MBAM quarantined the daisymread.dll file by mistake could this damage Firefox?

Back on the 27th of July my Malwarebytes Pro real time scans found what it thought was a Trojan so I quarantined it but after I did a reboot my PC and browsers were slow and buggy but luckily there was a .Net update for Windows the next day so I think that probably repaired that file but what about Firefox is it possible that it was damaged since the daisymreader.dll handles browsers if remember correctly.

I wonder whether Microsoft has a checker for .Net? That would be easier than trying to find a specific web pages that invoked that particular file to know whether there is an issue in Firefox (or in IE).

  • Webroot antivirus quarantined the ssl3.dll file, now Firefox won't run. How can I fix it?

I updated to the new firefox 8. It worked fine until webroot ran a virus scan. It quarantined the ssl3.dll file as a medium risk threat. Is it safe for me to un-quarantine, or is it a malicious file?

    Hi Codgerette,
This is Greg from Webroot Support responding to your post.
I checked your Support ticket and it appears that the reason the file was quarantined was due to a false positive detection which has been resolved. I can assure you that Webroot products are thoroughly tested with other software packages to insure compatibility. Occasionally some applications that receive incremental updates may initially get flagged due to the behavioral detection technique in SecureAnywhere. Unlike traditional security software, Webroot SecureAnywhere relies on a cloud database to check files, so as soon as this file was deemed safe, all customers who have Webroot SecureAnywhere installed will not have this file quarantined and the installation should go smoothly.
    Thanks,
    Greg

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • After I installed the latest version of ITunes I get a message saying I'm missing the SQlite3.dll file. I have even unistalled the new version and then re-installed, still same message.

After I installed the latest version of ITunes I get a message saying I'm missing the SQlite3.dll file. I have even unistalled the new version and then re-installed, still same message.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Now paste it in the folder  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

I looked into the blocked diagram and i see 3 inputs.
the reason i know this because the block diagram said so.
lets say that i don't have the blocked diagram and only the WEBCAMGRAB.DLL file. How would I know how to use the file in CALL LIBRARY node?
how do i know that int32 is driver, width, and height?

what if i don't have the .h file?
do you have examples of using .DLL to hardware?
i got the example somewhere on this forum...its been 5 years since i took the last C programing class...
    here is the DLL.H

  • Where is the HP8563_32.dll file located?

Can someone direct me the HP8563E_32.dll file?  It was not included in the HP8563E driver that I downloaded from NI.com.
    Thanks,
    Jared

Since you posted this question the the LabVIEW forum, I'm assuming you wanted to use the LabVIEW driver and not the CVI driver. The LabVIEW driver does not require any DLL. Get the LabVIEW driver here.

  • Is there a way to re install the tbb.dll file?  From what I've seen in the forum, it looks complicated.

I just downloaded Adobe Photoshop cc 2014. I wished I as told I would need a certain because obviously it's missing. I never needed the tbb.dll file when I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop cs6 and I had no problems  that up  I may have to ask for my money back  if I have to download a file from some unknown service. Can you help? tbb.dll photoshop* windows 64 bit

  • I was installing an update when I got the error message that the MSVCR80.dll file was missing.  It wants me to reload itunes.  What do I do?

I was installing an update when I ogt the error message that the MSVCR80.dll file was missing and windows error 126.  What do I do?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • How do I open .dll files automatically with Adobe Reader through Firefox?

    Hi,
When I print eBay labels through Firefox, a .dll file is downloaded. This used to open automatically in Adobe Reader, but now it opens as a text document in TextEdit, so I have to manually open Adobe Reader, change options to show "all files", and then locate the .dll file and open it.
When I try to change the default application in Firefox preferences, I can't find anything with the content type "dll".
Is there a way to have Firefox automatically open .dll files with Adobe Reader?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
    Steve

    That worked, thank you!
I quit out of Firefox, renamed the file like you said, restarted my computer, and restarted Firefox.
When I went to download a label, Firefox asked me which application to use, and I picked Adobe Reader. I also checked the box to make that the default. This automatically opened the file in AR, and then when I did it the next time it worked perfectly.
Again, thank you so much for your help with this - although it's just a bit of time here and there saved it really adds up!
    Take care!

