Maybe have wrong DVD in package

I found the redemption number, got the serial numbers. When I loaded the DVD for Adobe photoshop.elements 12 and Adobe.premerie.elements 12 MACos, all that comes up is a file, lots of files. Where is the part that you load on to your computer.I bought this in 9/13. I am using windows 8.1 I am thinking not all came with box????Is that possible? I have to sleaves that would hold two DVD, but only one had this DVD in it the other was empty. No Photoshop and Premiere Elements 12 are Photo and Video editing software respectively. There may be the possibility of backing up your photos and videos online but I would make sure you are also utilizing other methods as a primary means to back up files on your computer.

If you don't have a SuperDrive you will not be able to burn DVDs.
Did iDVD come preinstalled on your Mac? If it did then you should have a SuperDrive and be able to burn DVDS. Check the Disk Burning section of System Information
to see what you can read and write with your optical drive:

operation have been started from SAINT transaction. But we have an
error in DDIC_IMPORT phase like below:

I solved problem. But now I have another problem in phase DDIC_ACTIVATION. Error information is like below:

I have no DVD drive on my computer. Where are the downloads located?

I received discs for Photoshop elements & premier elements 12 with my new camera but my computer doesn't have a DVD drive. I assumed it would be no big deal to download them from the Internet...wrong. .I have serial numbers to install Photoshop but I cannot find where the downloads are located. I find plenty of "trial" downloads but I should not have to pay for a product I already have. Can anyone help me out there in cyber-land? Adobe has no information on the website and I am unable to locate a live person. So, that is you! Hey live person, can you help this little ol lady? Thank you so much!!

I am okay with a computer but not a geek that is for sure!
I downloaded the assistant and nothing happened. I went to the site you so kindly suggested and started the download, and when I tried to apply it to the computer it said elements were missing. I deleted the download and then started again. Right now it is once again downloading the assistant.

What was the problem...the length of time for the download or just getting any download at all?
If necessary, I will go step by step with you through the tryout download from Adobe. But, the purchase of a USB external DVD/CD burner for your computer is a good idea and investment.
If you do the shopping for this, check out how many connections are necessary for it to the computer....none, one, or two...check out the length of the USB cable.
Please let us know how we can help. But, your mentioned place of purchase has a squad who should be able to help your with the purchase.

There could be a 32 bit vs 64 bit issues-is the old machine a 32 bit? and what is the new machine as far as 32/64 bit. I am not sure now if CS5 has in the help menu of the PS app the selection to update within PS if so that might work. I know that the Creative cloud app for installs updates etc has caused me much consternation over the last couple few years. Last it could be something like your Software firewall settings or anti-virus anti malware programs. I know that updating the infamous adobe flash that Internet Explorer pop ups setting and having AV turned on as opposed to off can interfere or plain break the update ability

The soon to be released new iMacs don't have a DVD drive. I don't believe that Apple have updated their site to say their USB drive will work, but the expectation is that it will.
I watched the keynote and when Phil Schiller was presenting the new models I think he mentioned something about it working and he had one on the desk next to the iMac.
I'm going to check the keynote if it's still up and I'll update my post if I'm wrong.

Try cleaning the lens and see if that will restore functionality to the DVD drive. Use a DVD lens cleaning disk, if you have a can of compressed air, shoot some into the slot or wrap a fine microfiber cloth (eyeglasses cleaning cloth) around a business card and insert it gently inside the slot.
If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and get a free diagnosis from them.

Hi, the last install dvd that came out for mac's was Snow Leopard,10.6.3. Lion is a download from apple. You cannot just install it over Yosemite. You would have to backup your drive to save files you want and do a clean install. You might want to look into getting more memory.
