I"m looking for a third party company that sells replacement batteries for the 15" MacBook Pro MBP11.0055.B08. I've looked on yahoo and google, but I have not found anything as of yet. My last resort is the Apple Store. Batteries are a bit pricey and just doing some price comparisons. Please help.

Don't upgrade to new 1.2 (MBP11.0055.B08) firmware!

This 1.2 (MBP11.0055.B08) firmware upgrade creates new problems. As a result, my MacBook Pro no longer sleeps properly when I close the cover. It simply dims the screen and the fans, hard drives, etc., continue running until the battery is depleted and it does a forced shutdown.
As there is no method to rollback to the pervious firmware on a successful update, DON'T UPGRADE until Apple has a new better solution.
The old firmware only did this occasionally, but this latest firmware does it every time the cover is shut or I manually put the system to sleep.
I feel like a Windows user again as Microsoft always releases patches before they fully test them.

Peter, I think you are being a little "high and mighty" on this. My intention to post the comment was two-fold:
1. warn others that they should hold off upgrading the firmware as I had a bad experience (looks like my frustrations are shared by others based on the number of postings on this subject on numerous forums)
2. see if anyone else has experienced problems like I have described and post any solution they might have found.
Since you made you attack in a personal manner I will continue: Your comments were demeaning, rude and aggressive. In addition, you have no idea what my qualifications are or how many years I have been working in the computer industry so I would suggest you do not make general statements like you did in your reply.
In the future I would suggest you tone down your personal feelings on comments posted on the forum. All you have done with your reply is belittle yourself in front of your peers and scare off any people that are afraid to post comments on the forum because of being chastised by so called "experts".
As an aside, I am blaming myself for upgrading my firmware and fully trusting that the Apple engineers had fully tested their update before releasing it for general updates. In the past, I have had very few problems with upgrades from Apple. However, I should have waited until I checked the forums before upgrading; that is my fault. My computer was running reasonably well before upgrading, now I have a problem.
As far as looking inward, I suggest you do the same. Beer always helps. Maybe spend some time with your friends?

Apple does not provide any user-serviceable parts (other than accessories or sometimes a SIM card tray).
Therefore, there are no legitimate iPhone batteries available for sale anywhere.
Anything you find will either be salvaged, counterfeit, or stolen.

The model 6,1 Late 2009 and the model 7,1 Mid 2010 use an A1331 battery. You can replace it yourself or have Apple do it for you for $129. If you need it quickly make sure you order it from a U. S. seller. Orders from China can take two or three weeks.

Douglas --- You'll hate me for this post, but think it's something people should consider when using a 3rd party Mac battery. I had to replace my old G4 iBook 14" battery late last year. Unfortunately that was smack in the middle of the battery recall so things were a mess. Since the 14" battery wasn't recalled they slowed the then stopped it's production to get all those recalls out there.
Long story short I went to ordered the NewerTech replacement battery. After the 5th replacement was sent I gave up and waited for an Apple product. Week after week I got a NewerTech battery only to find out it would not fit my iBook. The outer white cover would not fit the slot in my iBook, they were all cut badly and you couldn't even force it in. Send it back, they'd send another, send it back, they'd send another. Even took it & my iBook to the Apple Store to see if I was nuts. The Genius couldn't get them to work either.
Basically it boiled down to bad production on NewerTech's part. They were simply making batteries that would not fit into the slot that is there without the possiblity of damaging my iBook. Hope that's all corrected now. But, it's something I thought should be known.

It will only be where you put it.
If it is on the ipad then transfer it to your computer, File>Devices>Transfer Purchases, then sync it to your iphone

Well, the battery life for an 11 inch MacBook Air is 5 hours. The 13 inch Air has a 7 hour life.

I'm no expert on eBay, but I'd look for a vendor that has made plenty of transactions with positive feedback and isn't going to gouge on the postage and packing. This search comes up with a few to choose from, but I'm in the UK so you may need to tweak it if you're elsewhere.

The only place that you can get an Apple battery is from Apple. All of the counterfeiter's will claim that they have an OEM battery for the simple reason so that they can fool you in purchasing from them.
At least from OWC you know exactly what you will be purchasing and they have a one year warranty. I have purchased two from them, one for my 2006 MBP and one for my 2010 MBP.
