MBAM with SCCM Reporting Question

My company has SCCM 2012 R2 deployed with a CAS and 5 primary sites. If we install MBAM with SCCM integration on all the primary site servers, will the MBAM reports be limited to the primary site, or will there be reports at the CAS level that cover
all of our primary sites?

Manager' it talks about the previous requirement to install MBAM on a central site server. Additionally, under the sub-heading 'System Center 2012 Configuration Manager', it states that you can install MBAM on a primary site server or on a central administration
server...

Error when trying to reinstall MBAM with SCCM

We have SCCM 2012 R2 installed and I installed MBAM 2.0 SP1 with all the components on the same server. Well that was a mistake as the website for MBAM took over and SCCM communication with all the clients was broken. So I found a TechNet article
that said I should only install the SCCM Integration Feature of MBAM and then install the other components on another VM. I then proceeded to uninstall all the MBAM components and SCCM started working properly again. I then went to reinstall just
the SCCM integration feature of MBAM and I got the error that SCCM Objects already installed. The resolution says "One or more components of the MBAM System Center Configuration Manager Objects have
already been installed. If the objects were previously installed then they were intentionally not removed. Please refer to the System Center Configuration Manager documentation on how to properly remove the installed MBAM System Center Configuration

I went to that link and did the removal steps and I still get the error when trying to reinstall it. Why am I still getting the error message?

You have to remove the MBAM Supported Computers collection, The two BitLocker configuration items, the BitLocker configuration baseline, and the MBAM reports in CM, including the folder called MBAM (you will have to go to your SSRS server URL for your

SCCM Reporting Question - Removing Duplicates (query)

I have a query created for a software usage report in SCCM. When there are multiple versions of the same software (Acrobat) installed on the same machine, I will receive duplicate results for the same machine. For example, it will come back with Acrobat
9 and another Acrobat 10 for HOSTNAME1. However, only Acrobat 10 has a usage count. Is it possible to delete the row for Acrobat that has a software usage count of "0/null" if there is another Acrobat results showing up that actually has a usage
count? Let me know if I need to clarify. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

MBAM 2.0 with SCCM Integration: Recovery Audit Reports errors.

I have installed MBAM 2.0 with SCCM integration according to the following website:

SCCM 2012
SCCM SQL Server
MBAM Server
MBAM SQL Server
Components installed:
Integration components on SCCM 2012 server
Compliance and Audit Reports on SCCM SQL Server
Recovery and Audit Databases on MBAM SQL Server
Self-Service and Administration Monitoring on MBAM Server
Everything is running correctly: SCCM sees compliance reports, keys are populating into the Recovery database. Self-service works correctly as tested.
However, the Recovery Audit Report in the /Helpdesk webpage reports an error:
"Cannot create a connection to data source 'DataSource1'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection)
Browsing to the /Reports page on the MBAM SQL server (with reporting) yields an empty page.
If I install the Audit and Compliance reports onto the MBAM SQL server, those populate (but are empty, as SCCM is handling that component), however, the Recovery Audit Report still yields the same error.
Ideas?

You can put the Audit Reports on the SSRS instance on SCCM Server. But it has its own limitations. What if you want to configure the encrypted configuration within the MBAM environment using SSL certificate. In that case you have to take special
care while using the SSL certificate for configuring the reporting Point as it has been also used by the SCCM.

So, let me get this clear, I can install the Audit Reports onto the SRSS I am using for SCCM and not have to deploy an SRSS instance elsewhere? The SSL certificate detail is not an issue. I am desperately trying to avoid yet another instance of
SRSS.

MBAM 2.5 with SCCM Integration

I've installed MBAM 2.5 and now need to roll back the changes as I didn't specify the -SsrsServer value and this is hosted on a different server. When I try to run Disable-MbamCMIntegration I'm getting the following error

If you edit the following key in the registry on your SCCM server
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MBAM Server\Enabled\CMIntegration to 0 and then restart the server it will allow you to re-add the feature with a different config.

Unable to install MBAM 2.5 with SCCM integration on named SQL instance

Hi,
in production i am installing MBAM 2.5 with SCCM integration but during the installation it asks for the SCCM reporting services point and which it is unable to recognize.
whereas in my lab environment i have default SQL instance which has reporting installed, in that case it works fine.
can someone let me know why the issue is coming?
in the event log the issue is : Description = "user domain\username is not able to get the lock at this time.Error:0x40480732"

For the integration part, You need to install the MBAM SCCM Integration feature on SCCM server. For compliance reporting in integration, MBAM uses the Reporting service point for SCCM.
When installing the SCCM integration feature, you need to provide the name of the reporting Server where Reporting Service point role is installed for SCCM. But it does not provides any option for the instance but for the Server only. We have two instances
for SQL. One for CAS and other for Primary site. We need to run the installer on CAS and hence need to connect to the SQL instance for CAS.
We have also tried with the powershell commands but it is not working either.
Is there any way to install MBAM integration feature on a SQL instance. As far as I know, it automatically picks the instance but not happening for me.

SQL Server reporting (SSRS) with SCCM. Language issue - how to change it?

My SCCM 2012 R2 server is setup on a Windows 2012 R2 server (English) but has non-English language pack installed.
I have the server working great with SCCM 2012 R2 working in English.
The reporting has turned out to be a bit of an issue as it is displaying the paths in the other language.
For example if I browse to http://servername/ReportServer and click to view the available reports the links are all non-English.
Also, if I go to the ConfigMgr console -> Monitoring -> Reports the names appear in English but if I click on any of them to view their properties and go to the security tab I can see the path is not English.
I want to, for the sake of some of the people that will be viewing/using the reports, change it into English.
Is there any relatively painless way to do this?
Changing the language preferences in Internet Explorer does not affect it as these appear to be hard coded.

