MDL file upgradation error....

I have download Oracle warehosue builder review guide. But I m not able to upgrade MDL files using Upgrade utilites.
I got error...
"CNV0002-0023(ERROR) MDLRELEASE value is not
compitible with the driver file version."
How can I upgrade this file for Oracle warehouse builder 9i Release 2

It doesn't work as I took MATCH_BY NAMES off.
It will be defualt with MATCH_BY UOID, then I got the error
MDL1407: Cannot import PROJECT with business name <P_TEST> matching by object identifier because a PROJECT <P_TEST> with the same physical name <P_TEST> but different object identifier already exists.

Hi,
I downloaded OWB904 from technet, and am going through the reviewer's guide. To do the demos, it calls out importing metadata from Review.mdl on the install drive.
I have searched all through my computer, and all through the OWB site, and can't seem to find the files for the demos.
Where can one obtain these files? We are very excited about trying out this new release of OWB.

I'm also going through the Reviewer's Guide, and I'm trying to load the metadata repository with the Review.mdl file located in the Reviewer's Guide zip. When I try to import Review.mdl using the OWB Client I get the following error:
"Error: MDL1194: Import data file for Metadata Loader release 9.2 not supported by Metadata Loader release 3.1. Use OWB MDL Upgrade Utility to convert older MDL data files to the latest supported format."
I tried using the OWB MDL File Upgrade Utility to convert Review.mdl as suggested by the error message and received another error message as follows:
"CNV0002-0023(ERROR): MDLRELEASE value is not compatible with the driver file version."
At this point I'm stuck. Please advise as soon as possible on how to proceed with loading the metadata repository.

Error occurred during automatic upgrade of MDL file

The MDL file is exported from 10.2, we were trying to imported it into 11.2 using OMBIMPORT, got following error message.
MDL1323: Error occurred during automatic upgrade of MDL file </opt/etl/etl.mdl>.
Detailed Error Message:
Error: MDL1122: Import data file auto_upgrade.src not found
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Reason:
I exported mdl from 11.2.0.2 version to 11.2.0.1
Solution:
- Upgrade version DWH from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2
- Install separate client on the server DWH and run import script from client directory

Download Helper, even with paid converter upgrade, gives "Invalid Capture File" errors and will not record audio, with "File Creation Error - Unable to rename/copy audio file" Error.

Download Helper Screen Capture worked to capture video if the default "no audio" option is active. But, no audio. The "speakers" or "microphone" audio options are confusing....the audio to be captured is from the video, so what do you choose? With either "speakers" or "microphone" selected, the captured file has poor audio and no video. Re-capture efforts (speakers) get "Invalid capture file error" and "File Creation error- Unable to rename/copy audio file"
The paid upgrade of "Converter" doesn't work.
Instructive documentation - not very good.
Suggestions - Need time delay between initiation of "Record" and starting the video to be recorded.
Could use timer tracking of the record process.
Are there operating system limitations? (Have Windows XP Pro)

Error While Importing a MDL file

Hi Guys,
Here I have a requirement of cloning one module of UAT system as like Prod. I exported the MDL file of that module and trying to import into UAT. The UAT system already has that module, but I want to override the existing mappings.
When I try to import, OWB is throwing an error.
To give brief about the actual items, I have a Project (FFH1) in Prod and one of the modules (STG1) need to be copied.
Here below the error Message:
MDL1261: Error importing PROJECT FFH1.
Detailed Error Message:
MDL1406: Cannot import PROJECT with physical name <FFH1> matching by object identifier because a PROJECT <FFH> with the same business name <FFH_1_3> but different object identifier already exists.

i have got a similar error - the difference is that I have one repository and one of the mappings was deleted. When I tried to import it from an export which was taken earlier in the day and no change was made to any of the mappings in the project except the action of the offending mapping been deleted I got the following error:

This attributes that the messages are referring to are columns in a table and I can't see where I can change a business name and physical name of a column in a table. What I don't understand is that this mapping created ok, deployed, ran and was included in an export and at no time did an error appear. It first appeared when trying to import it back into the project.
Has anyone got any ideas how I could get this mapping imported?

Error while importing the mdl file

Hi All,
I have created the warehouse builder owner repository on linux box,but when i try to create repository user its throwing an error as PRS-00305,could not reserve name due to an internal error.
And when try to import an mdl file also its throwing the same error as above i.e PRS-00305
If any one know the answer pls send me solution.

It might also be the MDL file you are trying to import. How was it exported with dependencies, or not? This might be the problem depending on the environment it is exported from and imported into.
Give this a try;
Create a dummy mapping, any will do.
Save your changes.
Export only this mapping and ensure export dependencies is not checked.
Delete the mapping
Save your changes.
Try importing this mapping back in to the same environment share with us the results.

Cannot Release Lock error while Importing mdl file?

Hi,
I am trying to import an mdl file in the test enviroment from the development environment.
No users are working on test environment.
I start importing the mdl file.
Then I got the error as "Cannot Release lock:.
I checked that, no sessions are active and no one is using parallely the owb for testenviroment.
Could anyone explain, why this error came?

AND after that

WRK54G firmware upgrade fails: file pattern error.

When I attempt to upgrade the firmware in my WRK54G router, the upgrade fails with this error message:
Upgrade action is not finish!!
Upgrade file pattern error.
The linksys download page says the file size is 1.10 MB.
The size of the file I downloaded (WRK54Gv2_1_00_1) is also 1.10 MB (1,160,036 bytes). So it appears the file was downloaded successfully.
I had no problem upgrading the firmware to version 1.1.
Please advise.

What is the hardware version of your router? Is it version 1, version 1.1 or version 2? Where did you download the firmware of your router? Is it from the US website.
On the US website you have 3 wrk54g, one is version 1, version 1.1 and v2.

I have connected my Win XP laptop with cable directly to the router, and I am trying to update firmware to version 1.45.10 which should be the correct update for my model, but the upgrade is interrupted with "Upgrade file pattern error".
I have tried hard-resetting the router before upgrading, but with the same result.
What to do?

How are you upgrading the routers firmware? Are you using the router web-based user-interface? If you are then try using this alternate way...
Go to www.linksys.com/downloads .. search for BEFW11S4 v3 ... then download the Set-up Wizard. Use this to upgrade your router instead. When you run this program, it will ask you for a server, password and then a file. Server is the router IP, password is the router password (default is admin) and file would be the firwmware you downloaded... once you input the necessary info... hit upgrade and you should be good to go.

Not all data can be exported to Excel easily. Especially if the query result is huge or there are special characters in the query results. You may try the most updated version.

Bear in mind that in TCL the backslash is the escape character.
So, for example, if I type
OMB+> source c:\mydirectory\myfile.tcl
I will get a file not found error. The following two alternatives, on the other hand, will work:
OMB+> source c:\\mydirectory\\myfile.tcl
or
OMB+> source c:/mydirectory/myfile.tcl
Not sure whether the escape character is in play within single quotes, but might be worth checking. I always use forward slashes in directory paths just to avoid this potential issue.

Error while importing .MDL file to OWB 11g

I have a mdl file which is generated by OWB 10g, when i am importing it to OWB 11g it is giving message that please check if the disk is not full of write protected. i have given the access privilage to oralce folder.
i am using windows vista

Do yo
u have the software installed from a different user executing the software? If a different user, does the user have access to the sub-directories under owb\bin for write?
Also the directory where the MDL file is being imported from is where by default the log file will be, you can change this directory to somewhere you can write.
