MDM Syndication automatic error notification

I am currently helping to design workflows for my client and one of their requirements is that they have some sort of notification workflow when a syndication fails. So far, it is my understanding that there is no method to track syndication errors other than the syndication just won't go through. Is this accurate? Is there a way to perform this workflow. I am working with MDM 7.1 and we are using a PI adapter, however I am not sure of the version at this time.
Thanks

Hi Steven,
I am currently helping to design workflows for my client and one of their requirements is that they have some sort of notification workflow when a syndication fails. So far, it is my understanding that there is no method to track syndication errors other than the syndication just won't go through. Is this accurate? Is there a way to perform this workflow. Yes, you are correct. There is no robust mechanism to find out any Syndication errors. Foe ex, if its an automatic syndication, and there is some problems with the MDSS, the syndication wont happen, however there will be no error. Hence its difficult for setting any Email Notification for the same.
The main thing is if we are using Automatic Syndication, the export file is sent to the Ready Outbound folder. But it is not passed on to the Archives automatically as it does in Import. And again in Manual syndication anyways it not possible to trigger any notification on failure.Hence, as far as I know there is not much help on this.

  • Automatic Error Message in SAP PI 7.1

My scenario in SAP PI 7.1 is like this:
    1. If an XML message fails in validation of structure, that is the structure is not as per the message schema or any field contains data that is incorrect as per the business requirement, then SAP PI should not further process the message (i.e. reject the message or mark it as invalid)
    2. As soon as the message is marked invalid (as described in point 1), PI will have to automatically generate a error or a failure message containing reasons why the original message falied. The structure of automatic error message should be predefined in PI (e.g. a schema)
My question is, how to achieve the above two scenarios in SAP PI 7.1
Thanks a lot for your immediate reply

implement XML Validation concept,we do have a oppurtunity to validate XML document before picking up,it will check against correct structure.if any the data wrong you can show error at adapter engine level only,we can do this one IE level and AE level.
search in sdn ,there are many documents.

  • LV7.1 Strange behavior with Automatic Error Handling occuring when it shouldn't [LV 7.1 Pro on WinXP for Tablet PC's]

[LV 7.1 Pro on WinXP for Tablet PC's]
I recently let a rather large LV app of mine run in the development environment while I was out for a couple of days. Upon returning I found that the app had hung for ~22 hours waiting for an answer to an Automatic Error Handling (AEH) dialog proclaiming an Error 7 in New File without any indication of the VI hierarchy that called New File.  I set about ensuring that AEH dialogs would not pop up and have not been able to discover how I could have possibly received one in the first place.
    Subsequent investigation revealed:
Neither AEH option in Options>Block Diagrams were checked.
Network problems had occurred around the time that the app had hung.  All file paths are network paths when running in the development environment, so the cause of the error was most likely valid, even if the AEH dialog appearance wasn't.
My app has only one instance where the New File primitive is used by me. That subVI and all others above it in the hierarchy DO NOT have the AEH property enabled.  The error out cluster of New File in my subvi is wired.
My app has three instances where New File is called from a vi.lib vi (Open/Create/Replace File.vi, Open Config Data.vi, and Prompt Web Browser Path.vi), none of which have the AEH property enabled.  Nor does any of their calling VI's.  All three instances also have their error out cluster wired.
A utility to examine the AEH property of all VI's (with all top level and dynamic VI's loaded) in memory reported that only 1 of 308 vi's ( RGT Does File Exists.vi from the Report Generation Toolkit) had that property true.  That vi has no subVI's other than the File/Directory Info primitive and no calling VI's in common with any of the vi's that call New File, except a top level VI.
As long as 'Enable automatic error handling dialogs' remains unselected in options>block diagram, I am unable to get an AEH dialog for either the New File or File/Directory Info primitives in a test VI with AEH property enabled and their error out clusters unwired no matter what invalid path I pass to the functions.  As soon as the options>block diagram>Enable AEH dialogs' is selected, both primitives fire AEH dialogs with no error out wired and don't when wired. i.e. works as advertised.
In other words I can find no reason why I should have gotten the problem AEH dialog...
I cannot afford for this app to hang because of a network problem, other portions of the app that were running concurrently correctly handled the error and, had the AEH dialog not appeared, the app would have made corrections or shutdown in an orderly fashion.
    Any ideas?

