MDC error message - 'incorrect search policy'

Having re-installed Mountain Lion on my MDC and Clients and NOT deleted any Xsan Sys Prefs and KeyChain passwords, finally managed to get all my clients Authorized OK.
Then attached my Retina Display MBP through a Thunderbolt to FC convertor box (Promise SanLink) to the FC switch ... the RetDisp MDC mounts the SAN Vol just fine and can read and write to it OK (terrific being able to attached 28TB of fast FC storage to my MBP!) ... however, on the MacMini MDC now get an error message for the RetDisp MBP saying 'incorrect search policy' for the laptop.

I am using XSAN to manage accounts and log-ins and not Open Directory ... will see if this fixes the problem.

This KB fixed the problem .... you have to change the search directories on the client not on the MDC ... then it's fixed straight away on the MDC.
Being able to have my RetDisp MBP laptop access the FC XSAN volume is sweet! .. running Resolve 9 on it and grading 5k EPIC files is pretty amazing .. Thunderbolt to HD SDI BMD box and into a calibrated reference monitor to give accurate colors plus Tbolt RedRocket card in Sonnet enclosure .. unreal.
Nesxt step .. adding a Win 7 PC through StorNext FX2 ... should be fun :-)

My old PC crashed and died, and I am unable to deactivate the licence of Photoshop Elements 7.
I re-installed Photoshop Elements 7 via a trial download from Adobe website onto my new PC, Windows 8.1 single language.
My serial number is not accepted.
Error message: 'Incorrect serial number, The serial number you entered is not valid. Click OK to retry serial number'.
Customer help care is not helpful and keep ending my chat before I get a solution.
Can someone please help me and let me know how I can rectify this problem!!!

Thank you Benjamin MItchley. I reviewed the chat log and I can confirm that they are correct we do not provide installation support for Photoshop Elements 7 due to the age of the software title. Photoshop Elements 7 also does not support activation so there is no risk that you were unable to deactivate the software on your previous computer.
I am showing the serial number under your account was provided from an equipment manufacturer. It is possible there may have been a customized installer for that version. Have you contacted the computer manufacturer to obtain the installation files for the copy of Photoshop Elements 7 included with your computer?
Since you did not migrate/transfer over any files it is unlikely there is a software issue preventing the installation. You can try running the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure that no corrupt licensing files may be preventing the installation process. Run the application 'Terminal.app' which you will find in '/Applications/Utilities' on your Macintosh.
Type this into it: defaults delete com.apple.configurator PreprationSavedPolicyDefaultsKey
Hit the return key.
If you get no error message, it worked, and you can quit the app.

Using Windows 7 Professional, as soon at I try to start a system restore, I receive error message "Incorrect function. (0x80070001)" and "Catastrophic failure (0x80000FFFF)." How can I avoid this and perform my system restore?

Error deleting source system with error message: "incorrect input for....."

Hi,
I'm trying to delete the source system using tcode RSA1 => Source systems => select the 'source system' and delete, but I got an error message as follows:
"incorrect input for activating transported shadow IPacks"
Fyi, I have opened up the client configuration (SCC4) prior to delete this source system but the source system still cannot be deleted and I receive the above error message.
Please let me know what is the caused of the error and how to solve the problem.

Error message when searching for an object link within EasyDMS

Hello,
I have a problem with the easydms system. Everything works fine except searching in the object links. When I want to define an object link and I don't know the name of the object I try to find it with the help of the search function within easydms (within the object links).
But the search always delivers an error message:
"Missing authorization check to display master data"
Does anybody now what to do?

Hi Markus,
When you try to do this the BAPI 'BAPI_HELPVALUES_GET' is used. There are some authorization checks that are being performed for the object. These authorizations are maintained in the table BAPIF4T.
For the above said test data, you are trying to get the help values for
the relevant field (e.g. EBELN: po_number).However,in table BAPIF4T the corresponding authorization for the data element ebeln is not maintained. And so you are getting this error.
So, when you maintain the below record in the table BAPIF4T,you will
have the corresponding authorization and you will not get the error
anymore.

