Maximum video file size ...

Hi ...  In iPhoto, is there a maximum advisable size for video files ?

Hi a brody,
Thanks for your comment.  I am running iPhoto 9.1.3.  Activity Monitor returns Intel as the type of process.  No clue if it is 32 or 64bit.
How do I know if it is 32 or 64bit ?
Regards.

  • Maximum recommended file size for public distribution?

I'm producing a project with multiple PDFs that will be circulated to a goup of seniors aged 70 and older. I anticipate that some may be using older computers.
Most of my PDFs are small, but one at 7.4 MB is at the smallest size I can output the document as it stands. I'm wondering if that size may be too large. If necessary, I can break it into two documents, or maybe even three.
Does anyone with experience producing PDFs for public distribution have a sense of a maximum recommended file size?
I note that at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/ the Internal Revenue Service hosts 2,012 PDFs, of which only 50 are 4 MB or larger.
    Thanks!

First Open the PDF  Use Optimizer to examine the PDF.
a Lot of times when I create PDF's I end up with a half-dozen copies of the same font and fontfaces. If you remove all the duplicates that will reduce the file size tremendously.
Another thing is to reduce the dpi of any Graphicseven for printing they don't need to be any larger than 200DPI.
and if they are going to be viewed on acomputer screen only no more than 150 DPI tops and if you can get by with 75DPI that will be even better.
Once you set up the optimized File save under a different name and see what size it turns out. Those to thing s can sometimes reduce file size by as much as 2/3's.

  • Maximum Data file size in 10g,11g

    DB Versions:10g, 11g
OS & versions: Aix 6.1, Sun OS 5.9, Solaris 10
This is what Oracle 11g Documentation
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28320/limits002.htm
says about the Maximum Data file size
Operating system dependent. Limited by maximum operating system file size;typically 2^22 or 4 MB blocksI don't understand what this 2^22 thing is.
In our AIX machine and ulimit command show
    $ ulimit -a
    time(seconds)        unlimited
    file(blocks)         unlimited  <-------------------------------------------
    data(kbytes)         unlimited
    stack(kbytes)        4194304
    memory(kbytes)       unlimited
    coredump(blocks)     unlimited
    nofiles(descriptors) unlimited
    threads(per process) unlimited
processes(per user)  unlimitedSo, this means, In AIX that both the OS and Oracle can create a data file of any Size. Right?
What about 10g, 11g DBs running on Sun OS 5.9 and Solaris 10 ? Is there any Limit on the data file size?

How do i determine maximum number of blocks for an OS?df -g would give you the block size. OS blocksize is 512 bytes on AIX.
Lets say the db_block_size is 8k. What would the maximum file size for data file in Small File tablespace and Big File tablespace be?Smallfile (traditional) Tablespaces - A smallfile tablespace is a traditional Oracle tablespace, which can contain 1022 datafiles or tempfiles, each of which can contain up to approximately 4 million (222) blocks. - 32G
A bigfile tablespace contains only one datafile or tempfile, which can contain up to approximately 4 billion ( 232 ) blocks. The maximum size of the single datafile or tempfile is 128 terabytes (TB) for a tablespace with 32K blocks and 32TB for a tablespace with 8K blocks.

  • Video file size in Zen Moz

I recently bought a Zen Mozaic and I've stored some avi movies in it. As avi videos can take many disc space ( up to 700 MB) I tried to shrink the video size (by lowering the resolution). Although in my computer, these files have shrunken in size, when I converted them to my Zen, they still take as many disc space as the original files.
Is there any way I can shrink avi video file size in my Zen Mozaic?

Try changing the files to wmv format , it worked for me .....

  • Can I reduce video file size on iPad?

Is there an iOS app - iMovie for instance - that will allow me to reduce video file size on my iPad, without having to use a computer?

There are various Apps in the App Store that will compress a video file, try search on Video Slimmer or Video Compression.  Another option is to use a different App for recording the video in the first place; I use MoviePro quite extensively, it allows 5 different presets for resolution, bit rate etc. for recording video.

  • Sql loader maximum data file size..?

Hi - I wrote sql loader script runs through shell script which will import data into table from CSV file. CSV file size is around 700MB. I am using Oracle 10g with Sun Solaris 5 environment.
My question is, is there any maximum data file size. The following code from my shell script.

    DB_PASS=

    Hello Soma.
How many records exist in your 700 MB CSV file? How many do you expect to process in 10 minutes? You may want to consider performing a set of simple unit tests with 1) 1 record, 2) 1,000 records, 3) 100 MB filesize, etc. to #1 validate that your shell script and control file syntax function as expected (including the writing of log files, etc.), and #2 gauge how long the processing will take for the full file.
    Hope this helps,
    Luke

  • Maximum 3D File Size in AutoVue

    Hi All,
Is there any limitation of maximum 3D file size which can be viewed on Autovue? Is it depending on the server hardware or the client hardware?
    Best Regards
    Akhmad H Gumas

The limitations are on both client and server hardware
It also has to do with the format been read, not all formats are equal and some require more memory to generate a display

  • Is there a maximum project file size?

