Maxmimum RAM for Hp Notebook 14-ac080no

Hi People I am on my way of buying a HP 14-ac080no wich has 2 GB of RAM and what I can see 1 slot for RAM. The question is how much RAM can the laptop handle? Can I remove the 2GB-RAM and insert a 4GB or 8GB module instead? Does the motherboard support 2, 4 or 8 GB RAM? http://www.elgiganten.se/product/datorer-tillbehor/barbar-dator/HP14AC080NO/hp-14-ac080no-14-barbar-dator-svart#tab-specs

  • What's the maximum RAM for this notebook (ze2000)?

    Hello,
i want to find out, what's the max memory for notebook ze2000 (p/n: EF062EA#ABU)

    Hi:
According to the service manual for your notebook at the link below, maximum is 2 x 512 MB for 1 GB.
    Chapter 1, page 1-3.
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00400869.pdf
I would run the free Crucial Memory scanner and see what it reports.  1 GB seems pretty low for the hardware in your notebook.

  • Max ram for G60 notebook

i have a G60 notebook mod # VD896AV and i am having trouble finding out what is the maximun amount of ram i can put in this unit.  Can anyone help me?

    Hi:
On the CTO models HP does not provide specs.
To make matters worse, your model does not have a service manual linked to it where you could look up the memory upgrade info.
My suggestion would be for you to run the free Crucial memory scan tool, which will report how much and what kind of memory your notebook can use.
    http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/
Now, I did find this G60 service manual, and you can look at the specs in chapter 1 and see if you have any hardware such as the processor, that matches what is listed here.
If you have a processor that is listed in the manual, then the memory info listed in the manual should also apply to your model.

  • Buying RAM for MBP

I just bought a MBP with 2GB preinstalled, expecting to upgrade to 4GB through a 3rd party in order to save money. I was going to go with newegg.com's RAM, but now after thinking about it I'm starting to have cold feet, and there are a few things I need to straighten out before making the purchase.
First of all, is there any difference between the apple 2x2GB sticks for $180 and a 3rd party's for $80-$140? I'm a bit nervous about "getting what I paid for". It seems like the only difference would be the warranty that apple has, and even the sales guy at my local apple store said he would reccommend buying RAM through a 3rd party as long as I'm comfortable with installing it.
Second, on newegg.com the RAM products are titled "Company Name" 2x2GB RAM for apple notebook model "Then a string of letters and numbers, presumably the model number". But when I checked the model numbers of MBPs, none of them matched the model numbers that the RAM was for, and to make matters even more complicated, there are customer reviews on the site saying that they bought the RAM for their MBP and it worked great.
Third, if I do decide to go with a third party, is there any difference in quality between the $77 Patriot RAM and the $140 Corsair RAM as long as they're all DDR2 667?

Your model requires PC2-5300 DDR2 667 MHz SDRAM as set forth in the technical specifications in your computer's User Guide. Any brand RAM with those specifications will work. You will often find retailers offering two variations: an "economy" price for product that carries at best a one year warranty (sometimes it's unbranded or retailer branded); and the regular branded product that carries a Lifetime Warranty. The latter is higher priced but is what you should purchase.
Prices will vary so do some shopping. As long as the product comes with the Lifetime Warranty and the reseller has reasonable return policies in the event you get a defective product, you need not be overly concerned about who made the RAM or the retailer from whom your purchased it.
    Some reasonable sources are:

  • Satellite L300-22L - Which RAM for upgrade?

    Hello.
I have Satellite L300-22L notebook. Can you tell me which is the best RAM for my system in speed and capacity?

    Hi!
The Satellite L300-22L belongs to the PSLB8E series and is equipped with Intel GL40 chipset.
That means for upgrading the RAM you need modules with the specification DDR2 667MHz to a maximum of 4GB.
Theoretically you can buy modules with these specifications from every manufacture but I have good experience with Kingston modules. I use them always for upgrading my notebooks and never had problems.

    Hi,
Your notebook has 2 memory slots and can take a maximum of 2 x 4Gb DDR2 800MHz PC6400.  The procedure to replace the memory modules is detailed starting on Page 64 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

  • What ram for a G7-2003SD?

I'm trying to add more RAM to my notebook, but I don't know which type/speed etc.
Worst of all, partsurfer does not know my laptop exists, whether I type in G7-2003SD, or the PIC or the serial number.
I wish a booklet was included with the product that listed these basic properties, like how to expand the hardware etc.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
Your notebook can take a maximum 8Gb ram ( ie.  2 x 4Gb modules ).  As an example, the upgrade on the following link is suitable ( note that the model in the link is a G7-2003er, however the memory type is also correct for your machine ).
    http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Pavilion%20g7-2003er&Cat=RAM
If you wish to check the specification of your existing ram, download and run CPU-Z - the information you require is found on the Memory and Spd tabs.
The procedure for changing your ram can be found on Page 47 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

  • Upgrade Ram for my compaq presario cq 42-368tu laptop

Hi..i am in struggle.i nead a Ram upgrade urgently. My laptop is currently having elpida 2gb ram of 10600 pc3 1333mhz latency with 9 and i need to buy one ram of 2gb. Which comoany ram i need to buy? Did i need to buy elpida ram or can i buy fron other manufactures?please reply in detail or suggest one ram for me.help me please.

