MBAM 2.5 InvalidKeyID Fault

Hello,
I have implemented MBAM 2.5 on my customers site and currently in testing phase. I am getting an error when trying to recover a Recovery Key from the Recovery Key ID.
I have a 3 server topology with SCCM integrated features, a database server and a Administration and Monitoring Server.
2 client are encrypted and I can see the data in the RecoveryAndHardwareCore.Keys table in the MBAM recovery and Hardware Database
When using the MBAM Self Service website I attempt to put in my recovery ID and state reason for Recovery Key (lost Pin etc)
The recovery time takes about 1 minute before returning the message "Invalid Key ID"
I have tested the recovery key this by writing the Recovery Key direct from the sql table in to the recovery screen which worked successfully and allowed me to boot.
so my issue is getting the recovery key from the self service screen.
I have done a bit of research and found the following data in the log: C:\Inetpub\Microsoft BitLocker Management Solution\Logs\Self Service website\Trace2014-07-29_10-59-54.svclog and I receive the following error
Please can anyone help with why I am getting the recovery key and why I am getting "Failed to recover key, InvalidKeyId"
Thanks

Hey Lancecr - I'm having the same issue (installed without a certificate until we get that resolved).
No custom host name for the web server. Delegation has been set up on the app pool credentials.
Also, I checked the security logs on the SQL server, and I can see the service account for the app pool logging in successfully at the same time the error is generated. A few steps before the error occurs, I also see this error:
   at System.Web.HttpApplication.PipelineStepManager.ResumeSteps(Exception error)
I also see several IIS-Configuration warnings for
Unable to find schema for config section system.serviceModel/bindings (or /client, /behaviors, etc) This section will be ignored.
There is also an error in the ISS-Configuration log (Event ID 10, user is the app pool account) - An error has occurred: Unrecognized element 'providerOption'
This is all I've been able to come up with so far, but I figured I would send it off and see if you had any thoughts or other places I could look.
Thanks!

  • 0x803d0013 Error occured sending encryption status (A fault was received from the remote endpoint)

Alright, I am stumped. I have looked at nearly every article on this error here at Technet and other sites:
An error occurred while sending encryption status data.
    Error code:
    0x803d0013
    Details:
A message containing a fault was received from the remote endpoint.
First, I am testing this. I have copied the MDOP ADMX/ADML files directly to the client I am testing this on, and I am applying the policy via the Group Policy Management on the local machine. I am not deploying this via the domain. I wouldn't think that
would make a difference, but please let me know if I am wrong.
    I have performed the following:
    1. (DisableMachineVerification)
    in MBAM registry as
    is in this article  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2612822
    2.  On the MDOP group policy I have enabled:
          I. Client Management
              A. Configure MBAM Services
              B. Configure user exemption policy
         II. Fixed Drive
              A. Fixed data drive encryption settings
              B. Choose how BitLocker-protected fixed drives can be recovered
         III. Operating System Drive
              A. Operating system drive encryption settings
              B. Choose how BitLocker-protected operating system drives can be recovered
         IV. Removable Drive
              A. Control use of BitLocker on removable drives
    3.
On the MBAM Administration Server AD object, enable the “Trust for delegation for any service (Kerberos Only) option”, under the Delegation tab. Also,
the user has been granted delegation privileges for all of the services on the server.
    4. SPN Records have been created for the server
    5. HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\FVE\MDOPBitLockerManagement
    Change the ClientWakeUpFrequency = 1 and StatusReportingFrequency=1
Create a dword value “NoStartupDelay” under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MBAM and set its value to 1.
Also, I did not encrypt my drive with MBAM. It was encrypted before hand. Is there anything I can check or do? The event logs on the MBAM server under MBAM-Web don't show anything under Admin or Operational.
I think my KeyRecoveryServiceEndPoint and StatusReportingServiceEndpoint URLs are correct:
    https://mbam01.domainname.com:443/MBAMRecoveryAndHardwareService/CoreService.svc
    https://mbam01.domainname.com:443/MBAMComplianceStatusService/StatusReportingService.svc
I even think there was a registry key to make the hardware compatible, but I don't remember which key it was, as I uninstalled and reinstalled, and don't remember where I found that on the forums.
    Any suggestions?

