Meaning of check boxes "Visible Internally only" in Attachment tab of SC

Hello Experts,
We are in SRM 7.0
What is the meaning of these check boxes (Visible Internally Only & checked out), that can be used in connection to the handling of attachments in SRM 7.0 Portal?
Any pointer will be highly appreciated,

This appears similar to internal attachments in SRM 5.0. When it is checked, the PO output will not send these attachments to vendors.

Hi,
This is my requirement:
I display a list thru ALV_LIST_DISPLAY. I need Check boxes only at certain entries. Suppose i have a sold-to-party and all the ship-to parties(5 entries) associated to it, i need the check box only in the first entry.similarly in the first entry of the next sold-to-party.
Can this be done thru LIST_DISPLAY, if not thru any other way?

Hi Priya,
it is possible to provide checkboxes to all the lines (header lines) of the ALV report. But in your case you wanna have checkboxes in peculiar cases and that is not possible.
If you would like to have check boxes for all the headers then you could very well do that. If you want to have a sample code... write back.

Check box only visible when data is entered in two other fields

My form has a table in which one column's cells are check boxes. I would like the check boxes to be only visible when both the quantity and unit price cells are filled out.
If I use the following script to hide the checkbox, it becomes my Amount??? which is the column right next to it.
taxable.presence = "hidden";
I am putting the script in the initialize event of the table.

The initialize event only fires once the form is opend, not afterwards when the fields values are changed.
You need another event such as layoutReady.
this.presence = !Quantity.isNull && !UnitPrice.isNull ? "visible" : "hidden";

DTP-extraction-tab:Check-box 'use aggregates' what does it mean?

Hello BW experts
Can someone explain in simple words, what das it mean the check box 'use aggregates' in the data transfer process (Tab extraction).
The F1-help gives the following explanation -however I don't understand the info-:
'Should aggregates be used? This also means that an additional selection condition is automatically inserted that restricts to rolled up data requests.'

I have never tried it myself , but I guess, it would mean if aggregates are built on the cube from which the DTP was extracting data you could choose to extract data from the aggregates instead.
The aggregates are the same as a cube, but with fewer characteristics and would hold data at a summarized level.
If this summarized level is sufficient for load to downstream infoproviders you could choose to extract from the aggregates.
This would mean lesser data is read during extraction and extraction would be faster.

With InfoCube extraction, the data is read in the standard setting from the fact table (F table) and the table of compressed data (E table). To improve performance here, you can use aggregates for the extraction.
Select data transfer process Use Aggregates on the Extraction tab in the DTP maintenance transaction. The system then compares the outgoing quantity from the transformation with the aggregates. If all InfoObjects from the outgoing quantity are used in aggregates, the data is read from the aggregates during extraction instead of from the InfoCube tables.

Mulitible check boxes but only select one in each row who I do it with Acrobat Pro X?

Dear Forum Readers
First, if I should post my entry in the wrong forum, forgive me but I didn’t found the right place!
I start to learn about the Adobe Pro X to create a form with different checkboxes, everything goes very well but now I decide it would be better if I could only check one checkbox in each row (see picture) .
Each checkbox in each row has its own value from 1-4 (left checkbox=1 and right checkbox=4) and on the end of the form “Sub Total” all the value in each column who are checked I accounting together.
1. 1. First I change the check boxes into radio button and give them a different value. Now I can only select one radio button in each row like I want it. But if I go to the field “Sub Total” (properties > calculate > pick) to account the value from each column together then I only can select the whole radio button group and not a single radio button. So my idea doesn’t work because the result is wrong.

2.T2. Then I got back and change the radio button again into check boxes. In each row I give the 4 check boxes the same name (so they act like radio buttons) and this works fine as well but with the same result as you read above. I could only “Pick” (properties > calculate > pick) the whole group of the check boxes and not only one and therefore my result at “Sub Total” is wrong again.
I search the internet as well but I couldn’t found any working solution.
Now I like to ask you kindly, is there somebody who can help me with the problem?
I need the form as you can see at the picture but it should be only possible to check one checkbox in each row. But on the time I should be able to calculate each single column together.
I would appreciate every idea (as simple as possible) because I am a beginner with Adobe Pro X.

Check boxes are not being displayed in any list applets

Issue: The check boxes are not being displayed in any list applets in the system. A check box can be marked in the system, but as soon as the user clicks anywhere outside of the box the check box 'visibly' disappears. If you hover the mouse over the check box it displays a 'Y'. However, check boxes are working fine for the form applet, the issue is only with the list applet.
I verified the checkboxes work fine in the thick client and in production. However, it is the testing environment, which belongs to client, that is showing the above behavior. I think there is some setting that is missing for them. But I am unable to figure it. I would really appreciate if someone could help !!

