MD01 prameters

Hi,
My client's process is MTO. Only for last level raw materials it is MTS. So I have used strategy 20 for finished and semi finished.
Client says after sales orders are created in system and MRP run is done, still quantity of sales orders may be changed ( increased or decreased) if their customers say so.I have suggested client to run MRP in background in MD01. But I just want to know what should be setting for Processing key and Planning mode in such case of sales order's qty change?
Regards.

ME,
you can re-position the 'req closed' button so as to be immediately visible during conversion, using standard table display variants within ME22N
You should read "Getting Started" in SAP help.  I kind of like the older 4.6C version myself, cited below.  Later versions have more stuff but I think they are less clear.

You use drag and drop to reposition the columns, then save your settings as a local display default variant.
I am really surprised that in case of sales order qty reduction, then user has to manully change qty of production order or firmed planned orders at all semi finished levels!! Imagine if there are many levels of BoM and so many Stock transport PR/PO's involved, then it is a tedious and herculean task!!
I guess you have never been a planner.
1.  You don't need to create a STO until you are ready to ship the product from Plant A to Plant B.
2.  You don't need to create a Purchase Order until you are ready to place your order with the Vendor.
3.  You don't need to create a Production order until you are actually ready to manufacture the product.
4.  You don't need to create firmed planned orders or firmed Purchase reqs at all, if you don't want to.
If you have made a business decision to create many firmed elements, long before they are required to be executed, then, yes, you will have a lot of manual maintenance.  As mentioned before, there are reports that will generate lists of such items that need to be actioned. However, you can also choose to minimize the fiming of elements, such that there is seldom any requirement to change them manually. Hercules can thus turn his attention back to Greece, and hopefully use his strength to solve their economic problems.

  • What is the process flow in MRP - MD61+MD01,MD02+MD04+COR7

    Hi experts,
I need one clarification for Material requirment planning ( MRP - Process industries )
My company is newly implemented in SAP so i want some clarification in MRP side.  My company flow is 3 rd level converted of FG.
1 st level - Raw paint - Samifinished
2 nd level - Tin condition - Samifinished
3 rd level - Case condition - FG
I have raised PIR in MD61 at FG code, after MRP Run planded order created at three level ( 1 st, 2nd, 3rd - level)
But what is the t.code used is correct recording MRP Run - MD01( Plant level ) OR MD02 ( Single item)
what is the t.code used for over all requirment Bill of material list ( ROH & VERP)at plant based recording purchase the material.
Kindly pls explain the flow for PIR > MRP RUN>STOCK RECUIRMENT LIST> PLANNED ORDER TO PROCESS ORDER>
    Thanks,
    Umapathy

    Hi,
To proceed further you should firm confirm that below master data properly maintained in your system,
    - Create BOM - CS01
    - Create Resource - CRC1
    - Create Master Recipe - C201
Now your business process starts with the requirements created in the system e.g. by MD61 in your case
Now you can run the MRP by MDBT/MD01/MD02 for your case. It is suggested to go with MD02 for better understanding on MRP behavior for single FG material.
Now You can analyze the MRP result for single FG material in MD04 transaction wherein you will get the planned order created through MRP run and also the order report for planning of below level components of BOM
Then you can further proceed for Production Execution with the help of below transactional steps:-
    - COR1 - Create Process Order Manual
    - COR7 - Convert Plan Order to Process Order
    - COR6N/CORZ/CORR - Order Confirmation
    - CORS - Cancel Confirmation
    - CORT - Display Confirmation
    - CO53 - Control Recipe Monitor (Optional)
    - CO55/CO60 - Maintain PI Sheet (Optional)
    - CO54 - Process Massage Monitor (Optional)
    - MB31 - Goods Receipt For Order
    - COIK / MB1A / MIGO :- Goods Issue
    - KKS1/KKS2 - Calculate Varience
    - CO88 - Actual settlement
    - COOISPI - Order Information System
You can see the all PR created through MRP in ME5A transaction by selecting the Creation Indicator as B for MRP as shown in below screen,
And for rest of analysis you can use COOISPI report.
    Regards,
    Narresh

  • Creation of PR with MD01

    Hi,
Somebody knows if exists some parameter that allows the grouping creation of PR with transaction MD01? In my customer, the MD01 creates one PR for each material
    Thank you!

