Media Encoder CC specify file output location doesn't work?

Hello everybody! When i render a video from Media Encoder CC the "specify output file location" only works if i go to preferences then select the folder, then when i reboot the PC it still says it's going to that location but doesn't. Does this happen to any one else? And how can i fix this? thanks !

Check your permissions-settings. It sounds like your preference file is is written to a destination that has specific read-write permissions. Or that it is erased when rebooting (schools often have this implemented)

However, when you open Word Options/Trust Centre/Trust Centre Settings…/Trusted Locations
There are no trusted locations listed under ‘Policy Locations’
I have tried setting similar settings for setting the Shared Templates folder location and just like the trusted locations policy, the registry keys are created properly in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies however word doesn’t
    seem to recognize these either.
This used to work flawlessly using the administrative templates for Word 2007 and 2010. Has anyone been able to get these policies to apply successfully, or know why office doesn’t recognize these settings from the Policies registry
    Key?

This would have been an easy solution to the issue.  Unfortunately it isn't the problem.  This question was originally posted on another Microsoft site and
was transferred here and when it was transferred the path's changed from the original post:
\\server\sharedfodlername to //server/sharedfoldername.  (I will edit the question to show up as it did in the original post) Not sure how that happened.  This
is still an issue that I haven't been able to get working correctly.
As it turns out the 'New from Template' interface Word 2013 has developed is very bulky with large thumbnails and is not very customizable nor practical for an office
that has a large number of templates.   Because I am unsatisfied with the display and performance of the 'New' template chooser I sought after a solution to change the way word creates a document from a template in another thread:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-word/how-can-you-change-the-display-of-templates-in/d49194b9-a6b4-4768-8502-7d7b50e9dd65 working through this issue with Jay we were able to develop
some VB script with handles a very large number of templates in a list view and it works much faster than the built-in Word interface.  The above thread is how I've worked around trying to define a shared template location and I am quite happy with it.

  • Adobe Media Encoder: Finished .flv file doesn't show in finder

I was working with Media Encoder, converting a 37-minute 8GB file into a .FLV, and while the program will go through all of the steps (no error messages, video shows in preview window, progress bar fills all the way) when the conversion is finished there is no file. I've checked all through my computer and the .flv file is not there, It doesn't even show that any new space is being taken up in the computer's memory.
When I convert a 10 - 15 minute video, everything works fine, but I've tried this several times with the same result and I have no idea why?

Is it anything to do with this?

  • Media Encoder rendering MP4 files with AAC and M4V files leftover

    Hey all,
Just a quick question. My computers' media encoder has started rendering mp4 files and leaving the m4v and aac files there once the render is complete. The mp4 is fine but it's a bit anoying and messy that it's not deleting the files afterwards. Anyone familiar with this issue?
    Thanks

  • Adobe Media Encoder and f4v files

I have a bunch of f4v files that were created by FMLE 3.2 that I'd like to convert to a more usable format, but when trying to open them in Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5, I get an error that says:
"The file <my file> could not be imported.  The source compression type is not supported."
These are f4v files straight from FMLE, with h264 video and aac audio, and they play fine in VLC.  This is all running on Mac OS 10.8.
What gives?  Can AME really not open f4v files from FMLE?

    Apparently not.

  • Adobe Media Encoder and .TS files

After updating the Adobe Media Encoder to the 2014.1 Release, every time I try to encode (convert) a .ts file I get audio issues post render no matter what I render out to.  It's only an issue when encoding (converting) .ts files.  I can convert an .mpg, .mov, etc. and it comes out fine.  Before this release I could render out .ts files just fine and had no issues.  Can someone help me understand what changed and why I can't convert .ts files anymore without getting distorted audio after converting?  The sound renders out as a reverb effect kind of like the audio was cut in space.
    All help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

Still not working for me.  Please help?  I use Adobe Media Encoder on a daily basis.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS5 + .MTS Files

