Hi,
Suppose we develope a report using MB5B & same report using MB51. Will output of these reports differs? or will be same?

MB5B and MB51 is different report in material document list.
MB5B - Stock on posting date
This material document report is used to display the output for material document example,
Plant            TEST test plant
Material         TH1
Description      TEST MATERIAL
Stock on 01/01/0000                    0.000 PC
Total Receipts                      29.500 PC
Total Issues                         3.000- PC
Stock on 12/31/9999                   26.500 PC
SLoc MvT S Mat. Doc. Item Pstng Date          Quantity BUn
TEST 101   5000003029    1 12/23/2009            1.000 PC
This report similary you can use it as MMBE stock report but only difference is here also display the material document number , total stocks and issue.

Difference in mb51 & mb5b reports

dear all,
please when i run mb51 & mb5b reports up to the current date, i get differences in stocks, mb51 value is higher than mb5b . what are the possible reasons for this? is there a way of configuring mb5b to pick all movement types for all batch numbers?if yes how do i go about it? When comparison is done for a particular batch, i notice mb5b does not pick up some movement types such as 601(sales delivery) & 655(sales retuns) but these movement types appear in mb51, pls what do I do?

MB51 : add field not included in MKPF or MSEG table

Dear.
I need to show a new field in MB51.
This field isnu2019t included in MKPF or MSEG table.
I cannot add it in Customizing , do you know an exit for doing this ?

Hi There,
The reports MB51/MB5B read the data from the tables MKPF/MSEG, so if you wish to add a new field in MB51 you need to add the field into one of these tables. Unfortunately there is no such exit.
For Inventory Management, SAP provides the following customer exits:
MB_CF001 Updating of material document data upon posting
MBCF0002 Filling the item text in the material document
MBCFC003 Maintaining batch master data upon goods movements
MBCFC004 Maintaining batch specifications upon goods movements
MBCF0005 Filling the item data on goods receipt/ issue slips
MBCF0006 Transferring the number of the WBS element for subcontracting
MBCF0007 Posting a reservation
MBCF0009 Filling the Storage location field
IQSM0007 Serial numbers, user exit for goods movements
XMBF0001 Stock determination: - changing the stock determination rule -
Adjusting the stock determination item table

103 to 105 report

do we have any transaction code to check the open 105 for the 103.
(i dont want we103 or we105 selection para meter in me2l/m/n..etc
i wan the same in reprt.

do we have any standard report for the same, if not please let me know from where and which field i can take from MSEG/MKPF table... i am not getting the same in single transaction...

if u r talking abut movement type 103 and 105 then u can try mb51,mb5b.

I am getting Current Stock through MARD table but when i am going to Previous date i am getting Current Stock only.
How can we calculate Previous day Stock.

Why you not using SAP standard report.i guess there is hell lot of reports on stock already in System.
use them for less error risk.
MB51,MB5B,MMBEthere all ares tock report which build by system only.

Date wise stock table

Hiii,
I want to see the stock available at a date when PR was made ie say on 01.07.2008 PR was releasd then stock at that date.
Please advise how to fetch the same.(which table to refer)

As far as i know stock gets updated on the material document/posting date and not on PR or PO.for this u can use mb51,mb5b

Stock report in different of measurements.

Hi dudes,
i want to get stock of materials in 2 other UOMs along with base unit of measurement ( Base UOM which normally comes).
suppose base UOM is PC and sales unit is M2 ( sq.mtr)
and i need report in which stock should be appeared in PC, M2 and M3 also.
in report like MB51,MB5B etc, what is to done
whether we need to maintain conversion formula for M3 and PC.
i would appreciate quick response.

Hi,
Base unit is the only stock keeping unit. The stock is always calculated on the basis of base UOM. Other units are Issue unit or order unit. Those are not stock keeping unit.
But in MMBE if the conversion ratio is maintained then stock can be viewed in those units also. But not at a time.

how to do material reconciliation should be done vendor wise or project wise?? any help....MIRCMR is not working

You could use MB51/MB5B report in ALV grid and have look ups the way you wish with either Vendor or WBS/Network. However, it will not give you correct picture as Vendor is only associated with receipts (and subcontracting issues) and hence you will find lot many issues without vendor - all clubbed together.
For projects, it will only show you transactions groups per project where your inventory is assigned to project, but for rest it will again be grouped together.
Your requirement to see stock as per project is relevant if all your inventory is sub-divided into project stock only.

Report on Material group hierarchy

Dear All,
As we are runnning the report for material group hierarchy, Material
hierarchy is not appering in any of the standard reports like MB51,MB5B
etc.We need to take the report based on material group hierarchy,
Is there any standard report to fetch the Material group Hierarchy,.
How and what configuration needs to be done for mateiral group hierarchy. Any steps.please let me know.

Can i get a consolidated report for material consumption for all plants?

can i get a report where i can have the material quantity and value, across for all the plants and the quanity and value of the material consumed and balance for a particular period
Example; I have a raw material -COPPER ROD , Period is from 1 April2010 to 1 July 2010, I want to know what was the Quanity and Value of copper rod acorss 4 Plants, how much has been consumed (Quanity and Value) and how muchis left(Quanity & Value) as on 1 july2010

Customer consignment reconciliation report

Hi,
We are develping Customer consignment reconciliation report based on customer number, material, posting date, plant as other standard reports MB51, MB5B, MB58 is not having all the criteria at one place. This report will also check past stock for customer. How to i check for Material which are actual in customer stock. I have special stock indiactor W but when i run MB51, i get all the documents with various movement types, how can i check material which are actually in customer stock on given date.

MM inventory report

We need an inventory summary report for each month end whereby i should contain data like material, plant,storage location, batch,quantity,commodity code, standard cost, info record cost.If we prepare a query kindly inform the tables where we can join to have the output.

Average Weekly Consumption of material for the last "N' weeks

I am looking for a report which will give me the average weekly consumption of a material considering the last 'N' weeks.
I have been using MC.9 for average monthly consumption for the months specified but this is not servic

You can fetch Consumption related data from table MSEG by passing the appropriate Movement types ( Normally its 201/ 261 for consumption) . You can get the dates for those documents from MKPF .
you can also customise a Layout in MB51 / MB5B for the above data.

SAP Query with Code page option in background

Hi All,
I have a requirement.When the Japanese users run a query in foreground, they can specify the code page which they need to view the output. When I tried to schedule the query in background as they requested, we discovered that we couldnu2019t specify the code page so I thought we would need some kind of ABAP program that could submit the query and be able to specify the code page.
Can you please help me how to proceed with this.

You can think about MB51 / MB5B report where you can define the selection variant and make settings as per your requirement. These both reports will serve your requirement if you are looking for material mvt documents or stock.

I am not from MM, and hence i need some basic inputs...
The requirement is to records all the materials movement in an out of a warehouse. Is the a way that could be done. I don't wont to reocrd movemnet whichh would happen within the warehouse, like picking...

Check report MB51, Mb5B which will meet your requirement. I usually call it Material IN/OUT report. It captures
all the movements of materials taking place.