    Very good.
Write Characters to File.vi>Open/Create/Replace File.vi>New File
New File throws the error.  Open/Create/Replace strips the hierarchy from the source of the error.  Write Characters passes it to the General Error Handler.  I never looked above O/C/R file in the hierarchy except for enable automatic error handling property.  The tip-off should have been to realize that O/C/R file was stripping the hierarchy from the error and look above that.
The real irony is that Write Characters was being used to log error cluster data to an error log file...
Save as... Copy without updating... the OEM 'Write Characters to File' is gone from this app.
    Thanx (a bunch)

  • Illustrator CS4 error notification: "Error Loading Plugins. PhotoshopImport.aip"

I am working on a Mac 10.10 Yosemite with Adobe Illustrator CS4 however every time I try to open Illustrator it brings up error notification: "Error Loading Plugins. PhotoshopImport.aip". I can't click on the OK button and the only thing I can do is force quit the application. How do I solve this problem so I can work on my files again?

I have found the solution in another forum that finally seems to have worked!
The last comment I haven't yet experienced as I quit photoshop and was still able to open illustrator without problems and without the help of photoshop afterwards.
But happy for now that this works.
OK, had the same issue, found a work around, not a fix.
    1     Force quit Illustrator.
    2     Start Photoshop CS4
    3     Start Illustrator CS4
4     when you get the alert popup, with Photoshop now open, it allows me to click on "don't show again", and click "OK"
    5     quit Photoshop
Now Illustrator should continue to work so long as it is open.
Illustrator will continue to freeze on start unless you 1st open Photoshop.

  • SRM MDM Catalog (Subscreen Error)

    Hi,
I am facing an issue with the SRM MDM catalog.
    We are currently implementing SRM-MDM catalog 1.0 SP1 Patch01 HF1.
Our MDM server version is MDM 5.5 SP5 Patch02 HF1.
The steps while creating a Shopping Cart are as follows:
    -     Log into SRM Shopping Screen.
    -     Select the SRM MDM Catalog
    -     Inside the SRM MDM catalog select an item and click on the shopping basket to add the item to the shopping cart.
    -     Once I click on the shopping basket we are getting the below error

  • Inbound Idoc error notification. Help needed

    Hi Gurus,
Sorry, maybe it's a silly question.
I have a requirement to send an email when occurs any kind of error at inbound processing. The dest. of this mail must be the postprocessing agent from partner profile (WE20) of the message.
I have standard and custom process codes.
I've followed notes 44416 and 11610 but it still doesn't works.
Somebody knows how can I achieve that?
    Thanks in advance,
    David Gimeno.

Thanks to all,  but it still don't works.
J&Y: this report is necessary to process error Idocs? As I understand, notifys an alert message if a max number of error idoc is reached.
    I've done the following things:
    - Define custom message type (WE81)
    - Bind message (custom) with Idoc type (standard) (WE82)
    - Define FM with message type (we57)
    - Define FM attributes (BD51)
    - Define Process. Code (WE42)
    - Define Partner profile with my custom Process Code.
I've tried to link my custom process code with an Standard Object (IDOCAPPL and IDOCPACKET) at BD67, but system brings me the message B1405 Application object type  is not planned .
I've defined all tasks at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/dc/6b81b943d711d1893e0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm as standard tasks, and I've assigned it to a Org. Structure.
Finally, I enter an Idoc with an error wich brings to Idoc status 51 but I have no error notification. (I've found at SWI1 but no work item is generated).
Does anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, or what else can I do?
    Thanks all in advance!!!!

  • Blackberry's automatic delivery notification encourages spam mail.

To anyone who is listening, please either disable the Blackberry's automatic delivery notification, or give us Blackberry users the option to change it to manual delivery notification requiring our approval before delivery notification is sent.
Spammers harvest the email addresses and the automatic delivery notification tells them that they sent spam to a good/valid address.
My wife and I both noticed that since we started using the Blackberry, the number of spam mail has progressively increased.  Today, I discovered why.  I noticed in the sent mail log, that the Blackberry is sending out delivery notification automatically each time an email is opened/read.  A lot of times, I can't figure out if something is junk until I open up the email.  That's when the Blackberry sends delivery notification.  Sure, the spammers request delivery notification, that's how they can confirm whether their junk mail reached the intended party.  And thus, they harvested a valid email address that they use for the next spam mail.  The Blackberry makes it too easy for the spammer to validate a good delivery email address, and for mail that's being forwarded from a "disposable address" to my real address, now the spammers get to harvest my real email address when the Blackberry includes it in their delivery notification.
So please, please disable the automatic delivery notification.  Let me decide who I will send delivery notification.
    Thank you in advance!

