ME Error 2206 & 2210 on Compaq dc5800

When I reboot the system, two error messages occur as below:
2210 Parameter Frame Error
ME BIOS Extension module execution has halted. Update BIOS or management engine firmware if problem persists.
2206-End of POST HECI Failure system halted. Power cycle the system to reboot.
I have also updated the BIOS v01.59. Previous version was v01.04
Kindly suggest.

Did you try resetting the CMOS?
Also, have you tested your memory to make sure all modules are working?

    Dear sir,
we have facing a problem like in intial display sowing eror microcode update error 1801 in hp compaq dc5800 sff.
    Please find the resulation.

    Hi:
Did you install a different processor than the one that came with the PC?
If so, what processor did you install?
A microcode error means there is an unsupported processor installed or you need to install a microcode update to allow for support of the processor you installed if it can be supported in your dc5800.

Any suggestions so i can use my itunes library again?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

    That is correct.
The PC only needs the coin cell battery when there is no power at all to the PC.
I don't want to scare you, but it does happen.
I would at least do a preliminary study of the holder to see how the battery comes out.
That way you don't go in unprepared if you need to change the battery in a hurry.
I have never broken one thus far, but I have read other member's posts where they have.

  • No sound output on installing a hdmi support graphics card on HP Compaq dc5800 Small Form Factor

when i inserted a HDMI support graphics card on g-force nvidia on my HP Compaq dc5800 Small Form Factor no audio output was availabe i need a support for this problem

You will have to switch the sound Playback from Speakers to the Digital Audio output.
Disconnect the speakers from the default output at the rear of your PC.  Sound will be output through the HDMI cable to the device it is connected to if the video device has HDMI sound capability.  If you have it connected to an HDTV it should not be an issue. All you will have to do is use the TV's menu to accept the computer input instead of cable.

  • Compaq DC5800 - WILL NOT BOOT - 2 Beeps

Hello,I got a computer here that will not boot. Sometimes we can get it to work but most of the time it will just beep twice and pause then repeat over 5 times. Fans start and spin for a second before turning off and the PC starts beeping. When it does work the fans are completely fine. I ended up taking the heatsink off and applying brand new thermal paste onto the cpu. It worked straight after that for a while but now it's doing the beeping thing again. I've looked online for an answer but could not find any. There does not appear to be any damage to the mother board. The heat sink does not have any broken screws and is seated nicely. I attempted removing each ram stick from each slot and testing that as well. Still nothing. Not sure what it is. Is it possible the fan is the issue? It still spins every single time I attempt to turn it on. Please assist. Thank you.

Hi: Please see the troubleshooting guide, Appendix A, starting on page 57 for the list of beep codes and recommended troubleshooting steps. http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=3658081&docId=emr_na-c01363877&docLocale=en_US Since it appears you have tried the steps listed in the manual, I would say the problem is unfixable without replacing parts. I'd buy a refurbished, working dc5800 before trying to fix yours.

  • Hp compaq dc5800 Microtower

    Hi,
I have this computer and when I switch it on there are 4 beeps, a pause, 4 beeps, and so on. I have searched on the internet for this and have found several different opinions on what the problem might be. But most pointing at either the motherboard or the power supply.
I have tried a couple of the 'fixes' for the problem but nothing has worked for me.
Any advice on what the actual problem could be and if I could fix it without sending it off would be great.
    Thanks
    Leigh

The only spare power supply I have available at the moment is a 20pin, where the one that might be at fault and the mother board are both 24 pin.
The 20 pin fits into the slot but there are 4 left over. Is it OK to use the older 20 pin power supply?
I have searched the internet and found people saying both it should be OK to just plug in and others saying to get a 20-24 pin converter or even just get a new 24 pin supply.
    Thanks

  • Cannot Install windows 7 or Vista on HP DC5800 with VL Media

    Hello all,
I have a fleet of HP DC5800 SFF PC's that have been running XP Pro for some time.  I successfully installed windows 7 on one of them, but none of the other PC's I have of this model will take the install.  After performing a clean install, the pc will reboot and then hang on the windows 7 logo during startup.  I've updated the bios to the latest version.  I've unplugged and disabled everything in the BIOS, cleared the BIOS, amongst a number of other things.  Is there a known issue with this model??  With Vista install, it goes through the install, then says something along the lines that I can't reboot the system to continue the install.  I also tried windows 8.1, which at the end of the install says that the installation file is corrupt.....

