MDX Parser error

Hello,
While checking the MDX Parser connection in TR SM59, I get the following error...
Error occurred when starting the parser: Error opening an RFC connection.
Message no. BRAINOLAPAPI011
Diagnosis
Failed to start the MDX parser.
System response
Error opening an RFC connection.
Procedure
Check the Sys Log in Transaction SM21 and test the TCP-IP connection MDX_PARSER in Transaction SM59.
===================================
The same TCP/IP connection (with similar properties in working in other BW system). But giving error in the system where I am trying to write some MDX statement (TR MDXTEST). It goes to debug mode as soon as MDX statement is executed in MDXTEST.
Regards
Pankaj

Your RFCDestination is not correct. Please check it in SM59.
The program specified there may not be on the app server. Have you verified this already?

  • MDX Parser Error in Data Mining

    Hello Colleagues,
    I have created the Application Process Designer(APD) for ABC analysis. Here APD is saved and activated successfully. Now while executing, it fills the data to datatarget, but giving error "Error occurred in starting the PARSER.Error opening in RFC connection. Syntax error in MDX statement".
    In help, it says go to SM59 and test the connection of MDX parser. Now there testing is failing, but What I need to do to correct the connection?

  • MDX Parser: Error during allocate

    Hi, I'm trying to create some WebI reports over BW Queries, but when I try to refresh the WebI document, it throws an error that more less says "timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: ThSAPCMRV", I know that Note 1032461 is related, but unfortunately I don't know where to find the librfc32.dll by itself on SAP Support portal, the path defined in such note is no longer valid.
    I copied librfc32.dll from c:\windows\syswow64 to E:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64, and tried to run manually the mdxsvr with the line suggested on the note
    mdxsvr -amdxparser -g <host> -x <gateway> -t
    but get the error: This application has failed to start because LIBRFC32.DLL was not found
    I seems to be a problem with the adequate version of librfc32.dll (version on system32 is 6405.5.318.6424, while the one on syswow64 is 7200.1.39.6461
    The mdxpars.dll is version 7010.0.4300.27
    I am also aware of note 1434994, where it describes a required update on the BW 7.20 SP, the current version of mdxpars.dll is 7010.0.4300.27
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    I would suggest you open a case with support so that you can get the right DLL for your environment

  • MDX Parser RFC is not working

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error when I test connect the MDX Parser RFC destination.
    Logon -> Cancel
    Error Details -> connecton closed (no data)
    I have upgraded the latest mdxsvr.exe and mdxpars.dll in the kernel directory and also got the librfc32.dll in the kernel.  I got updated librfc32.dll in the registry also.  I checked various SAP notes, but none helped.
    The main problem was when starting MDX parser:
    ===============================
    Error occurred when starting the parser: connection closed (no data)
    Message no. BRAINOLAPAPI011
    Diagnosis
    Failed to start the MDX parser.
    System Response

    =================================
    Pls give any inputs on this.
    Thanks,
    Abdul

    this could be because the RFC destination host is not maintained in the hosts file on the application servers... check that you can reach the host and see if that fix your issue.

  • Error in remote call of destination MDX PARSER.

    Hi friends,
    creaed one req for importing appset into target system, while importing req (Operating systgem)  getting error message.

    what might be reason ?

    This is caused by RFC user being set as for a standard Client-Dependent Objects transports.

  • SAP integration kit - MDX parser does not exist

    Hi,
    While running a query via Web Intelligence, during the process where data should be retrieved, the error pops up that RFC destination MDX PARSER does not exist.
    The universe is built on an infoCube without intermediate BEx query.
    I know about the existence of note 1032461, but it didnu2019t get us further:
    -     Librfc32.dll (the one included during KIT installation) is at the right place.
    -     MDX BW Driver was included in transports.
    -      A RFC connection test via sm59 was positive.
    Anybody who had same error or having tips?
    All help would be highly appreciated since this should be fixed asap.
    Here some additional questions:
    1)     why program mdxsvr is listed in unix directory (visible via al11), and not on BO server site?
    2)     The librfc32.dll file included in the installation has a lower patch number then the patch number when downloading from sap marketplace.
    Is this important even when Patch Level is the same? So still necessary to change this file with version separately downloaded?
    3)     Is it necessary that MDX is added to the BW internet communication framework (transaction SICF  sap  bw  bex, Mime, xml, and also MDX necessary?)
    4)     Should the BW system be added to the broadcasting availability (spro)?
    5)     Could this indicate a problem with the java connector?
    6)     We created a RFC connection following the advice about BO-BW connection. But, is there need of an additional connection called u2018MDX Parseru2019. If yes, where do I find info how-to?
    Here the full error:
    A database error occured. • APD failure due to MDX Parser starting issue

    Hello,
    As part of BW on HANA migration, we have recently migrated Dev system to HANA database and during testing we have issue for one of the APD's
    which when triggered failed with the below error messages: Error occurred when starting the parser:timeout during allocate / CPIC- CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' Syntax error in MDX statement Termination: Error when executing the query Processing was canceled And the RFC connection for MDX PARSER was also failing. Subsequently, basis implemented the SAP Note 1032461 - MDX parser does not start. Which resolved the issue with the RFC connection. However, the APD is still failing. The error message we get is as below for the same: Error occurred when starting the parser: Function RRTS_PARSE_MDX is not available Syntax error in MDX statement Termination: Error when executing the query Processing was canceled. Request your help on the same.
    Most of the SDN forums on this topic advised on the SAP Note 1032461. However, despite implementing the same note our basis team couldn't succeed in resolving the issue. Thank you!

    Hi Meduru Avinash,
    As you rightly told, most of the time note 1032461 is referred to solve this issue.
    Some where I have read that we need to refer 638701 also,
    like adding gw/cpic_timeout in your system, if it is not available.

  • MDX parser program name

    Hi
    I am getting connection error in RFC Destination MDX PARSER. Error is that the program does not exit in the system. Can you please tell what does this program contain or how to find this program.
    Regards
    Lalit K Tyagi

    Why the program name should be same as the class name
    in which main is declared.
    Eg:
    class Test
    public static void main(String args[])
    System.out.println("Hello World");
    program name: Test.java // Why so.In your case, since the class is not public, I figure you could name it to something else too, like Untest.java. You would need the actual class name only while executing - java Test

    Pierre,
    Depending on the object "myLastFile", the method openDlg might not even exist (if the myLastFile object is not a File object, for instance). And I do not see any need for the myLastFile anyhow, as you are presenting a dialog to select a file to open. I recommend using the global ChooseFile( ) method instead. This will give you a filename as string in full path notation, or null when no file was selected in the dialog. I am not sure what your ExtendScript documentation states about the return value for ChooseFile, but if that differs from what I am telling you here, the documentation is wrong. So, if you replace the first lines of your code with the following it should work:
    function openXMLFile ( ) {
        var filename = ChooseFile ( "Choose XML file ...", "", "*.xml", Constants.FV_ChooseSelect );
    While writing this, I see that Russ has already given you the same advice. Use the symbolic constant value I indicated to use the ChooseFile dialog to select a single file (it can also be used to select a directory or open a file - but you want to control the opening process yourself). Note that this method allows you to set a start directory for the dialog (second parameter). The ESTK autocompletion also gives you a fifth parameter "helplink" which is undocumented and can safely be ignored.
    Good luck
    Jang
