ME 5.2 connection with two ECC systems

Hi Sergiy/Experts,
Need to connect ME 5.2 system with two ECC & SCM systems for a scenario. Is it possible to connect?
During SAPMEINT standard interface we get connection credentials point for only one ECC system.
How I can meet the scenario for ECC system?
will appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Yes, it is possible. See my answer here:
http://scn.sap.com/message/14408145#14408145
There is a design limitation: plants must be unique across the different ERPs connected to the same SAPMEINT.

Sergiy

  • PO No range when we ink two SRM system with One ECC system

    Hello Experts,
We have a client requirement to link Two SRM Systems with One ECC system.
In this case what number range we need to maintain in both SRM systems for PO.
-The number range of ECC PO should get update whenver the PO is transferred from any of the two SRM system.
    -We have Extended classic scenario.
-Also PO Doc type is going to be same.
Can we handle this by increasing the buffer of the number range in one of the SRM system?
    Any idea...pls help urgently.
    Best Regards,
    Anil

    Hello Anil,
Being in Extended Classic Scenario (leading PO being in SRM, R/3 PO number range is concidered as external because PO number is given by SRM), the only solution for you is to:
1- give same number range interval for PO (internal in SRM system 1 and SRM system 2, external number range in R/3), e.g. 3100000000 - 3199999999
2- in SRM system 2, fill in current number with (for example) 3159999999 and let empty (or current value) in SRM system 1
3- assign, in each system for your concerned transaction type, number range as internal in SRM and external in R/3.
In this way, you will avoid overlaping in R/3 between PO numbers coming from SRM system 1 and SRM system 2
    Regards.

I created 2 distribution model (BD64), one from SAP BW system and other from SAP BI system with message types RSRQST, RSINFO, RSSEND
    Thank you very much!

    Hi Holger.
this issue is related to the RFC but not the one which is communicating from BI to R/3 rather the one which is communicating from R/3 to BI follow these steps.
    1. check your BI system logical name from the myself source system.
    2. go the ECC and run the transaction sm59
    3. go the ABAP Connection folder and search for your RFC which name would be by default as per your BI logical system name.
    4. double click it and edit it now check whether the Target hostname or ip is OK.
    5. In the logon tab check the client number User and password settings.
Save it and test it with both Connection Test and Remote Logon.
if every thing work fine i hope your problem will be solved.
    kind regards,
    Zeeshan

  • 2 system PLM setup question - Connecting to another ECC system for master data

I have been tasked with setting up the latest version of PLM in our environment.  We have a free standing PLM Server (ECC 6.0 EHP7, SP2 with PLMWUI 747, SP3) that we would like to connect to another ECC system (ECC 6.0 EHP5, SP4 with PLMWUI 701, SP4) for its master data.  In trolling around google and the marketplace, there isn't any setup guide or anything that really explains what the options are.  Does anyone know what the possible setup options are or even better provide links to documents that show how to set this up?  Can PLM be setup in the way that we want it to be?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Steve,
Unfortunately there isn't a lot of PLM documentation available.
I'm not sure I really understand what you need, but in essence, the PLM framework was developed using the SPI technology. That is, the Service Provider Infrastructure, which is a technology to split the UI from the business logic behind it. The idea is, in the end, you can have one single DB, connected to multiple systems and different types of UIs. (you can find some more details here: http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SPI/Home)
As far as I know, you have to do some customization in SPRO and maintain views /PLMB/V_RFC_DEST and /PLMB/V_RFC_LSYS. Everything else is done by the PLM framework via RFC connections.
    Hope this helps you...

  • 'SPROXY' - Multiple PI Systems connected to one ECC System for ABAP Proxies

    Dear Experts
I am currently facing an issue when I want to connected multiple PI instances to one ECC client for
    ABAP Proxy purposes.
In transaction 'SPROXY', in the Enterprise Service Brower, only one PI instance is shown and accessable.
Can this setting be changed to allow multiple PI systems in this Enterprise Service Browser?
    Thanks for your ideas.

  • Connect two ECC systems with one SAP CRM 7.0

    Hi Gurus!
I have to do a customizing for connect two ECC 6.0 and one SAP CRM 7.0, only I need the organizational structure from both systems and they need update when the structure from CRM has changes. The business partner goes to ECCs system by PI interfaces.
Both organization models are different, so I have to maintain and update depending the changes in the business.
But I don't know if this is possible, I don't know if we can do this by Middleware, ALE or PI.
Can you please, give your oppinion about this topic?
    Best regards,

    Hi Eugenia,
Please see note 1084315 which descriibes the the multiple backend scenario.
    This should be relevant here.

