McCartney's new iTunes ad broke iTunes, help.

I have recently reinstalled my OS and so it's all in pristine condition, so you can imagine my dismay when I a link from apple.com has broken my new iTunes. I went to load the new macca ad but I got a message saying that it wasn't available in this country. OK no worries but it still loaded the iTunes store.
I couldn't get rid of it, the bit at the bottom was gone. Anyway I quit and restarted iTunes, which does not have anything in it yet, and went to delete some of the default lists and it immediately crashed.
OK, I quit, trashed my prefs and restarted, still quit when deleting the playlists. I've tested it in my spare testing account and it is the same so I know it's not a ~/Library thing. I can't see anything in the /Library that could be corrupted.
I've tried trashing the whole iTunes folder, that didn't help.
When I reinstalled I used the latest 10.4.9 combo updater. Everything was fine before Macca stuffed it up.
I don't know what else to do. I've redownloaded the latest iTunes and extracted the app, which is now sitting on my desktop, I'm considering just dropping on top of the iTunes that is already there but I'd rather not do this unless I have to as it may not fix the problem.

Same thing has happened to me. I upgraded to itunes 9.0 and now I am receiving the disc drive or software not found error. Diagnostic also shows that my CD/DVD drive isn't recognized. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the itunes software as well as my drivers and it still isn't working. I have also done every tip recommended by Apple and on various forums to no avail.
I guess I should have stayed with the older version....I have never encountered this in the past. This is very frustrating, hopefully Apple can come up with a solution quickly.

when i download the new itunes 10.6.3 to my macbook pro, it successfully downloads, but when i try to update my ipod on it, it does update, but my ipod says it's still using 3.1.3? (I checked in *about* on my ipod). any help would be great

The current version of iTunes for Mac or Windows is 10.6.3. The firmware for your iPod is 3.1.3. Both would seem to be up to date. No problem, no solution.

Cannot Get new itunes HELP!!

I Recently had to uninstall the old itunes due to problems. now when I attempted to install the new iTunes, I had problems. Everything downloads and installes great but when it is almost done installing a box comes up and sayes "the older version of Apple Software Update Cannot be removed. Contact your Technical Support group" Has anybody experienced these problems or can someone help??

Keeping songs on ipod after reinstalling new itunes-help!

I recently wiped all programs off my computer and reinstalled them due to virus issues. However I did not realise that the new itunes program would not recognise the songs on my ipod and wants to write over the songs before allowing me to put new songs on there! I do not have another backup of these songs that are on my ipod- how do I overcome this problem?

New laptop, new itunes, help with sync.

I have bought a new laptop. Downloaded itunes and installed it. I have hooked up iphone 4 to laptop. Authorized the compter for itunes. Seeing its a new laptop and new itunes download, there are no songs in the itunes library. How do I get all the songs (966) from my iphone to the itunes library? Sync does not do it.

Time for a new computer, it's on it's way and I did everything I could to prepare for it. I put it all on an external drive. But I have no idea what I do when it comes in. Is it a matter of dragging or is there a special recovery process you do? Help a sista out...who is on Ambien right now and the keys are floating...LOL.

IPod classic & New iTunes HELP

I just upgraded my iTunes today to the newest version, 11 and i plugged in my iPod classic as i always do every day to the computer to listen to music through iTunes. iTunes is only showing the music that was purchased through iTunes ex. 200 songs, and not acknowledging my whole iPod as it always does in the past. When I click on the top right tab for "my iPod" it does acknowledge that I do have more songs on my iPod example 500. Where are the rest of my songs? and is there a way I can go back to the older version of iTunes so I can listen to my whole iPod instead? Thanks!

I should've been more clear...it's not a monitor problem...i just can't get the software license agreement page to go away. After i check the box and click save and save it to my computer the screen won't change to the main page thing for my ipod so i can't even start syncing music until i can get that page to show up. I know how to sync my music once i get to that page, but i just don't know how many more times i have to save that stupid license agreement.

i need help , recently my laptops hard drive broke so i bought a new laptop so i needed to download a new itunes .... how can i put all my data from my iphone back onto itunes ? music, contacts, apps etc.. i heard that u cant and i would need to clear my phone entirely ?! can someone help wityh this please ???? i dont want to lose any of my iphone data ... eve if i cant put it on my itunes can i still keep it on my iphone without losing any data syncing ????

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up your phone manually before syncing, you can restore your phone from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Set up your iTunes account, disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

My old computer, and external that I had everything backed up on broke. Majority of my music I got from burning CD's that I no longer have. How can I get all my music on my iPod onto my new iTunes?

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

New iTunes for old iPod. HELP?

so my sister got an iPod mini 2nd generation and put her songs on there through her iTunes on her computer. She gave the iPod mini to me. Now I want to put my songs from my iTunes on the iPod but every time I try to "sync iPod" it keeps her songs on there. it does not put my songs on there. is there any way that I can put my songs on there by using a new iTunes on a different computer than the original??