I am currently working on a project and the latest project file version I saved had about 922 KB - Premiere wouldn't want to open that again - it keeps crashing when I try to open it
Then I opened up a new project - imported just that sequence I was working on and suddenly it works again with a project file size of 238 KB
I have no idea what the reason for those crashes might be so I was wondering if there is such thing as a maximum project file size premiere can handle?

There really shouldn't be any load limitations other than those imposed by the Captivate files themselves. My guess is that you plan on using WebHelp, no? And if you are, the Captivate demos will be loaded as needed from the server. So the only lag you will see is the delay for what it takes for the server to serve up the demo itself.
Hopefully this answers your question. If not, post back and we will take another stab at it.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Need help shrinking iPhone video file sizes.

    Thanks in advance, folks!
I just recently bought an iPhone 4 and I love it. The only is, despite the phone recording in HD, the file sizes are huge. Even using the SD vga camera in the front, 2 and a half minutes equals 45MB.
Is there anything I can do in iTunes, or the phone itself to change the quality and reduce the file size? If not, is there a program I can use to do this?
I have searched all over the internet and haven't found any info. I really hope you guys can help me out. Again, thanks!

Pls change the file extension to the format in which the file was recorded for eg : .mp4, .3gp, .avi. Check first in which format ur phone records a video file and apply a similar extension do dat fill, revert if any query.

  • Video file size triples when transferred from camera into FCP

I recorded about 16gb of video in avchd on a canon hf10. When I import it into fcp6 using pro ress 422, the file sizes are enormous, about 100 gb from the original 16. How did this happen and how do I shrink my finished project it back down to fit on a dvd. I used compressor and Mpeg2 and got it down to 3.7gb but the quality was horrendous. I used compressor and h.264 and it took 24 hours then crashed before finishing.
using a canon vixia hf10, and FCP 6.
    Thanks!

AVCHD is not a convenient format for editing so FCP converts it to ProRes which as you have discovered is around 50GB for an hour of footage.
ProRes enables it to be edited more easily and with better quality.
The size in gigabytes of your project is completely irrelevant  .  .  .  .  it could be a terabyte with no problems.
All that matters is the length (time) of the project  .  .  .  .  as long as it is no more than a couple of hours or so you will have no problems fitting it onto a DVD as iDVD or DVD Studio Pro etc. will compress it all down to around 4GB  to fit.

  • Is There a Recommended Maximum Keynote File Size?

I am prepping my first Keynote presentation and I'm only 20% into it and already have a Keynote file size of 1 gig spread across 28 slides. I'm being careful to make sure that no individual slide gets too big (some using video), but I'm worried that I'm going to end up with something so large it'll give me problems! I know I can scale down file size but I don't think I'll gain that much. My presentation is just two days away!!!!
btw - I'm building on an iMac 3.06 with 4 GB Ram but will be presenting on an iBook Pro 2.66 with 4 GB
    Ram. Both with core2 Duo.
    thanks!

Hi kwieder: Late reply, but you should've been fine. Did the presentation go ok? You could've done a test run on the MBP 2.66 before the presentation. File size shouldn't really impact the presentation, unless you're using much older computer hardware. File size is just cumbersome when you're presenting for a conference or a company and they ask to check your presentation beforehand or request a copy etc.

  • Maximum Permitted File Size in XI

    Hi,
What is the maximum file size that XI can process ??
    (With no splitting in adapters)
    Thanks in Advance,
    Chemmanz

    Hi Chemmanz,
i open a call for file adapter and SAP answered me "...the technical limit is 2 GB." But this should be possible only without row conversion and performance is optimal.
I tested servaral file sizes, the bottleneck was in each case the mapping. My tested limit was 30 MB csv-file size, converted to 120 MB XML stream. The message mapping couldnt get enough memory.

  • Maximum hyperlink file size?

I have two home videos that I want to create a hyperlink to. The videos are HD and the hyperlink is a 2 GB compressed file. Each time I attempt to publish the webpage, the program "times out". (i.e. After a few minutes, iWeb claims to be unable to connect with MobileMe.) However, I can create a hyperlink to a smaller file and publish it with no problem.
The problem appears to be solely the result of the file's size. How can I overcome this problem?

2GB's is not a very compressed file and no one would want to wait hours (or days) to download it.
A file that size would also quickly use your monthly allotment of MobileMe bandwidth.
Use iTunes or QuickTime Player Pro to export your file to reduce the file size.
