McAfee Siteadvison 3.1 warns that FF 3.6.8 has problems when downloading directly from Mozilla

FF 3.6.7 popped up a download msg telling me that 3.6.8 was avaliable to correct problems. The update seemed to go as expected, but when I opened the new version and went directly to Mozilla to download a copy of the program from there, McAfee's Siteadvisor 3.1 popped up a warning that the download contained suspicious content.

Probably a false positive, due to McAfee not being ready for the Firefox update. If they took the time to keep up with impending Firefox updates, they could avoid inconveniencing their customers.

If that doesn't help, drag the App Store icon straight up off your Dock so it goes, "poof".
Now drag the App Store icon from your Applications folder to the Dock. Try updating your apps.

my son had this problem. I went to the apple store and they wiped out and restored the phone.. They said that was all they could do but that I should call our phone carrier and ask them. I did. They asked if in the top left side, next to battery power there was a icon of a half moon. There was. They said to go in to settings and go to "Do not Disturb" and turn it off. I did.....problem solved!!! Somehow "do not disturb" was turned on and that is what happens if it is!!

I recently just downloaded the 'Waze' app as a backup for my Garmin. I've read a few reviews that seem to rant and rave about how good the GPS app is. It is community driven and maps are constantly being updated by users. Plus it has a few other fun stuff in it (something similar to Gasbuddy where you can owe prices on the map). But like the person above me said, there is lots of useful free GPS apps in the App Store.
Oh and I may be wrong but I remember reading an article about Google being slower about updating its maps system--ie no turn by turn voice, which many people have had complaints about.

I recently had to reset my computer, and now when I'm trying to download Adobe PS that I purchased directly from the site, the installer finishes about 50% then says it's failed because I have a counterfeit version.
I know I did not purchase a counterfeit.

On your computer's iTunes press and hold the shift key if youa re using Windows (command key on Mac) when clicking the Check For Updates button on the Summary tab and should let you navigate to the downloaded file.
But first you may want to copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11). You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. Firefox 4 Beta has problem when printing shipping pages from Amazon Marketplace, it shows and prints strange symbols instead of the packing slip and the label. Do you have any idea why is that?

Well, I installed it 2 days ago and yesterday when I tried to print a packing slip and a label for Amazon customers it printed so many strange symbols that were nothing like what they are supposed to be, not even close. When I printed it with another browser it was all fine, so it is obviously a problem of the new version of my favorite browser. Probably something with the encoding, but since I'm not a computer geek, I cannot give more info. :(

Is this a dial-up connection modem?
Is this a wired cable or DSL modem that sits on the desk with a wire running to a USB port on your computer?
Is it a wireless USB adaptor that plugs directly into the USB port?
If a wired cable or DSL modem, a USB connection to a modem seldom plays well with Macs; usually very slow at best. Freestanding modems should have an ethernet port. Use it. Fast and reliable. If your ISP left you a modem with only a USB port, get them to exchange it for one with an ethernet port. Don't take no for an answer.

I am getting errors that indicate the the licence has expired when running an executable file on another computer

I am trying to run a compiled program as an exe on another computer. After several days it now comes up and indicates that the licence has expired.
The code was compiled using labview 2009 sp1 and ran for several years until now. There is no other labview product on the computer.

What makes you think that a license has expired? NI provides LabVIEW Run-Time license for free. The only licenses that may occur is some toolkits require a deployement license. Some of these tool kits are things like DSC, Vision, and ECU Measurement just to name a few. It doesn't sound like this is the issue if it was running for years so I don't know what could have happened. It would help if you showed a screen shot of the license expired dialog, or even the license manager to show what things are installed and what aren't.
Has the PC had any changes since the issue? Changing network devices like adding a wireless card, or changeing ethernet devices can cause the PC ID to change, and then the license will need to be reactivated. This can be done again through the license manager but without more information like what actually happening, I can only guess.

Can I update to earlier than the latest (currently 8) version of Firefox? I need that because my test frameword has problems starting Firefox version 8 and there were no such problems up until version 7.

I recently updated from Firefox 7 to Firefox 8.
Until version 7 the test framework I use, based on Selenium, was working normally with the browser. Since I updated to version 8 - the framework can't open any browser session. So I had to downgrade to older version to be able to run my tests. But the only older version than 8 was 3.6 - really stable but very, very old one.
So I need to choose to work with any version between 3.6 and 8, excluding 8 for now.
How can this happen from the Firefox site?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.

There should be a User Agent Switcher menu item under Tools, which gives you the browser names you can impersonate.
The menu item name changes to the browser UA you are presently using.
There is also a User Agent Switcher button, you can add it using View -> Toolbars -> Customize, and dragging the button to your toolbar.
