Media Encoder makes clip green and purple.

Media Encoder CS4, Mac OS X:
Have never had any problems before. Now it's making a certain clip either completely green and purple (no other colors) or without footage and only with the sound regardless of which setting I test.
The clip is 5 minutes m4v, H.264, 25 fps, 384 x 216 px, 883 kbits/sec and about 32 Mb.
What might be the problem?

  • Trouble Exporting movie with Media Encoder, weird clip sizes and errors

I'm using Premiere Pro CS4 on a Windows XP Professional with 2gb RAM and 1.6GHz.  I'm trying to export a short movie (2.5 minutes) with no audio.  It is just a bunch of stitched together videos imported from 1280x 1024.  I'm sizing them into 720 x 480.  I get very poor video quality unless I use uncompressed formats, so I am using an Uncompressed AVI with UYVY Codec and 1.0 square pixels.
1st problem: I get an error running more than around 35-50seconds:
The Operation was interrupted by user
    - Source File: C:\DOCUME~1\imurphy\LOCALS~1\Temp...
    - Output File: C:\Documents and Settings\imurphy\My Documents...

    Error compiling movie.
    Unknown error.
Its very consistent with having this error.  I'm pretty sure there is plenty of room for the files, it only gets up to around 2.5gb.  I can watch the movie up to where the error occurs and there is no problem.
2nd: I tried spliting the video up into 4 different files and the last clip won't match the others.  I export all of them the same way, with 1.0 aspect ratio and the first 3 come out saying .9091NTSC.  The last one will say it is 1.0 ratio if I do it the same way or 0.9091 NTSC  if I change it, but either way, it will come out wider that the other clips (they will all still have black space on sides).

  • Media Encoder CC 7.2 and Indesign CC updating problem

  • Media Encoder CC Has Disappeared and Can't Be found!

My Media Encoder CC is gone and won't return.  I tried uninstalling After Effects and Premiere Pro, then reinstalling on the assumption it was part of one of thsoe two packages, but alas ... still no Media Encoder.  What do I do?

Adobe has a special Creative Cloud removal tool that should uninstall all traces of CC from your system.
Then run the Windows Disk Cleanup wizard which should remove all installer temp files, etc. Then Reboot your computer.
Then I suggest first only installing Premiere Pro using the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app and see if AME is installed with it. If all good, install the rest of the apps.

  • Green and purple dots on screen (fixed!)

So I had green and purple dots all over the screen of my iMac (10.5.6, intel 24"). The dots would disappear briefly when windows were dragged over them. Green dots appeared on black backgrounds and purple dots appeared on lighter backgrounds (e.g. "about this mac" was really bad). I didn't find the solution anywhere and several people reported needing to replace their hardware. With the help of a technician at Apple, we figure out the fix (in my case).
    Here's what didn't work:
    - shutting off the machine and unpowering for 15 seconds
    - resetting the PRAM
    Here's what DID work:
    - go to Utilities
    - go to Disk Utility
    - select Macintosh HD
    - press "verify disk permission" (and wait a long long time)
    - press "repair disk permission" (and wait a long long time)
    - reboot
This fixed it. Apparently errors on disk impact bits in displaying certain things. Who knew.
Anyway, I hope this helps someone else.
    Nate

    OK. Thanks.
I noticed that when I ran the verify/repair permissions again, it found some, repaired it, and the dots went away again. That would indicate a hardware problem.

  • Iphone 3G camera has green and purple stripes

I have a 3G iphone that was working perfectly. All of the sudden, these green and purple "noise" lines started showing up just in the camera app. I restored the software and that didn't get rid of it. I also pinched the case to see if maybe something was loose- still no go.
I know that I'm not the first person to experience this problem but I was wondering if someone had figured out what exactly is causing the problem. Is it the camera itself? Like I said, it was working fine.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Phil

it was from the display protector on the screen?
Most likely that is the reason.  I have a screen protector on and see similar issues when the iPhone is not on.  They're not noticeable when turned on.  Remove it and see the difference.

Have you blown the dust out lately?

  • Display leaves green and purple lines

    Guys
My display leaves green and purple lines when ever I move any windows. I have zapped the PRAM and tested the RAM with memtest. Any ideas as it's driving my crazy

AHT does test the video RAM, so louie's advice is spot-on. If the test doesn't report any VRAM problems and an external display doesn't show the same symptoms, then the fault is somewhere downstream from the logic board, i.e., in the video cable or the LCD itself. AHT isn't able to test those.

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK. Quit and restart the QuickTime Player prior to checking to see if the settings change has had any effect.

You might try a reset by holding the power botton and the home button until you see the apple logo then release them.

  • My iMac display occasionally flashes green and purple horizontal lines... is anyone else having this issue, or know of a fix?

The screen occasionally flashes purple and green horizontal lines across it. Then the buttons on the left side of my menu bar turn fuzzy, and when I click on them they become black rectangles with green and purple lines running thru them. The dock also has a hint of green and purple in it. And some of the shadows around application windows are just black outlines, instead of gradiating shadows. Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone have a fix? I read about the other supposed graphics issues, but I think they're unrelated, or at least left unfixed by the firmware update.

All Macs come with a one year limited warranty.
If you purchased AppleCare, contact info >  http://www.apple.com/support/products/
Why can't you use the Bluetooth keyboard?
According to the link I posted for the AHT..
"For some Apple computers that shipped with OS X Lion, if Apple Hardware Test cannot be found on the hard drive, an Internet-based version starts up instead."
