"MDL1223: Metadata Loader cannot be executed ..." error?

Hi folks,
Am getting this strange error from OMBPlus (11Gr2):
MDL1223: Metadata Loader cannot be executed while other user(s) are accessing the workspace.
when trying to import an MDL file, when using this statement:
catch {OMBIMPORT MDL_FILE '$projname.mdl'\
                            USE UPDATE_MODE\
                            CONTROL_FILE 'control.txt'\
                            OUTPUT LOG '$projname.log'} result
where the CONTROL_FILE (control.txt) simply has:
IGNOREUOID=Y
CONFIGPARAM=N
SINGLEUSER=Y
Am thinking that SINGLEUSER setting may have something to do with it? Have got an SR open with Oracle on it but no luck there so far - just wondering if anyone else has come across something like this...? Seems to certainly sound like a new 11G-ish/workspace-y kind of thing. Am really curious to know how to determine what users are currently accesing a workspace?
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,
I would be the SINGLEUSER tag. In 11.1 and 11.2 you should connect using the USE SINGLE_USER_MODE option and remove the SINGLEUSER setting from the param file.
Regards,
John

  • C compiler cannot create executables error, Sun Studio 12, snv_69

    I am having difficulty compiling a program for R version 2.6.0 from the bioconductor site called RSQLite. I have successfully build R with Sun Studio 12, but now this particular package complains that my C compiler cannot create executables and I have idea how to go about trying to fix this. I don't know if you need to see the 'configure' file to help with this.
    The output from the config.log file is:

    Apparently the the config program is running dmake without the -m option. Dmake replies that it is defaulting to parallel mode, and the config program uses that message as a compiler command or option. After that, the wheels come off. :-)
    Fix the configure script to run dmake as
    dmake -m serial
    and see if that fixes the problem.

    ctags comes Mountain Lion. If you wish to download and install a newer version, it compiles perfectly. I don't know what problem the original poster had. If you are having specific problems, I suggest you post exactly what problems you are having in your own thread in the Developer Forums.

    /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.6.2/cc1: error while loading shared libraries: libcloog-isl.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    cloog provides libcloog-isl.so cloog /usr/lib/libcloog-isl.so.3 and cloog /usr/lib/libcloog-isl.so.3.0.0 but not libcloog-isl.so.2.
    Edit: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 35#p983435
    If your system is fully updated, maybe you're using some custom packages, like glibc https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 51#p845851

  • Error: "The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost."

    Hello,
    I'm working a developing an OA page that will displays the contents of an Oracle table and allows the user to update records in a table as needed.
    When I hit submit button to save the changes in the update page, the control goes back to main page (where all the table records are displayed). It displays the updated record with the new information.However when I hit "Go" button on the mainPG, I get the error "The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost. and the changes are not committed.
    ANy suggestions on where I should look will be greatly appreciated.

  • "Error:The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost", after DELETE

    Good day,
    On Search Page, I have searched for the record(s) then deleted a record and got confirmation message i.e. Record has deleted. Next when I search for any record I'm getting below error.
    Error
    The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost.
    Could you please help me to fix this issue. Your response is highly appreciated.
    Item properties:
    Item Style : Image
    Action Type: Fire Action
    Event : delete
    Below is the code using in CO and AM
    Controller (processFormRequest):
    if ("delete".equals(pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM)))
              // The user has clicked a "Delete" icon so we want to display a "Warning"
              // dialog asking if she really wants to delete the employee. Note that we
              // configure the dialog so that pressing the "Yes" button submits to
              // this page so we can handle the action in this processFormRequest( ) method.
              String visit_id = pageContext.getParameter("visit_id");
              String employeeName = pageContext.getParameter("last_name") + ", " + pageContext.getParameter("first_name");
              MessageToken[] tokens = { new MessageToken("EMP_NAME", employeeName)};

              // Note that even though we're going to make our Yes/No buttons submit a
              // form, we still need some non-null value in the constructor's Yes/No
              // URL parameters for the buttons to render, so we just pass empty
              // Strings for this.
              OADialogPage dialogPage = new OADialogPage(OAException.WARNING,

              // We set this value so the code that handles this button press is
              // descriptive.
    dialogPage.setOkButtonItemName("DeleteYesButton");
              // The following configures the Yes/No buttons to be submit buttons,
              // and makes sure that we handle the form submit in the originating

    dialogPage.setOkButtonToPost(true);

    Hi
    Check this link Getting error in search page search cannot be executed
    Regards,
    Dilip

  • Error: Show Details cannot be executed when multiple items are selected in a report filter field or in a slicer

    I have connected TABULAR Model to Excel, and in the pivot the filter is on multiple dimensions. When doing the drillthrough action it gives error - Error: Show Details cannot be executed when multiple items are selected in a report filter field or in a slicer
    Is there any workaround to this error?  so that drillthrough can be done even with multiple selection.

