Got brand new laptop and unboxed it and started it up. It configured itself for first use. From there, I uninstalled Norton Antivirus, Some of the Microsoft Live Sync, some Essentials, etc. I also uninstalled Toshiba's Bulletin Board, and their Speech programs, as we don't use those features. I then went to burn the recovery disks. When I went to the recovery creator, it started to burn disk 1 and about 20 minutes into it, my lcd display shut off and I had to tap the keyboard to get it up again. I quickly set the power settings to never turn off lcd, hard drive or go into sleep mode when plugged in. When the screen came back up, there was no Recovery Creator Menu anymore. The cd was still burning disk 1, but I was unable to see the progress, and trying to click on the Recovery Creator again didn't bring it up. I decided to wait, because the disk drive was still humming away. About 10 minutes after all that happened, the tray popped open stating that disk 1 was completed and I need to put another disk in to create disk 2. I did, but about 15 minutes into that burn, I heard a chiming sound and went to the laptop to find an error message something like this:
"File not readable from the target drive D:\ZZimages\zzimages\PREINSTS.swm with an error code number in parenthesis (xxxx-xx-xxxxxxxx)."
It gave me the options to retry, cancel or abort. I decided to abort because I was tired and didn't want to sit around another 30 minutes and waste another dvd. The next morning, I booted up the laptop and decided to try again. I got the exact same error message, so this time I called Toshiba tech support. The guy told me that I needed to change my screen saver settings. (which there wasn't one set) and also told me to change my power settings to never for battery and plug-in while I was burning the disks. (this of course was already done for the plug-in setting, and I wasn't attempting to burn them with it unplugged.) He gave me a reference number and told me to call if I had further issues. I tried to burn the disks again and it wouldn't even burn disk 1 without giving a similar error message. I called back in to tech support and another guy told me to redownload the Recovery Disk Creator from their website. I told him that I didn't think the problem was with the software on drive C:, but with the actual hidden drive D:'s files that I couldn't access. He told me if the download didn't work to use the recovery option from the hard drive and reconfigure it to new out of box, if that didn't work either return to store or send in for fixing.
The download didn't work, same issues...wasted 5 dvds, so I opted for the recovery partition on the hard drive. When I booted into the drive hitting F8, I chose HDD recovery to out of box. It went through the motions for the next hour of restarting, configuring, loading drivers, etc. I discovered it was in an endless loop and googled to find out that some previous Toshiba laptops running Vista's recovery were having issues with this until disabling the wifi card. Needless to say, I disabled the wifi card and it went to the next step, stopped the endless recovery loop and then it burned all 5 dvds with no issues! I hope this may prevent someone from getting stuck like I did!
My recommendations would be before you start to attempt recovery disks, temporarily change your power settings to never for the hard disk, lcd display turning off and going into sleep mode. Then if for some strange reason you have these issues and have to do a full OOBE recovery, turn off the wireless card to keep it from looping!

yes it is common, since any newly created folder has the default set of permissions, which in current OSX versions and most other unixoid systems is "755" or "rwx r-x r-x".
If you want to change this to the more private setting ("700" or "rwx --- ---"), as used by the subfolders within your home directory in OSX, you need to use the terminal command "chmod" or the Info-Panel within the Finder to alter the permissions manually.

Outlook 2007 denied calendar access when shared by other outlook 2007 users....

i have exchange 2010 with latest sp. we use outlook 2013/2010/2007 on windows os's vista through 8.1. Calendar sharing via setting explicit permissions in outlook 2010/2013 works fine. in outlook, select calendars, right click calendar, set explicit permissions
for user you want to share calendar with to Free/busy/subject/location. works ok for 2010 and 2013. However Outlook 2007 client does same and the other outlook 2007 intended recipient gets "you dont have permission to access xxxx calendar. DO you want
to send a request?" WHen you send a request you are automatically granted "Reviewer" permission to the mailbox. Our staff dont want to give that much detail. Is this a bug or config error? I expected to set the permissions on a users calendar
to a mailgroup and share it using the free/busy/subject/location permission set. SO i was surprised to see this didn't work and generated the permission error + request permission email. any ideas would be appreciated.
The main reason to share this way is to avoid giving reviewer permission to everyone you share with.
Also please note that an Outlook 2013 user who uses the method above to set permissions for groups will have other outlook 2013 users view his calendar based on the permissions set. Outlook 2007 clients still get permission denied...do you want to request
permission...
After more testing I found that upgrading to outlook 2010 seems to work. I would prefer to avoid the cost of the upgrade if possible however it seems that Outlook 2010 works correctly and Outlook 2007 does not.

My understanding is that no matter the calendar owner shares the calendar via Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2007, the Outlook 2007 recipient can't open the calendar and receive the message to send a request, am I correct? If yes, please let me explain.
In short, it is by design in Outlook 2007. In Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007(and later), the "Free/Busy time" and "Free/Busy time, subject, location" permissions only apply when checking the user's free/busy information (for example,
when looking in the Scheduling tab of a meeting request) and not when looking in another user's Calendar folder.
To workaround this issue, when sharing the calendar in Outlook, please add "Folder visible". Thus the Outlook 2007 recipients should be able to open the shared calendar.

