Media Encoder no launch w/ Queue

I’m a newbie on here so a big thanks to all for all the info and posts.
Installed 5.5 a couple months ago and all has been working perfectly.  Media Encoder has been a dream.  Suddenly, I went to encode a small HD video and when I went to launch “Queue” to encode with AME it looked like it was going to start the queue but when it got to “exporting data” it just disappears.  So I went to encoder and it would not launch that way either…maybe half way and disappears up to loading QuickTime…something.
I can export by clicking the export/encode…no problem.
Saw something about launching with shift-ctrl-atl to delete preferences but would not launch that way either.  Sooooo
Does this sound like I need to reinstall or am I missing something really obvious?  I assume that AME is installed with PPro.  Sorry I am new.
Thanks
John

Thanks...I tried that but it does not come up.
I've never reinstalled this so I'm assuming that it is included in the Premiere Pro installation and not a standalone install?

  • Adobe Media Encoder not launching when I clicked queue in Export Media

    Hi guys,
I have been trying for about 3 weeks now trying to render my work using Adobe Media Encoder but it just won't launch as mentioend in my subject line. Upon clicking on queue, the animation showing "preparing data for export" and "exporting data" appeared and disappeared and then nothing happens. Resuming to work on my project in Premiere Pro becomes impossible and a semi-transparent white screen appears over Premiere Pro and it hangs with a message from Windows 7 appearing saying that Premiere Pro has stopped responding.
Here are a few things that I have tried:
Updating all of my softwares included in the Production Premium Suite CS5.5
Deleting all files in the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\5.5
Pressing Ctrl + Alt +Shift and launching Premiere Pro
Pressing Ctrl + Alt +Shift and launching Adobe Media Encoder
Opening sequence in Adobe Media Encoder to try to render
Called up Adobe Asia Pacific only to be told that I will charged something like USD$39 if they were to help me
    Disabling Mercury Engine Playback capability
The only work around I'm doing now is to copy the files to another computer and rendering from there.
Can anyone else suggest another way or point me in the right direction please?
My com's specs are as follow:
Windows 7 Premium 64-bit Operating System
    16Gb RAM
Intel Core i7 CPU [email protected]
    System type: 64-bit Operating System
    Display Adapter: nVidia GeForce GTX560Ti
    Many thanks people.

The X58 platform uses triple channel memory mode if you use 3 or 6 memory sticks, but if you use 4 slots, memory will only be used in single or dual channel mode, depending on which slots are occupied. Amount of memory has more impact than the mode used, but you may get better performance from 24 GB (6 x 4 GB).
However, I don't think that will solve your issue. Having only two disks is minimum. Adding a disk can certainly help, see Adobe Forums: Generic Guideline for Disk Setup
Have you turned of indexing and compression on both disks, have you uninstalled the sidebar, MSN and games? Have you disabled unneeded services, etc.?
It says Vista but also applies to Win7: Adobe Forums: Guide for installing and tuning a Vista...
DSLR material is usually HD, but .VOB files are SD, so there is a lot of scaling going on when exporting. Make sure you have enabled hardware MPE. Also have a look at Adobe Forums: System requirements for CS5

  • Media Encoder CC won't queue

When I attempt to queue from Adobe Premiere Pro CC to Media Encoder CC using any quicktime setting from the "Format" drop down menu in the export dialog box, Media Encoder just sits there doing nothing.
No luck with the following forum, which suggests a bunch of solutions, (restart AME holding down shift, quit hung instances of Adobe stuff from the activity monitor, etc., etc.) all of which I've tried, to no avail.
    Media Encoder won't queue
If I queue up with any other preset, such as H.264. Everything works fine. But I need to export to quicktime and I have a big series of small clips to export that I need to get started on, so this is really frustrating...
I'm running OS X (10.10) with the latest CC builds of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder..

