Does anyone happen to know what the manufacturer and model number happen to be for the LCD modules in the 15.4" MacBook Pro might be? Perhaps a curious Apple Certified Technician has taken a peak during a repair...

Ok, here's an update: The Samsung module is the LN154X7. Found a picture of the sticker on the back of a module. Chi Mei has one module listed on their website that seems to match, because of size, resolution, color support and viewing angles: N154C1. Can anyone verify that this is the counterpart to the Samsung?

I would say that almost any brand should be fine BUT my experience has been that almost any brand other than Verbatim has at some stage or another just not been good enough.

Hi all,
I'm on my second MBP because the first had a defective rattling speaker on the right side. I could swear that the LCD on my second machine is not the same quality as on the first. It seems to have poorer viewing angles and doesn't display crisp text like the other. Curious if this display is bad or if Apple is using several suppliers this early on in the game?
My display manufacturer code (I believe checked through system prefs --> displays --> color --> open profile --> line 13) is 0610 and model number 9C84.
Can some of you post this info gathered from your machines? I wish I checked my original MBP.

Well, it sounds as if the manufacturer is Apple. The model number is printed on the back of the box on the label with all the barcodes. It's also in Settings>General>About

If you're having frequent kernel panics with your 15" mid-2010, or intermittent screen problems, the problem is, more than likely, the faulty NVIDIA GPU found in a number of those machines.

Here's the "official" Apple take on the issue - but the very real kernel panics need not be preceded by 'Intermittent black screen or loss of video'... in fact, you might not experience any video problems at all. Although video problems can certainly be a portent of things to come…
So what can you do? Print out a copy of your kernel panic and a copy of the Knowledge Base article and take them, along with your machine, to your local Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. The unfortunate thing is that many people have passed the “three years from date of purchase” now and Apple is not honoring the free logic board replacement for many users. Some dealers seem to be making some exceptions for those past the three year mark, but don’t count on it…

Systems Machine and Model Number. Any permanent solution ?

Like many purchasers of refurbished ThinkPads, I find my Machine (2007) and Model (WUK) was not registered into the Systems Board by the technician during refurbishment. The result is that ThinkVantage Tool " Update and Drivers" cannot recognize this ThinkPad, therefore no updates resulting "Error 75".
Solving this issue by renaming the HKEY (TP-79__ which is incorrect) to "2007WUK", but this is only temporary, it reverts back to TP-79__ after reboot which basically defeats Schedule Updates. To be able to input the Machine and Model Number into the Systems Board, it is necessary to use System Machine Maintenance Disc which is not readily available to us Users, Software download was also withdrawn from Lenovo Site.
It is inconvenient to edit the Registry every time in order to check updates, therefore I feel Lenovo is denying us full accessibility to the product they are selling.
Question:- Is there a solution to fix this issue to permanently register the machine and model number into the system without sending the product back to Maintenance/Repairs ?
Or is this a necessity due to company procedure for extra revenue ?

Lenovo doesn’t release a whole lot of updates, especially for the older models. So you might be able to just bypass the limitation by bookmarking the downloads and drivers page for your specific machine, and checking back for new updates once a month or so.
Definitely not a ‘true’ solution, but it’s one way to ensure that you’re getting the updates you need without having to dig deeper into the system.

I have friends all over Europe, does it matter what number they use to call me? Nope! All incoming calls are free for me.
The only time you ever have to worry about which number is if you get charged for incoming domestic/international calls.
You can tag their number (work/home/iphone) and that may show on the CallerID accordingly.
It should show, John Doe
underneath, work/home/mobile

IQ02 -Display material and Serial Number
In IQ02 If we gives Serial Number as input if that Serial Number has more than one material it is displaying one more screen in ALV display.If i select one item in that list it is going to final screen displaying Serial number details.
Now here we have a program like IQ02 (First Screen), I want that middle screen should be display in my program, I went in debug mode but i am not understanding how SAP is doing ? how can i call that middle screen..
Is there any function module or some other way available to make my job easy....

            and return.
When i execute the program, it is displaying directly the final output screen. I want the middle screen (ALV display for selecting the row) should be display, in that middle screen if i select one line it has to go to final screen.
how can i do this?

Incorrect manufacturer and model for connected devices.

I have several devices connected to my Linksys EA4500. Two of them are my Apple Mac Pro and my Logitech Squeezebox Radio. For some reason, in 'Device List', my Apple Mac Pro has the manufacturer 'Logitech' and the model 'Squeezebox Radio'. As for my Logitech Squeezebox Radio, it doesn't have a manufacturer nor a model. It appears that there is a mix up with these two devices. I have cross checked the IP addresses and MAC addresses displayed in Cisco Connect Cloud with those displayed on the devices and they match - so it's not a case of mixed up names. Could this be an issue with Cisco Connect Cloud?

Try to delete those devices from the device list and then add them again.

I have this laptop MSI Dragon Edition GT70 2OD with Geforce 780M, however it also came with the IntelHD Graphics adapter 4600 (which I think is using shared RAM & CPU).
When I go to surround and PhysX configuration, it shows the Laptop Display connected to the Intel instead of GeForce. Also, when I connect a External Display using the VGA port (laptop came with 3 additional video output ports for multiple display: 1 x VGA + 1 x HDMI + 1 x miniDisplay port), both (laptop display and external display) are connected to the Intel instead of Geforce. But when I change the external display to the miniDisplay port (using the proper VGAXminiDisplay adpater), it shows the external display connected to GeForce but the Laptop Display is still connected at the Intel adapter. This results, when I use multiple display, on low performance on my laptop display (native resolution 1920X1080)...
any idea how can I have the Laptop Display connected to the GeForce instead of the intel.
PS: When I dont use the multidisplay, I get full performance on my laptop display in despite of being "connected" to the Intel graphics display.

How to display even and odd number ranges between two given inputs.

I am just started my career in sap abap and trying to find the solution for this.
I am trying to display number range using select options, but I am getting an error "Memory low leave the transaction before taking a break".
Example: when I give two number 2 and 10 , it should display set of all even and odd numbers in that range.
Below is the code logic that I am using:

My ProBook Is Unable To Detect It's Serial and Model Number

As you can see in the picture, There are some dots instead of the product name. When I bought my PC I was able to find the model and product serial. My HP Support Assistant was also able to detect them automatically, but since some days I see these dots, I don't know why this happened. No auto detect app can now detect my PC model and Serial. Is there any way to fix it? My warranty period is over and the service center is far away from here, so if possible give me a solution that I myself can give a try! P.S. I Have A Good Idea About PCs, So Even If The Solutions Difficulty Level Is Advanced Please Do Share! Thanks In Advance