  • Connecting to Multiple ECC systems via one Gateway system(Dynamic System Selection)

    Hi Experts,
We have multiple ECC systems and one Gateway server. We want to connect to these different ECC systems using one GW system.
I have created System Aliases for these ECC system in GW system. For a service, i added 2 system aliases.
Now we are looking for the solution where UI can provide the system alias (it wants to connect) as a parameter while calling oData Service.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Rohit

    Hi Rohit,
we have a similar scenario where we have two system aliases for one service. Both aliases point to the same system, but different clients; it should not make a difference though, having different systems. The feature you are looking for is Multiple Origin Composition (MOC).
There are a couple of things you have to consider:
in the SEGW the entity to be called has to be marked as addressable
the URI of the service needs to include the tag for MOC (;mo) --> http://sapgw.domain.org:8000/sap/opu/odata/sap/ZSOME_SERVICE;mo/entityset
Without the ;mo the call will be routed to your default alias. The ;mo will route the call to both systems. Using MOC will generate an additional key property into your entities --> SAP__ORIGIN. The property is the alias. If you want to route to a specific system you have to provide the SAP__ORIGIN like providing normal key properties in your requests.
    This will look like this:
    <content type="application/xml">
      <m:properties xmlns:m="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices/metadata" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices">
        <d:SAP__Origin>SOME_ALIAS</d:SAP__Origin>
        <d:Identifier>SOME_IDENTIFIER</d:Identifier>
        <d:Doublet />
      </m:properties>
    </content>
The original Entity only consists of the key property "Identifier" and the property "Doublet". "SAP__ORIGN" is added via the ;mo.
    Hope it helped...

  • BW system connecting to multiple ECC systems

    Hi,
I am new to BW world & has a question to Gurus
    1. Can I connecte a single BW system to source from multiple ECC systems (activley) with out any technical issues ? I am assuming that the multiple ECC systems are pretty much mirror images.
    2. If possible what are the areas ( at a high level) I need to double check to make this happen ?
    Thanks
    Hari

    Hi Hari,
Yes, you can connect multiple ECC systems to one BI system in one of my project we had more than 20 ECC systems connected to BI Production system.
How this works is because source system and BI system has got different provisions for that,
    1) For connecting different systems you simply need to create RFC connection between them. After the RFC is formed you can load data from any of the systems.
How BI system differentiate similar data coming from these systems?
There is a field called 0SOURCE SYSTEM which is used as Compounding field, or primary key field where ever you have data loading from multiple systems, this field basically contains the 3 char source system ID and is used to differentiate records coming from different source system.
How delta is managed in this scenario?
In source system for each data source, a new delta queue is maintained for each target system.
    Regards,
    Durgesh.

    Hi Justin,
SSO logon not possible; logon tickets not activated on the server
Please check your WAS Profile Parameters in RZ11:
For enabled SSO,WAS should have the possibility to create and accept SSO-Tickets. For that the Profile Parameters should be:
    login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
    login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

  • Zens - connectivity with car audio systems

Hi - got an odd, obscure question. I have an Audi fitted with the so-called 'Audi Music Interface'. As well as the ubiquitous Ipod connector, this one comes with a mini-USB port to which I have successfully connected a Zen X-fi 32GB and a 2GB Samsung YP-K3. However, when I try to connect my 4GB Zen V+ I get an 'unable to connect' message from the Audi.
The music on all three is from the same source (same file formats etc) so what can be thedifference between the two Zens that prevents one of them from being recognised by the unit's I have usedWMP to transfer the music to all threeMP3 players.
Another oddity - while I'm at it - is that the X-fi doesn't like being undocked from the car and will frequently lock up and require a reset. It will resume working without a problem if left connected iin place.
    Any ideas anyone
    Paul

    OneMoreOne wrote:
Yeh - tried that. Trouble is, it doesn't last. I frequently have to reset the device and, every two or three days, it hangs so completely, I can only get it going again by going into Recovery mode and doing a 'clean up'. This works but not for long.
I've also noticed that the Zen doesn't appear to charge while connected th the car system. The little green battery indicator suggests that it is charging but after 48 hours in the car, the Zen won't start and has to be recharged via my computer
If that player is under warranty I would return it. If not use another method to connect to the car stereo. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the system you have to advise on that. As for the charging I have a USB port on mine & the same thing occurs as it appears to dock & charge except it does not. That I would say has to do with the player itself not that it is a defect of the player. For instance all wall chargers in particular the ones you can plug a usb cord into will not charge a Creative player. I know because I have tried with several different players I own. The fact your stereo is Ipod ready tells me that very well may be why it does not perform as you would expect since the 2 devices are very diiferent.Wish I could be of more help.

  • How can I create a mobile application to connect with my php system

II have few question to ask all expert here :
    1. Im using Netbeans IDE, how can I compile the .java file to .jar ?
    2. Currently, I have created a point of sales application using php and I hope to create a Mobile application to connect with tis system. So, anyone can let me know what I need to start ?
    3. Im using postgresql database, anyone here know how to connect with mobile application?

!. When you build java application in NetBeans (standard one) you just click 'Build' or 'Clean and Build' and your jar file is waiting for you inside 'dist' directory of your project
    2. Connecting MIDP application to the server running PHP scripts is not a problem, just connect using simple HTTP with GET or POST and you are done, google on it!
    3. You can connect to the database using some kind of PHP/JSP/ASP or whatever application you want and then using method from point 2 to send and retrive values, you can do it with web services as well, possibilities are endless
    Hope this helps!
