MDM - Shopping List Acess to Users

Hi,
Please help with the following situation:
User A - Catalog XPTO , with catalog- named-search AA
User B - Catalog XIOW, with catalog- named-search BB
User A, creates a Shopping List, called BTW that is shared.
User B sees the Shopping List BTW and the articles that are listed are not contained in his named-search.
In this situation, User B can't buy the itens of this Shopping List, as they are not part of their catalog BB.
How can we  cut the acess of these itens, for user B?
I mean, User B can't buy them, so there must be any error ou any way of not showing them... Do you know any?
Thanks in advance,
Maria

Hi Maria.
Catalog Search UI and the Shopping Lists functionality function separately as they are designed in such a way(Irrespective of named search provided to it). Since the other user has shared his shopping lists so it will be visible to the other users as well.
The named search functionality works as per the functionality only for the Search UI. you can ask SAP to provide this functionality as there is no configuration settings available to restrict it.
But still can you try the below workaround and see if you can restrict the items for the shared shoping lists item.
Login to the Console and the MDM repository-> Navigate to Admin Node -> Roles-> Select the appropriate role for the provided user(User B) -> Navigate to the tab "Tables and Fields"
You will find an entry for "Named Searches", In the constraints column, you can add the named search in the available list which you want to restrict. Save the changes.
Now launch the catalog for the User B and verify if you can able to see those records for that shopping lists shared by the user.

  • Individuall shopping lists for each User - SRM-MDM 3.0

    Hello everybody,
    I want to implement a SAP SRM-MDM scenario with SRM-MDM 3.0. The SRM-MDM 3.0 has the poissiblity to create shopping carts for every 'MDM User'. But that's not enough for our users.
    Is it possible to create different shopping lists for each user?
    I already use the setting: sl_user with the attribute SY-UNAME but it doesn't work

    @everybody: Thanks for your fast reply!
    @Girish: Yes, I think we have the same problem
    @Padhi: It is not a prictically solution to create every SAP SRM User (3.000) in the SAP SRM-MDM Catalog. In comparison to other catalog systems (e.g. heiler) this have to be a standard feature
    @Kanth: That's correct, you can activate the shopping list option for the MDM User. But the MDM User only defines the rights and masks. For the MDM it is not necessary to login with your SAP / SAP SRM Username.
    Note [1153525|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1kZSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1153525] describe the long-needed function in SRM-MDM. But it seems, that this feature only work in SRM-MDM 2.0.
    Maybe anybody know anything else about this problem... I'm thankful about every hint!

  • MDM Shopping Lists

    HI
    Our current MDM set up is allowing all SRM users to be logged into MDM as one user "User1". This enables all users to see each others shopping lists ammend and delete them.
    To get around this we have set up individual users in the MDM Server / repository
    and in SRM SPRO (call structure) the "username" parameter
    as SY-USR type SAP Field is set.
    Is there anything else that we need to do as with this set up because when we log onto MDM we get another log on screen into MDM ( even if we log into this screen the system does nothing)
    We know that uisng the templates in SRM is another option but this does not account for catalogue updates.
    Thanks you in adavnce for any help advise given.
    Regards
    Yogesh Mistry

    Hi,
    you should check that all the Users from the SRM are correctly created with the same username and
    the password is empty in the Console for this users!
    Also the SRM-MDM users has to have the Catalog User Role.
    Please check the catalog with direct URL call and not from the SRM. If this works, than the parameters in the SRM SPRO has to be checked or the ITS.

  • Shopping list in SRM-MDM catalog?

    Dear Experts,
    What is the use of shopping list in SRM-MDM catalog?
    I have created a new shopping list in the system. I have filled the name, description and other details in the new shopping list.
    When I select my shopping list, the button u2018Add to shopping list u2018is still disabled. How we can add new items to a newly created shopping list? My understanding is that a shopping list is created to include different shopping items  as favorite list?
    What is the function of the button u2018Share/Unshareu2019 ?
    Please, help me to understand the functionality of shopping list in SRM-MDM catalog 3.0?
    Thanks and regards,

