MC46 And MC50

hi,
When does the material is said to be catagory of slow moving items and Dead stock....
If we define the number of days for it ...then where do we maitain it??
Thanks & Regards
Priyanka.P

Dear,
Dead stock (MC50) is the part of your warehouse stock that has not been used for a certain period of time.
The dead stock value is calculated by multiplying the dead stock quantity with the current price.
Dead stock is calculated basing on the defined date period in Period to Analyze tab of MC50.
Period to analyze
Date on which you want the period to analyze. The date is given in the form DDMMYYYY.
Slow moving items (MC46)
Materials that have been consumed little or not at all over a long period of time are referred to as slow-moving items.
Number of days in the period to analyze.
The consumption values will be examined for the number of days you have entered, starting from today's date.
For materials with no consumption in this period, the input value displayed in the results list will be the number of days since the last consumption.
There is no number of days assignment for materials seperately for these report inclusions or exclusions.
I hope this one what you are looking for.
Regards,
Syed Hussain.

  • Transaction MC47,MC48 and MC50

    Hi All
I have a requirement to take values for few fields from the output of the transactions MC47,MC48 nd MC50 in R/3 and bring that data into BW.
I do think there is any standard datasources that would give me the desired result from MC47,48 and 50.If anybody knows about it please let me know.
In order to find out the underlying tables i will have to  somehow manage to debug the transactions which as you all   would agree is a harrowing task which might or might not  give me any clue.
in such a given situation i would need all you'r expert advise
    Thanks
    JP

    Hi,
Instead of debugging do F1 , F9 to get the field names.
If you get structure , then you can search in the code for that program and trace out underlying tables..
once you are aware of tables ..search help documentation for any datasources supporting these tables.
Even if you dont get the datasources, you can go for views(generic extraction).

  • Tcode MC46 and slow-moving

    Hi,
i am new to MC46. I even dont know if it belongs to MM or other modules. Can anyone answer my questions as below:
    1) how is "slow-moving" defined in this code? what is its exact meaning? just means no transfer posting, no GR/GI?
    2) what is the definition of consumption? does it mean "sell the goods to the custmer"? If it said 10days since consumption, does this mean there is no movement type 601 took place in the past 10days?
    3) is there any relationship between this code and mb51?
points will be rewarded for the help. THanks!!

    Hi,
Basically MC46 transaction is for finding out the Slow Moving Items. I.e. materials which haven't consumed from inventory in the specified period.
When we say "consumed", the mvt types that the system would consider are 201, 261, 301, 351, 543, 601, 631 and the related mvt types. It will not consider the postings with special stock E (sale order stock).
If there is no consumption posting for a material within the specified period (ex: 40 days), then the system will display the material master creation date for that material. Otherwise it will show the last posting date of any of the above movement types for that particular material.
From the last movement date , we can do a statistical analysis on the material being in inventory for a long period.
Hope this would clarify your query.

  • Material Ageing Report Through ABAP( MC46 Tcode Wise)

    Hi,
I want to develop report for Material Ageing Report which is similar to the Tcode MC46 but the problem is functional consultant told me about this tcode only and there is no such information regarding the specified tables which are to be used. I had searched in SDN also but i did not got the desired  information.
    Edited by: nav009 on Mar 11, 2010 12:31 PM

    Hi,
After comparing the tcodes MC46 and MC50,i am able to trace out that data is coming from the MBEW table but the problem is the ageing logic works on As On Date and the data to be *picked Less Than Equal to Posting Date *.
There is no such field present on which i can made this logic succesful.. i tried to develop the report through different tables also(BSIM,MSEG and MKPF) but the quantites and the amount is coming accurate after comparing it with the above mentioned Tcodes.
Is there any other table through which this problm can be solved....?

