MDSYS Catalog Integrity

Oracle Spatial Team,
After an upgrade of 8.1.6 to 8.1.7.3 by our DBA (who is on leave)
I am seeing strange behaviour from the Oracle Spatial metadata tables.
I get situations where there exists a spatial index for an SDO_GEOMETRY
column but that the entry in SDO_INDEX_METADATA is missing. I then
simply execute a "DROP INDEX <name of geom index>" command which successfully
deletes the index and then re-create the spatial index which inserts a record
back into the SDO_INDEX_METADATA table.
I have also had situations where a SDO_FILTER query will only return the right answer
once the spatial index has been rebuilt!
Are there any utilities around that will validate the MDSYS metadata tables
and search all schemas for GEOM objects and spatial index tables?
regards
Simon

Hi Simon,
My guess is something might have gone wrong in the upgrade process, but I would have to talk to you DBA to see if anything unexpected happened during the upgrade.
I do recommend rebuilding any spatial index that does not have an entry in USER_SDO_INDEX_METADATA. Now that you are on 8.1.7.3, be sure to always use R-Tree indexes.
Hope this helps. Thanks.
Dan

    4. We have around 20 internal supplier catalogs .Now should we upload few of the supplier catalogs and then upload rest or can we upload all the suuplier catalogs at once through IMPORT MANAGER in MDM ???What are therestrictions in terms of the no of catalogs or catalog data that can be improted and mapped ???

    HI,
1.With SRM 7,0,can we use CCM oor MDM is the only option???
You can use any catalogs which support SAP OCI interface.
2.Is it better to have MDM as a seperate server and enable SRM MDM catalog content?
MDM Server(contents) and AS Java(for UI) are required. Please check the installation guide.
3.We have 2 punch out catalogs for 2 vendors. How to enable the punch out catalog links in SRM 7.0???What is the path for IMG config??
Same as SRM 5.0. Define External Web Services.
Yes. You can use Import Manager. No issues.
6.The backend master data such as Supplier/Porg etc.....how is that synchronised from SRM to SRM MDM catalog???Is it through some scheduled programs???
      MDM Extractor is available.
7.What is the use of PI/XI in enabling SRM MDM catalog??Why is it mandatory??
      Mainly for contents mapping.
    8. What are the allowed file types for cataog data upload in MDM???Like it was CSV in CCM...
Any. Even for DB interface is also supported. You see all options when you run import manager.
    9. Where can I find some sample catalog files for test upload?
Sample repository definition is delivered. You can manually create 1 entry by Data Manager.
10.What are the lastest SP for MDM available for integration with SRM 7.0??
You can find it SAP Service Marketplace. http://service.sap.com/swdc
    11. after price changes from supplier(thru negotiation),are these price changes to be updated manually for indiavidual items/products through MDM data manager or is there any way to automate this delta update for price in MDM???
You can use contract and contract items are transfered to Catalog.
12.Also maintaining catalog data in MDM for SRM procurement will be a seprate actibity just like maintaing catalog in CCM??
      Yes. Catalog is just Catalog.

  • External Catalog integration & maintenance in ISA.

    Hello experts,
Could any one of you tell me the process of external catalog integration & maintenace in CRM 4.0 ISA along with the process of configurations..
    Thanks in advance
    cheers

    hi,
SAP standard supports external catalog integration for B2B scenario, not for B2C scenario. For external catalog integation the product id of external system should match with CRM product master.External catalog integration is done through OCI(open catalog interface). For OCI u have to maintain setting in XCM of B2B.

  • Vendor and new catalog Integration

    Hi,
Please tell me, how a vendor is integrated in to the user organization structure (since both user and vendor organization structures are independent) and How a new catalog(link) is integrated into the SRM system?
    regards,
    George.

    Hi,
In the vendor org structure, vendor company has attributes defined for like BUK, CAT and all which like the company org structure and the vendor org structure in EBP ( PPOMA_BBP and PPOCV_BBP)

  • Catalog integration in MM (html - SAP-field mapping)

Hi Experts! When integrating Catalog with MM (ME21N and ME51N), the only customizable entry in the IMG is the call-structure. Anyone who knows the transaction codes  / tables for HTML-SAP-field mapping (OCI) for this scenario ?? (For PM/CS/PS-orders this is available, but I have not managed to find this for MM)...
    brgs ziggy

to pull Metadata from CMS repository into MM, you will have to configure the CMS Integrator and run that CMS Integrator, this you can do from the CMC
as Werner mentioned SAP BW Integrator is being added for next MM release
its not possible to import Metadata from Excel Sheet into MM, you will need a Integrator to do that, MM supports Integrator for CMS, Data Services, RDBMS, and there are few more Integrators that are provided by MITI (it requires a separate license)
I don't think it will be possible to mimic the impact and lineage

