MBBE-"Quality. inspection" stock shows Inspection lot as "Unrestricted"

Dear All,
In MMBE, a material is available in "Quality Inspection" stock.
We checked in "QA32". There we can see, it is in "Unrestricted use".
How to move the stock from "Quality Inspection" to "Unrestricted use".
Any suggestions.

hello,
any body please help me. when i am using inspection type 12(delivery general). in that i am not getting post to inspection stock field. how i get that. because my senario is when i am doing delivery stock should go quality and then only deliverd. because products are batch sensitive product. but when i am using that inspection type inspection lot is creating but stock is not posting to quality. how can i overcome this issue.

i think you have to activate the QM functions for delivery using the QM info record,use T code QV51 and for your customer and sales organisation assing the material for which you want to use the QM and specify whether you want to do QM before or after delivery
in Standard SAP for inspection type 12 you will not find the Post to inspection tab button

Quality inspection stock showing in urestricted stock without usage decision

Dear Gurus,
We have came across a serious issue in Quality department as follows.
The skip stock status "REL SKIP SPRQ CROK QLCH" is showing in unrestricted use stock even before the usage decision is made. Now when we are trying to reject the skip material, in MMBE there is no stock against Quality inspection. & the stock when rejected is getting deducted from unrestricted stock.
Request you please guide me so as to transfer the "REL SKIP SPRQ CROK QLCH" stock yo quality ispection once 105 is done.
Kindly guide what configuration settings need to be changed.

As I am new to QM kindly clarify following things to me.
1. Even if we reject the skip stock by making the usage decision, it won't be deducted from unrestricted.
2. Skip/DOL lot will never be shown under Quality inspection in MMBE.
3. The only rejection of SKIP/DOL that will happen is the line rejection.
4. Once the line rejection happens materila status will be removed as DOL & converted to normal for next 5 lots.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Quality Inspection stock passed to new material unrestricted stock

Hello Friends,
I have created production order and done MB31 with ref to production order and at that time inspection lot is automatically created and quality having the stock suppose 10 kg.
And then i have completed the usage decision and passed 5 kg to production order material unrestricted stock and 5 kg to some another material unrestricted stock and now therefore no stock in quality.
Now i have do the reversal scenario.
With the help of movement type 102 with ref to production order i can reverse the unrestricted stock quantity of the production order material
then 5 kg is reversed . and i have cancel the inspection lot.
But i have to ask how to reverse the quantity with have passed to new material unrestricted stock ie remaining 5 kg.
My solution says:
I have to first with help of mvt type 310 pass the stock from the new material to production order material and then have to 102 mvt type with complete quantity 10 kg and then cancel of inspection lot and creation of new lot again with 101 mvt type.
Please tell me above procedure is the right solution or there any other method also exist.
I have read one solution that i have to change the inspection type 08 in material master and then do reversal with the help of movement type 322. but in this i have to go material master.
We are avoiding to make material master changes .so this solution doesn't suits me.
Secondly with the help of user exits , i have done the cancel of usage decision but that also never reverse the material stock.
correct me if am wrong.
Thirdly i have implemented the note report also ,but that also doesn't work becoz my material is serialized and for serialized material that report doesn't get executed.
Please give me ur suggestions and solutions.

Dear,
I think you have no perticular solution if it is intergated with QM.
Once you do UD and the reversal is very deficult.
Hence if you want to get the original material stock from new material..perform MB1B and tranfer the stock.

Inspection stock tab in UD

Hi Experts,
There is no tab of inspection stock in UD screen.
I am trying to post stock from quality to unrest. from UD screen for lot origin 10.

There are basically two types of inspection Stock relevant inspection and Non stock relevant inspection.
1.Stock relevant inspection : ex. inspection type 01,04,08,where after the UD you are going to post the stock from one location to another say from quality to unres,or blocked etc.Here you will see the stock posting tab in the UD screen.
2. Non stock relevant inspection: ex. 10,03 where stock remains in the same location and you are doing the inspection there itself sa in 03-in process inspection the inspection is carried out on shop floor and even if the UD is OK the stock remains on shop floor itself so there is no need of Stock tab and hence these inspection types do not require stock tab in UD.
Hence you cannot see the stock posting tab in 10 inspection type .

Post to inspection stock indicator not selected

We have a material with LEER material type (i.e. empties) with serial numbers. We don't want it to post in inspection stock when GR is performed. I have deselected indicator "Post to inspection stock" in inspection type setup in material master. User performs 103 Mov Type in MIGO screen and an inspection lot is created. We enter results using serial numbers and make UD successfully.
MM user performs Release GR block stock and stock is moved into un-restricted using Mov Type 105 irrespective of inspection lot status (coz Inspection Lot was not stock relevant)
The only problem is that UD is done successfully despite inspection lot stock tab which shows quantities to be posted and lots are shown in QVM2 - Inspection Lots with Stock.
We want that when post to inspection lot stock indicator is deselected for the material, its inspection lot quantities posting status should be closed at UD and should never be appeared on QVM2.