  • Inventory ageing report for batches

    Hi Experts,
I am looking for a ageing report for batches. MC46 and MC50 is not displaying the batches which is my main requirement. I learnt that its not available in standard SAP. I am planning to develop a Zreport which is a copy/reference of MC46 and MC50.
If you ever come across this situation before, which approach you followed? I appreciate if you throw some thoughts on builiding a query or Zreport or any logics.
    Regards,
    R.S

    Hi Shiva,
Thanks for the information. We are not using SLED for the batches and BMBC is just a **** pit where you can use it as work list when you try to change mass batches. I dont know how BMBC helps in fetching a report for ageing.

  • Slow Moving/Dead Stock Report

    Hi Guys
BEsides T.COdes MC46 and MC50 what other reports that are available on SAP to give the same information and also their Current Stock Balances
    Vishnu

    Hi,
Why do you need other reports?
What is it that these reports cannot provide?
If we can know what you want from the report we can perhaps suggest options. But these two reports are designed to provide the information relating to slow / dead stock and so they should be very useful?

  • List to view not moved items

is it possible to view the non movable items in the store. for example in walmart, they used to have many materials available in their shops. how can they find the list of materials that has not been saled or not moved from one store to another(stagnent). how to find the list of all materials that are not moved for a period of time. can we do that using cyclic counting
    thank you

    Hi,
MC46 and MC50 are the standard Trasactions and there is no customization involved in doing mc46 and mc50.
If you want to change somthing in this report as per your requirement, you have to take help from your Technical consultant to dovelop the report.

  • MC46 & MC50 Reports

    Hi Guru's
Can any body tell me , what logic is the system considering to execute the reports MC46 (Slow Moving) and MC50 (Dead stock)
In MC46 report system displaying 'Days Since Consumption" but when I cross check the last consumption date from MB51 report it is not matching,
In MC50 report system displaying % and Cumm% with what logic system calculating the % and Cumm %.
Plz throw some light on this issue..
    Regards
    Krishna

MC 46 is a report for Slow moving items based on the no of days you want , no of days is  the important criteria whereas in slow moving is the consumption is less.
MC50 is for the Dead stock movement report where in you can give the value range for the material and the period to analyse.Dead stock is the stock you cannot use further because of OBSOLETE.The percentage is given to sort in the ascending  or descending order for the value  and %  and then to take decision.
Both the report by view it is same, but both are different.

  • Slow moving and non moving

    Dear friends,
Our client is currently doing the following process for inventory in legacy.
    1) XYZ analysis:based on stock values based on the Current inventory
X- is the materials having for high inventory value.
Y-is the materials having for mediam inventory value
Z-is the materials having for low inventory value
    2) FNS analysis:
N- Non moving materials--It is the list of materials of no issues for last three years but stock is still there .
S- slow moving materials --this materials are listed based on the average of opening and closing stock of the materials and 50% of those average stock and Slow materials are listed based on the those materials listed below the 50% of the average stock.
F- Other than those S and N materials.
    3) ABC analysis:This analysis based on the Past consumption , i mean this can be done through the ABC analysis:---MIBC transaction it can be done.
Please suggest how to do XYZ and FSN analysis in SAP,any standard process.
    Regards,
    Canand

    Hi,
for slow moving item use MC46 and in same you can do ABC analysis.you can maintain ABC indicator in MRP 2 view of material master.
    reward if helpful,

  • GR/IR Aging Report

    Hi,
I'm new member of this forum. I have a questions.
I want to create a report that utilizes the functionality of GR/IR aging. I want to ask you, for those who ever build GR/IR aging report, what kind of field I can use to trigger the starting counter of GR/IR aging? like GR date maybe, and what kind of indicator I can use to stop the calculation of GR/IR aging, such as date of posting on BSEG may be (it just my opinion)...
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Arif

    Hi,
I don't think it can be acheieved in std report, better use below tables as epr your logic to develop a Zreport.
    EKKO
    EKPO
    EKBE
    MSEG
    MKPF
    BSEG
    BKPF
And also check the Logic of std reports MC50 , MC46 and MB5B
