McAfee Symbols missing

Hello, I use firefox browser. I have McAfee security. Until recently the McAfee symbols used to come up besides sites after a search which is a nessecity. They have gone! They still come up for the site you're on though which is of little use.
They still come up for IE and chrome after a search but you're my favourite.
Please, is there an explaination? I will not be uninstalling and reinstalling the McAfee either- this will have complications.
I need these Green/Amber/red/grey symbols back it is too dangerous to not have them. Not good with computer either.

N80: Envelope symbol missing although new message

Hi,
I have a problem with my nokia N80.
Normally when there is a new text message, an envelope symbol appears on the main screen of my nokia. This same envelope symbol is also shown when the phone is in stand-by and shows basic information such as date, time, missed calls and the envelope symbol.
The problem is that the evenlope symbol is now missing on the main screen. It still appears on the stand-by screen and also when I'm in the messages menu, it shows that there is a new message.
My question is of course: how to get this envelope symbol back in my main screen?
To be precise, by main screen I mean the default, home screen of your nokia, showing things as time, provider, battery, calender, WLAN-scan.
I have updated tot the last symbian version.

Hi,
I have stored my messages on a memory card and it seems that here lies the problem. When I eject the memory card and the messages are stored at my telephone memory,it shows the envelope again. However, as soon as I put in my memory card again, and change the message settings so that messages are stored at the memory card, the evenlope stops showing.
Do you have any ideas on this?

Wifi symbol missing plus phone won't switch off

My wifi symbol is missing from my screen, settings say I am connected, checked this by turning cellular data off and I can still access Internet so I must be connected.
Thought by switching off and turning on again might fix the issue but my phone won't switch off.
Can anyone offer any assistance? I'm a bit of a technophobe so need things in laymans terms please.
My iPad and another iPhone are showing as connected to the same wifi network.
I have an iPhone 5.

RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

Public symbols missing after installing edir 8.8.5

I have 3 servers, 2 NW6.5SP8 and 1 NW5.1SP8. I installed edir 8.8.5 and SP8.8.5.5 from edir 8.7.3.7 on the master replica (NW65). After much difficulty, I finally got it to boot clean. I then proceeded to the other NW6.5 server with BM3.8 installed. Because of the difficulties I had with the other server, I decided to first upgraded to 8.7.3.10 FTF2 from 8.7.3.7. This seemed to work OK. I then installed edir 8.8.5. I cleaned up most of the errors and when the last of the errors could not be reconciled, I decided they might be reconciles with the install of SP5 for edir 8.8.5. This resulted in the following errors:
Loader cannot find public symbol: __get_errno_ptr for module DS.
These errors were followed by a series of 663 errors:
NWDSLoginAsServer returned -663
I followed TID # 10061953 to reload the library to ensure that all of the modules matched. When I stepped thru stage 3 loads, I received errors from POLIMGR:
SERVER-5.70-918: Loader cannot find public symbol: MASV_GACfgDeregisterService f
or module GAMS.NLM
SERVER-5.70-918: Loader cannot find public symbol: MASV_GACfgRegisterService for
module GAMS.NLM

I figured it may be a problem with the library load and just proceeded to install the latest library (NWLIB6L) using NWCONFIG and then rebooted the server.
Rebooting continued to give the PMLODR public symbol for DS error along with the 663 errors. I solved this using Forum posting CSS.NLM cause critical error, posting # 11. I added file NASAUTO.NCF to SYS:\SYSTEM with the contents DELAY 40. This solved the public symbol errors for DS and the 663 errors above.
I now receive the following:
SERVER-5.70-918: Loader cannot find public symbol: SAL_HiResTime for module NMAS
.NLM
SERVER-5.70-918: Loader cannot find public symbol: SAL_ThreadGetCurrentID for mo
dule NMAS.NLM
Module SPMNWCC.NLM cannot be loaded until NMAS.NLM is loaded
SAL is loaded. NMAS is loaded. SPMNWCC is NOT loaded. I do not use universal passwords. After the server is fully up, I unload PMLODR and POLIMGR and reload them, I dont get errors.
I suspect this is a timing issue. Both of my 6.5 servers are now receiving the SAL public symbol errors on bootup. The servers seem to be functioning properly.
Are the SAL public symbol errors cosmetic? Do I have to worry about them? Can I do something to resolve them?