    Hi:
Yes, I agree that you are in a quandary. The "official" HP specs state max of 1 GB (512 + 512).  PC2100 DDR.
The configurators and other sources state max is 2 GB PC2100 DDR (you can install PC2700 DDR, but it will only run at the PC2100 speed. PC2700 is probably cheaper.
I can only give you techical information about your 845GV chipset, which supports 2 GB of memory as most 845 chipsets do.
So, the only limiting factor would be an artificial limitation put on the PC by the BIOS. I doubt that HP would do that, and so I conclude that perhaps the "official" HP specs are incorrect.
I have a HP 6910p notebook computer. HP's official specs state the maximum memory is 4 GB (2 x 2GB). However, I knew for a fact that the Intel 965 chipset supports up to 8 GB of PC2-6400 memory.  I took a chance and bought one 4 GB chip (as they were fairly expensive at $60 each).
As I hoped, the PC took the memory and Vista 64 bit reported 6 GB of memory. So then I bought the second 4 GB chip, removed the 2 GB chip, and my PC happily hums along with 8 GB of memory.
I know those chips are relatively expensive in relation to what you are getting but I say go for it.
Do what I did. Buy one. If it works, buy the second one.
May I recommend you do some comparison shopping?
I recommend this memory and if it is cheaper then I would go with it.

  • Imac as external monitor for windows Notebook

    Hi,
I want to switch from my Windows Pc to a mac for private use.
I prefer the new iMac (2011) 21,5" but I could not get an definite answer (not even in my local apple store) if it is possible to connect an existing Notebook (with VGA Mini-d-sub or DVI connector) to the new iMac in order to use the iMac as an external monitor for the Notebook.
I definitely need this for my business work in my home-office so this information is vital.
If ist is not possible I have to take the macMini and stay with my standard monitor.
Can please someone tell me if it is possible at all and if so, how it can be done.
I searched the internet and only found out that it was possible with the older 27" model but no information for the 2011 21,5" so please help!
Thank you in advance for your Support.

    Hi,
    Sorry to say, but ...
The 2011 iMacs (21.5" and 27") can only be used as a second display via a Thunderbolt-to-Thunderbolt cable.
The 2009 and 2010 27" iMacs can be used as a second display via a DisplayPort connection.

  • Are there suggestions for managing Multiple VMWare Fusion systems sharing files with a MacBook?  Suppose I have enough ram for 3 servers to share files.

Suppose I have enough ram for 2 or three VMWare fusion systems to that could benefit from file sharing.  Is it possible to configiure each VMWare funsion instance to have a common read only file share on my desktop and a common read/write area on on my desktop?
This would allow me to extend the power and mustle of my Mac Book Air, Retina Display system to its best advantage.  Whether native Mac processing or speciality linux or Windows systems as needed.
I am having trouble allowing more than one system to share the same read only and the same read/write areas so that software does the file locking and merge controls.  Even if these do not share a common read/write area, it would be truly handy for drive space management for them to share a common read only area.
    Thanks for your thoughtful input.

It really denpends on the os running in the vm and what the permissions are set to on those shares.
I run a few vms on both a mac at home and windows at work and all other computers in my home or at work can connect to the vms without any problems. Even multiple computer at the same time.
It also depends on how you have set the vm up for networking. If you are setting it up as nat, instead of bridged, that can also cause problems access it from multiple system. With nat the vm is on its own network branch.

  • Can't find drivers for my notebook

    Hi,
I am in need of drivers for my notebook, and the site where I would usually get them from (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=au&dlc=en&lc=en&product=7169846) is not working at all. Is there some other page where I can download drivers? The notebook is the HP Pavilion 15-p025AX and the P/N is J3Z02PA#ABG.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can i allocate more RAM for my onboard video card on a 2011 macbook pro 13 inch running windows 7 via bootcamp

I noticed that since Macbooks.. macs in general use an EFI instead of BIOS.  . .. Now i need to allocate some more RAM for the onboard video card since its currently running with an estimated 50mb.. I would like to increase this to 512  and cut the 3.95 down to 3.5 MB for the rest of the system ( allowing me to run more graphic intensive games and the such ... ) I know this could slow down the entire system.. ( i am aware of this ) and have gotten a 3rd party application to control and close out uneeded processes during gaming.. I just need more ram for my onboard video card.. Any help?

You don't allocate more RAM towards your video card, you put more RAM into the machine and hopefully some machines will bump the CPU graphics RAM allocation up a little.
The problem is you bought a integrated only graphics computer, if you want to 3D game you need a dedicated graphics computer with it's own or dedicated VRAM.
If your this serious about 3D gaming, your on the wrong platform.
Get a Windows 7 64bit i7 8GB RAM expandable 3D gaming tower with a good power supply and video card upgrade path, this way every few years you buy and stick in a new video card to play the latest games.
Mac's are not gaming machines and never will be because they would last too long if we could upgrade them.