    Dear !!!!!
I think the Possible Entry u can Make Individual/ Collective requirement = 2 Collective in MRP4
Also if you want all requirement to get add monthly or by weekly then it can be get instead through lot size
As in yours cases you want monthly then make MB in MRP1 view .Keep lot size MB.
This will create only one PR for the entire month.
    Revert Back!!!!!

  • MRP FOR CBP MATERIALS- MRP TYPE 'VB', IN MD01

    Dear PP Gurus,
My client wants to run MRP for consumption based planning materials (MRP type: VB), for there individual plants. For this I have suggested MD01 for planning in the perticuler plant by using the user exit available in the screen. But then also, after MRP run system is plannig all the materials which have MRP type PD as well as VB.
    The user exit parameters are
User Exit Key: 002 (Consider MRP Controller for CBP)
    User Exit Parameters : CBP
"CBP" is my MRP controller for materials which have MRP type 'VB'.
Pl suggest me what & where is the problem?
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Sachin Patil.

    Dear,
    It is possible through
    User Exit: M61X000.
You need to maintain MRP group assign it to the VB type material then go ahead.
For details please refer this thread,

  • While running MD01, creation of SDEB's.

    Hi Gurus,
we noticed that after the weekend run of MRP that the system has produced SDEB''s rather than Purchase requisitions. When we run individual MRP for a part then a purchase requisition is created and if run an MRP total region requisitions are not created. Can you please explain why this is happneing as it is affecting the ordering of goods for producton.
    thank you,
    Naveen.

    Dear,
Please check the procesing paramter of MRP.
Creation indicator-2 pruchase requisation in MD01 then check your result.

  • MD01 for MRP type VB

    Deal All,
I want to run MRP for VB type materials. we have used user exit. but when I am in the Transaction code MD01, the fields User exit key and User exit parameter are unchangeable, i.e. I can't do any changes to them. could someone tell me how to do this?
I am having 8 plants and having different MRP Controllers. we use the same user exit for all the plants.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
As per the previous conversation I have noticed that you have some issues to call your user exit in MD01 transaction.
There would be some technical faults exist while enhancing your user exit M61X0001 ; this exit you can use for limiting the Planning run for the particular MRP Controller.
Now coming to your specific questions:
    - The MRP Type VB make it's entry in Planning File when the shortage of stock below it's reorder point maintained in the Material Master.
    - You can maintain the Planning File by using MD20 for a material or for whole Plant you can setup a job in MDAB transaction.
    - As you have mentioned that you need to run MRP for seven plants so you have to use Scope of Planning to run MRP for all the Plants at a single transaction. You have to define a Scope of Planning in customization of MRP (OM0E) with maintaining all the plants in a sequence. Also you have to select the option Parallel Processing in MD01 transaction to run MRP for all the Plants in the Scope of Planning.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Problem with Back ground MRP Run (MDBT) or MD01

    Hello SAP Experts,
Issue :- Material is not considering during Automatic back ground MRP run ( MDBT or MD01)
But when we run MRP in forground (MD02) system is considering the material.
we have checked both the selection parameter are same for MD01 and MD02 .
can you help us on this issue ?
    Regards
    Mahesh

    Hi,
Problem is due to entry in Planing File is missing for that Material.
Go to MD21 and check whether Planing File entry is maintain for that Materiel.
If not then maintain it by T.code MD20 (Manual) or you can do it by using back Ground JOB - OMDU.

