Maybe someone can help me on one of these issues
i just felt like sending a VERY long rant to apple through the itunes feed back. so if someone believes they could help me, please take a few minutes to read this. i have just copied and pasted it.
*SIDENOTE* I i have erased all itunes program files between unintstall and reinstall. i only kept music, pictures, videos, and apps when i did a super-erase-and-install of the latest itunes.
i have the newest iTunes software. my music used to be in iTunes media>music folder, now all of a sudden, the "music folder is gone, and all the artist folders are mixed with "automatically add to iTunes, downloads, tones, podcasts, and TV shows" folders. and the "mobile applications" folder is in the "iTunes folder" which lies outside of the "iTunes media folder.
(This has all come up since ios 5 BTW) ITUNES MATCH SHOULD NOT BE YOUR ONLY CONCERN
ALSO i own 1854 songs, and when i try to manually manage music and videos for my iPhone 4 with ALL THE LATEST SOFTWARE, iTunes will not let me manage my music because it believes i have 26.9 GB and 3210 songs on my phone, and i only have 1854 songs as i mentioned before.
ALSO smart playlists do not work on my phone that are made in iTunes, no matter what i set for a smart play list, all the songs within the playlist are shuffled no matter what i do.
ALSO, mail does not push from my two YAHOO email addresses. It only pushes my @me.com address.
ALSO i can no longer download media passes from the iTunes store on my iPhone, my only way of fixing this is to buy the pass on my computer, and i have to wait till the **** episodes are available in "purchased TV" episodes in the iCloud instead of them being available to download on my phone when they are available.
ALSO, iCloud is supposed to backup my iPhone at night when it's charging, locked, and not in use right?? then why the **** does it never do that and it always says it's last backup was when i manually backed it up the previous Sunday night.
all i have left to say is, whoever the **** "Tim Cook" is, needs to whip you people into shape and get your **** together before you lose this company again. Steve jobs isn't going to save you this time.. and i will mention I'm only 20 years old so i don't have any clue what your company's history was like before the iPod touch. i started buying apple products when the iTouch 2nd gen came out.
if you guys keep up with this ****** software management, I'll find myself using whatever the newest DROID is 18 months from now after my 2 year contract with AT&T.

You could see if this page helps. I've also seen it mentioned that clearing Safari's cache (Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data or Clear Cache, and Clear History).
Also closing the App Store app and doing a reset might help. To close the App Store app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
Maybe someone can help me, it would be greatly appriciated. The first Apple ID I created was fine,until I entered a credit card with a low balance. Now I can't upgrade apps, or even d/l free apps.

Having a major problem in windows...maybe someone can help?
I normally wouldn't ask a windows question here, but I don't know where to turn for this one.
My Macbook is less than a month old, base model. I'm running Windows XP home. I keep getting a windows stop error, and can't for the life of me figure out why. I'm getting stop error 000000ea, which is "THREADSTUCK_IN_DEVICEDRIVER". I've tried all the standard stuff, reinstalling programs, operating systems, drivers...you name it. I've tried the latest drivers...older drivers...you name it. This is my second Macbook, and while my first one had some major issues, it wasn't doing this, and I'm not doing anything different. It hasn't acted funny in Leopard, but the fact that it's frequently doing it in Windows...which I kind of need to run...is quite worrysome. I'm told it's either a hardware problem, or a driver problem. Specifically this happens when I'm playing games, but I'm not running anything that would really push the system's limits. It's done it while not running games, though, so I'm not ready to blame that. I upgraded the RAM to 2gb of Corsair RAM, and have since ran a good number of RAM tests to make sure there isn't a problem with one of the sticks. That's grasping at straws, though, just assuming that since video ram is shared that maybe it could be connected. This is a brand new machine, and I'm barely past my 2 week exhange period...I really hope this isn't a hardware problem.Hi,
That Windows stop code indicates that video hardware is being initialized, but never achieves a state of readiness, thus the thread executing the driver code never returns to the calling process.
I looked on www.techbible.com, and they suggest a problem with the hardware is a probable cause. Of course, it could be due to an incorrect driver too. See if you can start Windows in safe mode or VGA mode. The older MacBooks have GMA-950 video, while newer MacBooks have X3100 video. Be sure you're installing the right driver. Be sure the MacBook EFI and SMC code is up to date too.
I'm running Vista on a GMA-950 MacBook, and Vista pretty much detected all the Mac hardware, except for the iSight camera. Since XP is older, it definitely needs the Boot Camp driver disc for many hardware drivers.

my trash bin has one item that refuses to be deleted. Under name, it says, 0. date; dec. 31, 1903. size; 0 kb. I have no idea where it came from. When I click, info. the info. window starts to appear, then goes away. Weird or what? Hope someone can help?

I am working with numbers and I have a large number of products in one column and the relevent prices in another. All the prices are different and I want to increase the price of everything by 5% or 10% etc. Is this possible?