One way that you could make it work (just tried it out again) is to use the windings font
and use the checkboxes from there. However, you need to register the font with xml publisher. In the template builder for Word, you can put a configuration file under:
C:\Program Files\Oracle\XML Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\config
(depnding on your installation). The file should have the name xdo.cfg or xdoconfig.xml.
There is an example file: xdo example.cfg that you rename and change accoringly.
The font is there setup for windows 2000 as an example. Select the correct font
path - for my XP it is:
<font family="Wingdings" style="normal" weight="normal">
<truetype path="C:\WINDOWS\fonts\wingding.ttf" />
</font>
Then you can put the symbols into your RTF template and it will be rendered.
At least it worked for me - with 5.6.2. (Availbable on Wednesday or Thursday), but
I am pretty sure I tried it before with 5.5.
Didn't have the 5.5 manual with me - so I have to check what that says again..

Reset radiobutton list when check box unchecked

I have a static PDF registration form that I am working on using LiveCycle Designer 8.2. I would like to learn how to have a radiobutton list reset when a particular check box is unchecked.
When registering for the event, users have the option of attending 1 of the 4 optional afternoon workshop sessions. I have successfully made the workshop radiobuttons hidden until the check box is checked using the following code:
(check box is named "Reg4" -- this is where they say "yes" I'm going to attend 1 of the 4 workshops,
radiobutton list of the 4 workshops is named "RadioButtonList3")
      topmostSubform.Page1.Reg4::change - (JavaScript, client)
     if (this.rawValue == "0") {
       this.resolveNode("RadioButtonList3").presence = "hidden";
When the user unchecks the "Reg4" checkbox after they have selected 1 of the 4 workshops, that radiobutton is still checked.
What I'm looking for is to have the radiobutton list reset (or again hidden) when the Reg4 button is unchecked (after previously being checked).
I hope my description is clear. Is this possible?

In an earlier version the RadioButtonList3 is hidden when first viewing the file. It was done using FormCalc. (I know you said don't mix the languages but, hey, it worked!) Also, I found a post you had last year in the discussion "Prompt User to click checkbox (radio button)" where you described a message box using Java. I snagged that and put it on the enter event of the Reg4 field.
When I preview the PDF, this is what I now have:
Upon first view, RadioButtonList3 is hidden and am unable to select (perfect)
When I check the Reg4 box, I get the "You will be registered for a..." warning message (perfect)
I can now make a selection in the RadioButtonList3 (perfect)
If I uncheck the Reg4 box without making a selection on RadioButtonList3, the RadioButtonList3 again hides (perfect)
If I check the Reg4, then make a selection on RadioButtonList3, and then uncheck the Reg4 box, the RadioButtonList3 is reset (perfect)
BUT the RadioButtonList3 is still visible and a selection can now be made (not perfect because the Reg4 box is now unchecked and the user will only be registered for the event if Reg4 is checked)
#1 RadioButtonList3 will hide only if it has not been selected and reset first.
#2 The warning message only appears the first time Reg4 is checked.
These 2 items somehow seem related. Is there something that tells it "use this code when you first open the document but act differently once you've started checking boxes" so it only acts as I intend on the first go-around?

Radio Button or Check Box Group

Hi,
I built a form based on a query. There is a flag column, only one of queried records is allowed to be "Y" in this column. The rests must be null.
Most ideal thing is to have a radio button group, only one of them can be selected.
Another way is to have a group of check boxes also allow only one checked. Once another check box is selected, the previously selected box must be unchecked.
Does anybody have idea of how to do it?

You have the save the number of the current ("checked") record in your data block.
After that you can launch a trigger which will scan every record in your data block (there are enough built-ins like FIRST_RECORD, LAST_RECORD, NEXT_RECORD, Current_record property, etc.)to allow you to do this. The trigger will set the check item property to "unchecked" if it is not the saved "checked" record.

Acrobat 9 want to change check box selection to a Tick or a X

I have created a pdf form (from word)
I used the "form field recognition"
Everything went ok but the check boxes when selected
only left a black square dot.
I would like a X or a Tick. I have read the help file below.
but nathing I try will get it to work, I must be missing somthing.
realy need help( step by step) preferably.

FWIW, the help text you posted does not apply to check box form fields, but rather Comments.
What you need to do is change the Check Box Style, which can be set to Check, Circle, Cross, Diamond, Square, or Star.
To do so manually, open the DPF, select "Forms > Add or Edit Fields", select one or more of the check boxes, right-click and select Properties, go to the Options tab, and select the style you want from the Check Box Style drop-down.

Check box in Tree ui element.