Quality Insp stock

While doing Availability check in Production order. If the material is in quality inspection stock, the system promps a message that material is in quality inspection stock and not in general unrestricted use stock. If this is possible then the user won't release the order. I don't want to change availability check parameters.

When you use movement type 632 the stocks becomes your own unrestricted
To transfer them to quality MB1B with movement type 322 (suggested in morning too)
By doing this the material is under or sent for quality inspection
QI stocks cannot be used for sales orders
For the material to undergo quality check and clear the inspection the material should have quality view activated in it with type of inspection and other details etc
First you are sending them for QI
For the material to have successful clearance of QI the QM view in its master record should have beem activated
Doing MB1B ***** your stocks to QI
QM view in material master makes sure that your material undergoes QI like( inspection type etc)
So in your case without MB1B the stocks will not sit in quality
MB1B is tranasfer posting (the heading itself is self explanatory) means under MM control stocks are shifted from one place to another
Unrestriced to restricted
one plant to another plant
one storage location to another storage location that is transfer the postings from one storage location to another etc

Sample still showing in quality inspection stock after usage decision completed

After process order completed, we have received 100 units as a quality inspection stock. After usage decision,( QA11), I have posted 98 units to unrestricted use and 2 units to the to sample usage
98 units successfully move to unrestricted stock.
However 2 units for sample still showing quality inspection stock.
I have checked MB51, mat document number for sample is 4900000160 and movement type is 331
Do you have any idea why sample still showing in quality inspection stock. It should consumed and zero out the quality inspection stock in MMBE

Please check you MIC's control Indicators.
Is it tick on Destructive insp. under Sample tab ?
Please tick it and try again with whole process.
Destructive Insp. : You specify whether the sample is to be destroyed after inspection. This means that is no longer available. This quantity is used in the usage decision as the proposed quantity for the posting to sample.

Return posting to quality inspection stock

Hi QM Gurus!
How can i post from unrestricted to quality insp stock? I am trying to use movement type 322(quality insp to unrestricted-reversal) and an error message says "Change the inspection stock of material 1101 in QM only".
When i activated the inspection type 08 (stock transfer inspection), the movement type 322 works. However, when i do transfer posting from one storage location to another, an inspection lot is created.
So my problem is, how do i allow posting from unrestricted to quality insp stock and no inspection lots are created when i transfer the material from one storage location to another???
I would appreciate if anyone could help me.

you can reverse the stock positing providing following prerequisite have been meet,
A usage decision has been made for the inspection lot.
The goods in the inspection lot have been posted from inspection stock to blocked stock or unrestricted-use stock.
If you posted the goods to a stock other than blocked stock or unrestricted-use stock (for example, to scrap), you must first post the stock back to blocked stock before you can reverse the original stock posting.
Reversing Stock Postings
Choose Logistics ® Materials Management ® Inventory Management ® Goods Movement ® Goods receipt ® For purchase order ® PO number known.
The initial screen for creating a goods receipt for a purchase order appears.
In the field for the movement type, enter 102 (goods receipt for a purchase order into warehouse - reversal).
In the field for the purchase order, enter the purchase order number for the original goods receipt.
You can copy the purchase order number from the inspection lot.
Choose Enter to display the selection screen for the purchase order items.
Select the purchase order item for which you want to create the goods receipt and set the Stock type indicator to the stock to which the goods were originally posted with the usage decision (for example, F for unrestricted-use stock or S for blocked stock).
Save the goods receipt and exit the Materials Management component.
Choose Logistics ® Quality management ® Quality inspection ® Inspection lot ® Usage decision ® Change with history.
The initial screen for changing a usage decision appears.
Enter the number of the inspection lot for which you previously made the usage decision and choose Usage decision (UD).
To cancel the inspection lot, choose Usage decision ® Functions ® Cancel lot in the usage decision screen.

How to cancel/ reverse Quality Inspection Stock

Dear Friends
Some quantity of raw material is cleared from quality stock of raw material storage through a MT 321. Pls tell me how do I get them back in quality stock again?
After getting the material back to quality stock in raw material storage, i have to reverse th MIGO doc.

