Me and my mom use the same apple account for our iphones but everytime she downloads an app it gets downloaded to my phone how do i stop that?

Start iTunes on your PC. If your iPhone doesn't appear under devices, connect your iPhone to the PC using the USB cable. Click on the name of your iPhone under devices. Click on the Apps tab at the top of the screen. Scroll down a bit and uncheck the box next to "Automatically sync new apps". Click the Apply button at the bottom of the screen. If the sync process doesn't automatically start, manually initiate a sync.

Remember - if you bought any apps with another ID you cannot update them with a different ID.
Try changing the ID in the App Store. Tap on Featured - swipe to the bottom of the screen - tap on the ID in the bottom left corner - and see if you can change it that way.
If that doesn't work, sign out of your account altogether, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
I guess I should ask - what ID is it coming up with and why is it coming up with that ID?

I have downloaded and installed the 10.6.8 V1.1 Combo pack but this didn't fix the problem.

same problem for me. I am using abe edition 3 as I don't think 4 can be used with kobo. Book has been downloaded to kobo but it can't be read as it is not authorised.Help please

2 iphones, registered to same apple account but the second phone was orginially set up on a different computer.Is there any way I can sync the second phone to the orginial computer so as to have both phones syncing the same?

Have two 4s's registered under the same apple account. The 1st phone was set up on the computer perfect. The second phone was set up by somebody who didn't know what they were doing and set this second phone up using the same apple id but onto a laptop. How do I know get the second phone to work from the computer and sync the two phones so they are the same?

Tap to sign out and sign in again.

IPad and iTunes on computer have same iTunes account but no Sync

iTunes thinks that my iPad and computer are using different iTunes accounts when they are the same.
I have double checked in Setting->Itunes Store on iPad.
When I try and sync any content iTunes says it will erase all content on the iPad and reload from iTunes on computer.
The kids will kill me if I do this as all their game progress will be deleted.
Or is this message misleading? will iTunes realise they are actually the same account if I go ahead?
I recently had to rebuilt my computer and re-install iTunes, but surely this should make any difference to iTunes?
Does anyone have any experience with this?

If you have a credit card on your account then it has to be a valid card - do you get the 'none' option on your account so that you can remove the card, or is there an error show anywhere on the card payment details screen so that you can correc it ?
As long as you are buying content for yourself and not trying to gift, then your balance should be automatically used for its purchase.

Have your wife log in to her user account on the laptop. Launch iTunes, then connect her phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sync. That should put back all apps and media. Since you already upgraded her to iOS 5 she'll have to manually enter all her settings and preferences, and organize her home screens.

Thanks for your advice, I went to the apple shop today for a face to face meeting with a tech and he checked everything and could not figure out why I was having this problem so we decided to give up on that account and create a whole new one for me using a different email address.
Now I can download apps on both my iPhone and ipad2.
If anyone is reading this in Brisbane Australia go to the Chermside apple shop and ask for Wade. He was fantastic!
