MCM Gatekeeper 12.4(17) "show gatek calls" not making sense

Sometimes when I do a "show gatek calls" to view current Video calls, the information show for a particular call shows the H323ID calling itself, however it shows different E.164 address for SRV and DST endpoint. This does not look right to me. Calls are still being connected fine, however I would like to know what would cause this particular information to appear on the call log. I have attached the debug log and "show gatek calls"

The current GW2P Gateway Cards register with the Gatekeeper with Service prefixes. show gatek gw-type prefix. The GW service prefixes were setup from the get go. thats not the problem. I believe The problem has to do with LRQ(Location_Request) timing. Everytime the GK receives information from the GWs, endpoints or MCUs the information is then displayed on the show Gatek calls display. I have a TAC case in, and IOS Engineers looking at the case. I still do not have a solid answer to this.

  • Calls not making it to recipient

    Recently I contacted verizon wireless regarding a problem with dropped calls. This problem was addressed and I do not think I have had a dropped called since. However, I still am having a problem with calls not going through.
    What I mean by this is that I will call someone and I will hear the ringing on their end, all the way to voicemail. I never leave voicemails. When I eventually hear from that person, they will tell me their phone never rang and that they have no missed call. Sometimes, they will tell me their phone just rang once when on my end it had rung a good 7-10 times. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this? It tends to happen more when calling people on Sprint or AT&T but I have had it happen with people on Verizon as well.
    On a possibly related note, my iMessaging has been malfunctioning quite a bit since my partner moved. Roughly half of my texts from my iPhone to her iPhone are forced to be delivered as regular text messages. She is in sprint. I have had a cousin and a friend (AT&T and T Mobile) respond to texts days after I sent them tell me they were just received.
    Any help is appreciated on this complicated issue.

    Alright I shut off the phone and removed the sim card for about a minute.
    It's hard to monitor improvement because I don't always know when it's
    malfunctioning but I will keep you posted. There is still a problem though.
    Just yesterday I called someone and on my end there was about 8-10 rings
    but on their end only 1 ring. This morning two calls and a voicemail did
    not make it through.
    Texting is also hard to monitor but isn't really the issue I'm concerned
    with fixing as it happens much much less than the phone calls. I'm a
    physician in training and it is pretty important to me that people are able
    to contact me when they need to and vice versa.

    We built a clean NW 6 SP3 server with Zen 3.2 SP3 (upgraded to Zen 6.5). We
    aren't running the agents on any pc's yet, so we are just using inventory
    with the 3.2 engine. We are missing a few thousand workstations (although
    we have a few thousand that show up fine both xp and nt) and have been
    running it for about 3 weeks on user login. My pc (xp sp1 with Client 4.9
    SP2) for instance shows the policy schedule for inventory and runs. Below
    are the zenerrors.log and the registry (invscanner)
    The minimum info is there but when I click more info, it says inventory not
    present in database (sybase). I try to watch the scandir/conv/dbdir folders
    but I never see it pop into any of them

    Does the STRfile make it to the server (sys:zenworks\scandir\dbdir)?
    Check with Salvage if any Strfiles have been there. From there they
    should be merged into the database.
    Make sure you connect to the right database using consoleone. (better
    still, make sure there is only one inventory database object)

    I could not find any document that show how to configure the MCM (Gatekeeper) routers and TACACS+ servers to handle video conference end units H.323-IDs registration. Our IP Video Conference end units have DNS names associated with IP addresses. How do I set up the Gatekeeper MCM routers and the TACACS+ server to support H.323-IDs registration?

    Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Try reseating or replacing the SIM card.
    Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). 
    Has any of the above been tried?

    Is this on-premise IM&P or SaaS WebEx Messenger for a backend?
    For on-premise this is done server-side between CUCM and the IM&P cluster. For this to work the end user must be associated to the line appearance of the DN on the device making the call, not the End User Configuration page. Has this been done on that specific line appearance?  If yes, does CUCM send the SIP PUBLISH event for that call? You'll need the SDI traces for this. If yes, does the SIP Proxy on CUP receive the event and turn it into an event for the Enterprise Presence Engine?
    As you can see this quickly turns into a log review session. Honestly though, it's almost always a misconfiguration in CUCM causing this.