If you have made changes to the web.config files to accommodate the SSL settings, you will not be able to browse the URLs with the http protocols. The URLs will then only work with the https protocols.
Could you please confirm the login created for the particular local groups with the following permission:-
For MBAM Compliance Auditing DB Access:-
User Mapping – MBAM Compliance Status
    DB Role Membership – ComplianceWriteRole
    Server Roles – Public
    For MBAM
    Recovery and Hardware DB access:-
User Mapping – MBAM Recovery and Hardware
DB Role Membership – RecoveryandHardwareReadRole, RecoveryandHardwareWriteRole
    Server Roles – Public
Make sure the MBAM Computer account (MBAM Web Server) is a member of these two groups.

  • BitLockered clients are not contacting MBAM others are

Hello, I have hundreds of clients that have bitlockered successfully and registered with MBAM but also have hundreds of machines that have encrypted and not checked in with MBAM.
Those that work under the eventlog MBAM -> operation show ids, 1 'applied policy' 19 'registered with MBAM' and 3 'encryption data send'. Those that don’t work only show id 1 'applied policy'.
It’s like the client will not attempt to talk to MBAM. all machines receive the same policy.
Why won’t they check in and how can I force it ??
Before anyone gives the generic answers. Yes i have changed the KeyRecoveryServiceEndPoint and StatusReportingServiceEndpoint to 1 and restarted the service.
By the way im using MBAM 2.0 - standalone not SCCM integrated with a 2 server setup on a single domain.

    sure...
    error 4 is:
An error occurred while sending encryption status data.
    Error code:
    0x803d0010
    Details:
The remote endpoint was not reachable.
    Error 2 is:
An error occured while applying MBAM policies.

Im starting to suspect local firewall. The machines are connected to the network at the time these errors are logged. I have checked i can ping the server from the client machines.

  • Macbook Pro issues - can anyone tell if 'normal' or faults

I have some issues with my new 15" 2.66 unibody (non-removable batery) MBP. I'm told by the retailer that they are all normal/common - i'd like see if this is actually the case or they fobbing me off.
1.) Something 'lose' inside the case around hard drive area - ie if i move the mac around (vertically is worst - ie imagine holding it with two hands with hinge sitting downwards, closed) i can hear something fairly hefty clunking back and forth against the inside of the shell (hard drive moving about?)
2.) When i opn the lid for the first time after a period of the mac being closed, i get a reasonable creak/crack from the left side of the screen hinge.
3.) When i run the battery down and it goes to sleep 'to preserve the contents of memory' it doesn't take long at all before battery so low it goes into deep sleep (ie state where all RAM contents are written to disk - and then takes a min or so to come to life again when you open the lid - my old macbook pro could last a good few hours in sleep mode before dying completely and deep sleeping
I'd really like to know if anyone has noticed similar issues with their machines - or if indeed these are isolated issues to a few, aka faults.
    Thanks in advance

The sudden motion sensor may make the appearance of something bouncing in there as it may activate while the drive is being moved around suddenly. However, if this does not appear to be the case, I'd ask an authorized service center.
2.) When i opn the lid for the first time after a period of the mac being closed, i get a reasonable creak/crack from the left side of the screen hinge.
Is the opening range different from other ones in the store?

The battery may need calibration at first:
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/
If it is calibrated, and you aren't getting the life expected by that link for rudimentary usage, have the power manager looked at.

  • BT can actually fix broadband faults! (no I'm not ...