Sent mail symbol missing

Recently my Mail is acting up. I select e-mail press reply, do it, send it and most of the times that little symbol of e-mail answered will not show up!?
It creates quite a bit of confusion since that is what I do all the time and always afraid that e-mail is not answered.
Any suggestions?

You have email sounds turned on in Settings > Sounds and the alert volume isn't turned down ?
Or have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music/iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Bang Symbols & Missing Artwork

anybody have a fix ???

AAC files are stored on a time capsule.
Bang symbols appearing adhoc when I start up.
When bang symbols appearing against first track on an album artwork is not rendered (fig 1).
Artwork is rendered once first track is played / opened (fig 2)
NOTE other album tracks have bang appearing.
This is a major niggle when you have hundreds of albums.
Is there a way I can get rid of these bang symbols easily or prevent appearing??

right, from what i have worked out any images that itunes finds for you sometimes doesn't transfer over to the iphone for whatever reason so for these songs/albums just download your own image which you can find easily on google.
For multiple songs in the same album image if you've used your own image it won't apply to all the songs in the album, so highlight all the songs in this album then right click and go to 'get info', on the info page double click on the 'artwork' box and select the image you want to use. This will apply your image to multiple songs without the need to do each individual song. Believe me saves a lot of agro.

McAfee Subscription Missing

I got a lenovo g575 with a 60 day subscription for mcafee
Here's What I Tried:
I clicked on system restore and restore it but the second i restore it. the action center saids anti virus not turned on so i went to mcafee antivirus plus and click on Real Time Scanning and it is turn off when i clicked on Turn On and for about 5 seconds Real Time Scanning just turns off when i clicked turn on nothing happens.
Then i uninstall mcafee antivirus plus and went on my mcafee account and download it.
then i put in my email address for my subscription and let it install.
then when clicked on mcafee and clicked on Subscription Tab and it only shows 30 days left
how come it only shows 30 days instead of 60 Day Subscription it even shows on my invoice on my mcafee acount
How do i get this to change it back so that the 60 days was included

Facetime symbol missing from phone number

Problem: I can no longer make or receive facetime calls to my iPhone 5, however I can to my iPad using the same apple Id.
When looking at my own contact I can see the facetime symbol against my email address but not my phone number. If I look at other contacts I can see they have the symbol agains there phone number and email address.
I have tried disabling and reenabling facetime and iMessage and as far as I can tell the number is verified.
Can anyone help?

Charging symbol missing

All of a sudden after doing update 7.0.6 my iPad 2 no longer has the charging symbol when plugged in. It charges (slower than before) but does not show that it is charging. What is up with that? It charged for 6 hrs and was only at 99% this morning but it isn't losing charge any faster so is there a fix for this? Thanks!

Try doing a Force Restart. Hold down Home and Sleep simultaneously till the screen goes dark and a white Apple logo appears. Release and allow it to finish restarting.
In iOS 7, the only charge indication you get is that the battery symbol on the top/right corner will go green when the charger is detected.

I am trying to compile a project that uses inflateInit, deflateInit, inflate, deflate, inflateEnd, deflateEnd, which are all from zlib.h... i know i am getting a linking error and it cannot find the implementation of these files. i have included libz.1.1.3.dylib within my project, i have tried including libz.dylib, i have also tried to put the
OTHER_CFLAGS = -lz
none of this has seemed to work. any help would be much appreciated ! ! !

VTK build fails - missing PNG function

Uninstalled an old manually compiled version of VTK, replacing it with a proper Arch package. Quite a lot of it compiled alright, then I got a bunch of errors all saying that png_set_gray_1_2_4_to_8 is missing. There are no complaints of other PNG symbols missing; I have libpng 1.4.0 installed and apps depending on it are fine.
An actual error line:
/usr/local/src/vtk/src/VTK/IO/vtkPNGReader.cxx:119: error: 'png_set_gray_1_2_4_to_8' was not declared in this scope
png_set_gray_1_2_4_to_8 is supposed to be defined in png.h (or whatever it includes) but vtkPNGReader.cxx isn't seeing it.

Have you got a working PKBUILD? I replaced the line
patch -Np0 -i ./vtk-libpng-1.4.0.patch
with the homebrewed:
cd $srcdir/VTK
for i in Utilities/vtkpng/png.h Utilities/vtkpng/vtk_png_mangle.h Utilities/vtkpng/pngrtran.c

Flash CC not compatible with Flash 6 (buggy swfs)?