Yes, import into premiere work fine. The nice part about using AME directly is you don't have to have to create a project or use an old one every time you want to crunch a timelapse. Also, AME has this nice feature where it will autoname the output file IMG[FirstStill]-[LastStill] (ie IMG[GP001234-GP001297]). This was helpful because GoPros change the first number in the sequence every time you stop and start time lapse.

  • APP exporting to A Media Encoder - not launching

I am going to export my video from Adobe Premier Pro to Adobe Media Encoder. Everything appears OK, Media Encoder launches in my doc, but i can't see the Media Encoder window with the cued items in it. I cannot figure out how to view the Media Encoder Window. I'm on a Mac working with CS4 for both softwares. Anyone else have this issue or an idea?
It was working great for me at the office today. Only thing i can think is that i had an external monitor plugged into my MBP there, now i'm just using my laptop. Do you think the Media Encoder window could be displaying off my screen? Can't figure out how to view it.
Please help! I need to export this video asap.

Going between the laptop's monitor and a dual, often causes issues like this. Basically, the other window/program is now off-screen on what is now a "phantom" monitor.
I'd try again, at work, and think about the change that will take place at home. Drag all programs to the laptop's monitor, before you close.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Adobe Media Encoder does not start queue

Hi, 5 days ago I started having problems with AME 6, just updated version 6.0.3.1 (64 bit). I work with premiere 6  version 6.0.5, windows xp, always worked since this week, AME :doesn.t start the queue. after 2 minutes working you can hear the sheep sound and the report says: unknown error, unable to locate or read original file. I updated everything was available, reinstalled the suite (premiere and encore 6), it's still not working.
Do you have any idea about the problem?
    thank you
    Francesco

The status "Waiting" indicates that the job is ready to be encoded. As of CS5.5, AME by default does not start processing the Queue automatically. Instead, it waits for you to start encoding by clicking the Start Queue button in the upper right corner of the window--it looks like the Play button on a media player or editing app. Watch folders are an exception to this rule: jobs that come in via watched folders start automatically by default.
You have the option of having AME start encoding automatically. To enable this, check the "Start queue automatically when idle for <n.n> minutes" and set the desired wait period.

  • Premiere 2014 queue, project does not show up in media encoder

When I queue a sequence in premiere 2014 and media encoder 2014 launches the sequence does not show up in the queue. I can do the same process in cc and it works.

In AME, please try disabling the option on the General tab in Preferences named "Import Sequences Natively." Then close and relaunch AME and double-check prefs to make sure the option remained disabled (we've had a few reports of cases where the setting reverted to Enabled). Now try queuing a job from PPro.
Also, please try dragging the sequence from Premiere's Project panel to AME's Queue, or to a preset in the Preset Browser.
What export format is selected? If you switch to another format, does the job get queued?

  • Media Encoder won't queue

I'm running the latest build of Premiere CC. I can export sequences without issue but if I try to 'Queue' and send to Media Encoder, it won't show up. Basically, Media Encoder will launch automatically as it should be no job actually get's added...It just sits there. I've waited close to 30 minutes with no success. The behaivor is identical to whenever I just launch Encoder on it's own. Thoughts?

    I'm having a similar issue.
Essentially ever since upgrading my OS to Mavericks, Premiere CC can successfully "export", but it cannot "queue" into Media Encoder CC.
All that happens is Media Encoder launches and then it just sits there with a "Not currently encoding" status.
I've restarted, re-downloaded, and verified this issue on two separate machines running two seperate CC accounts.
This is becoming increasingly frustrating as it hinders our editing time, We used to be able to add sequences to the queue and keep on editing but now we must wait for each individual sequence to render.
    Any recommendations?

  • Media Encoder Will Not Launch - MSVCR110.dll

Since I'm not getting any help in the Premiere Forum, I'm re-posting this here....
After installing updates to both MS and Adobe CC this morning, I cannot get the Media encoder to launch. However After Effects launches just fine. Premiere crashes during the splash screen but the error is different.
Media encoder doesn't even make it to the splash screen.