Just had to post this for anyone to read who have encountered problems with BT Broadband. Its been put onto an old thread but incase your new or never saw it here it is.
Anyone else seen the flying pigs all covered in snow?
It's finally happened, after 14 months, hours upon hours spent on the phone to Broadband No Support India Division, emails back and for with moderators and BT, 4 engineer visits and 3 emails to the chairmans office my broadbands been fixed. Yes thats right its not a mistype my broadband has actually been fixed.
I did try the noise line test as recomended by another forum member but I had no noise on the line.
After my last attempt to email the chairmans office (that and the short but blunt voicemail message I left too) I had a call from a new person who works in the chairmans office. This lady couldn't have been more helpful. She'd actually looked into my account and problems dating back to the day I joined BT Broadband back in January 2009 and was shocked to see some of the crazy and down right ridiculous things I'd been told and had to put up with. I was even more shocked when she knew exactly what an external NTE was. She listed to what I had to say and the long long list of what I'd tried over the 14 months and how even with 2 replacement hubs sent out nothing changed. She decided that from what I'd described it was a faulty hub issue. I have to admit when I was told this I was a bit apprehensive and wasn't expecting anything new to actually happen. Wrong!
Instead of just winging me out a new bog standard Type A Hub 2.0 she sent me out a new Hub 2.0 Type B. She explained how it was made by a different manufacturer and how it had a different chipset in it and that there had been customers who had found it solved there problems. I was dubious but I agreed to having one to try. 2 days later it arrived. Looks exactly the same as the 3 other hub 2.0 I have had in the past. I set it all up, switched it on and hey presto it burst into life. When it did burst into life there was no annoying loud clicking noise like with the Type A hubs. I logged into the Hub Manager and it appears to be more user friendly and pretty quick. For some unknown reason all previous Hubs upon connection would start with an Actual Data Transfer Speed of 100 odd mbps then almost immediately this would decrease down to 54 mpbs. Right away its showing as being 130mbps.
Tried logging back into Hub Manager later on and I was astonished to see that the Actual Data Transfer Speed was still showing as being 130mbps. Then I looked at the connection speed of all joined PCs, Laptop and Netbook to find they were all at 100mbps. This is something which had never been achieved before. Now I started thinking is this actually going to work? Yes, it did. Using the internet now is quicker than its ever been. My download speed has increased from approx 6mb up to a now steady 7mb and the upload speed is slightly quicker too. The lovely lady from the chairmans office rang back a few times to see how things were going and apologised everytime for the way my broadband problems and the support lines have been of no help/use. I told her under no way was I ever ringing India again and she said hopefully next year it'll all be back in the UK. (Fingers crossed folks)
Its now been 13days, 2 hours, 17 minutes & 51 seconds since switching to the Hub 2.0 Type B and I've had no flashing orange lights, no disconnections and none of those annoying 'Theres a problem with your broadband messages' appearing on my monitor. This is unheard of. If I'm lucky may go for a week without frequent disconnects (it did happen in summer 2009) but certainly no longer than that.
Its both great and disgusting at the same time. Yes its great that I now have the broadband service I've been paying for but disgusting that its taken 14 months to get it. That and the fact that despite all the bull excuses and comments on how its the phone line inside and its the electrical interference and that its a fault with all my PCs, laptops and netbooks etc that it is in fact down to that bloomin Hub!
Compensation is being looked into and should be forthcoming. I do not want to curse it but if these great speeds/transfer rates remain and I continue to be able to use my Broadband without that blasted constant clicking noise, flashing orange broadband light and frequent disconnections (deep breath) I may stay with BT.
Thanks to everyone whos suggested or commented on things to try.
No disrespect to the Mods on here but I did contact yourselves numerous times on the old BT Forums and got nowhere. The usual thing was to be told a line test had been done, no faults found now ring BT Broadband helpline. In my case no it wasn't a line fault it was rubbish BT Hubs 2.0 type A fault!
All I can recommend for anyone whos sick to the back teeth ringing India and getting nowhere with there broadband problems try using Google and searching for BT Chairmans email address and fire an email to them with details of your problems/experiences.
     Good Luck

nice 1,   i got my bb fixed today 2, after weeks of phone calls to india and 7 engieer visits and a letter to the chairman my bb its back up to 3.5 mbps,  the only strange thing is my bb light gos orange every 2 hours im hoping this is just like the 10 days restart and not still a falut im just glad my dsl connetion rate is back up was at 1000 but now 4689 pls look at my home hub stats tell we what u see pls x oh im using the home hub 2.0 type A

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

  • Unable to capture fault for Invoke actrivity invoking OA Adapter

    Hi,
I have invoke activity that invokes oracle applications adapter and i have catch all and catch for process. But when invoke adapter returns exception my catch and catch all doesn't capture the faults. But when i use some other adapter like database adapter then catch captures fault and work normally.
Is it a bug or there are some other way we need to capture the faults in case of oracle applications adapater.
    Any suggestion?

One more update i tried printing l_http_response.status_code and got 302.
    Thanks,

  • How to handle RunTime Faults which doesn't list under System Faults?

    Hi,
I have a doubt regarding runtime faults in BPEL 1.1.In BPEL 1.1 some of the run time faults are categorised as system faults. So we can handle those run time faults
using the faultname or namespace(http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension) of system fault itself. But 'SublanguageExecutionFault' is a run time fault which doesn't list under system faults.
So what namespace it belongs to?Can we use the same namespace of system fault for this kind of runtime faults ?
Are any other runtime faults existing which don't have the same namespace of sytem faults? So how can we identify and handle those run time faults?