    Greetings!
In the past I have used Adobe Media Encoder CS4 to convert .mts files from my Canon Vixia HF200.  These were taken off an external hard drive, not in the original file structure.  I converted them to Quicktime H.264 and everything worked great.
However, now I have tried the same process with Adobe Media Encoder CS5, but now I get a message that the "Compression Type is Not Supported"
I have tried multiple computers and reinstalled a few times.
Has anyone seen this or do you have any suggestions?
    My Setup:
    Mac OS X 10.6.x
    Adobe Media Encoder 5.0.x
    Final Cut Studio 3
    Thanks,
    Steve

I am having a similar problem. We have a client with .MTS files I need to convert into .mov. When I try to add one in it states that the Compression Type is not Supported.
    I have:
CS5- Flash, InDesign, Illustrator, DW, Fireworks, Catalyst, PS, Adobe Reader, Bridge, Device Central, Extension Manager. Nothing is a trial version.
I don't have any of the other programs listed in the above post.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

  • Add Metadata, Options to Open in Adobe Media Encoder for Video Files

I was surprised to discover that some basic information about video files is not shown. For example, the duration of a QuickTime video is not shown.
Also, there is no option to open an MOV file in Adobe Media Encoder.
It would be nice to have this basic support for video.

  • Adobe Media Encoder different audio file to video file.

    Hello,
I've been encoding files from several different DVD's and when I play the encoded file the video is correct but the audio is from a completely different file. This is I am assuming is because the file names on the DVD's are the same i.e. VTS_01_1.. etc. When I realised it was doing this I permanently deleted the incorrectly encoded files, sorted all of the correctly encoded files into seperate folders for each DVD. This did not work even though media encoder was creating new file names for each file it encoded. I then re-named all of the correct files and re-named the files that I was about to encode. I have also cleared the media cache database. The files on the DVD's are fine and play as they should with the correct audio. What do I need to do to get the files to encode with the correct audio?!!! Thank you!

Try this - in Project Bin, right-click the clip in question and select "Make Offline". Then right-click again and choose "Link Media" and point it to the correct source file. Could be that the pointers got all confused as like you said, as sources had the same names.
If that fails to resolve the problem - cleaning the Media Cache only works for projects that no longer exist, or are on a drive that is disconnected. Assuming that maybe the Conformed audio that is being used in the background is messed up, try this - close Premiere, then RENAME the project file, for instance add an "x" to beginning of filename. Now open Premiere (new project), then clean the cache again. Since it can't find your project, it should then remove all temp renders from the drive for that project.
Next, rename project to original name and open and it should conform audio again as if just adding media for the first time. Hopefully for correct clips this time, if you have moved media around on drive to eliminate overlap of file names.

  • Why Adobe media Encoder makes 3 files when export in MPEG2 ?

I try to compress a sequence using File-Export-Adobe Media Encoder -MPEG2-DVD. I want to reduce the size of my sequence (normaly exported as .AVI file) When done, I have 3 files: 1) .m2v 2) .Wav 3) .mcses
What are theses files ? Should I use something else to reduce the size of my files to fit on a 4.7G DVD...?
    Thanks !
    Franc St-Louis

The .m2v file contains the MPEG-2 video.
The .wav file contains the PCM (uncompressed) audio.
The .mcses file contains information about chapter markers.
Encore will use the MPEG-2 file "as is" and by default compress the PCM audio to Dolby Digital (AC3).
There are basically two options to make your project fit on a DVD:
Export a DV AVI file from Premiere and let Encore decide on the best compression settings "on automatic".
Do a bit budget calculation and use the bit rate numbers found in Premiere's Media Encoder.
To assist you with the bit budget you can use one of these online calculators:
    Bitrate Calculator
    CustomFlix Bit Budget Calculator
    Chris Linke Bit Budget Calculator
    DVD-HQ Bitrate & GOP calculator
