ME57 ALV Grid adding some custom fields (columns)

Hi all,
does anyone know if it is possible to add some custom col's to the ALV where i see the Overview of PO Requests in ME57 ?
seems to me that i have to find a possibilty to expand the structure MEREQ3214 .
can i do this with the exit MEREQ001 ? if yes, which component should i use ?

Error while adding a custom field with Input help via AET

Hi All,
I need to add two custom field under Service orders at Item level in component BT140I_SRVP.
One field is required to have the input search help f4 and autopopulates the second field
I am able to add one field(not requiring help) successfully through AET .
I have created one Zsearch_help in se11 and its successfully running and Autopopulating seocnd field while I am testing it
While adding second field through AET,I need to enter following details as -
field label,search relevant ,serach help etc.
When I type the name of my 'Zsearch_help' against field search help it gives me following error
'Search help is not compatible'.
Secondly,not getting getter and setter methods for the attrributes in BTAdminI.
Last,please tell me if i create zhelp and activate it,would it automatically appear in the list on AETwhile assiging it to input field?
Please help me out.Kindly be detailed as I am new to SAP CRM.

Can any one explain the below spec-description.
"The purpose of this design is to provide the foundation for a more automated solution to the invoice reconciliation process. This design calls for adding a custom field to the standard SAP table EINE as well as a data maintenance tool for the same. There will also be a new custom table for storing values associated with the new EINE field. These new tables will also provide users with the ability to determine which PIR are soon to expire."
We have to add one custom field to standard table EINE, how we can add this custom field to STND table.
According to me we can add it through append structure. is it correct or not.
and what is data maintenance tool.

Goto SE11 ,give ur table name.Then press display button.Then in the application tool bar press on append structure ...Now create a zstructure and add ur custom field and then activate the table.

Adding new custom fields in FB01

Hello all.
I am having a requirment as i need to add the custome fields in Fb01 transaction at item level.
I have added the custome fields in Bseg table, now i wan to display this fields in the Fb01 screen.
Is thios possible to do so.

Alv Grid download to xl sheet: Column position mismatching

Hi All,
As we know that while downloading the alv grid report data into xl sheet the date cloumn and might some other column positon get shifted to extreme right.
My problem is with five columns in my grid report that got shifted to extreme right while downloading to the xl sheet. They have the data type CURR and DEC. As both the types are basically packed.
I tried to convert one of them into character, but had short dumpfor this conversion.I
Please suggest me to resolve this issue. I shall be greatful to the valuable answer.
Note: My internal table fields order and fields order in fieldcatalog are same.

Answer is to convert it to CHAR .
Conversion error could you post..
Might be the size was not enough to accomodate the DEC/CURR value .
Or the field was not able to recognise the negative/positive signs .
Other option is to play with excel and manually convert all fields to Text by formatting the column in excel.

ALV output to excel - custom fields are missing

Hi,
I am displaying the output using ALV grid display. I have few fields in the output table that I am calculating based on the rest. When i save this output file to an Excel file I am getting all the fields except the ones that I am calculating. something like
vbeln | posnr | kwmeng | custom field1 | werks
1 0010 10 alb1
I am getting the werks field value in the custom field1. and custom field1 value is missing.
Please suggest me some solutions.

Check the format in which you export to Excel (MHTML, XML, ...) and try antoher one.

Add custom field column in VL03N main screen

Hi,
We added a new field to LIPS via an append structure but would like it to appear in the main screen next to the quantity. I keep reading about transaction variants and SHD0 but nothing I see there helps me know how to change the order or contents of the columns. How can I get my custom field into the display as an additional column/field? If SHD0 is the answer, please provide some specific steps on how to add columns to the table control as everything I've found is very vague.
The field is now in LIPSVB, but it is not in LIPSD. Not sure if that matters.

Hi,
For adding fields at the item level to VL01N Transaction you can use the BADI LE_SHP_TAB_CUST_ITEM.
I dont think it is a good idea to add fields right next to the standard fields in the transaction. A separate tab should be created which will include all the customer fields.
Check the documentation of this BADI for more details. If you want this field only in VL03N transaction then you can implement the BADI accordingly so that it triggers only for VL03N transaction.

