MDS in SOA11g

Question

Guys,
We want to deploy all out shared artifacts in MDS DB repository in production environment.
Can someone suggest my during development phase how should we proceed with MDS??
I wanted to understand how can we use MDS in our project..I gone through many blogs..what I undestand is..
In order to use MDS in a project.
1) create a folder called apps under(<Oracle_home>\jdeveloper\integration\seed ) in local machine. Under this apps folder put all the shared artifacts.
2) To use local SOA-MDS repository create a new MDS File Connection.
3) import your local FILE-MDS object to the remote DB-MDS. Then deploy our Soa Suite project.
My doubt is:
How exactly we use MDS while working in a project...
Let's say if two developers are working in a project each one will create own file based MDS.
there are chances where directory structure under apps folder used by first developer is different from second.
In this scenario when we move the FILE-MDS to DB-MDS, directory structure will be overwritten. How to avoid this conflict.
It will be great if someone can share the real time MDS uses/implementation steps.
