MDM iView problem from Business Package in Portals SR1

Hi,
I installed MDM Business Package 3.0 in Enterprise Portals 6.0 SR1. When i execute the iView in Portals, its asking me to download the security file. When i change the iView property from WebGUi to WinGui, its working properly.
Did anyone faced the same problem.

Hi VIjay,
please turn off the Accessibility option in your portal personalization options (upper right corner, Personalize -> User Profile -> Activate Accessibility Features:
(Screen reader required) -> turn it off.
Does it work now as expected ?

     Thanks for getting back to me. One question, Do I need to install CMS seperately or the does
     the BusinessObjects installs it?
     When I did the BusinessObjects install it installed the Microsoft SQL server 2008 Express and created an
     SQL Server Instance named BOE140. I checked with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (which I downloaded from Microsoft) and saw that no tables were created.
     Regarding the message
     "(.\crypto.cpp:199). (FALSE : digest exception: The FIPS140 shared library could not be found (10027))."
     listed in the log file above, what is my system missing.
     Looks like CMS is not getting installed.
     I am doing the install on a VMware Windows 2008 system with 8 GB ram and 50 GB file space.
     Are there any special requirements of configuration on the Windows system?

URGENT : EP 7.0 /ECC 5.0 - Problem with Business Package : ESS/MSS

Dear Portal Gurus,
We are facing a problem with business package for ESS/MSS
Our system Info is as under :
Portal:- NW 2004s
ERP2004: - (R3 ECC 5.0)
ESS:- BP for Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP 2004) 60.2
MSS:- BP for Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP 2004) 60.1.1
SAP XSS à (SAP ESS 100, SAP MSS 100 and SAP PCUI_GP 100 , all upto SP 12)
After the Business Packages were installed,found that some ess apps where not deployed...so manually deployed it.
The JCO connections are OK.
Do we need to set up the backend Homepage Framework for the same......even for preview.....was thinking not.
Also, here is the error and exception that we get when we preview any ESS iview.
A critical error has occured. Processing of the service had to be terminated. Unsaved data has been lost.
Please contact your system administrator.

not the authorization, but the fields in working time is displaying wrong.. (too big)

Problem with Business Package / IAC

Dear Gurus:
We just installed one business package (the one for employee self service).
I went to portal content, and navigate to the pages installed by this package. For example the one named "Address". It contains one iview named the same.
I asume that the next step is to configure this property for the iview: the System that hosts the IAC (Key Property). I entered the system name entered in the System Landscape (the one used for usermapping).
If we preview we get this error:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Application URL ':///pz13/!' is not valid! Please check the protocol and host entries for system 'Final'..
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
Could you point as to the right path here? Thanks!! any help will be appreciated.

ITS must be installed and enabled.
In your iview configuration, IAC stands for the ITS service which is indeed PZ02.
The "system that hosts IAC" must be defined in the portal "System Landscape".
Choose "System Adminsitration" -> "System Configuration"
-> "System"
Create a new System here.
look for ITS parameters of the System.
You should enter the
ITS-Host: Hostname where ITS Wgate is installed.
ITS-Path: for example /scripts/wgate
ITS-Protocoll: http or https
In the IAC iview config you have to choose a system from a dropdown box. Your new created system should be visible here.

Personal Information iViews missing in Business Package for E.S.S.

Hi all,
we have imported the business package for Employee Self-Service (ERP2005, Release 1.0 for nw2004s) in our portal. The iViews for the application 'Personal Information' (like 'Address', 'Bank Information',...) are language dependent and in the portal content all languages are visible -except Finland. According to the online documentation it should be there but it isn't.
Does anyone know why it is missing??

The personal information Iview has Personal data, address, Familymemebers/dependents, and bank details serivces. So you have to configure the corresponding infotypes 0002, 0006, 0021, 0009 and their subtypes in the IMG activity under "employee-selfservice. Sorry, I cannot give the exact path,coz I am not infront of the SAP system now.

We have a newly installed Portal 7.3 without any Business Packages installed in it.
My Questions are,
1. If i go with same backend ECC 6 Ehp 4 with Portal 7.3, than what are all the BP's that i have to deploy?
2. Can i go with same Business packages   those i am using currently with Portal 7.01?
3. How to migrate my ESS and MSS apps (customized apps NWDI )from Portal 7.01 to 7.3
4. in future if we upgarde our backend to EHP 5 than what happens to WD java Application. i come to know that ESS application are totally built on WD ABAP for EHP5
Please help me out to determine the correct Business packages for my requirement.

BP's depends upon what all functionality you want to use. e.g If you are using ESS/MSS then you need to deploy BP's for ESS/MSS.

You should install latest version of BP's on NW 7.3 like for ESS/MSS latest version is 1.51.

You need to migrate all these customization manually as PAR files are not more supported for NW 7.3.

It depends upon you. If you want to use ESS/MSS for web dynpro ABAP then you need to install BP of ESS for web dynpro ABAP but if you don't want to use web dynpro then you can use same way as you are doing currently.

Business Packages in Portal

Hi,
How can we find out what applications are deployed in the portal?
By applciations we want to know what Business packages are installed since the customer applications are already known to us.
We can see the list of deployed applications in SDM but how can we differentiate the business packages or other applications, that do not come with standard portal installation, from the standard ones.

