May be the stupidest question, but anyway - where do I put my libraries?
So, I download the Java Activation Framework, MAIL api, beanshell, etc. I get a nifty directory with not only the JAR but the javadocs etc.
Where do people put these things on MAC OsX? I'm sure there's a best practice based on standards for where things go in unix.
You put them whereever you like to have them, and add them to your classpath...

If you don't see the 'send reset info' button on the page where you can change them then I assume that you don't have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. As you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset. You could try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security

A new mailbox/folder - you can't, not yet. If you're using an IMAP mail account, you can create a mailbox on the server (either through webmail or desktop mail) and it'll appear on the iPad.
We've been told the upcoming iOS5 will allow you to do so (I assume, provided you have IMAP).

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

When I sign in to my Apple ID in "My Apple ID" and go to "Passwod and Security" I should answer the security questions but I don't remeber them and the bar that says "send to rescue email" doesn't show !! How could I recover the questions??

You've checked the spam folder on your rescue email account and tried clicking the reset link again to re-request it ? You could also contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
