Maya 2015 playback glitches on Macbook pro 15"

To whom it may concern,
i've bought recently a macbook pro 15" retina. I'm using Maya 2015 by Autodesk as my principal workstation and I noticing like losing a lot of frames during the playback, like glithces. How can I solve this problem? I having this issue also on Blender software.

I finally figured this out. It was the version our client embedded into the movie. Turns out it was all rolled into one. newer Flash player bundling worked fine!

Audio pitch / playback speed issue, MacBook Pro 10.4.10

I experienced a very strange audio pitch and speed issue that affected a recording I was making in Ableton Live 6.0.3.
Setup is MacBook Pro 2.16GHz, Mackie Onyx Satellite FW interface for audio, recording straight to internal HD.
I made two multitrack recordings (3-4 tracks each) which played back fine initially within Live. I then rendered the audio to AIFF in order to burn data and audio CDs.
Testing the playback in iTunes, the audio was strangely pitched lower than what we originally recorded. Checking other tracks from my iTunes library, they were playing back FASTER or higher-pitched than normal, and so did audio streamed from MySpace that I was familiar with.
CDs burnt from these AIFFs exhibited the same "lower pitch" / slower playback.
Reopening the Live Set, they were now also playing back lower pitched than what we had heard just minutes beforehand during the recording / mixing.
After I let the computer sleep for a few hours, I came back and checked -- system and internet audio was now playing back at normal speed, but the Live Set was still lower-pitched - the individual WAV files in the set were all pitched lower.
The Live recording prefs were stock standard - set to record 24 bit WAV at 44.1Khz. Since the issue seemed to affect non-Live audio as well, I'm guessing it was something more at the CoreAudio level?
I managed to salvage the session by taking the exported AIFFs into Tracktion 3 and using the pitch change function in the Clip Properties pane. One track was 1.5x off, the other was 1.125x off.
I'm at a complete loss as to why this would happen. It's a first (and hopefully only) occurrence. Has anyone had this happen to them? Could this be some sort of intermittent hardware (clock) glitch? Something to do with 6.0.3 and OS 10.4.10?
I do need to take this MacBook Pro in for servicing - it experienced the "bulging battery" issue and has a partially dead keyboard (the keys near the upper right) - but even with those issues I've not had audio issues like this.

In any case, if my Mac had problems, I'd send it in for service....!!!
About your problem, I don't think that it depends on hardware.
I'd check Live configuration and the SR of the audio files: you know, Live has so many features to modify speed and a lot of other parameters that bacomes easy to forget something.
Try recording something with Garage Band so you will be sure if there is a real problem.

Target display glitching from macbook pro to 2010 27" imac

When i connect using a mini DV port to mini DV port, the Imac screen flickers, glitches and shakes, occasionally blacking out. This seemed to occur when i changed the sound output from the inbuilt speakers of the laptop to the speakers of the imac. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

if your 13-inch MacBook Pro has a Thunderbolt port, then it’s not a Mid 2010 model. If your iMac is a 21-5 inch Late 2009 model, then it doesn’t support Target Display mode; you would need a 27-inch Late 2009 model (or newer) or a 21.5-inch Mid 2011 model (or newer) for that support.

Screen glitch on macbook pro when opening

When I open my Macbook Pro after it has been closed for a while the screen glitches. It happens for a few seconds and then goes back to normal.
I couldn't get a screenshot of it but it looks kind of like this (except filling the whole screen and slightly less dense):
I'm interested in how to fix it but more interested in making sure it isn't going to lead to greater problems. I can honestly live with it if I have to but I want to make sure it won't get worse.

Just select Print in Safari and then, in the bottom left-hand corner, select PDF and you can save it to whichever flavor pdf file you like.

Screen glitches and macbook pro crashes

I have a 2012 15" MacBook Pro running Lion. Sometimes the screen glitches out, gray lines appear on it then my computer freezes and must be restarted sometimes it will beep 3 times when restarting and other times it won't. It happens mostly when I open programs like iMovie, Photoshop, VMware Fusion, and one time, Spotify. Is this a virus, software issue, etc? An error message usually appears after being restarted. It does it all the time please help.

It sounds like a hardware problem, but you can try resetting the SMC and PRAM:

On the SMC reset, use the option for a battery you should not remove yourself.

Graphical Glitches on Macbook Pro, Reinstalled and still there...

Over the past few months, I have been getting some graphical glitches on my Macbook Pro. Recently, They've been occuring more frequently. I've reinstalled Leopard and they are still occuring.
Since I've gotten this Macbook Pro, It's had the Superdrive replaced, Battery replaced, Magsafe connector replaced, charger replaced, logic board replaced, keyboard replaced, top bezel/trackpad replaced, and the airport card replaced, all to fix various issue's. I've tried to get apple to replace it since it's obviously a lemon but to no avail, even though I purchased AppleCare. This is my second Macbook Pro. Anyways, I've taken screenshots of the problems that randomly occur.

You really need to call Apple Customer Relations (800) 767-2775 instead of AppleCare. Just tell them what you stated in your post.
Be firm but polite when requesting a replacement.