Stiffy123Ad a new, temporary column (or one you can hide when not using). Let's say the current Prices are in column C and the new column is D.
you can inflate the prices in column C by 5% by entering the formula in the first cell of column D as:
=C2*105%

to fill down, select D2, then copy, then select the D3 thru the end of the column, then paste. Now select C2 thru the end of column C, now paste over the existing values using the menu item "Edit > Paste Values"
you can now hide column D until you need to use it again. -
Hi, I hope someone can help.... When I open a new user account, which I want to set parental control on, the screen keeps freezing once the account is open. The wee rainbow circle appears and I can't do anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Report any errors it found for Disk Repair, don't need the ones for Permissions Repair.
Try it again & see if anything changed, but have Activity Monitor open & Show All Processes & sorted on CPU%, also have Console open if we can... maybe not when switching, but we'll see.
Does this happen if you just try to create a new admin user??? -
Hopefully someone can help.... I have an Iphone 5 and want to create a music video playlist on my phone so then i can play through my apple tv... but when i make a playlist in itunes and try to add it over to my iphone it wont let me sync the playlist...? I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

Hope someone can help - Lightroom not working...at all...nothing....
I have tried installing about 20 or so times now and still cant get any thing at all when i launch the application - its likek it freezes. Something somewhere is missing or corrupt in my mac or the dowmload i downloaded and here's really hoping someone can help.
I have been using the beta since beta 1. This morning i downloaded the V1.0 and went through the usual steps on a mac. Launched the programme and got the option screen of entering a code or trying for free for 30 days.
Chose the free trial as my serial code had not yet been sent.
The application seemed to start and then said it was going to upgrade/update (or similar) my old library and this may take a few minutes. Fine - I've got all day - no worries.
5 hours later and not a whole lot appears to have happened other than Lightroom being frozen and I cant do much. Force quit ensues and an attempt to relaunch the application.
It launches and I getthe start up Window that lists all teh people who made it...but my cursor just goes into spinning ball mode an dnothing happens. This has now gone on about 20 or so times. I have tried removing the Lightroom with Appzapper and then re-installing the original beta followed by the new download....still nothing but a frozen lightroom
Anyone got any ideas - it must be something to do with my mac as everyone else seems to be using lightroom ok... and i'm desperate...seeing as i've been using it since beta 1
hope someone can help??Another thing to check is the permission settings on the Lightroom application and on the folder where your library lives (or will live, if you're making a new one.)
The Lightroom application needs to have an owner who has read/write permission on the library folder's location. Normally this owner will either be your own user ID or the "system" ID -- check by doing a command-i and seeing what shows up under the 'Details' section of the 'Ownership and Permissions' section.
I was having exactly the same problem you described until I checked and discovered that for some reason, Adobe's Installer had installed Lightroom with a strange owner ID that only had read permission on my library folder's location. Since Lightroom needs to be able to both read and write to the library when it starts up, it was launching and then just sitting there doing nothing.
I changed Lightroom's owner to 'system,' then made sure that the 'admin' group (of which 'system' is a member) had read/write permission on my library folder's location. After that, Lightroom launched fine. -
I have 2 computers (1 Pc and 1 MAC) and 1 Iphone.The I phone is synchronised with the PC. I want to synchronised it also with my MAC, without erasing all my music and files. Someone can help me to find the answer ?
i have already try the copy/paste thing with the ID of the file "iTunes Music Library.xml" it didn't change a thing. each time I relaunched Itunes, the ID is the first I have in the MAC.
I have more than 5 000 files of music. I don't want to recreate one by one all my playlits.

ConstanceYou can sync iphone with one and only one computer at a time. If you sync to another, it will erase the current content and replace with content form the new computer. There is no way around this.
Put everything on one computer and sync from there.
BTW, you posted in the Home Share forum. Your question seems to have nothing to do with home share. -

I have recently run across a very similar issue and wondering if you ever got to the bottom of yours.
I have been using an iMac for 2 years with a Synology drive and no issues. A few days ago I bought a new Macbook Air and when I connect to the Synology server some files are greyed out and will give the message above.
What is strange is there does not seem to be a pattern. I have two excel files in the same directory one is fine and the other is greyed out. The greyed out file is only a later copy of the OK file.
Everything is still working fine on the iMac it is only the Air that has the issue. Both machines are on the latest patches of Lion. -

And offcourse that I delete my files and documents is not an Iweb problem, but because my English is not that good, that I thougt I try to tell the whole story, and hope people can read trough the lines.
Why I didn't use Iweb to upload to the server is because the server company recommanded to use file zilla. And I am a nobody with this kind of things, so I did exactly what they tell me to do.
No, i did not make a backup of Iweb and the domain file, but reading other messages on this forum showed me that I can maybe try to make empty the cashfile (?)
and otherwise I have bad luck and have to make my website again. Offcourse I have a lot of examples from all the pages (copied from the local map to my USB stick) and my website is aprox. 15 Mb, (not so big) so it will cost me a few nigths.
But I'm still hoping on a miracle :-)

1. I tried to pre-order Dying Light for the Xbox One and during checkout the system cancelled my order saying that the store stock had been spoken for. However, I went in once the game released to the same store and was able to purchase the game no problem so in effect I just missed out on my $10 pre-order certificate.I wanted to pre-order but it wouldn't let me - I have never seen this error before.