  • Supplier catalogs integration with Purchase Requisiton (ME51N) transaction

    Hi MM Gurus,
I was looking to integrate supplier catalogs (punch out) to ME51N transaction in ECC-EHP4. I see config node in SPRO under MM->Purchasing->Environment Data->Web Services: ID and Description.
    - I created catalog ID but Catalog button is not showing up in ME51N for catalog selection. What set up is required?
    - How can we restrict access to catalogs, is there any set up to assign to plants or assign to doc type / users etc?
Please share, if you have any experience with it?
    I appreciate your input.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

    Hi,
you don't need SRM for using a catalog in MM transactions ME51n, ME21n. You have to consider that you can use only one catalog. If you want to use more then one catalog you should use SRM. That's the design.
    Customizing:
      -> Purchasing
         -> Environment Data
-> Web Services: ID and Description
you can find more detailed information about the settings in Customizing of Supplier Relationship Management  (-> SRM Server -> Master Data -> Define External Web Services )
You can maintain more than one WEB Services, but you have to set the 'Default Indicator' for one of them, otherwise you will not get any Catalog to be displayed in ME51n/ME21n.

  • OCI Punchout Catalog integration in Webdynpro for Java

    Hi,
I am planning to call a external vendor catalog (OCI) from my webdynpro application and consume the values, Can some one help me on how to achieve this ? I am not using SRM. I need to pass the value to ERP system
    Thank,

    Hi Vinit
We're in the exact same situation today. Did you ever solve it? We're able to call the external catalog via OCI and would like to import the http post response containing the catalog items back into our own webdynpro java app. Would be great if you could share your solution.
BTW: we're not using and do not plan to use SRM
    Thanks and best regards

  • External product catalog integration with SAP CRM

    Hi Forum,
I want to integrate a third party Java based product catalog with SAP CRM.
Currently, ISA is being used as the front-end.The CRM has a product catalog which is being used.
In place of this I want to add an external product catalog.
This is for a B2C shopping website. The user will browse through the external catalog and the selected products should be added to the shopping basket of ISA.
I'm aware that the Open Catalog Interface (OCI) is used for this purpose in B2B using SRM server.
Is there a similar interface for B2C applications?
    Aditya Karajgi

    Hi Pratik,
I dont think you understood my question.
What I want to implement is something like Open Catalog Interface (OCI) which is used in B2B implementations.
The catalog will be created by an open source content management system.
Product categories will be created and maintained using this system.
Users will browse the catalog and select products.
These selected products will be added to the shopping basket in Webshop.
We dont want to get into the complexities of using JCo or IDocs for this.
There should be some interface which is similar to OCI for B2C applications.
Thanks and waiting for ur response.

  • B2c - MS SQL SERVER Catalog Integration

    Dear SAP,
As of now we are using ISA B2C application, which is connecting R3 system to download catalog data. Due to performance issues because of rfc, we need to integrate Catalog data which is in our SQL SERVER Database. Do you have any interfaces to connect MS SQL database also?
If it is not there, What are the ways that we have to connect backend (MS SQL SERVER Catalog data) which will result in less impact on presentation layer (JSP's and action classes)?
    Regards,
    Manjunath.R

I had to download the 64 bit  librfc32.dll from SAP software download center as outlined in note 413708.
Please note that the librfc32.dll  installed as part of SAP GUI is  32 bit. Hence, I was getting the BadImageFormat exception.

  • PM to SRM integration through OCI catalog

    Hi,
We have sucessfully set up the necessary settings in ECC6 and SRM for OCI catalog integration when in transaction IW31 (Create Order)
I can see in table EPRTRANS the PR number and when running programme BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER the PR is transfered to SRM.  When looking in transaction SLG1 I am getting an error message saying the Tax Code 00 does not exist. Check enteries

    Hi Yousif,
Why dont u save the search as a named search in MDM and then pass it onto the SRM MDM.
Save the records  as Named search in MDM Data Manager
    For eg:
    Named Search name -->> search1
Now while passing the parameters to the SRM MDM Catalog specify the Named Search in its url.
    http://J2EESERVER:PORTNO/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM?sap-locale=EN&HOOK_URL=&mask=&namedSearch=search1&username=Admin&password=PASSWORD&catalog=REPOSITORYNAME&server=MDMSERVERIPADDRESS&datalanguage=EN
After passing the named search in the hook url the you will be able to see only the search which was saved in Data Manager.
    Hope dis helps u

  • Warning upon transfer of quotation from external catalog to SRM

    Hello,
We have implemented a punch-out catalog integration between our catalog and the client's SRM solution. However, we are facing an issue at the last stage of the integration -
Upon transfer of the items from our catalog, SAP throws a warning message to the user - "Source of quotation was deleted in vendor system". This is not the case and we are able to link the quotations to the approved orders that we receive at a later point in time. However, the client is unhappy about the user experience and would like us to fix the warning issue. Any help that you can provide  in either solving this issue or directing us appropriately will be very helpful.
    Thanks in advance