Thank you. I had previously seen that page but unfortunately it did not resolve my issue.
It is quite frustrating as I can see the actual folders on my server in English (C:\Program Files\SMS_SRSRP\Reports) yet in the browser the folder names and URLs appear not in English.
Also looking at Reporting Services Configuration Manager it does not show any option to configure this. Arg!

Question on the Adobe Captivate 6.x Google LMS Widget With Email Reporting

Im looking to use the Adobe Captivate 6.x Google LMS Widget With Email Reporting to collect quiz answers and results but due to security issues I would like to put the results directly into a databse and not into google.
Does anyone have any experience in doing this and if so how what do I have to change to get the widget to send the results to the database.

Email reporting has been removed in Captivate 6 out-of-the-box, though it can be achieved using a widget.

OSD with MDT reporting

Hi, we have SCCM 2012 with R2 CU3 and MDT 2013 and we recently switched to using the MDT database to import new computer information.
Before we could use the built-in SCCM reports to view the status of a task sequence for a specific computer, but now since we're using the MDT database, SCCM only seems those new entries as unknown, so we can't use it. We thought about linking the MDT database
with SCCM so we could link the unknown entrie's MAC address with the computer name in the MDT database (to make it more user friendly) so we could continue using the built-in report that uses the MAC address.
This seems to be a lot of work just to get some reporting, so I wanted to know if there are better/other solutions to get task sequence status for specific computers when using the MDT database with SCCM/OSD 2012.

An option could be to use the MDT Monitoring Webservice which actually gives you deployment status in the deployment workbench but can easily be read from there.

SCCM Reporting Permissions

I have a question concerning Reporting Services and SCCM 2012 SP1. I have working on configuring role based permissions. In this infrastructure, builtin\administrators includes far too many folks. I am working to throttle access to SCCM. When
I access 'Security' on the Report Website, BUILTN\Administrators have Full Control to all reports. They do not have permissions in SCCM. I have create a SCCMAdmins group that includes the SCCM Full Administrator Users (and
the SCCM server).
After some research and testing, SCCM permissions for Reporting are controlled from with SCCM Application itself and will be overwritten if changed at the website itself. I cannot figure out where this specific (builtin\administrators)permissions are
within SCCM or perhaps SQL(?-which does not have builtin\administrators assigned either). An Administrator on a server should not necessarily be an Administrator of an application. :). I am not sure where to look or how to change this permission
and would appreciate any help and insight you may have to offer. Thanks so much.

Unfortunately, I cannot change the current Admin model only do my best to help them secure SCCM as it should be. I was looking to direct some of these 'Admin' users to the website for reports and avoid some console installs. I
am just looking to lockdown to prevent potential issues.

I undid it as it breaks CM12 and I didn't want to work out all the details, since IMO it will take hours to do this.
What I would do, is the following.
If nothing has happened, then remove domain admin for the Local Administrator group. Then I would grant only the CM12 full admin to Local Administrator group. After take I would grant DA access to the reporting user group only.
If you can't remove DA from local administrator group then I wouldn't worry about it at all. Anything that you can put in place to prevent them, they can undo anyways so what is the point of trying to lock it down. Just because... then why solve the problem
and remove everyone from DA.

Reports that was taking 2 seconds in version 8 is now taking 4-5 seconds in versino 11

SCCM Report for Laptop Battery Condition

Good morning,
We are in a situation where we're needing to monitor conditions of laptop batteries in the school district I manage. I have added the laptop batteries class(Win32_Battery) and have all required/requested information checked under this class. This
has been set for a week, so all devices should be inventoried by now.
How do you recommend my getting a report together that shows battery condition/etc? The fields I would like to see are ones such as:
Win32_Battery
battery status
design capacity
design voltage
Expected Life
Error Description
Full Charge Capacity
Really anything that will help us in knowing which laptops batteries need replacing.
I am not that knowledgeable about SQL reporting/SCCM reporting, so any help in getting this is greatly appreciated. Any resources that you can point me in for getting more familiar with creating my own reports would be greatly appreciated. I
don't even know where to begin.

I NEED TO PUBLISH THIS REPORT THROUGH APPLICATION SERVER.
THE QUESTION IS:
1- HOW TO START AN OC4J INSTANCE FROM ORACLE 9I DS FOR THIS REPORT?
2- WHERE (PATH) TO PUBLISH THE REPORT ON THE APPLICATION SERVER?
3- WHAT IS THE DEFAULT URL TO RUN THIS REPORT AND WHERE TO PUT IT?
4- HOW TO MAKE MAPPING FOR DIRECOTRY PATH TO TRANSLATED AS URL FOR THIS REPORT?
5- IF ANY ONE CAN GIVE ME THE FULL CODE TO RUN AND CALL SIMPLE JSP REPORT TO BE VIED IN INTERNET EXPLORER.

I can't answer to all your questions, however I can tell you that:
2) The directory where to put the report file is specifiend in a file named
<serverName>.conf
in the sourceDire property
<property name="sourceDir" value="/directory/dove/mettere/i/report"/>
that you can find under ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf
3) The URL is
http://<server IAS address>:<port number>/<jsp file path>/<repName>.jsp?server=<report server name>&userid=<user>/<pwd>@<DB conn string>[&<param>=<valore>[&...]]
5) In IE you have only to set the previous URL in the address bar.