    Not all carriers allow that to be set using preferences in the phone. Contact your carrier.

    Thanks for your response, I forgot to add that the five 3uk sims we have in use, I have tried all of them none of them are recongnised non of them have pin codes, I even purchased four more sims Tmobile (original carrier) Vodaphone, 3 and giffgaff.

    I have had a Thunderbolt for several months now and I have had a problem with missed calls not showing up and voice mail showing up with missed calls, I have talked to tech and reported  this and I received a refurbished phone and still have the same problem any know issues with this?

    I apologize for the delayed response and its unfortunate you are still missing calls with the replacement device.  Can you please advise if you have taken advantage of the newest Software Update?     I have many queues and two of them show one call in each of the queues on the supervisor desktop. However there is not any call in the queue. How do I clear theses calls/stats on the supervisor desktop for the end user so it does not show bogus calls on the queue on her clent?

    Looking at the problem description i am suspecting that your system is hitting BUG:-CSCsu40814
    BUG:-CSCsu40814
    Symptom:
    The supervisor desktop realtime reports will show an entry in "Oldest in Queue" that appears to be a call in the queue but has no time associated with it. The issue will show as 1(00:00:00)
    Conditions:
    So far the only condition that exists is that calls are coming into the system.
    Workaround:
    None
    Further Problem Description:
    The system RealTime Reports does not reflect this call and it is only shown in the Supervisor Desktop display. There is not actually a call in queue as well and it seems to be a reporting error.
    The defect can be explained as follows:
    ++         This happens because of any of the  unsupported configurations/actions for UCCX.
    ++         This will lead the UCCX engine not to clear the entry of the call internally and thus it will send messages to the CSD to display the call.
    ++      Ideally when you have a legitimate call: "1[00:20:00]", this means that there is 1 call in the queue for 20min. However, 2[00:00:00] means that this call is no longer in the queue, but there is a false entry of the same.
    ++         Therefore, the restart of the engine will remove these entries
    ++         This entry will be created in the UCCX engine when an unsupported action is performed such as transfer to a different Route point etc. (not necessarily this).
    ++         The defect addresses how such a call is handled so that the call entry can be appropriately cleared.
    ++         It would be difficult to say why the issue started to occur, but we can explain as to why the entries are seen on CSD and how we can clear them.
    Please note the following:
    ++        All unsupported scenarios/configurations mentioned in the guide have to be avoided:

    ++         All the unsupported configurations can cause this issue to occur. However, the defect-fix has been verified for the following configurations:
    1.       When an agent on call c1 initiates consult c2 to the RP,cti port, c2 is just in the process of getting queued when agent completes transfer and so c1.iaqstate is set incorrectly to NOT_IN_QUEUE due to a race condition. The defect CSCsu40814 occurs even in regular, supported agent to rp transfer scenarios due to race condition.
    2.       As soon as the agent went reserved for the primary consult , he answered the primary consult but even before the main call could be fully transferred to the agent, He held the primary consult call and initiated a new call to the RP. This is what caused the main IAQ call to terminate.  And he was left only with the new call he initiated. So he again initiates another consult and completes transfer.So the agent wanted to answer the PRIMARY consult and immediately transfer it back to the RP without talking to the caller.In this particular scenario, the call was between 2 CTI ports
    Issue can be resolved by restarting the CCX engine(in off hours). This is a temp workaround .
    you need to check if agent's are not using any unsupported configuration .

    Hi,
    Setting the Calling Party Selection to Originator will send the Original Calling party number to your provider. If your provider accepts any calling number, it is well and good.
    you may also need to enable the other setting 'Redirecting Number Delivery Outbound' and Redirecting Party Transformation CSS to ensure the IP phone's number is sent to provider as a Redirecting number along with the original calling number and final called number.
    Please collect 'debug isdn q931' for a test call to verify how these numbers are sent to provider.

    When during incoming calls only the number is visible but not the name of the person who is calling, it means that the contact details are saved in two places - on your SIM card and on your phone memory. To solve this issue, you have to select all the contacts from the SIM card, move them to the Contacts in the phone memory. Make sure as well that you don't have, for example Roger - xxxxx and Roger - yyy (meaning one name with different numbers). You won't have this problem with contacts which you add now to your address book though.