  • External Catalogs of SRM 5.0 not working in SRM 7.0

    Hi all,
Iu2019m in the process of converting all SRM 5.0 punchout catalogs to SRM 7.0.
All catalogs are working fine in SRM 5.0 but not in SRM 7.0.
For one I got a problem autologgin into the vendor catalog page.
In SRM 5.0 we are using ITS (no portal). For SRM 7.0 we are using SAP-Portal.
Iu2019ve traced SRM 5.0 punchout and SRM 7.0 punchout:
    SRM50:
    strUserName=XXXXX&strUserPwd=XXXXX&strLiefNr=XXXXX&HOOK_URL=https%3A%2F%2FXXXXX.XXX.ads%3A8002%2Fsap%28cz1TSUQlM2FBTk9OJTNhYWJhaGFjaGlfU1JEXzAwJTNhZjF2UUpGTlZWa1FFUFZrcDRXcDk5eDEwdDBBSUNnSE01V3pXQkY5Sy1BVFQ%3D%29%2Fbc%2Fgui%2Fsap%2Fits%2Fbbpsc03%2F%3F%7EOkCode%3DADDI%26%7Etarget%3D_top%26%7Ecaller%3DCTLG%26%7Eclient%3D100%26%7Elanguage%3DDE%26%7EHTTP_CONTENT_CHARSET%3Dutf-8&OCI_VERSION=4.0&OPI_VERSION=1.0&returntarget=_top
    SRM70:
    sap-client=100&sap-language=D&strUserName=XXXXX&strUserPwd=XXXXX&strLiefNr=XXXXX&OCI_VERSION=4.0&OPI_VERSION=1.0&returntarget=_top&HOOK_URL=http%3A%2F%2FXXXXX.XXX.ads%3A8000%2Fsap%2Fsapsrm%2Finbound_hdlr%3FTARGET_URL%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252fvangogh%252eafg%252eads%253a50000%252firj%252fportal%253fNavigationTarget%253dpcd%253aportal_content%252fcom%252esap%252epct%252fspecialist%252fcom%252esap%252epct%252esrm%252esrm70%252fcom%252esap%252epct%252esrm%252ecore%252efl_core%252fcom%252esap%252epct%252esrm%252ecore%252efl_roles%252fcom%252esap%252epct%252esrm%252ecore%252ero_employeeselfservice%252ffl_goshopping%252fcom%252esap%252epct%252esrm%252ecore%252eiv_shop%2526NavMode%253d3%2526UsePost%253dTrue%2526SAPSRM_RESUME_ID%253dSAPSRM_OCI&CATALOG_URL=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.xxxdaten.de%2Fcommerceportal%2Focisrm_autologin.asp
I guess the differences in the punchout call is the reason for the failure in the autologin.
I thought OCI u2013 interface is standardized. Both punchouts are with OCI-Version 4.0, but the call is different!
Have I missed some settings? Is it possible to customize the punchout call e.g. to exclude the system added parameter "sap-client=100" because this is not used ins SRM50 punchout?
Or is it the task of the vendor to customize his system to the SRM 7.0 punchout logic?
Thanks for all of your inputs
    Regards
    Stefan

    All,
We seem into run into similar issues once we upgraded from SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0 Our catalog punchouts to ARIBA On-deman catalogs are not working. We have opened an OSS message with SAP so far none of the suggested options are working for us. ARIBA is also unable to help us.
We suspect our issue is failing within SAP and OCI is not writing any application logs (SLG1) etc, So it has been difficult to troubleshoot.
From the SRM Portal side, when we try to launch CATALOGS page in SRM 7.0, it fails right away with the following error
"Error connecting to Catalog; contact your System Administrator "
There are no errors anywhere on SRM box to investigate.
We are on SRM 7.0 Support pack level 6.  So Note 1429685 - Empty importing parameter in BADI BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH is part of support pack 6.
We have also applied the note 1405908 - Issues with 3rd Party catalog integration with SRM 7.0 as per SAP, still no resolution.
    Any suggestions !

  • Product catalog from mdm to crm isa

    HI MDM GURUS,
COULD ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME THE STEPS TO REPLICATE PRODUCT CATALOGS DIRECTLY FROM MDM TO ISA (INTERNET SALES APPLICATION)
    PRIYA

    Hello,
I wish the answer was simple and I get all the 10 points. But, I have lot more to add than just giving a report program name.
Usually the CRM E-Commerce accesses the MDM product catalog as an external catalog. It is not customary to export the Catalog content from SRM-MDM to CRM-ISA. Instead the MDM catalog is Web Enabled for use as an external catalog by CRM-ISA. In the SRM system, the report program
    /CCM/PE_START_REG_PUBLICATION
can be used to publish the catalog. Usually, this is scheduled as a background job to run periodically to publish the catalog.
The E-Commerce (CRM-ISA) has Open Catalog Interface (OCI) hooks available to do this. But this needs to be configured in the XCM to access such external catalogs.
Please read the contents in this link for a overview idea of [External Catalog Integration (via OCI)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/2f/86653fac7ab21ae10000000a114084/content.htm]
Also, start from [Service Market Place - SRM|http://service.sap.com/srm] and goto SRM-MDM Catalog to know more about the catalog and see the Export process for other possibilities.
