My notes are duplicated, i have to delete my emails individually on all devices so whenever i put my phone on, all the emails i have deleted at work re-appear on my phone and again the same thing happens on my Macbook pro. I seem to spend all my time deleting emails 3 times.
Is there something simple in the set up of these that i am missing?

  • Macbook will not send SMS to some contacts

I have an iPhone 6 and have synced it with my iPad Mini and my Macbook Pro 2012. I have no troubles with SMS or iMessage on my iPad or my phone but, for some reason, my macbook will not send messages to a select few SMS contacts.

I realize my Macbook cannot send any SMS on its own nor can the iPad. That should be common sense for everyone by now. I have that feature but it is on and off for one specific contact and I just can't figure out how to fix it. could it be on their end?

  • TS3899 I am receiving emails but my phone will not send messages.  It says my password is incorrect but it doesn't allow me to enter it.  Any ideas?

My phone will receive emails but it will not send messages.  It says my password is incorrect but doesn't allow me an opportunity to enter it again.  Any thoughts?

Under settings>mail, contacts and calendars if you click on the account... then the account name again on the next page.... then click outgoing mail server... then click under the words primary server... here is where you can enter your password... it's most likely missing or incorrect.
    good luck

  • Multiple hotmail accounts but one will not send mails and gives no error messages

I have four hotmail accounts on my iPad (me, kids, wife) and we have all been using them fine however, my wife's hotmail account will not send mails.  I get no error messages at all for this to explain why, it just doesn't reach the intended recipient and does not turn up in the sent mail folder.
I have deleted the account and re installed using a number of the choices including other outlook and even tried yahooing no change.
    Can anyone assist.
I am on the latest iOS
    Thanks

This problem in Mail is usually caused by some Launch Services cache or preferences corruption that affects the built-in spell checker. The following article describes how to manually reset Launch Services — the notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved:
    Resetting Launch Services
If you prefer using a cache cleaning utility instead of following the manual procedure described in the previous article, take a look at this other article for general troubleshooting and cache-cleaning procedures. Actually, you should also verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described there:
Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption
The most appropriate utility for this particular problem probably is Tiger Cache Cleaner, but you may also want to consider other utilities, such as OnyX, or Cache Out X, which are free. Whatever utility you choose, be sure to read this first:
Side effects of System cache cleaning
As an example, this is how you should proceed with OnyX:
    1. Quit all applications.
    2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
    3. Go to Maintenance > Reset and check LaunchServices database.
    4. Un-check any other pre-checked options.
    5. Click the Execute button.
    6. Restart the computer.

  • IPhone 4s:  forwarded emails drop attachments or will not send

For about four weeks I've had spotty occurrences where a forwarded message from an outlook account on my iPhone 4s will either drop the attachment or report that it is unable to send the message. This is now a constant behavior. I havent noticed any pattern with regard to the type of attachment (eg Word, PDF). This morning an 82k Word file caused the behavior. The most remarkable behavior occurred this weekend when 2 messages with attachments got in a loop and attempted to send (eg stayed in my Outbox) for three days. I was finally able to interrupt the loop, hit the edit button, and delete the outbound messages.
I'm on verizon running 5.0.1. Verizon told me to go to the apple store. The apple store told me to go to Verizon. Sweet.
I have not verified the behavior with other email accounts (hotmail, gmail).

  • When adding an email account my ipone will not accept my password

I am having trouble adding an email account to my phone.  I had to get a new one and restore it to the last backup.  However it will not take my password which i know is correct because I can sign in via the internet.  Is there a trick or someway to solve this?

Which email provider are you using?   If it's google, make sure you don't have 2-step verification set on your account.

I don't have any problem with my Google Apps email account, so far. Use complete email address as your user-name like [email protected]
See if it works, and reply.

