Hi. Since you're a student, I would obviously recommend the MacBook Air because it is MUCH more thin and light than the MacBook. If your primary use for the computer was anything other than taking it around and doing schoolwork, that's the MacBook for you
Go to your nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Reseller and see if the 11" screen size is big enough for you, and if you miss having a DVD drive. Those are really the only major differences between the MB and MBA. Good luck with your decision, and remember that with any purchase you have to assess what you're going to do with the product before you make that decision.

José, if you buy and download Logic Pro in App Store now, the best option would be to buy an upgrade to Logic Studio. I don't think Jam Packs are available any more in Apple Store, besides it will be more expensive buying them one by one than upgrading to Studio.

What's the better deal? - same price, different specs
I've got a tough choice between two good Macbook pros at the same price. Which do you think will perform better? Which is the best overall deal? Why?
The most computer intensive things I do will be basic movie editing, 3d modeling with CAD, maybe gaming. So I guess graphics are pretty important.

with the 1600MHz system bus and faster 1600MHz RAM, this will be a better deal for you.
in any event, either macbook pro will be fine with what you'll be using it for....
although the 2.4GHz might seem faster because of the speed of the processor, do keep in mind that the 2.3GHz is running on the new ivy bridge processor/chipset..
you will be however, happy with either one....
or you can buy one and if you're not happy with it, you have a 14 day return/exchange policy and replace with the other one...

Most of the advertisements running now are for Edge. You get discounts for having a smart phone on Edge based on the data package you have. What sucks is that most of the time they advertise a certain price for the monthly service and that is true but what they don't say is you add the Edge payments to that and most of the time it is around the same price as without Edge.
If you think about this though, say you get a phone that is $24.99/month with Edge and you share 10GB which gives you a $25 discount, the phone is basically free and nothing is due at checkout. If you get a 2 year contract with that phone you pay the 2 year price of the phone and pay the same amount monthly. -
MB 2.4 or "old" MBP 2.5 ... same price?
I need to purchase a new Mac laptop for my 14-year old daughter. She would love the MB but the former top of the line MBP is basically at the same price at Amazon.
What is the sensible thing to do? Old screen better, more expansion, speed similar (right?), same hard drive and memory but MBP runs hotter. Anything else I should consider?

I would first and foremost consider how you daughter will be using this computer. My recommendation would actually be the base model aluminium Macbook, at 1259$ (2Ghz/2GB/160GB)
You can go a long way with these macbooks. Of course, if money is no issue, then spring for the 2.4ghz.
The Macbook Pro is a professional's tool. Will your daughter be taking advantage of the firewire ports, express card and the better screen. These are definitely negligible things if the computer is meant for everyday use and school work.
Also, the smaller macbook is quite smaller and easy to transport and sports newer DDR3 Ram and the NVidea graphics card. The battery life is also longer on the macbook.
Again, consider how your daughter will be using it and what her needs are. Either one, from a computing standpoint, is not strictly better than the other. However, I think the Macbook is , practically speaking, a better option.

I am configure intercompany process but the client wants the same price in Goods Issue, Goods Receipt and Invocies.
For example: Total value in Purchase Order is 100; But the Goods Issue is 80; The goods receipt must be 80 and not 100; and invocies with price 80 also.
It's possible this?

This is not intercompany process. At best it can be third party order process.
Even in third party, there can be a process with GR or without GR.
If you go with third party with GR, you can enable the GR based IR (Invoice receipt created with reference to GR adn not PO) and not PO based IR. This is very much possible. However a MM consultant will be able to configure this. So you can close the thread here and open the thread in MM forum. -
Upgrade question....from 1 to 3 same price as from 2 to 3?
I have Lightroom 1....still (hey, I've been a student the last two years!) I was looking into upgrading to 2 and discovered the 3 beta is out already. Generally with Adobe products can you upgrade from a version two previous....say from LR 1 to 3...or Photoshop CS2 to CS4 for the same price as going from LR2 to 3 over CS3 to 4? Would like to move my software forwards, but wondering if I should wait a few months....I appreciate any words of advice.

Nobody knows. At least, nobody who does know is allowed to say.
I seem to recall that PS upgrades were the same price even when you skip a version, and it wouldn't surprise me if LR worked the same way. We'll probably know within a couple of months, but my personal guess is that you won't lose any money by waiting for Version 3 to be released.

Is the back of the 2011 MBA 13" the same as the 2012?
Is the back(bottom) of the 2011 MBA 13" the same as the 2012? i mean, is it possible to use one in the place of the other?
The thing is i'm not from US and i don't have a very good support, so asked a friend who is in US to buy a new back for my MBA, which is the 2011 model, but the one he bought is for the 2012, they look pretty much the same, but i don't know, just want to be sure...I know a lot of people with iphone 5 and have never heard them complain about top button always brake and screen that decides to pop off or the back of their case is bending.

How can I define same Price Conditions for two different Sales Deals ??
I need to define for the same price condition, lets say ZPMP, two different values or condition records, for two different sales deals and the same valid dates
For example, Sales deal 1, ZPMP equal to USD 15 and valid dates from 04/15/08 to 04/30/08.
Another condition record for Sales deal 2, ZPMP equal to USD 20 and valid dates from 04/15/08 to 04/30/08

Thanks in advance.While creating condition tables, you have the option to create different key combinations. So if you want the system to take different condition records for different sales deals, there has to be a point of differentiation between those 2 sales deals.
This can be done in one of the following ways:
by giving customer specific prices
by giving material specific prices for a particular customer etc
All this can be defined as different key combinations while creating the condition tables. For each key combination, you can specify different condition records, so that the system is able to pull prices according to the requirement.
But if the sales deals are entirely similar (that is even the validity dates, delivery dates etc are also same), and there is no differentiating factor, then you will have to manually input the prices.
Do get back if you require more clarification. Please reward points if useful.

Contact sales support by web chat. They can cancel your current subscription and transfer you to the new one if you are within certain criteria. Otherwise you may need to wait until your subscription runs out and then sign up later.

Got Logic Express instead of Pro for the same price
I've bought Logic Express 9 at retail store a few days ago for 180 EUR, but then I found out the Pro version has the same price?! How is that possible?
Feeling a bit jackassed, I could actually buy this piece of software for the same price at the Apple Store if I knew...
EDIT: Oh, by the way I checked some other threads, and some guys tell that such thing as Logic Express doesn't exist anymore, well the price is anyway same (199,99 USD). I've bought this product on 21.08.2012 at an official Apple Store in Düsseldorf, Germany.

i love that the powermac is expandable and runs cs2 really quickly but i bet that the intel imac is really faster in every way when adobe becomes native on the new imacs. i mean doesn't the imac have a much faster gpu and cpu and ram and larger hdd than the powermac that i listed. i just hate that the intel imac doesn't support any of the apps that i need. it is like apple planned it this way so that the consumer model wouldn't step on the toes of the power mac line before they offer faster intel chips too. it makes the imac useless for why i need it. but it is a better deal than the ppowermac from 2003. it is a really hard choice. -
upgraded my macbook pro to mountain lion from snow leopard does this mean i can upgrade my imac as well for the same price? And will it mess it up?
You can upgrade the iMac for no extra charge - sign into the App Store there, download and install 10.8.
I recommend that you make a backup (Time Machine is probably the easiest method) before you install, and make sure that you are not using any applications that are incomptible with 10.8 (eg Office 2004) - other than that, it should go smoothly.
