Mbox 2 crashing osx 10.5.8

Question

hi I recently upgraded my aluminium g4 powerbook to leopard. I then upgraded my protools LE 7 to Protoole 8LE (since upgraded to pt 8.01 LE). First time I used it everything worked brilliantly. next time I used it, it crashed OSX. I trashed PT preferences and everything worked fine the next time I used it, until I shut the laptop down at which time, it crashed OSX. If I forget to trash pt preferences before using the program it crashes OSX when I try to use it. If I remember, it crashes OSX when I shut down. The MBox 2 driver seems to be the culprit according to the after crash report (excerpt attached below) but I'm not sure what I should do about it. Any suggestions?

a very kind man on the digidesign website help forum sorted me out. This what he wrote to me.."We have seen this issue come up a few times - can you please try removing the CoreAudio plug-in from your HAL folder (path below):
Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > HAL > DigidesignCoreAudio.plugin
Drag this to your trash, empty and then restart your computer - launch Pro Tools, then close, then try to shut down..."
hopefully this might help some other people