Audio playback issues on MacBook Pro

The right audio channel has suddenly stopped working on my MacBook Pro.... some of the time. If I use iTunes, DVD Player, Quicktime, VLC, or any media application, I only hear audio on the left channel. This is equally true whether I play audio through the speakers, or via the headphone jack. However when I restart the laptop, the startup tone is clearly heard through both speakers. I have tried resetting the PRAM and the SMC to no avail. Any guesses?

Follow-up: it occurred to me that I didn't check the "Sound" Preference settings. It turns out that somehow the slider had set itself all the way to the left channel without my touching it -- I haven't used the balance slider in years, probably, if ever. Weird.... but problem solved.

I am trying to enable the GPU powered rendering on my MBP Retina with a GT 650M, but Premiere Pro offers me in the project settings only the standard software based way.
How can I enable it?

Just because a card has CUDA capabilities does not mean it needs a CUDA driver.
I agree to it but specific to GT 650M, if you check the link shared by me in first post it clearly states in the "Additional infomation" section that "Quadro FX for Mac or GeForce for Mac must be installed prior to CUDA 5.0.36 installation"
hence what I am trying to say here is for GT 650M to have the complete usage of CUDA there has to be specific driver installed that it version 5.0.36 (Latest CUDA Driver).
And like I said, I've seen where installing the CUDA driver with a GeForce actually causes issues, makes things not work.
Agreeing to this as well, Most of the GeForce card doesn't have the CUDA development capability as in GT 650M, hvaing both drivers can cause these conlicts.(http://blogs.nvidia.com/2012/06/new-macbook-pros-make-for-great-cuda-dev-platforms/)
Let me also clarify that Premiere Pro can use either OpenCL or CUDA for GPU processing on the GT 650M if updated to 6.0.2. The default is to use OpenCL. You can change this in the General project settings but the option to select the CUDA is ideally greyed out/inactive if there is no CUDA driver installed with GT 650M.

Playback stutters on MacBook Pro, not on another computer

Hi,
I have a strange problem with QT's exported from QT player PRO. The base file is a 1280x720 HD QT in Apple ProRes which I exported in H264 640x360. When I playback the exported movie it stutters (jumps back and forth rappidly). No, it's not a fieldorder issue, because the original file is progressive. It's actually a cool effect, but very unwanted The strange thing is when I copy the same file to another Mac it plays back fine. Any clues?

ITunes 10 glitch on Macbook Pro (Snow Leopard)

..this happens whenever i press the plus sign for it to become the mini version, but when i maximize it again, a weird glitch occurs that won't go away until i perform a killall iTunes in Terminal. I dont know why it happens, it never did it before until i updated it. I took a screenshot of it

Video Playback Problem in Macbook Pro

I'm facing problem playing any video in my Mac. Nomatter what player I'm using, after few second the video gets hanged for 1-2 second and then again resume but the audio is playing naturally. I don't know why this is ocuring but I really can't enjoy any video on my mac.. Please help me to fix up this problem. I've tried Quicktime, VLC and MplayerX players and all are ocuring same problem. I'll be waiting for your kind help. Thanks.

15" MacBook Pro Retina Early 2013 GPU Panic

Started getting repeated kernel panics tonight. All GPU panics according to console. Tried the uncheck automatic graphics switching work around that's been discussed on here numerous times, but found that induced panic. What does the fact that not allowing automatic graphics switching induces panic tell me about what hardware issues I may have? Any possible workarounds? Just trying to get through finals week, then going to take it in for service.

Why won't my DVDs from iDVD play on my Macbook Pro?

I have made over 3 dozen DVDs from home movies using iMovie and iDVD. They have all played fine on my Macbook Pro. For some reason now, any movies I make and burn using iMovie and iDVD won't playback on my Macbook Pro, but will playback on my wifes Macbook or our DVD player or a windows computer. What is going on?

I am having the same problem and it is extremely inconvenient and frustrating. Here's what is happening to me:
I am a Film and Video Studies major at George Mason University, so I use Final Cut Pro a lot, everything works fine with that. I export it to Quicktime and go through the regular procedure of putting in on iDVD. My friend was working on a project and I told him I would help him out by making him a DVD as a part of his final project. So I made the DVD using iDVD in the computer lab, same operating system, same software. I used the type of DVD's I used before so that's not it. After I burned it, I took it back to my dorm and tried to watch it, instead of opening the DVD Player application it opened iDVD and asked me if I wanted to start a new project.
Anybody know what's going on?

Clitching H264 Playback on 2nd monitor - 17" MacBook Pro/NVIDIA

I have used Keynote professionally for many years, and often use H264 compressed videos (that I have created in After Effects). This has always worked very well until the last few weeks when I noticed that every now and then there is a glitch in the playback of H264 movies when a 2nd monitor/video projector is attached.
Glitch description: A completely random flash/breakup of the image that lasts for single frame - similar to the old flash frame you used to get when playing back MPEG2 movies in PowerPoint. This does not cause the video to stop playing, but is annoying when using it in a profesional presentation. It is also completely random and occurs at least once a minute during playback. This only occurs on the new MacBook Pro's that have the NVIDIA graphics card. It does not occur when using the laptop's LCD display only - ie: no 2nd output used. It does occur on the laptop's LCD if a second display/projecter is plugged in. This does also not occur on my ATI equiped MacBook Pro 15" or my G5 or my iMac.
It appears to be a problem with the NVIDIA card.