You can create a role menu as remote enabled remote menu.
The authority checks will happen on the remote side, also against objects which don't exist in the calling system as the music is on the other side.
On the RFC client system side, you only need the parameter transaction to start the remote transaction in the remote system.
See the documentation on SYST function module ABAP4_CALL_TRANSACTION.
This is however a rather antiquated technology... it is more popular to use a SAP Portal or webdynpro applications for this sort of thing (the user does not notice the difference) or later versions of such integration such as Fiori UIs or imbedded links within the Business Client.
I don't want to lean out the window too far, but the buggy phase of these new things is approaching an end and they are usable if you are on newer releases. Then you can pool the menu and use APIs for navigation and no more irritating S_TCODE checks.
    Cheers,
    Julius

    06824 14:51:25 (0) **    - a missing WMI class definition or object.
06825 14:51:25 (0) **      (See any GET, ENUMERATION, EXECQUERY and GET VALUE operation failures).
06826 14:51:25 (0) **      You can correct the missing class definitions by:
    06827 14:51:25 (0) **      - Manually recompiling the MOF file(s) with the 'MOFCOMP <FileName.MOF>' command.
06828 14:51:25 (0) **      Note: You can build a list of classes in relation with their WMI provider and MOF file with WMIDiag.
06829 14:51:25 (0) **            (This list can be built on a similar and working WMI Windows installation)
06830 14:51:25 (0) **            The following command line must be used:
    06831 14:51:25 (0) **            i.e. 'WMIDiag CorrelateClassAndProvider'
06832 14:51:25 (0) **      Note: When a WMI performance class is missing, you can manually resynchronize performance counters
06833 14:51:25 (0) **            with WMI by starting the ADAP process.
    06834 14:51:25 (0) **    - a WMI repository corruption.
06835 14:51:25 (0) **      In such a case, you must rerun WMIDiag with 'WriteInRepository' parameter
06836 14:51:25 (0) **      to validate the WMI repository operations.
06837 14:51:25 (0) **    Note: ENSURE you are an administrator with FULL access to WMI EVERY namespaces of the computer before
06838 14:51:25 (0) **          executing the WriteInRepository command. To write temporary data from the Root namespace, use:
    06839 14:51:25 (0) **          i.e. 'WMIDiag WriteInRepository=Root'
06840 14:51:25 (0) **    - If the WriteInRepository command fails, while being an Administrator with ALL accesses to ALL namespaces
06841 14:51:25 (0) **      the WMI repository must be reconstructed.
06842 14:51:25 (0) **    Note: The WMI repository reconstruction requires to locate all MOF files needed to rebuild the repository,
06843 14:51:25 (0) **          otherwise some applications may fail after the reconstruction.
06844 14:51:25 (0) **          This can be achieved with the following command:
    06845 14:51:25 (0) **          i.e. 'WMIDiag ShowMOFErrors'
06846 14:51:25 (0) **    Note: The repository reconstruction must be a LAST RESORT solution and ONLY after executing

    Following might help
A Wmiprvse.exe process crashes in Windows Server 2008 R2 when you use the WMI interface to query the hardware status on a computer that supports the IPMI standard
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2280777
I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own.
This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.
I saw this in my googling.  Listed as the cause on the hotfix page is the following: "This
problem occurs because the Ipmiprv.dll module leads the Wmiprvse.exe process to crash. This behavior depends on certain hardware sensor types when the sensor is enumerated."  The
faulting module for that hotfix is ipmiprv.dll, and our faulting module is ntdll.dll.  I'm thinking that this hotfix isn't applicable, but I'm open to hearing why I'm incorrect if I am.

    Hi Alex,
Please ignore the above bapi call, it is too complex since it is a custom BAPI that Im trying to call. For now, I am trying to call a very simple BAPI --> BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETDETAIL just to make sure that communication is happening.