    Shopping Lists
    You can use this function as a:
    Template for orders that are made regularly
    Search criterion
    Prerequisites
    Your User Interface (UI) Configuration Manager has given you shopping list authorization.
    A shopping list must have at least one item in it to serve as a search criterion.
    To display all items in a shopping list, the search criterion must be reset before the shopping list is selected.
    This is because the search UI treats the shopping list as a search criterion. Consequently, any other active search criterion reduces the items displayed to a subset of all the items in the shopping list.
    To display all shopping lists, including empty ones, on the Shopping List tab page, one of the following conditions must be met:
    No other search criterion has been entered
    The search has been reset
    Activities
    When a shopping list is selected as a search criterion, the system restricts the search by removing any items not included in the list from the search result.
    Items can be added or removed from shopping lists in the shopping cart preview.
    Note
    Depending on authorization, users can modify either their own shopping lists or those of others.
    This function provides search strategies for locating products, displaying product item details, and transferring items to procurement applications such as the cart. The Search User Interface (UI) can be configured to meet individual user requirements.
    Prerequisites
    The User Interface (UI) Configuration Manager is responsible for configuring the search UI.
    If you cannot access some of the functions and features listed below, check that your user has been correctly configured. For more information, see User-Specific Configuration: Product Procurement
    Features
    On the Search tab page:
    Keyword search
    Advanced Search
    Hierarchy (category) View
    Allows you to drilldown when searching. This view also displays product attributes, if they have been maintained.
    List View (for displaying search results)
    Displays results with images and a URL to item details
    Context View (for displaying search results)
    Navigation up and down the list is possible and item images are also available.
    In the List View and in the Context View, the following functions are available:
    Add To Cart
    Compare for price comparisons. For more information, see Compare Function
    Cart Preview
    On the Cart Preview tab page, the following functions are available:
    Transfer Items
    Delete
    Delete All
    Back to Search Result
    Add to Shopping List
    Recalculate
    Add to Shopping List
    Remove from Shopping List
    Current search parameters are displayed on the Search Criteria tab page.
    Shopping Lists can be maintained on the Shopping Lists tab page.

  • Shopping list in SRM MDM?

    Hi ,
    We are using shopping list in SRM MDM. But if user is creating a shopping list, other users are able to see exiting shopping list (which is created by others.). They are able to add the items to other shopping lists.
    My requirement is  "shopping list created by user A , should not be seen by user  B".
    There is some options available like share/unshare, but those are not working. Even though if we give unshare option also, it has seen by others.
    How we can achieve this functionality.
    Regards
    Venkatesh P

    Hello
    The Shopping Lists are stored for the MDM logon user defined in the call structure.
    As you should be using a fixed predefined user for the catalog in call structure all the SRM users that have access to this catalog will be able to create / display the same Shopping Lists.
    Verify note 1153525. As it says:
    To give every named user working with the SRM-MDM Catalog the possibility to store Shopping Lists individually, you need to route the user from the SAP backend to the SRM-MDM Catalog.
    In the external webservice definition for the catalog url, add the parameter 'sl_user' with the value 'SY-UNAME' (Type: SAP Field).
    I hope this helps.

  • Interactive PDF Shopping List

    Hi all!
    I'm trying to create a shopping guide for an arts festival and I'm trying to find out if I can create an interactive PDF that will allow users to click a checkbox next to the profile of each artist they're interested in, which will in turn populate a "shopping list" of artists that they can print out. I haven't played around too much to try to do this, but as I am a newbie any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,

    If your a PC user go back to the Main forum page and click on button captioned Acrobat LiveCycle Designer and locate appropriate forum
    what You need is to save files as FDF files that are loaded to a special Server Adobe has Then you can either extract the information or keep a empty copy of the Form and have it generate a pdf for each input.
    Under Macintosh go to advanced menu choose extend features in Reader. send an email to each (not more than 500) or upload to a website and have them download fill in save and email back to you only first 500 is allowed per each different Pdf created.
    Note if you have to go through the LiveCycle Route you may have to subscribe to a rather expensive server Aodobe uses for just this type of thing.

  • Exhaustive List of Default Users

    Can anyone tell me where I can locate an exhaustive list of default user ids for oracle 8 and 9i databases? We are going thru an audit and need to verify that all defaults users are locked and/or expired.

    Its not very clear, what do u mean when u say Default Users. U can get an exhaustive list of user with user_id using ALL_USERS or DBA_USERS.
    If u want to stop normal user acess, and want that only DBA users can acess the database for a certain period of time, then u can start the Database in RESTRICTED SESSION mode.
    If u want to know users by Roles granted to them, u can use DBA_ROLE_PRIVS view. Like, if u want to know users who are having DBA roles, u can check this:
    select * from DBA_ROLE_PRIVS where GRANTED_ROLE like '%DBA%';

  • IPhone Shopping List App

    I'm looking for a good reliable shopping list app for the iPhone. I've tried all the free apps and they are terrible, buggy little programs that are poorly designed and not very user friendly. It seems that most of the shopping lists I've found are only rated at 3 stars and have very few reviews associated with them. And of those reviews it seems a chunk of them have not even used the app. Any recommendations are welcome.
    Also a recommendation to Apple if you are reading, don't allow people to review an app if they have not actually downloaded it, this would eliminate a lot of the biased phony reviews.
    --Brian