I recently started a new animation job and the entire studio is using Flash 6. I wanted to get some extra work done at home, so I bought Flash CC under the assumption that I could use the files again at work. I completed a scene over the weekend, no issues, brought it in to the studio this morning and the file refuses to export a swf. As soon as I attempt to test the scene, Flash freezes for a good ten minutes, and the .swf eventually comes up lacking all tweens and some keys, with symbols missing colours and parts, and once the .swf is closed, the .fla now has all of the same issues (tweens gone, symbols messed up). Before exporting the .swf, the file looks just as it should. All tweens are there, all symbols look fine, the thing scrubs perfectly. The act of exporting the .swf seems to be what causes the issue.
Studio tech guy suggested it might have something to do with CC's publish settings, but I'm looking at them now and they're the same (with the exception of Actionscript 3).
I further tested the scene in my old CS 5.5 Flash and it worked flawlessly in that. Only 6 seems to be having issues.

That's correct. All that's being done is pretty basic symbol animation. Tweens, eases, a lot of symbols within symbols for easy switching of parts. What confuses me most is that it opens fine in CS5.5. What features might CS6 have/not have to completely break the file?
I also attempted to re-save the file in CS5.5 and then try opening it in CS6. This killed the program. Didn't even get as far as exporting a swf. All of my tools disappeared, all assets were corrupted, and the program just went on an endless loop of thinking and freezing.

How do I change E50 Keypad?

I have just bought a new keypad as my other is scratched and some symbols missing but there is no information in the E50 manual about how to change it.

when you removethe battery cover there are snap locks on all sides of phone take a flat end tool and slide it from top in between the phone and cover and run around completely then you can change keypad and slide it back

No keycodes for Extrakeys in Xorg but on the VC

For some days now I try to get some extrakeys working for X. The frustrating thing is that I get Scancodes as well as Keycodes when I am in a virtual console by using showkey but when I use xev in a XSessions there is not only a Symbol missing for the Key but there also is no Keycode. The Output of such a key in xev is the following for example:
FocusOut event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x1800001,
mode NotifyGrab, detail NotifyAncestor
FocusIn event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x1800001,
mode NotifyUngrab, detail NotifyAncestor

Hence in udev things work while in evdev they don't. Going through all the related pages in the wiki I only found information about what to do when the symbols are missing in Xorg but not if the keycodes are missing. And the mapping of Scan Codes to Keycodes for udev with hwdb does not provide the keycodes in X, so is there a possibility to map scancodes for xev or how do I get recognized these keys in X. I would be happy for every hint that puts me into a direction cause I don't know where to look further.

You can try plugging the headphones in and out several times, also try toggling the volume and mute buttons while doing this.
Also click on GO in the menu bar>Utilities>Audio MIDI set up .app and see if your can select built in from there.
Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup/Built-In Output/Output and in Format change from the default 2ch-24bit integer to any other format (say, 2ch-32bit float). This should activate the headphone jack. I moved the format back to the original 2ch-24 integer setting and the headphones continued working.
PRAM reset:
Power off, power on holding OPTION COMMAND P R immediately after powering it up, and hold till you hear the second chime, it can take 10-30 seconds for the second chime to happen.
There is a micro switch in the headphone port that sometimes gets stuck, you can also take cotton swap, cut the cotton end off and try to GENTLY "massage" the port to free up the switch.
If none of these helps, you may want to take it to an Apple store for a free evaluation

6120 - Blank screen in power saver mode

Hi everybody!
I have recenty become a proud 6120 owner (my first symbian :-)), and I have 1 question:
how can I prevent in power saver mode, my screen to go complety blank??? I would like to see the status of my phone (time, missed calls, messages, etc.)!
this is really annoying!
can anybody help me, how to change/prevent this?

In menu/settings/themes/powersaver I have to tick one of three options (time/date, text or animation). Whichever is ticked I get at least the clock in powersaver mode. Events show under the date (or text if you choose text) so keypad locked has a symbol, missed calls have a number (of missed calls) and a symbol and so on.
However I have also noticed the screen is totally blank after a while and pressing a button starts the powersaver cycle again - briefly showing the dark main screen (including missed call message etc) before showing the clock with the symbols for a short while again. The time it takes to enter powersaving mode is in the display settings but I can't see a setting for how long it shows for.
Why the clock etc doesn't stay I do not know - I presume even this would eat the batteries more than strictly necessary. I can't see any option to keep it but it may there somewhere!!