I've had the same problem more than once since I started trying to download my 14 April purchase of OS X Mountain Lion.
I found a property list called manifest.plist in my ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder which had a Boolean property called failed checked. I unchecked it and afterwards I was able to resume my download.
Here are some steps I've found useful:
Close the Mac App Store.
make a copy of the ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder. For some strange reason the Mac App Store likes to just delete it in some circumstances, which will mean that one has to start one's download again from the very beginning.
Double click on the manifest.plist in one's ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder.
This should open it in Property List Editor.
Expand all the nodes (holding down the alt key and clicking on the highest collapsed node should do it.
Find a key called failed of type Boolean and uncheck it.
Save the manifest.plist and close it.
Open the Mac App Store.
The red message "an error has occured" should now be gone and one should be able to resume one's download.
In the event that the ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder gets deleted:
start the download again (it will start from the beginning), pause it and close the Mac App Store.
copy your backup copy of the pkg file back to its sub-folder (it's a numbered folder in the ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder).
Open the Mac App Store and resume your download.
It should continue from where it left off.
This has worked for me so far. I'm holding my breath. Don't know if I'll still be alive when it's finished.

Any sales order processing is same and userexits will use when standard SAP is not supported the client requirment.
Cash sales do not have credit management & delivery will create once order is saved.
We did some changes in userexit for return orders where storage location need to determine when order type is RE and mainatin the storegae loctaion on some Z tables.

How do I remove on-line help files (other than English)

When I do a search within Files (OFO) that returns on-line help documents, I get a list of all the on-line help files for EVERY language. I'd like to eliminate the non-English language on-line help files so my users don't have to click every link to figure out which one is in English.
I have already created a TAR for this, but the person that responded suggested that I could just delete all of the non-English on-line help folders as the Files Admin. However, as Files Admin, I didn't have appropriate permissions to do so.

Try ordering your songs by date added. The ones you just added will be at the top (or the bottom) - then you've just got to find where the newly added list stops and the old tracks begin and select all the tracks from then onwards. Sorted.

    It could be that DSO_X is a write optimized DSO. Since a Write optimised DSO does not require any activation, it is capable of loading data much faster. Once the data is in BW, you have an exact copy of the R/3 data, so you dont need the PSA and they can be deleted on a regular basis. You have a definite performance improvement in this case.
   As you said a backup is also possible if you have a DSO. Helps in the case of LIS loads, since you already have a copy of the data in BW, you would not need to perform setup activties if you need to do so minor changes.
   It could also be that different transformations are happening at each level of DSO. You would need to check for start and update routines for exactly what changes are being made. for eg. If I need to change some records, i do it in DSO_X, if i need to change these records based on the changes made in DSO_X, i change them while loading to DSO. Further changes can be done while loading to the cube.

I am trying to get a list of groups that the currently logged on user belongs to. I came accross an interface in the RG "UserAccountIBeanIfc" which has a method "getGroupsAsCollection".
The problem is that i do not know how to call this method.

I understand what you are trying to do now. You can definitely accomplish what you are trying to do using the IAPIs. Logically, here is what you need to do:
- Get the User Account Bean for the current logged in user
- Get the list of user groups from the User Account Bean
- Iterate over the list to see if the logged in user is a member of the user groups required to perform the operation
- If the user is a member, let the operation be executed
- If the user is not a member, throw an exception using ApplicationException
To get the User Account Bean for the current logged in user, you would use code such as:
accHome = IBeanHomeLocator.lookup(session, session.getAccount().getAccountObjectReference());
accBean = accHome.find(session.getAccount().getAccountObjectReference());
The accBean would have the method on it that you want to use to get the list of user groups:
groupColl = accBean.getGroupsAsCollection();
You should then be able to iterate over the groupColl to establish whether the user is a member of any of the required groups.

Help with JTree data by user input

I am trying to read data into a JTree without it being hardcoded.
An example of the data is:
String data[] = {"a","b","c",";","b","g","h",";","c","t",";","g","u"};
The above data is taken from user input and stored in an array and checked for errors.
I want to somehow read take the above array's data and put it into following format in some kind of loop but I am not sure how.
Object[] hierarchy = {"a", new Object[]{"b",new Object[]{"g","u"},"h"},new Object[]{"c","t"}};
This Object is then passed to a function that interpets it and prints out the appropriate JTREE structure. For the values above it would be:

Tha problem is how to take the string array and put that data correctly into the Object array. I have been racking my feeble mind for quite sometime and if any one out there can see it or has a better idea of how to get my data into the JTree please let me know.

Yes it is possible but if you have a free Yahoo account, Yahoo prevents accessing a free Yahoo account with any email client like the Mail.app for U.S. residents. If you have a paid Yahoo account which I believe costs only $20/year, you can access the account with the Mail.app and the account settings to set up the account in Mail are provided at Yahoo's website.
If you have an AOL email account, check Accessing the AOL Mail System using IMAP & Authenticated SMTP An Unofficial Guide and if you are currently using the AOL program to access your AOL account, you can use the AOL Service Assistant.

I may be helping Cedega produce a package for Arch... any thoughts?

It is possible I may be helping Cedega produce a *.pkg.tar.gz for their product line. I figured this may be good experience as well as helping out the community, in general. I am aware that some people like Wine and some may like Cedega, in addition. I would like to hear some thoughts on how this would help benefit ArchLinux community. Currently, as I know it, there is only a *.tar.gz file for Archlinux. Which means they have to compile it in order for it to work. However, I feel it would be nice to have a Cedega-<ver>.pkg.tar.gz that people can download. They seemed to be interested in my offer. I wanted to to know what ArchLinux community's opinion, would be, however, before I decide on such an endeavour. All comments are appreciated, of course!
P.S. Should I have a Poll on this?

There is no reason to offer a pkg.tar.gz file of cedega, that is what the AUR and makepkg is for. You alter the PKGBUILD to however you like and then run the command makepkg in the directory of the PKGBUILD and when its done u will have a compiled binary.
No need for anyone to host a binary package, anyone wanting to use cedega has a computer that is easily capable to compile the program with makepkg.
TO ANY DEV THAT READS THIS: this is what I mean by awareness of the AUR. AUR is the answer to all this OP's questions yet he is unaware of the process to complete such task. Just another friendly reminder.