Nevermind, I got it working last night by uninstalling the programs that Patch Tuesday broke. Premiere, Media Encoder, and I found out that Prelude wasn't working either.
All working now after an uninstall, reboot, and reinstall. The patches also reset my creative cloud folder from it's custom location to default.location, and I have to move it back to the other location. My SSD is smallish and I didn't want the data files there, just the OS and the program files.
Good to know. Thanks for reporting back!

  • CS4 Media Encoder doesn't launch

Have been exporting and rendering files in CS4 for years and for some reason, yesterday, ADOBE Media Encoder stopped launching from the export window of PPRO?  I still get the setting box, save box, but when I click okay, nothing happens; ME does not automatically launch.  ME is still there, I can bring it up manually, but it doesn't have the export file in it.
Anyone know why this would drop out suddenly?  No updates/reinstalls, or weirdness from the day it worked to the day it didn't?
Plus, anyone know of a way of getting a PPROJ into ME without going from PPRO?  A short cut, if you will, of dropping a project into an already open ME?
I have searched around for answers to this but have not found a similar issue (I did not have CS3 before, so that whole thread doesn't seem to help me)
    thanks everyone,
    Planetarium Guy

I am afraid I never did get any answers.  I uninstalled everything (I have the whole suite) and reinstalled it.
Then, when I wanted to export from PPRO, AME did launch but didn't have the sequence auto loaded in (as it used to); it just came up and I still had to manually load in the sequence.  After I did all the updates on the reinstall, even that stopped happening; AME stopped launching automatically.
So I have been manually bringing up AME and manually loading in the sequences and then opening the settings from AME to configure the export settings I want (as it doesn't remember what you had saved in the export window of PPRO).
I wish I had an answer for you, but it looks like this work-a-round is what I will using for the near future,
    Au revoir,

  • Premiere CS4 doesn't launch media encoder when exporting. Please help!

Trying to finish up a project but my school just upgraded to cs4 this week. It's running on a mac. I tried to export to no avail, watched a tutorial and saw that media encoder is supposed to launch on export. Since it wasn't launching, I went to media encoder and launched it seperately and re-exported. It still did not work. Is there a patch that needs downloading? Please help me get through this. I need to wrap this up ASAP.
    Thanks!

Here's a great thread I found. Not the answer I was hoping to hear though...

  • Trying to add a comp to Media Encoder Queue, but nothing happens. CC

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall After Effects CC and Premiere Pro CC, and I still can not get Media Encoder to launch.

The trouble is that I can't find AME anywhere. Even after I reinstalled After Effects. I've found numerous downloads to update AME online, but can't do anything since I don't have AME in the first place. OS X 10.9.3.

  • Speech Analysis - media encoder

I am trying to do speach analysis in PR CS5.
    After selecting Analyze Content, OK
The Adobe Media encoder is launched.
    Why?
How do I procede to convert speech to text?

    After selecting Analyze Content, OK
The Adobe Media encoder is launched.
The Adobe Media Encoder window opens requesting files to be added to Queue, and does nothing without input and starting queue and nothing hapens to the metadata in PR.
What "thing" should it be doing? what indicators is there that it is doing "its thing"?
Is there any detailed  documentation for this?

  • Mac OS 10.7 and Premiere Pro CS5 not reading AVI and DV files, not rendering to Media Encoder

