Meaning of tag column in lookup code

Hi,
I would like to disable some values in lookup code, but some values have value in tag column (Y). So it is impossible to disable them.
The lookup code I would like to update is CONTACT_TITLE (in receivables lookups).
How can I disable these tagged values please?

How to change lookup code with Access Level as 'System'

Hi,
I need to append new lookup codes in a lookup type having access level as 'SYSTEM'. Is there any standard way to do the same or just updating the customization level column will do ? Please let me know if you have any solution for this.

You can also change the meaning on that value to something like "*** DO NOT USE***". This will make it obvious to the user that he/she should not choose it.
You can try to add a when-validate-record personalization to show error if someone selected a disabled value.
You can also try to modify the list of values associated with the field using personalizations.
If nothing else works, you can use a SQL to uncheck the enabled flag. The risks involved in this are well known.

Can you help me out in letting me know what this means and how I can fix this? I found it in my tools menu under error console. It was listed as a warning, but then there was a option to highlight and evaluate the original warning message that was listed as

I am writing to ask for guidance on what to do and how to fix this.

Not able to tag with holding tax code in customer master

Hi
while posting avance payments form customer i need to put tds amount in tds column.
for that iam trying to tag the withholding tax code in customer master.
but the Tax code field is greyed (blocked) and not able to edit.
Pls suggest what will be the wrong.

all the configurations are in order.
But the field tax field is blocked(greayed as uneditable)
this problem is from past 3 days only.
earlier i was able to edit and assign the tax code properly.
i dont know what has gone wrong in between.

Change of Lookup Codes shall amount to Customization?

Dear All,
We are going to Implement Withholding Tax as a Workaround for Retainage in Payables Module.
We would like to change Invoice Distribution Type Lookup code from 'Withholding Tax' to 'Retainage' so that anybody,who is having a look at Invoice can understand the amount adjusted as Retainage.
My first doubt is, Whether this will be treated as Customization? (Remember we are changing the Meaning of Lookup code and nothing else).
My Second doubt is, Whether Lookup Code Meaning change will have any affect on any Patch Application? (Some Patches will check the Lookup codes)
Please Clarify.

Changing meaning of lookup code is NOT customization.
And it will not cause any problems in patch application.

Lookup code not appearing

I have an issue with Lookup values of leave reason in terminate employment form.
It is displaying only 3 leave reasons(Deceased, Gross Misconduct, Retirement). I have switched to Application developer and checked for the "LEAV_REAS" lookup values. there are 48 lookup codes and meanings and all are active.
Why these are not being displayed in the terminate employment form?
And I've added a new lookup code for the existing code. This is appearing in the terminate employment form.
My doubt is why the seeded codes are not being displayed and why the custom added is appearing.

My account was hacked once so I won't put a credit card in and live with gift cards. Now I am getting hit for $20, two gift cards for ten each. I now question who and how people are making money?? Is my only solution, buy card, redeem code instantly, purchase item?

How to add a new column as T-Code in PFCG

I want to remove some existed Tcodes from role via PFCG. But there are just one column as T-Code description. That's very trouble for finding out T-code. I also try to add column as T-code. But I cann't find out it.
Everybody can tell me how to add it?

go to Tcode PFCG ->menu
in that you will find Role menu . in that you will be having all your Tcode nodes .
just right click on the node which you want to delete and select delete node

What's the meaning of "...(Complied Code)" in the exception messages?

Hi all,
I'm monitoring a program running abnormally. In its log, I see many exceptions like "at XXX.YYY.methodFoo(YYY.java (Compiled Code))" which is not sufficient for me to locate where in the code this exception is thrown.
At first, I thought because I was using a jar which only contains compiled byte codes so that there's no message about the line numbers where exceptions were thrown.
But then, I found that in the log there were also many exceptions like "at XXX.YYY.methodBar(YYY.java: 123))". What is strange is that two exceptions were thrown respectively in two methods belonging to the same class, and one exception has line number but another doesn't!!!
So I guess the "...(Complied Code)" has different meaning. Maybe it means that JIT has complied it into native instructions so that JVM can't trace back the line from which the exception is thrown?
Can anyone tell me the meaning of "...(Compiled Code)"?

'Compiled code' means it was compiled with -g:none or some other -g: option excluding line number information.

What is "na" means in "stack" column for Precise CPU Usage?

I'm trying to analyze CPU usage of third party process. I zoomed in on 3 sec of process eating 25% of CPU and it's a single thread 4184 doing it. When I add "stack" column after Thread Column, it shows that processing split is between [Root] and
n/a
What n/a means? Stack column is empty for it.

n/a in this context (and in most others realistically) would mean "Not Applicable".

How can i access my custom tag value in scripting code?
For example, assuming my tag is <myTag:display value="myValue"/>, how can i System.out this value in scripting code? I wanna do <% System.out.prinln(xxx); %> where xxx should be my custom tag value.

I understand that you want to store "myValue" somewhere accesible by scripting. The more easy and portable way is to store that value in an attribute, for instance:
<myTag:display value="myValue" var="myVar" scope="session"/>And in the custom tag code:

pageContext.setAttribute(var, value, scope);This ensures compatibility with Java Standard TagLibrary and EL:
<c:out value="${myVar}"/>And finally, scripting:

Because I have written multiple applications that simply inject an instance of the entity manager into the EJB and I have never had any problems. The whole idea of dependency injection is to minimize the need for manual JNDI lookups; why are you trying to swim against the current?

1. Section code is meant for EWT functionality.
2. with Section code we can identify the Income tax location.
3. Business place is meant for VAT functionality.
4. With Business place we will identify the Vat office location.
Before VAT (Means before 2005) Business place is using for EWT.
After VAT Business place to Section code Migration is available.
for new Projects you can directly use the Section code for EWT.
Other than India company code .
Busines place is meant for VAT only.

2.1.1: column completition in code insight

Hello Forum,
I have some trouble using column completition via code insight. The behavior seems to have been changed from 2.1.0.
When I enter
select ma from user_tables;
place the the cursor after the "ma" and press ctrl-space, I expect (and was used to in previous versions) to get all columns starting with ma (i.e. max_extents and max_trans).
But in 2.1.1 I get just max. I can circumvent this by writing
select u.ma from user_tables u;
Then I get the expected result. Now the question is: can I get the old behavior back?
It is somewhat annoying to be forced to use an alias even in single table selects. I tried some preferences but they did not help.
I connect to Oracle 10.2.0.4 on Windows. SQL Developer runs on WinXP.