  • Use of MRP Planning mode 2 and 3 in MD01,MD02,MD03

    Hi
I am aware of Planning mode 1,2 and 3. . Planning file entry does the job of updating appropriate planning mode like Net change or Net change in horizon, BOM re-explode or reset proposal. But,I want to understand in what circumstances we prefer to go with planning mode 2 or 3 other than 1 in MD01 or MD02 or MD03 as anyway this is covered for all necessary items in planning file entry by system. I am fully aware of the functions of all three planning modes. Just I want to understand the situation in which it will be overwritten by user selecting 2 or 3 in MD01 or MD02 or MD03. Because I have never come across such situation where I deliberately run with planning mode 2 or 3 in MD01 or MD02 or MD03.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sudhar,
Planning Mode 1 is used when:
    1.Changes in date and quantity
    2.Requirement changes
3.Changes in the lot-sizing procedure or MRP type
Planning Mode 2 is used when:
    1.Changes to the material BOM
2.Changes to the sales order BOM
3.Changes to the phantom assembly BOM
4.Changes to references assigned within BOM
    5.Changes to material classification
Planning Mode 3 is used when:
    1.In-house production time changes
    2.Planned delivery time changes
    3.Scheduling margin key changes
    4.MRP controller changes

  • MRP Run in MD01 and MD03 is different

    Dears,
I am new to MRP processes. Maybe the problem is trivial maybe not.
We have a 9 000 spare parts and would like to use a limited MRP to help operators to know which number of spare parts is coming to shortage.
I set material master and made some settings in customizing for the plant I use.
After that I choose one material which stock is below reorder point.
I run MD03 and system works fine - it creates a planned order.
However when I run MD01 (or se38 ->RMMRP000) with the same parameters as for MD03 , the system creates nothing. Only telling that MRP was run and which parameters I choose.
I run MD16 to see maybe there are some planned order that system created and did not tell me, but nothing as well.
Only MD03 works if I choose the material. However, collective run MD01 is not working.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Zhargal,
Could you pls provide some more info on MRP control parameters you use while running MRP with MD01?

The name of the extension where you can find the user exit is M61X0001
You have to read the code to find out why it is not working for the new controllers.
Probably the code is not that dynamic as you thought and the controllers are hardcoded ...

  • Delete and recreate in MD01

    Hi,
When I run MRP in MD02 for a finished material with Planning mode=3 , system is deleting existing Stock transfer PR and re creating Stock Transfer PR.But when I run in MD01 with Planning mode=3 , system is not deleting existing Stock transfer PR  and not re creating a new one. Old one is retained!!
Why delete and recreate is not working in case of MD01??. Pls help
    Regards.

    PP,
    1. How to decide whether to create a planning file entry in MD20, and then run in NETCH OR ELSE directly run with NEUPL?
That depends upon what you are trying to accomplish, and what your business requirements are.  Planning file entries are generally created automatically, so creating one manually seldom has to be done on a day to day basis.  NEUPL has the disadvantage that it consumes considerably greater amount of processing power than any Net change mode.  You have to decide what you want, and what you are willing to spend to get it.
    2. If I tell to my client to use NEUPL in MD01, then whats the difference wrt NETCH
I hope you are not saying that you don't know the difference between regenerative MRP and Net Change MRP.  If this is the case, I suggest you do some homework.  Start with

  • User exit for MRP run - MD01

    Hi All,
Can i know the use of "User exit parameter" field in MD01. as i know it means if we only want to plan the materials of a certain MRP controller, for example, we can enter the key of the appropriate MRP controller as the parameter.
in my scenario, we have already incorporated a user exit for MD01 - MRP Run.
i have 3 MRP controllers, but want to plan for only 2 MRP controllers, then how to enter in that field?
    Regards,
    Ram

    HI,
User exit are available for Md01 transaction. You can plan material by MRP Type, MRP Controller,MRP Type, Procurement type & so on....
Once you activate user exit, you can select the same by drill down option in user exit Key field.
    Regards,
    Milind.