  • HT1923 I have iTunes installed on a PC running Windows 7. When I downloaded an iTunes update, iTunes wouldn't open, and diplayed a "system error" message: MSVC80.dll file missing. Does this indicate a Windows 7 problem? Is it fixable?

Unable to open iTunes on PC running Windows 7. Error message: MSVC80.dll missing. ITunes had been working normally until I downloaded an update, and the error message appeared.

    Hello bhillblom,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update.  I recommend following the steps below:
    Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.
You can find the full article here:

  • Applepushservice.dll file - can I get this somewhere?

I upgraded to iTunes 10.6 (Windows Vista 32-bit) and since then, cannot access iTunes. Got the following error message:
This application has failed to start because ApplePushService.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Clicked OK on that window and get another window:
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes.
    Error 7 (Windows error 126).
Since that happened, I have followed the advice I got here and from Apple's support files, which was to delete every Apple program from my computer, re-boot, and then re-install iTunes. I have done that 5 times over the past few days and still get the error message. I am completely stuck.
My question is, can I download this file somewhere? I can't find any information on doing that on the Apple support site.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m running Windows 7 (Ultimate - 64bits) and was keep on getting “ApplePushService.dll was not found” , “iTunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)” error, right after upgrading from iTunes 10.5.3 to its 10.6.1.7 version, no matter how many times I had the whole Apple’s products uninstalled and re-installed over and over, it just didn’t work!
    Short answer:
Removed my “Emsisoft anti-malware” (I didn’t bother to go and add some exception rule or possible workaround within the app, just removed it totally!. In your case, it might be any other anti-malware software)
Longer answer, “how did I do it?” method:
So I looked for “ApplePushService.dll” file online and after getting its MD5 (2F9BC257E314003FF0C332583C4F36C8) could get a copy of it from the net but after placing it in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\” it was getting removed automatically and instantly by an application without even giving any warning about its possible security issue.
    Prior to this head ache I had all following applications running on my system;
    1: Avira anti-virus (FREE edition) 2: COMODO firewall 3: Emsisoft anti-malware 4:Windows firewall 5:Windows Defender
So started by removing “Avira” and setting both Windows Firewall and Defender to OFF and still no luck, story short, after removing “Emsisoft Anti-Malware” and rebooting the PC and then replacing “ApplePushService.dll” in its designated folder, everything was back to normal!
I hope it’s been helpful to you guys out there and saved you from an unavoidable sleepless-night!

  • Error message - "The iTunes Library file is full could not be saved" - Help

    Hi folks.
I looked for current / recent chatter on this iss before creating this topic. Didn't see anything that addressed this issued recently. If I missed it, sorry, if not, here you go!
I got an error message last night while using iTunes. It just popped up during use, not while using. The error message read "The iTunes Library File could not be saved." Now my hard drive is DEFINITELY not full. I have hundreds of gigs of unused space. This appears to be an issue strictly related to my library.xml file. Stupidly, I clicked the don't show me this again and closed the message. My concern now is that I'll rip new content that won't end up in my iTunes library even though it's on my hard drive, thus that content will not be findable by iTunes.
I don't want to just rebuild the library from scratch as I have fixed tons of errors in how iTunes classifies my music over the years and all that work would be lost.
Any ideas on how to get past this glitch?
I noticed this problem also cropped up circa the original iPhone launch. I had that phone and did not experience this prob, and I just upgraded to the 3G four days ago. It makes no sense to me that the phone is causing this, but perhaps the upgrade to the iTunes version 7.7 (necessary to use the iPhone with my Windows computer) is the cause of the prob.
I did erase a bunch of videos and unsubscribed to several video casts. That was one recommended solution way back when.
My concern though is that since I chose the don't show me this error message again option, I won't know whether the problem persists or not.
    Oh the humanity...

I have seen this a few times, usually when other 3rd-party applications are using itunes. Such as, lastfm & the Tivo remote music player.
And, I've also seen it when I was copying a bunch of digital photos to the exHD in the background while playing music and the song changed. iTunes saves the playcount in the ITL file when the song ends.
You might check this Microsoft article about "Enable write caching on the disk". I haven't seen that iTunes error since I turned mine back on for the exHD. The Tivo "delayed write failed" errors are back, but that's a different problem...
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;330174
Anyway, long story short, it gets saved OK later and I make frequent backups of that ITL file.