  • MBAM web site configuration failure

I've set up MBAM 2.5 on my ConfigMgr 2012 server. Its integrated with Configuration Manager and created the two data bases on the same box with Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL 2012 with reporting services. (I've configured a working OSD windows 7 task
sequence that uses MBAM to encrypt and store the recovery key.)
Now I'm trying to install the two web sites on a second windows 2012 server that is also acting as a deployment point with pxe server.
I can connect to my reporting server with a browser from the local server without being prompted for credentials. The MBAM reports are configured and visible. I'm using the same service account for SCCM reporting services and web service application
pool domain account. I've been working this for several days and am running out of ideas.
Next I'm going to set up a new 2012 test server to act as the MBAM web server only. Maybe that will simplify things and I don't have to worry about breaking my Distribution Point. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    I finally found the problem.
I had the reporting services url wrong.
http://sccmserver/Reports (this connects successfully but is wrong.)
The wizard would say the path was wrong so I changed it by drilling further into the report server.
    By selecting the Bitlocker folder.
Then the wizard stopped  showing the red error wrong path but it turns out it was still the wrong path.
A bit misleading. I noticed on my SCCM server in the Reporting Services Configuration Manager under Report manager URL,
http://sccmserver/ReportServer  Typed this in and finished the wizard for the first time.  :)

  • Acrobat XI Pro crashing, faulting module: TOUCHUP.API

Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.4.63 (running on W7 Pro + SP1, 64-bit) has suddenly begun to crash when moving text fields in forms. I am now unable to add or edit any text in text fields of any PDF form. No updates, installations or system changes were made prior to, or at the onset of, this issue
I have attempted: Disable antivirus; use safe mode; repair install; remove faulting plugin from reference path and repair install; uninstall + CClean registry + full reinstall; and full reinstall without any updates. Acrobat software is unusable in its current state. I would appreciate some help!

  • Incorrect fault status - why is it not possible to...

We have had a fault on our phone line since last week - VOL051-115******, initially it was a very noisy line which was also killing the meagre broadband speed we normally make do with. When the fault was reported a line test was run which was passed - I assume it just checks connectivity rather than line quality, and the fault was blamed on our internal cabling (which we don't have any of, it's all wireless from the master socket) plus the fault is still apparent when connecting directly to the test socket.
The line has now degraded so much that we do not even get a dial tone (none for the last 3 days) but the fault still blames our nonexistent internal wiring.  How can I get this fault status corrected?, if it stays like this nothing is going to be done to fix the real fault. I can’t raise a new fault online because it says there is a fault already on the line which means the line test doesn't even get done so it looks like my only option is to sit in a phone queue for at least ¼ of a hour being charged by the minute because I am forced to use a mobile.

    Hi
I suggest that you get back to the Faults dept on 0800 800 151 and inform them that you now have no dial tone in the test socket, they should be able to change the fault location on their system which should progress to Openreach to attend.
Can I also suggest you remove the VOL number from your original post.

  • Issue in propagating the fault in BPEL

    Hi,
I have an issue in propagating the fault in BPEL.
    This is the scenario,
    a) I have a BPEL process which inserts data to a table, where a column is a primary key.
    b) I invoke this BPEL as a partner link in another BPEL process.
    c) I have provided catch for primary key violation in the invoking BPEL process.
Here, it throws below remote fault:
When invoking locally the endpoint 'http://localhost:7777/orabpel/default/InsertExceptionGen/1.0', ; nested exception is:
com.oracle.bpel.client.delivery.ReceiveTimeOutException: Waiting for response has timed out. The conversation id is bpel://localhost/default/HandlingESBFaultInsert1~1.0/20502-BpInv0-BpSeq1.6-2. Please check the process instance for detail.
But In the case of ESB, I could able to handle the primary key violation fault.
    ie)
    a) An esb process inserts data into a table, where a column is a primary key.
    b) A BPEL process invoke this esb as a partner link.
    c) In the invoking BPEL process, provided catch for primary key violation.
Pls. someone throw some light on this.
    Thanks
    Jude.

BPEL process should get a bindingFault for any application related errors.
since it received remote fault, may be some problem with connectivity.check the timeout values in the bpel configuration.

  • Need help removing MBAM 2.5 SCCM integration from SCCM 2012!!

    Hi there,
I upgraded the infrastructure from MBAM 2.0 SP1 to MBAM 2.5. We have three server infrastructure. Everything is working fine except the computers wont show up under MBAM computer collection.
I am trying to remove MBAM 2.5 SCCM integration feature from my SCCM 2012 and reinstall it. When I try to uninstall it, it fails and says " setup failed to update MBAM. Fix the issue and run setup again.
For more information, review the setup log file.