    Hi Folks,
I've been wrestling with these problems since I bought my Macbook Pro running Lion (currently v10.7.3). I've had video editing and DVD authoring workflows that have worked perfectly for both CS3 and CS4 with Premiere Pro and Encore. I used to be able to import DV and AVI files and render timelines to Adobe Media Encoder so I can make DVD projects in Encore but it seems there are a lot of broken bits and pieces either with 10.7 or with CS5 or both. I've tired creating new projects or re-editing CS4 Premiere Pro projects that I can still edit with CS4 on my old Macbook Pro with 10.6.8. In fact I've given up on CS5 and I've gone back to my old laptop to edit. My problems with CS5/5.5 are:
1     Can't import DV files - error message saying this is an unsupported format
2     Can't import AVI files - error message saying this is an unsupported format
3     When I export media and try to use Adobe Media Encoder (AME) the render queue doesn't respond to the files being sent from Premiere Pro (PPro). I have to render the files one at a time from within PPro. I have no idea where the queued files go but even if I have AME open it doesn't respond. In CS4 AME would open automatically and wait until I told it to render the files.
4     In Encore I've had trouble burning to DVD. I have to make an ISO file and then burn that using Toast. I'n not particularly fussed about this but while I'm unloading I may as well give you the full picture.
Basically I'm really hating this vcersion of CS5/Mac OS. Lion is like using Vista from what I can tell. On my PCs I went from XP to Windows 7 so I kinda avoided all that pain it it seems the computer gods are smiting good and proper now. I don't care whose fault it is I want Apple and Adobe to fix it or if some kind soul can share their experiences and hopefully how they fixed it I'd be eternally grateful until the next upgrade totally blindsides us all.
Thank you in anticipation --> Mal/Melboure/AU

    Sorry for your troubles.
Pr 5.5.2 is still a bit persnickety for me on 10.6.8, but overall, it's still faster than FCP7 and MC6, and overall pretty dependable.  Imports and plays AVI files just fine.
Lion still isn't ready for prime time, from what I've seen.  Like all Mac OS releases, it probably won't be until 10.7.6 or so.  And that may never happen, becuase 10.8 is purported to be just around the corner.
So, my advice is, if possible, go back to what works, 10.6.8.

  • Media Encoder: "Unknown Error" : one solution

Queued encoding out of Premiere CS5.02 into the Adobe-updated Media Encoder 5.0.1 was giving "Unknown Error" messages (not particularly helpful) and failing to encode properly.
I re-installed the 5.0.0.402 version off my install disc (chose Premiere, then unchecked everything except Media Encoder) and that ran the queue again- no changes to compression settings, file settings or anything. Identical files, just earlier version of Media Encoder.
All 6 queued files compressed without error.
Except that now the sound was out of sync. Checked Premiere, and somehow, despite me being absolutely sure I only ticked "Encoder" on the re-install, it had reverted to 5.0 with its AIFF sync bug.
I then ran the DOWNLOADED 5.02 Premiere patch (NOT the Adobe Updater one which causes my Premiere to lose its extra compression settings and be unable to open previously saved CS5 projects- see here for more info).
    Things now function fine.
This for me so far is the standout feature of my CS5 upgrade: bugs, flaky updaters, horrendous support, and a need to either revert updates or apply them in particular ways.
I wish you all better times.

Can you clarify what your problem is?
Is it that you need the 5.02 update to fix the AIFF sync issue, but that then breaks Media Encoder?
If so, you'll need to re-install Media Encoder. For me, this was choosing Premiere on my CS5 installer and deselecting everything except Media Encoder, but it seemed still to revert Premiere to v5.0 so I then had to run the *downloaded* Premiere 5.02 update.
Do not allow the Adobe Updater to update Media Encoder or you'll hit the same problem again.
If your issue was actually something else, then let me know!

    Is this file location correct?
Why is not using my scratch disk file?
How do I change the file that AME is trying to use?
I have not been able to export a video since I have purchased Premiere CS4.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If you want a quick work-around do not try exporting from Premiere, just save and exit the project after you are through editing.  Open AME and under File, select Add Premiere Pro Sequence, browse for your project file and click on it once--have patience Adobe's feedback here is lousy--your sequence will finally appear in the Sequence window, click on it and then click on OK.  Select your Format,.Preset and Output location.  If you want to tweak your settings just click on the Settings button.  Then hit Start Queue.
Do you have the project on an external removable drive?