    Hi Vikas,
    The reason behind the error message requires the knowledge on what happens at the backend. When you perform a drill-through action, a query is sent to Analysis Services. This query is expressed in a query language called Multi-Dimensional Expression (MDX).
    Since the MDX language doesnot support drill-through command against a set (collection of tuples) an error is persisted.
    For now, there is no workaround as it is a limitation of the underlying language that is generating the query.
    When multiple items are selected you lose the ability to drill-down on individual metrics. To resolve you must either:
    1. Select a single Item.
    2. Select all items.
    Hope this helps!

    Phew!  That was harrowing.
    Found this, and it solved the problem.  Refreshingly, it was written in English and done well at that!
    http://pragmaticstudio.com/blog/2010/9/23/install-rails-ruby-mac
    Follow all the instructions.  The main missing ingredient for me was downloading the developer tools for the command line from Apple.  I had to register there, but it was free. These tools seemed to install the compiler where it was needed.  You might need a github something or other, I don't know.  I think I downloaded it as some point.  Anyway, I did everything this author told me, and now I have my first rails app!  Good luck - Joel

  • Error:  Due to a lock, query cannot be executed at the moment

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error when executing my query:
    Error:  Due to a lock, query cannot be executed at the moment
    Abort System error in program SAPLRSDRC and form /BIC/ZABC_01
    The query has been running fine for the past few months.
    Can anyone explain why this error occured and what can I do to avoid this?
    Thanks in Advance!!
    Regards,
    Swapna

    Hi Swapna,
    make sure that the BW system (e.g. another user, process, ...) does not have currently access to the data e.g. like maintain data. In this case the BW sets a lock so that the current user gets exclusively access to the table.
    Check the table if there are any locks on it. Call transaction SU53 and check your table for any locks.
    Check this thread, perhaps you will find some more information there:

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Nuthan
    It's difficult to say what out access to the concrete issue.
    but, make sure that the correct object is binded in to the task and that you do not have any bindings from the task to the method.
    But if its working in foreground but not in background it could be because there are some dialog steps in the task, have you checked if you're getting any shortdumps.
    if not you can try to debug your background task with this little trick:
    1. Create an endless loop in the start of your method, make sure you can break out of it using the debugger (while X is initial, and then set X to 1 in the debugger)
    2. In sm50 your now able to find the running process, from in here you can debug the process (I don't remember the menu)
    3. After debug remember to delete the loop again

  • "The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded..." Error Message

    After downloading and installing the Java Plug-In (j2re-1_3_1_01a-win.exe) I return to the Plug-In page (the one with the steaming coffee cup) and get the following error message: "The Jave Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from <4d\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll>"
    The odd characters before the \bin change every time I leave and then return to the page. Reloading the page gives the same set of odd characters. Has anyone seen this and if so how do I get this thing to work? I tried downloading Beta 3 of the 1.4 version of the plg-in. When visiting the page with the steaming coffee cup after installing this version, IE (6.0.2600) disappears. The browser just closes without giving error messages or anything else. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello Phinnegan et all,
    the problem is NOT solved in JRE 1.4.2_04 (build 05b)... the only solution that worked for me (too) was the one suggested by the mighty capaloco and that I enclose here together with your answer slightly below.
    Hope this confirmation will be of some help and thanks to capaloco for the effective solution.

    It worked for me. It seems that you just need to delete the file deployment.properties.
    I found it under: Program Data\Sun\Java\Deployment
    The REAL (simple) solution

    As the poster jessh indicated above, the bug is logged and workaround provided at the JDC site.
    Having gone there and read the sun response, here is the problem and simple solution.
    The problem is that if you ever had 1.3.1_xx version of the JRE loaded, then loaded a 1.4.2_xx version, some registry keys were removed, and that's why you're getting the "cannot load runtime environment" error.
    Rather than manually adding registry keys for those of you who are uncomfortable with that, you just need to re-install the 1.3.1_10 version of hte JRE. If you need to have both the 1.4.2 version and 1.3.1 version available, you have to install the 1.3.1 version LAST so it will recreate the registry keys removed by thte 1.4.2 installation.
    This problem is apparently fixed by sun in the 1.4.2_4 version of the JRE (the installation simply re-creates the registry entries that are removed), which is not released yet (as far as I know).
    Hope this helps, and thanks to jessh who pointed me to this solution.

    I loaded meta-data via outline load utilities with no errors but cannot view the meta on a web form

    Another intriguing fact is that I am currently loading these members to entity, even when I load to Position, I still cannot view the data. Functionally, it makes more sense to load these members to position
