Maybe I'm just being stupid but
Where on earth is the Uk support email address. I went into customer support, then clicked on email support. I selected my mp3 player type and when i got to the end it said that there was no matches and i had several options. I chose the email support one but it just took me back to the start which is obviously useless. My Zen is severely broken and i just want to find out how to get it repaired/replaced. Can anyone tell me how to do this. I have no intention of calling some premium rate number so can someone please help me.

You open multiple pdfs in Preview :
+Menu > View > Sidebar > Show Sidebar > click on the thumbnail icon (little black squares) at the bottom of the sidebar+
You can drag the thumbnails of your individual or more pages from one .pdf sidebar to the other or to or from the desktop.
In Pages select an object, textbox, shape or table, by holding down the command key and clicking on the object edge.
You can drag the corner around by again holding the command key down whilst pointing near a corner. The cursor turns into a curved arrow, drag the object around.

Well, maybe just a few, but I just wanted to say Apple that iPhoto 6 is a huge improvement over 5. You finally got me to switch from iView, and for the most part, I'm very happy with the results. I used to shoot in RAW+jpeg because I usually wanted to e-mail a bunch of shots quickly to the in-laws wihout futzing around with conversions for every picture, but now I let iPhoto create the jpegs for me on import. I actually love the way iPhoto automatically creates jpegs from the RAW's for mailing or sharing on the web. Saves me a lot of space on the camera cards now that I can just shoot in RAW and leave the jpeg creation to iPhoto. For the small subset of RAW's that I want to fully process, I just control+click edit to open up DPP or photo shop, where I fully process and then save in TIFF and then use an automator to bring the Tiff back into iPhoto. Works like a charm, and I don't have to fudge around in the iView library keeping track of zillions of jpeg's and RAW's. I also like the way iPhoto keeps your original RAW intact no matter what edits you make.
Even though the new iPhoto lets you reference files, ala iView, I've decided to abandon this practice, and let the app manage folders for me. I learned after using iView for the last few years, that there isn't much point in managing files if you also have albums and keywords. I always thought it was important to manage files, but I just ended up piling everything into year folders anyway and then using catalogs and keywords to organize. There's just no need to fight the app. Might as well use the visual interface, albums, and keywords, and leave the plumbing to iPhoto.
iView has far more robust keywording and tagging, but it frankly was overkill for my 7,000 photo library. For those times when I want to archive off-line, I'll probably use iView since it excels at that, but everything online will stay on iPhoto.
I might make the jump to Aperture once it get's beyond beta (it sure seems like it's still beta) but then again, iPhoto's pretty darn good for my needs. Oh, and thanks Apple for fixing the performance issues. iPhoto 5 was unusable, but 6 is a screamer.lewisg12 wrote:

i got an iphone 5c last saturday. i noticed that after merely 5minutes of using facebook, my phone got warmer than the usual. i know that phones will get warm if being used but getting a warm phone after just 5minutes of surfing with 3G seems not normal. compared it with iphone 5 and 5s and they are not getting warm like that. is it a software or hadware issue?

And edit your mouse settings to do what you want it to do.

Third, from my understanding, it would appear you are concerned about the noise the hard drive makes when it falls asleep? Why not put your machine in screen saver mode instead? Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver turn off all Energy Saver settings, or set them to run Never.
Fourth, if your machine was purchased just a few days ago, you may still be able to get an exchange from the store, quicker than you can get a repair done. You may want to look into that possibility.
Fifth, it does appear you found the Logic forum. I would persist in asking there how to solve your technical issue with Logic regarding the audio. It may be you don't have to do anything special to the hard drive. Remember audio can be transmitted by wire, avoiding ambient sounds.

One day, being stupid, I used my Comcasst email account to be my backup email account in case I forgot my security questions. Well I did. I did not know that Comcast deleted your email when you disconnected with their service. When I ask for my security answers, it sends it to that email. How do I fix what I've done? Because now, I can't download apps that I have to pay for.

Had a mac for a few years now, and there I thought that restarting from the disc would be easy....
I get this weird error on my macbook:

So I am trying to reboot from the disc to repair permissions on my disc....
But I cant!!! insert the disc, restart from disc, holding c or changing the startup disc, and OSX keeps on starting up... can't get it to reboot from it..