Hi All
I am using org.eclipse.swt.widgets.TreeItem for creating tree structure. Now I am trying to incorporate check box for last tree element. For example if I am preparing tree structure for files the check box should appear only for text file not for directory. User would select the file by checking the box. Here is my code..

Import Word 2007 Form check boxes undefined

Any one have any idea on how to get the forms wizard to import the field property names for check boxes in an Adobe form?
I have a Word 2007 form which I have tried saving as a .doc, .dot, dotm, .docx and no matter what format I choose, I cannot get the check box fields to import. I used the legacy checkbox field under the developer ribbon in Word 2007 to create the check boxes. I have tried to import with protection on the word form enabled and stopped but it doesn't make a difference. The check box fields come across fine but the name and the text fields both say undefined rather then display the field name given in Word. I am using Adobe 9 pro. I have checked my Adobe preferences in Word and made sure all the boxes were checked for converting bookmarks but it still did not make a difference. The text fields are importing fine with the property field names.
Here is an example:
I have a yes check box that is labeled StorageY and a no checkbox labeled StorageN for the properties in Word. I then went to the form wizard in Adobe 9 and selected start with existing form and selected the fillable word form I created with the check boxes. I imported it and the check box properties say Undefined for both storageY and storageN. There are about 60 check boxes in the document and I don't want to retype them every time in Adobe when the word form is updated and has to be conveted again.
I sure hope there is a solution.

Thanks for the information but I respectfully disagree with "there is no import". If you open Adobe Acrobat
9 pro and go to Forms, Start Forms Wizard, select An Existing electronic document and click on Next. Select "import" a file from file system and browse for the word document and click on Next.
Using this method not only runs the automatic field recognition you were referring to, it also brings in all the word form field text and formats with the exception of the check boxes. My only guess is the problem has something to do specifically with the check box fields as it does bring over the radio button text. A lot less work to keep the form updated. It rocks. You should try it some time.
Word 2007 pdf writer does the same thing as the openoffice.org but neither bring across the form field info. They just create a starting point and you would have to use the method you described above to create the fillable form.

Tax Code (check box)

As per our requirement we have to make Tax Code check box Ticked in all FI Transaction codes and it should always be ticked and grey(display) mode so no one can change its ticked status.
Kindly suggest how to make this field ticked and greyed.

You can do so by editing the necessary field status group and putting the tax check box as display only.
However, you would not need tax calculation for all cases. Be sure that you know, why you want all accounts to be tax relevant.
If I understand correctly, you will maintain the necessity of Tax Code in GL master through FS00 but you will keep it in display mode at document entry level.
Please clarify your exact requirement.

Where is the "Start New Row" check box when adding a div tag?

Ever since I updated Dreamweaver, when i add a div tag i no longer see the "Start A New Row" check box. The only checkbox i see is "Insert as a Fluid Element". Has this option been removed or has it been moved to a new location?

We have updated Fluid grid in 12.2 release of DW as well as in CC release.
Unlike before, Now DW smartly recognizes when a Fluid page is open and Converts Structure category to Fluid layout category.
I.e. when any element is inserted from Structure category on to a fluid page it will be inserted with required CSS to make it fluid, Unless user advices otherwise.
The idea is to enhance the support for almost all the structural elements as fluid elements, rather than just supporting Div as a fluid element. Hence, Insert Fluid Grid Layout Div Tag has been removed.
Steps to Insert a fluid element:
Select Insert > Layout.
Select the element that you want to insert. (i.e Div or Header or footer etc) 3. In the dialog that appears, enter a new class name, or enter a value for the ID. The selected element is inserted on the layout.
4) To insert a normal/non fluid element uncheck 'Insert as fluid element' check box in previous dialog.
Now to answer second part of your concern " Regarding missing "Start A New Row" check box"
All the elements inserted on a fluid page, start in a New row by default. If user wants to place the element in previous row then in can be achieved by clicking "Move Up a row" button which comes up on FG element HUD, after inserting that element.

Check Box rawValue

I have a trouble with the check box rawValue. I can change de value (check box = "Off") of my check box, but if I add an instruction more, I can't anymore. The example following is an instruction of a click of a button.
Ex (this example runs) :
checkBox.rawValue = "0"; //My check Box isn't check...
Ex (this example doesn't run, only the second instruction) :
checkBox.rawValue = "0"; //My check Box isn't check...
checkBox.access= "readOnly"; //My check Box can be only read...

What I use to do is:
checkBox.rawValue = !checkBox.rawValue;
checkBox.access = "readOnly";
If you want to have a 2 checBoxes, and on check one uncheck the other, you can put too a raddio button group with the appearance of a checkBox.
