Media Encoder CC crashes while working on queued H264 files.
While I am editing my videos I send them to Adobe Media Encoder CC as H264 for youtube. Even with only encoder running windows 7 crashes with the blue screen. This is the only program that causes this. I was looking to uninstall this program and it is not an option in control panel. Do I have to uninstall Premiere CC to have this removed? I was going to try an uninstall/reinstall to test if this fixes it. The machine is a current machine with 64GB ram running on SSD.
Thanks all
A BSOD on Windows 7 is most often a sign of a serious problem, much more frequently caused by faulty hardware or driver than the actual software running when the crash occurred.
As exports often push a system to it's limits, I'd probably start by looking at the cooling of your system.

Adobe Media Encoder pausing rendering while working in Premiere Pro
Hello everyone,
So I am redering a video in Adobe Media Encoder and at the same time I am editing a new one in Premiere Pro.
I noticed that AME is constantly pausing the rendering and did not know why. It turns out that while I'm editing a video in Premiere Pro, I am constantly pressing the space bar to start/pause the video I'm editing. While I do that, AME keeps pausing/unpausing the rendering. Somehow, pressing the space bar in PP has an effect in AME.
I have no clue why it does that because the Premiere Pro window has the focus, not the AME one.
Has anyone ever seen that?
I use Windows 8 and Adobe CC.Hi Rallymax,
Yes I do queue footage by having an Autowatch set up on the directories where the video is written to. I rarely do a direct export unless testing new settings.
Don't take this as gospel but I too had a feeling that GPU acceleration didn't happen with AME, only direct export. Not sure where that came from, I did watch some of the recent Adobe TV Web Seminar's about new features of CC products etc, so maybe on one of those?
I found this while trying to find out where I had seen it but it is from AMD site not Adobe so whether it's fully 100% correct I dunno:
Adobe Media Encoder
The Adobe Media Encoder (AME), with support for OpenCL™ and GPU acceleration, automates the production of multiple encoded versions of source files, sequences, and compositions in Premiere Pro CC. With the GPU-accelerated AME and AMD graphics technology, editors can quickly encode projects and output files for virtually any destination. AMD GPUs handle the heavy lifting, freeing the system’s CPU to perform other functions.
I will try the same test as Jason, if I can find any AVHCD video and see what the results are. Will be interesting. -
Adobe Media Encoder CS5 crashes at a certain point while rendering
Adobe Media Encoder CS5 crashes at a certain point while rendering, I have also tried to render directly from Premiere Pro but this only makes PremPro crash instead.
The clip I am trying to render right now is 20 mins long, 1600x900 and is a .avi file. The output settings are H.264/HDTV 720p 29.97fps High Quality.
This all started happening after I re-installed windows.
Machine Specs:
Intel i5 3570k
8GB 1866MHz RAM
Intel HD 4000 graphics (yes I know I should get CUDA)
I made sure that CS5 was updated before posting this.>1600x900 and is a .avi file
That size description makes me think this is a screen capture, not a camera file... if it is a screen capture, what codec/software did you use?
Read Bill Hunt on a file type as WRAPPER http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037

Media Encoder CC Crashes Loading Looks 3
Every time I load Media Encoder it crashes when "Loading Looks3_AE10.plugin. I have no idea where to even start with trying to fix this. I just formated my primary drive and am in the process of reinsalling and setting everything up. So I just got all my stuff reinstalled and updated and was going to test something out in Media Encoder and I get this same issue every time. I've tried updating the OS, restarting, making sure everything else is up to date and nothing helps.