    Hi Brian,
    Found you
    I looked into three: Shopping List; SplashShopper; and Shopper. I've provided the links because there seems to be two apps called Shopping List (one without the middle space) in the Apps Store.
    I wanted something that was flexible, easy to use, would grow with me, had support for the data on my Mac, and was reasonably priced.
    Initially SplashShopper seemed to fit the bill on all counts, but it's not cheap: $10 for the iPhone app plus $20 for the Mac client. It sounded like it would grow with me and be flexible. I downloaded the Mac client and I'm afraid was not impressed. It seemed slightly awkward to use and tried to do too many things (for what I wanted). The iPhone app seemed to be totally lacking in documentation (if anyone has a link for it I'd appreciate a copy) and thus couldn't tell what it was really like on the iPhone - videos of its operation (like the other two apps) would be useful. On top of that, $10 for the iPhone app is reasonable if it's the right one but $30 total to have a Mac client too was just too steep and thus, together with the other reasons, it got rejected.
    Shopping List and Shopper are $3.99 and $4.99 respectively. Their web sites give you a terrific idea of what the app will and will not do. I really liked the item photos in Shopper. But I also liked the talk of a web interface to your data on Shopping List (it's not there yet but we're told it's coming). Also, Shopping List comes with no preconceived ideas of what items you want to track, and Shopper comes with a list built-in, both apps can have their lists modified.
    I liked the idea in Shopping List that it can tell me the last time I bought something and the badge displays the number of items needing to be bought. Neither app seems to handle quantities very well, something that SplashShopper does, as well as shop aisle numbers.
    Therefore it came down to gut feeling about the two apps, and I chose Shopping List. I'm currently trying it out, I've entered nearly 70 items found in 4 shops. If it doesn't work out then I'll try Shopper - at their prices you can easily afford to take them for a ride.
    One last point (that I made in the other thread): I feel slightly uneasy about waving my iPhone around in a store when buying stuff, it would be nice to have a case with an attached wrist strap!
    I hope this helps but as always YMMV.

  • Shopping list with named searches

    Hi! I have created a shopping list under the name of a specific user and share the shopping list. Now, when I logged in as a different user and call up a catalog that does not contain the items in the shopping list (i.e. named searches excluded those item), I can still see the shared shopping list and I can still shop for the items in that shopping list. This is clearly not right? I can't seem to find an OSS note for that.
    Has anyone encountered such issue before?
    Cheers!
    SF

    Hi Dheeraj,
    I have already assigned the named searches in the definition of the web service. Wouldn't that be sufficient? Anyway, I did try what you suggested, create a role and assign the named search to that role and then assign this role to the user id. I still get the same problem, i.e. I was able to see the items in the shopping list that should not be included in that named search. The shopping list was previously shared by another user who has access to the items.

  • How to find out the list of all user's whose passwords are expired

    Hi
    i had tried to find out the list of all user's whose passwords are expired.
    i had written some jndi code by finding the max age and then find out the current time and subtracted this current time from max age using the following code
    "Attributes attbts=ctx.getAttributes("cn=pwdpolicy");
    String maxAge=(String)attbts.get("pwdMaxAge").get();
    Date Today = new Date();
    System.out.println("maxAge"+maxAge);
    long curTime=(Today.getTime())-Long.parseLong(maxAge)*1000;"
    and then parse it and create a string time as follows
    String time=year+month+day+hour+minute+second+"Z";
    where "year" "month" etc were parsed from curTime
    now i can get the list by using following code
    "String filterCriteria="(&(objectclass=person)(pwdChangedTime>="+time+")";
    NamingEnumeration results = ctx.search(baseDN,filterCriteria, sc); "
    but the current time which i am getting is the time of my system not the time of ldap server
    so my questions are following;
    1.Can there is any way by which i can get the tivole sever's system time.
    2.If there is no way then can you suggest any other way to find out the list of user's whose passwords are expired.
    please help me.
    Thanks.

    > I don't know how to get classes used by VA for this tab.
    I wouldn't make any development investments based on classes for the VA anymore...
    Considering that not only Salvatore himself, but also the JControl might decide for itself that the system needs a hard shutdown and restart.. a possibly better solution would be to use a redirect. If the message server does does not respond or does not find any DIs or not the one which your previous session state was for, then redirect to a page with a meaningfulll message (and apology on it.
    Just a thought,

    hi
    i found this thread to pull out a list of local users
    Retrieve all local user accounts information on remote computers (PowerShell)
    however, i need to filter out users who has not logged in for 3 months or around 90 days, how can i do further filtering?
    i understand dsquery has an -inactive <xweeks> , however i am doing it for local accounts

    $ErrorActionPreference = "silentlycontinue"
    $([ADSI]"WinNT://$env:COMPUTERNAME").Children | where {$_.SchemaClassName -eq 'user' -and $_.lastLogin -gt (Get-Date).AddDays(-90)} | ft name,lastlogin
    using the sample from the link extendend with the 90 days criteria, the erroraction preference surpresses the errors you get for accounts with no lastlogon value (guest being a typical one)

    Hi there,
    I have a requirement where i need to check the access permission of a user against a List or Library only using REST api from my remote salesforce app. [I already have access token and I am able to view list, add item etc..]
    Say for example, I have to send the list name and user name, and get the result as Read, Write, Contribute(Manage), None. I need to display what permission does that user have for that List.
    How do I achieve this. Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    For High and low bits, we can create a new SP.BasePermissions object to use like below:
    function success(data){
    var permissions = new SP.BasePermissions();
    permissions.set(SP.PermissionKind.manageLists);
    var hasPermission = permissions.hasPermissions(data.d.EffectiveBasePermissions.High, data.d.EffectiveBasePermissions.Low);