You can find the deatils abt all the BPs installed in the portal from the following URL: http://<host name>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo
The Business Package will start with Component Name BP_*.
Inside the portal you can find the installed components Under Portal Content -> Content Provide by SAP.

Empty iViews in PLM Business Packages (Enter Asset, Enter Project etc)

Hi All,
We are implementing SAP PLM Business Packages 50.3.1 in SAP EP 6.0 SP16 with a SAP 4.7 backend.
We have noticed that certain iViews do not seem to work correctly - they display no entry fields at all. For instance, in the Assets Business Package, the Asset Details Page contains a Choose Asset iView in which you can choose either Functional Location or Equipment. When choosing either of these, the Enter Asset iView should refresh and display the appropriate entry field. ie. either 'Enter Functional Location' or 'Enter Equipment'. Instead, it displays absolutely nothing (ie. the Enter Asset iView remains blank). This problem also occurs for projects in the Projects business package.
Has anybody seen and resolved this behaviour for the PLM business packages?
Any useful thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated and rewarded.

Thanks for the responses. Thanks to your input, I have solved the problem. Basically, we are working on copied versions of the pages and iViews (ie. copied into our custom folder in PCD). Our users do not have access to the original SAP iViews.
I noticed (after reading the documentation page 116 which you referenced), that for our copy of the component loader, the parameter Java_IView_Directory was still pointing to the standard SAP location, which our users have no access to. This explains why the iViews are blank. When I amend this parameter to point to our custom location, everything works!

MDM 3.0 Installation - Business Package - License

Back ground:
We have completed the MDM 3.0 installation and now wanted to do installation related with EP. (Step 11 of section 2.5.1 in Master Guide for MDM 3.00).
During the process, we get an message like: "However this business package is in 'Restricted Shipment' status with message 'License required'.
Question:
Is it mandatory to have such License or is any other method available to download the same (some note etc.)?

Hi,
you can access the download of the Business Package for MDM 3.0 60.1 here in SDN at https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/contentportfolio.sdn.
You must be signed in with your Service Marketplace user. If you hold the appropriate license, you will get a download link that will start the download.
If you do not hold the license or have not logged on with the Service Marketplace user id, you will see a 'License Required' instead.
In case you hold the required license and the link still does not show up, open a OSS message at XX-SER-RU with the problem description.

LaunchPad Iview for various Business Packages

Hi,
I have installed Business Package for Common Parts. In this I can see LaunchPad Iview. I then installed Business Package for Business Unit Analyst
I run the Analytics Iview which refers to LaunchPad Iview.
However it does not work. I refferred to the webdynpro application to which it was pointing.
This was webdynpro:java/sap.com/mss~lpa/com.sap.xss.fin.lpa.reportlaunchpad.ReportLaunchpadPcdApp/base
But I dont find this webdynpro application at all.
Do I have to install any particular component .

We are still encountering the same problem, and have logged a message with SAP. We have implemented single sign-on and increased the maximum possible jco connections, but this does not appear to have fixed it.

Modification of ABAP Web DynPro iViews delivered via Business Packages

Hello Everyone,
If this has been answered before, I apologize.
Is there any 'supported' way ( or 'unsupported' ) to modify the out of the box ABAP WebDynPro iViews which are delivered via some of the new Business Packages for ECC 6.0?
For example, I want to hide some fields on the 'Create Order' iView delivered in the Business Package for Internal Sale Representative..

These Business Packages are just iView definitions that point to normal Web Dynpro ABAP components/applications that reside on the backend ABAP system. They can be enhnaced like any other WDA application.

Problem with business packages ESS

Hi,
I have put in a EP6.0 SR1 a business packages ESS 50.4.
I have crated a systems SAP_R3_HumanResources, SAP_R3_Travel, SAP_R3_Cross and SAP_R3_Financials.
I asign the iView ESS to Rol Employee but when i go to Resum in the menu i get this error int the iView "Recording working times":
[Method connectToSAP(SAP_R3_Cross)] java.lang.Exception: R3_CONNECTION_FAILED
I have asigned the user to system SAP_R3_Cross.
The other parts of menu run good and i get data of system R/3.
Any idea with this error?

Hi,
You can remove the BP, Log on onto the portal as administrator
Go to Content Administration > Portal Content
Open the folder Portal Content > Content administrator-> portal content.
and also remove PCD objects and any par files.

ICSS - Internet Customer Self Service.Role customer has related ivews.That doesn't require IC webclient.
If you need interaction center ie customer support or call center there are two roles available for that.
Interaction center agen and interaction center administrator.

Package importing problem from 1 package to another package.

Hi All,
I have made to package, "forum" and "utility". DBhandler java file is in "utility" package and Forumhandler is in "forum" package.
I want to import DBhandler classes from "utility" package into "forum" package for this i write
"import utility.*" in forum package's Forumhandler java file. But it is giving error.
The error is -
forum/ForumHandler.java:13: cannot resolve symbol
symbol : class DBHandler
location: class forum.ForumHandler
DBHandler dbhand = new DBHandler();

is the class DBHandler declared a public class in utitlity? Does it start with the line
package utitility;
Is it in the directory:
%CLASSPATH%/utility/
Have you read the tutorials and done a search for packages on these forums?