  • I receive emails but my ipad will not send emails

I receive emails on my ipad 3 but I cannot send them

If you are getting any error messages - it would be helpful to know what they are. Have you checked all of the settings for the email account?
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

  • Using Outlook for Mac; emails and calendar announcements will not send--error message: "the server does not support secure connections" Help?

Am using Outlook calendar for Mac--needed for client connection. Invites will not go out. Error message: "server does not support secure connections." Resolution?

I have done a similar set of things and no results.
This is really odd, Mac Mail works other emasil clients work, just not Outlook.
The only event I can tie it back to is the outage a couple of weeks ago when AppleID's weren't working for a perdion of time.  I ended up having to reset mine.
Is it feasible a local certificate got corrupted at the same or, oddly, that the SMTP servers don't have the updated password?
What's odd is that I no matter how much i Google, i can't find anyone else who has this problem, other than here?

  • My emails on my mac and macbook will not send but the connection doctor confirms connection to the server.  Any ideas???  Thank you

I am unable to send emails on my imac and macbook.  They go straight to my outbox.  The connection doctor comes up with green lights.  Any ideas?  Hopeing someone out there can help me - thank you.

EA68, who is your broadband provider, if it is Sky then they have recently merged with Yahoo, and there have been similar problems with people who use Mail to access their emails.
If this is the case you will need to remove your SKY account from Mail and then set it up again.
Make sure you clear your inbox, and back up any important emails you have.
IN MAIL go to prefrences and accounts. Highlight SKY account and select the MINUS or delete sign.
Now select the PLUS or add button and type in your sky email address, and then your sky password. Follow on screen instructions, and your emails should then work.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • I have 2 email accounts but gmail will only send through the bt account and i need it to send through gmail? help!

My gmail account only sends emails through bt account and dont want it to ? help

You may have to use a second web browser & login
instead of mail client software, for the gmail account.
Check Google mail support for ways to set up POP
or other Mail settings that may work with your ISP.

  • My phone is freaking out, constantly reloading email, closing apps, and will not send messages.

For the past day and a half, my phone has been randomly closing my apps, taking forever to send messages and receiving only some of  the incoming messages.  In addition, my synced email is constantly disconnecting and then reloading my mail.  What is happening, and how do I fix this?

make sure it's turned on in settings
and make sure you are using the correct appleID in settings->store

  • Email is received but will not send?

On iPad 2, receving email is no problem using both cmcast and gmail, but nothing ever goes out.  Doesn't even seem to be an effort. Using wi-fi system both at home and at school.  Any ideas?

You need to configure outgoing mail server.

  • Mail will not send from iPhone on .Mac Account!

This is weird. From my .Mac account when I try to send an email message, I get the "Cannot Access Outgoing Mail Server", whereas if I set up a Gmail account on the same phone, it sends just fine.
I've deleted and re-created the account, restored, updated, software, and all the above again, been to the Genius Bar -- yet remain stymied. Is there some simple solution I've overlooked?

Your problem is with Cox and Cox not having an authenticated SMTP server.
Not many ISPs provide an authenticated SMTP server and I'm not sure why - especially with laptops and devices such as the iPhone so popular.
I'm a Time Warner/RoadRunner customer for cable and internet access and I quit using my RR email account several years ago for this very reason. I switched to using my .Mac account as my primary personal email account which has an authenticated SMTP server. I'm able to send messages with the account regardless the internet service provider used for internet access. My business POP account also has an authenticated SMTP server and no problems sending with this account either - via a number of different Wi-Fi connections and EDGE.
I suggest seriously considering switching to another email account. A Gmail account is free, can be accessed as a POP or IMAP account with the email client on your computer as well as with the iPhone's email client, has a good spam filter at the incoming mail server, and has an authenticated SMTP server.
If you ever move or decide to change your ISP from Cox to a different ISP, your email account and address will not need to change. You can access and send messages with a Gmail account with any ISP - the same with a .Mac account. And you'll have much more server storage space than Cox provides.