ALV Grid and a Drop-Down column

Hi All,
Currently I'm working on a Web Dynpro ABAP component where I'm display several columns of data within an ALV Grid.
I have made two of the columns input fields so the User can update the back-end tables. I want to made these two columns not only input fields, but I want them to have "Drop Down" capability (Value and Text) so that the User can pick only standard values.
Does anyone have any sample code I could use.

I dont think that you can provide the capability of both the input field & dropdown to the same columns. (Coz using input fields you should be able to enter any value you wish whereas using a dropdown you can enter a value from within the value set specified.) If you want to create a dropdown within your ALV columns then just go through the code snippet below:
I have a context node by name NODE with the attributes from SFLIGHT. I have 2 additional attributes TEMP & TEMP_NEW under the same node. I have typed them with my custom data element so that they can use the value range defined at the domain level. My task is to display these 2 columns TEMP & TEMP_NEW as dropdowns with the permissible values coming from their associated domains.

ALV Grid Report spool problem with column with no data

Hello All,
I have created a simple alv grid report the report has a description field of 40 ch for which I have made the display length as 20 ch . This works fine in the foreground but when I run the report in background when there is no data in this column this being overwritten with the next column. Which is causing a mismatch between the header and the data below it.
Also when I try to download the report in foreground into excel the columns are not matching with the headers this again happens for columns when there is no data.
Kindly please suggest what is going wrong.

Hi,
For checking the output from background job, check the job and enter JDBG in the command bar and execute.
Check the field catalog and the table contents in debugging just before display.

As per your another suggestion,I have created the enhanced fields without the search help from AET in the node BTAdminI with names Plant(ZZPLANT) and Storage Location(ZZStoarge_Loc).
Now I am facing below problem:
Since Plant needs to autopopulated by Storage Location (search Help ZOFI_SHLP_STORAGE_LOC),So I need to Implement Getter setter method.

Move sign to left of quantity on alv grid with & stil total quantity column

Hi Guys,
Here is my problem.. I have a column on my alv grid that is signed. I want the sign to appear to the left of the number.
This column needs to be totalled so I can't use the function module CLOI_PUT_SIGN_IN_FRONT. I've also tried (as per forum thread) having the field type as TABHIST-DELRATE but this rounds the values and the sign is still on the wrong side.
Any ideas would be gratefully received..

I think first you need to read
1. USR01-DCPFM for user default decimals values, by giving user sy-uname then go to
2. DDVAL giving USR01 & DCPFM you will get domain values
if domain values X or Y or space arrange the EDIT_MASK accordingly and pass to field catalog.
( Here you can also use fm DOMAIN_VALUE_GET)

Adding new custom field in already existing custom tab for MM01

Hello Guru,
I have a requirement that add a custom field in already existing custom view of MM01. I did the following steps :
1. I have cerated a new field in MARA using APPEND structure.
2. I have found the function group(Y_FE_MARA) that already there other subscreens, so that I have added another subscreen in that function group and created a field from MARA in the screen.
3. in SPRO went for the path Logistics General->Material Master->Configuring the Material->Define Structure of Data screens for Each Screen sequence
In the 3rd step, I have choosen already existing screen sequence(Y1) and went for Data Screens and choosen for Custom tab and double click on subscreens and then I have added the program as SAPLY_FE_MARA and subscreen number(011) and saved it.
After all the above steps, I have run MM02/MM03 then the field is not getting displayed in the screen of custom view.
Did I miss any steps here? Please suggest me if I did something wrong.

Thank you for the reply. As per the note some one already implemented the Screen Enhancement with 2 custom views. I need to add the field in any one of existing custom view. So for this I have created a Subscreen in copied function group of MGD1(Y_FE_MARA). But in the function group already 10 Subscreens were created. Is this is the problem? or else copy the FG MGD1 into another FG and create the subscreen will be feasible to my scenario?