  • Premiere Elements 9 Organizer crashes every time

I installed the Trial version on my computer and later added serial number info to get the full program. The editing interface seems to work fine (though I have not had too much time to play with it yet) but the Organizer has not once opened correctly. If I choose it from the opening dialog box everything just closes (no error) and if I choose it from within the editing part it still closes (with or without an error). When I do get an error it says:
    AppName: photoshopelementsorganizer.exe     AppVer: 9.0.0.0     ModName: quartz.dll
    ModVer: 6.5.2600.5933     Offset: 0002efd9
Not too helpful. It begins to open, enough that I can see what it should look like, even with a few video thumbnails etc., but then crashes. Every time.
    PC specs:
    HP Compaq dc5800 Microtower
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
    E8400 @ 3.00GHz
2.99 GHz, 2.99 GB of RAM
I have CS3 and CS5 design premium installed on my machine as well.
I'm rather frustrated, as I had to go to bat with bosses/IT to get even this program (instead of god-awful Pinnacle) for small video-editing projects but as of yet it's been a pain. The installation alone took maybe six tries and two separate Adobe personnel chat sessions.
    Thanks for any help.

    Work through these basics first:
    Install all Windows Updates.
Install latest version of Apple QuickTime (v7.6.8 at time of writing). Even if you don't use QuickTime, PRE relies heavily on it.
Install most recent graphics and sound drivers from the manufacturers web sites.
Shut down, from task manager, as many startup processes as you can. The existence of CS3 & CS5 almost certainly means there are Adobe backgound processes starting automatically.
Free up as much disk space as you can - try for a minimum of 30GB free, 60GB preferably.
Run Disk Cleanup. If you know that the last system restore point is good use advanced settings and remove all but most recent restore point.
    Run Defragmenter.
Temporarily disable any anti-virus realtime scanning.
    Cheers,

  • How to specify finite simulation stop time in VI generated using SIT connection manager

    Hello,
I have a SIMULINK model which I want to run on a desktop ETS. I'm following this procedure:
    1. Convert the SIMULINK model in a .DLL using RTW build in Matlab. The target of this build is nidll.tlc.
    2. Create a host VI with required indicators and map the parameters using SIT connection manager.
    3. Configure the DAQ (and then SIT connection manager generated the driver and IO files for me.)
    4. Using LV project, run the driver on the desktop ETS and host VI on the host machine.
The code is working fine, without any error.
My question is this: Since in the driver VI, the simulation time is set to -1, which implies "continuous", the simulation goes on until I hit the stop button on the host VI.
I tried changing this default value to some other value. The simulation then does run for the defined amount of time but then I'm getting error 2206.
What is an appropriate way to stop the simulation on the RT target?
    Thanks
    Gayatri
    PS: I'm using LV 8.5, LVRT 8.5, SIT 4.0, Matlab @2007a.

The VI in the Driver VI called SIT Initialize Model.vi has an input called time step (sec) (-1: use model time step) which does what you want it to. It doesn't actually affect the time step of the solver used in the built model DLL, just the rate at which the main base rate loop actually runs in real time. In fact, base rate loop period would be a better name for this control. If you set it, you won't alter your model, but you will be able to adjust the rate of the base rate loop.
Simply create a control from this input terminal on your driver VI and fill in an appropriate period in seconds. Make sure to set this value as default in the control so that the Driver VI remembers it.
You will have to take into account that your model will still think it's running at the time step it was compiled at. So your model simulation time and the actual wall clock time won't match up.

  • Problems installing Solaris 8 2/04

I installed Solaris 8 2/04 in a Sun Fire V120 (UltraSPARC-IIe 648MHz), the installation finished but when server restarted it displayed this:

Since this is a fresh installation, you might consider starting it all over again.
You may have made some initial selections while prompted at the beginning of the install process, that accidentally omitted essential system files.
As for that device path and the disk? It's pointing to an external non-Sun peripheral that's connected to the rear external SCSI port. That drive has some bad sectors. ( I wouldn't trust a new OS on those sectors until you fixed them.)
The errors are not calling out either of the two possible internal drives.

  • Graphics driver problem

I was having trouble with the GoPro Studio software and GoPro tech support said:
Currently, you run an Intel Q33 Express Chipset using driver version 8.15.10.1930 (dated 9/22/2009). Per Intel's recommendation, the latest version available for your graphics card is 15.12.75.4.64.1930 (dated 10/02/2009).
I tried installing the driver update from Intel, but I keep getting a "failed" message.
    Intel said:
I would like to inform you that the system is not able to update the driver since it looks like it already has the latest version available installed. I would recommend you to check with HP if they have a newer driver for this chipset or you may also check if you are using the latest BIOS version.