Error message "incorrect number of file hard links" after Lion installation. Please could you advised to solve this problem; my iMac (mid 2010) is working well

After installation of OSX Lion I have ran the disk utility program and the following error message appears: "incorrect number of file hard links". The program advises to fix the disk by reinstalling the Mac OSX install dvd (Snow Leopard). Please could you advise? Additonal information: the iMac was up-to-date before installing Lion. Thx!

No, you've deleted the one that may have been damaged. As with most preferences files, OSX will create a new one, with default values, when needed, which is what we want. (Sooner or later, you should empty the trash, but it's not a problem.)
As mentioned in #A4, you'll have to re-select your Time Machine drive, re-select any of the things that were checked on the Options panel, and re-enter any exclusions.

Error message "incorrect status in pricing"

When creating a shopping cart based on free text, the system aborts with the above mentioned message and "The termination type was: RABAX_STATE" . We can not find the problem. When we run BBP_CND_CUSTOMIZING_CHECK, we get the same error message when we simulate manual pricing. We can however create a shopping cart based on product. When we run RSVMCRT_HEALTH_CHECK we get 4 green lights, so the basis installation seems correct. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

There must be some problem with VMC. Most probably java connection problem.
Pl run program RSVMCRT_HEALTH_CHECK in SE38. You should see green for all 4 messages in the result. Try implementing the latest IPC patches following the instructions from note 880749, then restart the VMC.

I always get an error message when I attempt System Updates and when I attempt to subscribe to news feeds through the app that is pre-loaded on my phone. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've subscribed to the Reuter's Technology News on my Bionic so I can stay in the know on the latest and greatest rumors in the wireless world. Not only is it my job but I enjoy reading the speculation on the latest and upcoming devices. Needless to say I've had an experience that's similar to yours.
When I received a subscription error, I had to do a factory data reset on my new Droid Bionic in order to successfully subscribe to the News Feeds. Although I do recommend that you try this, let's save this step as a last resort. Please try to remove the battery while the device is powered on & re-insert then power the device on. Afterwards, verify that you have a good 3G/4G signal, anything more than 2 bars. If you are still experiencing access issues then the factory data reset would be the next step. Here is a link on how to perform a factory data reset on a Droid Bionic.

Of course you will have to reactivate your device after the factory reset. Prior to completing the reset I recommend verifying that your contacts are backed up on either backup assistant or on your Gmail account. My client is searching within (SBO2005A SP:01 PL:41) the incoming payments and gave a * in the number field. This is in combination with Add-on Financial Journals.
When you select button 'Search' the following error comes up:
FJ: Save_FJ_PaymentValues: 1). [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Syntax error convert this varchar value '*' to a column of data type int.
I couldn't find a SAP note on this but I don't think this is due to wrong use of searching criteria?!

Error Message - Incorrect Cartridge

I have been trying for the last three hours to get my HP PSC 2355 to print but it keeps telling me that my HP 99 cartridge is not compatible. Why all of a sudden is it not compatible? Is this how these companies make their money? I removed the cartridge, cleaned it off, reinserted still the same message. I then downloaded the "update" followed all the instructions and it still doesn't work. Can someone out there point me in the right direction? Why can't they leave well enough alone? I am not doing anything difficult, just trying to print a few emails and recipes.

Try following the steps in the following document
The HP99 is compatible with your printer, but it's not getting recognised. One possible reason for this is poor connection between the cartridge contact pads and the printer. Clean the cartridge again and reseat it. Then follow Solution5 in the document. If this doesn't work, I'd suggest contacting phone support as you may need a replacement.

Error message "incorrect pasword or user name given for gmail"

When i'm conected to my home wifi or with 3G, i can't read my emails for my gmail account with Mail. Error massage says wrong pasword or user name given for gmail but it works when i'm on the wifi at work. I tried to disable SSL but i can't change any of the smtp stuff, it's all grey.
All the pop smpt etc are activated on my gmail account.
And it's the same on my iPad.

I just googled your issue and found 100's if not 1000's of similar problems with verizon.
Perhaps it's best to wait to try on their forums since it's apparently a widespread issue.