On BIS, I don't think there is a way; on BES your BES Admin can do this.

  • HR Self-Service Transactions - error notifications

In our HR system we are using Administrator Self Service, allowing staff to make changes to HR records for people they manage.
In quite a few cases, our central admin team are receiving notifications with subject lines like:
Application Error has occurred in your process Change Job and Terms performed on Bloggs, Mr Joseph
When opening the notification, the error message at the top of the page says a range of things, such as:
The changes were not applied because This transaction has failed because the employee's record or eligibility status has changed. Submit a new transaction.
Another user has updated this person's record. Please reject the transaction so the initiator can check whether the change is still valid for the updated record. It would seem that the cause of these is because between the HR Self Service transaction being submitted and the error notification going out, something has changed on the HR record in question.
Is there any way I can work out where that change is being made, or is that too hard?
I can see the HR Self Service Transaction via:
    SELECT   hat.creation_date hrss_tx_date

"This is an expected behavior. Since after first approval the object version number of contact's personal details has changed. Now when you try to approve second notification we will compare the OVN in transaction tables to the OVN in database (which got changed). Hence we get an object version mismatch and above error."However, I am still stuck trying to see what has changed. I need to find this so I can go to the functional people who don't understand why they are getting the error notifications, so say "Look, this has changed since the Self-Service transaction was submitted, hence the error".
Any advice would be much appreciated.

  • Error notification for process

    Hello
I have a pl sql process, and catch an exception in the code.
If the Process ready and is an exception thrown I get an success- instead of an error notification.
How I can activate the error notification after catching exception?
    thanks for any help
    markus

Markus - the error text you set for the process is displayed only if the process itself fails. If you handle errors within it, the process succeeds and you get the success message.
I'd be interested to hear what others are doing, but we have done this kind of thing:
    Create a hidden page item, e.g. P1_MESSAGE.
Set the value of that item from within your PL/SQL process, e.g:
    exception
      when others then
        :P1_MESSAGE := 'Error text here';
end;The set the success text to &P1_MESSAGE. (with the trailing full stop).
Does that do what you want?

I am testing the inbound error notification. How do you change an IDoc from work item. The work item only allows you to display the IDoc, not change it. Which trans to change IDOC for reprocessing?

Do you correct the IDOC tru WE19 (test tool)?

  • Error Notification message checksum content error in APEX 4.2

    Hi,
We are Getting "Error Notification message checksum content error" when somebody enters wrong password in one of our installations after upgrade to 4.2
    Installation -- OEL 5.5 --> Oracle 11g --> Apex 4.2 --> Weblogic 10.3.4
I understood from other threads, that problem is lying somewhere in apex 4.2 new feature (ajax wait count down), because i get below url in browser
    https://<url>/pex/fp=117:101:954676091282&notification_msg=Invalid%20Login%20Credentials%3Cdiv%20id%3D%22apex_login_throttle_div%22%3EPlease%20wait%20%26lt;span%20id%3D%22apex_login_throttle_sec%22%26gt;10%26lt;%2Fspan%26gt;%20seconds%20to%20login%20again.%3C%2Fdiv%3E/7179423A7E6DAB93CBFA46F23FBCF804/
However i have similar other installations, where i do see the correct error message(Incorrect Login Credentials, Please wait for <n> seconds).
Also i have seen that on other thread somebody giving solutions for similar error in Apache installation, but i couldn't find any for Weblogic installation.
    Please help me on this.

    Hi,
I just checked this on apex.oracle.com and can see both the 'Error Handling' 'sub tab' and the relevant region on the page with attributes for 'In-Line Error Notification Text' and 'Error Handling Function'. This is on the 'Edit Page' page in the builder (4000:4301). Is this the page you are on and are you still not able to see this?

Hi. The Workflow template WS12300026 is empty in the latest SAP version... Anyone that knows why? SAP delivers WS12300025 and WS12300026. The difference between the two is that with *26 the budget req. can be changed if rejected. Best regards, Eli-A.