i think you have not fully gone through the link i provided.
After the stock has been posted to unrestricted stock .execute t code MIGO specify the movement type as 102( if you have performed 101 previously) then in the item detial you have to specify the stock type as unrestricted and save the document .
then do the cancellation of lot
for your information you cannot able to get back the stock in Quality inspection if the earlier posting has been done in QM ,hence you have to cancel the document and do the MIGO 101 again which will create new inspetion lot

user Exit QEVA0008 in SMOD you can check the documentation.
Module for Editing Customer Function Code
This user exit allows you to activate a function key in the menu for the
usage decision.
You can freely define the description and function associated with this
function key (+FC1).
You can use this feature, for example, to revoke (reset) the usage
decision.
Refer to the documentation for function module EXIT_SAPMQEVA_008.
Functionality
This function module is called if the freely defined function (+FC1) in the menu for the usage decision transactions is called up. A prerequisite for this is the activation of the user exit QEVA0008.
Example
Using this function module, you can reset the usage decision in transactions QA12 ("Change usage decision with history") and QA14 ("Change usage decision without history").
Include LXQEVF10 contains sample coding for resetting the usage decision.
Notes
Business transaction QM68 is available for this function in the standard system. You can display a where-used list for this transaction in transaction BS33 (Display transactions).
If business transaction QM68 was carried out successfully, the system sets the inspection lot status "UDRE" - usage decision reset (system status I0297). You can display a where-used list for this status in transaction BS23 (Display system statuses).
If you want to use the function to reset the usage decision, be sure to consider the following points:
If a vendor is released (status profile in the quality info record), an update is carried out only once; this means that if the usage decision is reset, the status in the supply relationship is not corrected.
If you make the usage decision again, the inspection results will also be transferred to the batch classification.
The quality level is updated only once (when you make the initial usage decision). If the usage decision is changed, the quality level is not updated.

Quality inspected stock for the sales return material

Hi,
For the very first time I'm working on Reworking order type. There was a material from customer return. My client want to reprocess it. So for the testing purpose in quality, I activated inspection type 06 (Inspection for returns from customer) for the material and transferred it to QI. Then I created a manual inspection lot and made defects recording and usage decision as Rejected. Now my question is where will the stock go after usage decision?

hi,
655 is for returns direct to QI stck. lot may be either 05 or 06 type.
if u want than as i already suggest you assign 05 type against return order type in Configuration (SPRO).
Quality management-> Quality Inspection -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection lot Creation> Inspection at shipping-->Define inspection lot origin to delivery type.

OMJJ - Where I diferentiate "Stock quality inspection" - "Stock unrestricted use"?

I need to know how to set up a move for the input material in quality stock, without having to use the QM or configure the material. We have the standard movement 503 that is received at the stock in quality inspection and the movement 501 that the entry into stock unrestricted use. In what field of transaction OMJJ I make this differentiation?

If one you use 501 the stock is sent to Quality inspection, then this could happen because you have checked the Post to Insp. stock indicator in the material master (Purchasinf view).
Post to Inspection Stock
Specifies whether the material is subject to quality inspection (without inspection lot processing) and whether a goods receipt is posted to inspection stock. The indicator is copied to purchase order items and goods receipt items as a default value.
Dependencies
You can select this indicator, if no stock-relevant inspection type has been selected in the inspection setup, and therefore no stock-relevant inspection lots can be created.
If you activate a stock-relevant inspection type, the entry in this field is deselected and can no longer be maintained. In this case, a corresponding indicator in the inspection type controls whether goods are posted to inspection stock.
When you use 501 the stock should be posted as unrestricted stock, then you can move the stock from Unrestrected to Quality Inspection stock using movement type 322 (use t-code MB1B).
With movement type 321 you can move from Quality Inspection stock to Unrestricted.

Backflush Semifinished product and stock post to quality inspection stock

Dear Experts,
Please advise is it possible for the below in SAP. How to do?
When backflush "Semifinished product", system automatically post to quality inspection stock. Then it is skip for 9 lots. The 11th lot again post to quality inspection stock.
1st backflush posting -> post to quality inspection stock
2nd until 10th backflush posting -> post to unrestricted stock (skip)
11th backflush posting -> post to quality inspection stock

Dear Experts,
Let me further explain what I want.
Production people produce semifinished product, but quality inspection people not inspect all the product. For example they will inspect 1st and 11th batch of product only.
So I propose when backflush the semifinished product, system post the stock to quality inspection stock. Then production people know this batch of product need to be inspected and pass to quality inspection people. Once quality inspection people complete the inspection, they will release the material (UD) to unrestricted stock.
I have no idea on how to configure and maybe it is not possible in SAP. Please advise.
Question: Is it we should manually create inspection lot for each transaction (eg. backflush or material movement)?

Quality certificate receipt without inspection lot

I have activated QM control key with certificate type but no quality inspection type activated but will take material in quality inspection through IM.

Thanks for reply pls let me explain the scenario.
I am taking material in quality through IM, mean i have not activated any stock relevant inspection type but ticked post to inspection stock in QM view.
Made PO and received the material it went to Quality stock while making GR i have selected certificate received NO as i can select Yes AND NO both are possible.So where i can receive certificate in this case here through movement type i can post material from quality to unrestricted.
So where i can restricted material should not post to unrestricted before Quality certificate confirmation.
As per Normal situation when lot is created i have to confirm certificate receipt at either of three steps.
1.While GR(Yor N) 2.Through QC51 3.Before UD .so generally i confirm certificate receipt before UD and can post material in unrestricted stock.