Since new update - Adobe Media Encoder and CUDA not working
CUDA not launching - Premier CC says that only software will work. Media encoder crashes on launch. Re-installed both.
Nvidia 670 GTXWhat version of Premiere Pro? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Pro CS5.5 with the 5.5.2 update).
Premier Version 7.2.2 (33)
Have you installed the recent updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)
Problem started after I installed the software updated
What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac".
Windows 7 Ultimate - SP1
What kind(s) of source footage? When telling about your source footage, tell us about the codecs, not just the container types. For example, "H.264 in a .mov container", not just "QuickTime".
REDCODE .r3d from R1 - RedCode 28
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?
Adobe Media Encoder Has Crashed - please contact your system administrator. This graphics card is not supported, CUDA disabled.
What were you doing when the problem occurred?
Booting premier pro, opening a new project, when trying to render using the encoder
Has this ever worked before?
Yes worked fine before 7.2.2 update
What other software are you running?
Chrome, Media Player
Do you have any third-party effects or codecs installed?
RED Giant Universe is installed
Tell us about your computer hardware. Be especially certain to tell us about third-party I/O hardware (e.g., AJA, Matrox, Blackmagic, MOTU).
i7 3930k 12 Core, Nvidia 670 GTX 4GB, 32GB Corsair 1866 RAM, RAID HDD
Are you using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration?
YES - Nvidia 670GTX video card
Does the problem only happen with your final output, with previews, or both?
Problem Occurs when rendering the final output for the Medi Encoder and the GPU issue when I open a new project that used to use Mercury
I also cannot seem to find the file within Premier Pro for "supported Cards" - I had this issue before and I just added my card to this list, this list seems to be missing.
Thank you. -
Media encoder cs4 crashes by using Premiere (and conversely)
Hi !
I have some troubles with CS4 Media Encoder.
It was working fine some months ago when I used it for encoding with Premiere CS4 (with HDV and HD video files, sometimes wih video files more than 4 hours long).
Now, it crashes everytime (with the windows message : this program has to be closed), and I just want to encode a DV video (20 minutes of video) ...
But CS4 Media Encoder doesn't crash if it's launched alone. If I lanuch Premiere, Premiere than crashes with the Adobe windows send-reports.
I try to find solution on the websites, like deleting some files or changind folder names, the problem is still there.
Could you please help me with this issue ?
My computer uses windows XP.
Thanks a lot for your help !I still have the problem, I can't export anything.
And I really need to finish my project soon and quickly but I can't :-(
I try to figure out on Internet how to deal with it, but each time there is a file I don't have, or a folder, or the solution doesn't work...
Please, if you know anything thank you to tell me -
Adobe Media Encoder CS4 Crashing Immediately
Hello,
I am running the CS4 Production Premium suite on a Windows 7 64-bit computer with 12GB RAM. Up til last week, the whole Adobe suite had been running smoothly. (I primarily use Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, and Encore). However, Encore started locking up the computer any time I tried to work on authoring a Blu-ray (it locked up immediately upon opening a Blu-ray project, and only locked up on a new project when I switched from DVD to Blu-ray mode).
I assumed that some of Encore's source code had either been moved, overwritten by something else, or that there was possibly a program incompatibility with something else on my computer. So I took the step to uninstall and reinstall Encore from the install DVDs.
Upon a "successful" reinstallation, I then went into Premiere CS4 to encode a timeline to a P2 file. Premiere seemed to be doing its normal exporting process fine, but Media Encoder would crash after the red splash screen disappeared. To be more explicit, the red splash screen would disappear and be replaced by a window the normal size of the Encoder program, but nothing appeared on screen in the window other than a small white box in the upper left with the rest just being plain gray (see attached photo). At the same time this white window appeared, Win 7 popped up a box saying that Adobe Media Encoder has stopped working and that it would search for a solution to the problem, which it never could do.
I then tried deactivating the suite, uninstalling the full suite and reinstalling, updating so the patches would bring it up to date, and then tried running Adobe Media Encoder again, this time running from the Start menu rather than from Premiere. Yet, it was still the same response: the program crashes immediately.
I would appreciate any suggestions and help that people can provide.
Sincerely,
Kevin T

Export to windows media encoder-PPro crashes
Every time I try to export to Adobe Media encoder: windows media: PPro crashes.
I am working on a 64k computer using the 32k version of PPro CS3.
Every other format in the media encoder works fine.
Does anyone have any solutions or know why this happens?
Thanks,
J.J.Charette, "Export to windows media encoder-PPro crashes" #, 15 Jan 2009 12:24 pm
This thread is getting a bit old now but I'm now having the exact same problem as J.Charette. I think I may have some light to shed on it as well. I was successfully running CS3 master collection and exporting to WMV files in PPro/AE for the past year under XP64. I was given a new computer (again XP64) and didn't have any problems until I installed Microsoft Windows Media Encoder 64 (I used to use the 32 bit version successfully and this time figured I'd just get the 64 bit one instead).
Now that I've installed WME I can't export as WMV from any AE/PPro CS3. As soon as AME comes up with the format selection screen, if I select WMV from the drop down box it immediately crashes. I've tried uninstalling WME, reinstalling it and even uninstalling WME & CS3 and reinstalling from scratch. Still doesn't work.
In my case at least, there is a definite correlation between installing WME64 and its interaction with Adobe Media Encoder... Anyone have any suggestions? It seems to me there must be some registry setting / config file for AME that is causing it to try to use WME64 for something which causes a crash (since 32 and 64 bit apps can't call each other).
Ideas?
Thanks,
Christopher Grant -

>gpu[0].DriverDate="20130829000000.000000-000"
It's possible a newer driver may help. Visit nVidia.com to facilitate downloading/installing their latest release.
That said, I've also found Photoshop can get flakey once you start working on 3D stuff. I've had amazing, long sessions where it just worked, and I've had others where it just wouldn't cooperate - doing exactly the same things.
It's then that you start to appreciate the auto-save in the background, but even then once in a while it doesn't auto-recover, so you want to save your work in multiple master files fairly often.
I think the latest version (14.1.2) seems about the most stable for 3D work so far.

We have an issue when we send a film to the media encoder it crashes about half of the time for no particular reason. Anyone else got that too with Premiere Pro CC and the new Media encoder?

Lack of detailed info makes your question impossible for anyone to answer you!
eg. ...."Doctor it hurts...anyone else got something that hurts?" -
Captivate 4 crashes while working with Power Builder projects..Can anyone help to solve this issue??
Yes but there's no point doing it here. As the Terms of Use make quite clear this is a User to User forum. It's Users like you talking to other Users. It's not a channel to communicate with Apple.

Create "Rotate Picture" function for Iphone Camera?
Just wondering - why hasn't Apple added a "rotate" image function on the iphone? I receive MMS photos or send photos to others that aren't in the necessarily "right" orientation. They should really allow this function within the phone itself without
