May i have an education price choosing any college if i dont study there?

im living in Colombia, and apple products are really unfairly expensive and theres no education price in Colombia and actually i do study in a college (im studying System engineer in the university "El bosque"), but i am planning to buy it online in apple.com in the united states choosing any college to have an education price and send it to my family that live there, then they are going to send it to me. im thinking about choose any college in the site http://store.apple.com/us-hed/findyourschool is there a rule that forbid it?
does Apple verify if i actually study there or not? because i dont think that apple would give an education price without checking if thats true or not, isnt it?
Sorry, but the world isn't fair. Blame your government's import and tax policies and the local costs of doing business, among many other factors, for price differences.

Is you debit card no longer accepted ? If not then do you have a different debit card that you could try, or are iTunes gift cards available in your country - they are not available in all countries, and they are country-specific (they can only be redeemed and used in their country of issue. If not then the only payment methods that you can use are those that show on the payment details screen on your account.

II'm not aware of any comprehensive list. However you can get the education price at any Apple store or online by showing proof that you are an enrolled student.

I don't believe Apple lets you delete old accounts. They also will not let you merge them.

I've been working on a newsletter and have the final version. But I wanted to check something in a verssion I did last week. If I choose the day in Time Machine, is there any way I can view that document without "restoring" it to replace the final version?
You can drag and drop a file from TM to the desktop.
Let's say your newsletter is on the desktop. First thing to do is to add something to the file name, say Newsletter_1.
Next open TM as if it is just another external drive by double clicking the icon. (This is not the same as "Enter Time Machine" which you do when you want to restore.) The file hierachy in TM follows the same logic as on your hard drive. Navigate to the date you want, find the file you want, and drag and drop it where you want it to be. Because you changed the name of the most recent version you can both files in the same space.
I do this often.
But remember if you make a back up now you will end up with both versions in TM. -
Sync from iPhone to iCal on MacBook has failed since the latest iPhone upgrade, yesterday. It's worked in reverse, and all other sync operations appear to have worked. Any solutions, that I may not have already tried (over and over)
(Sorry, first time user of these forums, and it's confusing in it's own right)You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

How can I tell if I have an educational version?
I bought Lightroom V1 a couple of years ago, it may or may not have been an educational version at the time. I still have the disks & serial number, but don't have the original box any more.
Anyway, I have since upgraded my camera to a Canon EOS 50D whose raw files aren't supported under v1.4, so I would like to upgrade my version of Lightroom. However, the way I read the small print is that I shouldn't be able to upgrade an educational version. I don't want to spend the money buying an upgrade version if it won't upgrade, and I would prefer to wait until V3 comes out if I need to buy a full version.
Is there any way I can tell if I the version I have is an education version.Another option would be to download the stand-alone DNG converter. It should be able to recognize your RAW files and convert them to DNG, which you could then (I believe) import into v1.4. I say "believe" because I think there was a DNG version upgrade recently, but I think it was backwards compatible so LR v1.4 would recognize the newer DNG.
Give it a try.
Just offering that as an alternative to upgrading.
BTW, I think you're right about upgrading an educational version. But my experience has been that the educational price for a new version is about the same price as the retail price for the "upgrade" version. -

2) Click the Manage your account link on the right sideof the page.
3) Enter the account name (Apple ID) and the password you used when creating the account.
4) Change the email address associated with your account.
5) Send new verification email

Not that I know. S&T pricing only applies to verified institutions. Could well be that you may need to fill out a paper with whatever governmental authority is responsible on the planet you live, but otherwise you're just a private business like any other and would most likely deduct the expenses from your tax bill...

My current Apple ID, for which all of my content has been downoaded (e.g., music, apps) is associated with a work email address that I will no longer have access to in the near future. In my Apple ID account, I noticed I had two alternate emails listed, one is my .me account and the other is my .gmail account. I use my .gmail account, and it is the primary email I use with friends and family. I noticed both were not verified, and when I tried to, it said they were both associated with other accounts. I was able to log into a separate Apple ID account I must have set up at tone point with my .gmail, and I changed the email address to a new one I created. I also deleted the gmail account from any other Apple-relted account I could think of. I am still gettgin the same error message when I try to add it to my current Apple ID: "This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."
My concern is this: with FaceTime and now iMessage, it seems more important than ever that I am able to use my correct email address. With iOS5 beta, I cannot enter either my .gmail or.me accounts under "You can be reached for messages at:" as I get an error stating: Unable to verify email because it is already in use."

I just spoke with a technician at Apple. I hsven't been able to verify because the wife has the phone. but he said all that you need to do is:
1) Go to Settings --> iTunes Store and login with your Apple ID and pwd
2) Go to Settings --> iCloud and login with your Apple ID and pwd
seems that the phone requires you to login to the store first... -

I want to change my apple id but get the message "This email address is not available for use as an Apple ID. You may already have an Apple ID associated with this address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID.". I try to log a call with apple support and I get a message like "cannot schedule a call". That leaves me out of options. Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues changing your Apple ID. It is correct that if an email address has been used previously for an Apple ID, it can not be used for a different Apple ID, as noted in this article:
In most cases, your Apple ID is also the primary email address of your Apple ID account. You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it's not already in use as an Apple ID. If your email address ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com, it's already an Apple ID.