Anyone?Hi, i thought that I replied this morning, but obviously I hadnt.
Put the disc in, restart the machine holding C until the apple logo comes up and the little circle goes around, release the c key, machine takes some little time, and the disc is spinning, so I am guessing that it is starting from the disc, blue screen and Mac OSX starting with the progress bar, then that goes off, and OSX installer kicks in, asking me for language to use, and then the install wizzard. and thats it....
If I try and go through the wizard, it falls apart telling me that it can't install OSX on this volume (so it must be started from the disc), then prompts me with a start up disc, I can clearly see both my internal drive and the cd in the list, I choose the disc, click restarts and it does the same over and over... keeps going back to the installer...

Email Being Sent - but message body is null
In my process flow I have a transformation (which is a function that obviously produces an output).
Following my transformation, I have an email activity.
I want to be able to grab the output from the function and pass it into the message body of my email activity.
To do this I created a variable VAR1. For the output node of my function I have bound it to the variable VAR1.
In my email activity, I have bound the MESSAGE_BODY to VAR1.
However when I run it, the message body in the email I receive is null!
Does anyone have any ideas why the message body is blank?
I did think that maybe the function wasn't being called but it must be otherwise it wouldn't be able to reach the email activity (I think!)?

Archive logs are being shipped, but are not applied
Hi everyone,
Some strange things are happening when I try to configure an Oracle Data Guard setup. Currently I am at the point where the configuration has been completed, and I just need to sync the standby database to the primary one. I can see in the log files that the archive logs are being shipped, but they are not applied on the standby system.
If I run "recover standby database;" manually in sqlplus I can see that it is trying to apply an archive log which is way too old (ORA-00279: change 9656498443 generated at 04/29/2008 08:45:08 needed for thread 1).
In the alert log I can also see this error: Warning: Recovery target destination is in a sibling branch of the controlfile checkpoint. Recovery will only recover changes to datafiles.
At this point I was thinking that the standby database might be on a different incarnation compared to the primary, but this is not the case, they are both in incarnation 6:

Yes...that may be an issue. Best bet is to re-run your standby creation.....as you are doing.
With version 11gR2 you also have the option of duplicate from active database which negates the need to copy your backupsets over to do the restore: I find it a much simpler process than the rman backup, copy files over, restore and then recover process.

I have just been trying to import photos from mine and my husbands cameras but nothing seems to be happening. I get the message to wait while they are being imported but after 10-15 minutes, nothing has been uploaded. I have always had updates downloaded when they become available and can't think what I may have done wrong.

Looking for an effect that I thought was in Audition, or maybe I am just crazy haha
For whatever reason I cannot find this effect (then again like I said, maybe I am just crazy because I might have seen it someplace else). Anyway, it is the effect that makes your audio come to a stop like it is playing on a turntable (losing power quickly). It sort of fades out while slowing down the audio.
I looked through the effects and didn't find it and I could of sworn I have seen it before. I tried recreating the effect from the FTT filters options but it just didn't sound quite right. After Effects freezes when working with footage which is just being rendered... this is a bug which was introduced with CS6 and I wonder if this is really so hard to fix. When you are working with footage from a 3d application which is just being rendered (in my case on a small farm via deadline) it has become impossible to work with After Effects. AE freezes for several minutes and only eventually returns to work. I suspect After Effects is reloading newly rendered frames in the background although I have disabled that in the preferences. With CS5 i can work on the frames already rendered without any problems. I filed a bug report about a year ago.

DanielIf you don't have Service Pack 1 for Windows, you should get it. No guarantees, but it may help. For the moment, I'd just wait until the 3D renders are complete before importing... there isn't much else you can do at the moment, anyway.
There's only one application I've seen that can reliably, "works-every-time", read media files as they're recorded: Avid Newscutter...but then, it was created to do precisely that. AE wasn't. -

Where were you storing your contacts? In the cloud? In outlook? Synch them back from wherever they were being stored.

Is there something wrong with my ps4 or am i just being paranoid?
I noticed that when i try to play some games textures take a while to load. It's especially noticeable in Battlefield 4, when a map loads and i spawn i have to wait like 30 seconds or more for the textures to load. I wouldn't care too much about it but it always took way less time. I think i also noticed it in Witcher 3, some textures just take a really long time to load especially in Novigrad. In Batman Arkham Knight i can notice it too on some street signs and ground textures when i'm flying around. Is there something wrong with my ps4 or am i just being really paranoid?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
