  • Adobe Media Encoder not loading any videos from Youtube.

Some HQ videos I downloaded from Youtube and put into Media Encoder doesn't work.  I have the option of downloading an HD .mp4 or .flv.
For the .mp4s, when I put it into the Encoder the preview and output are both completely black.  When I encode I just get nothing but audio and it's about 4MB.
For the .flvs when I try to load it simply says it can't load.   The lower quality .flv works though.
My primary concern is getting the .mp4 to work.  Not entirely interested in the .flv.  I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.
    Help?

After playing Youtube go to your temp internet
files and copy the file to HDD which is a mp4.
Add this to the Media Encoder and see if it will work now.
If it still does not work, your ME is prob. not working right.
I sometimes use AME as a converter and it handles mp4 just fine.

  • I can't choose Adobe Media Encoder when rendering to video in photoshop

I am trying to export an animation in Photoshop CC.
Under Render to Video, the dialog box does not allow me to choose "Adobe Media Encoder" (it is greyed out)
    Why is that?
I have Adobe Media Encoder CS6 and CC.
    Thanks!

Unfortunately, photoshop cc doesn't support video on mac os x 10.6.8 and that's why you not able to export using the Adobe Media Encoder.

  • Qosmio G30-163: Windows media encoder doesn't recognise video device

I cannot get Windows media encoder to recognise my video camera connected to S-video port (Qosmio G30-163).
I get similar problem with Marratech pro webconferencing application (it crashes after 15-20 second if I try to use it - during the time the application is frosen - in configuration I can see the test picture/video).
If I use InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2 Platinum bundled software for capturing video it works just fine.

    Hi Nesko
In my opinion you see this issue a little bit wrong. You are right about some standards but you must know that every hardware manufacturers dont care much about that. Other way Toshiba as notebook producer can not test all cams and external devices with the unit and also all software you can find on the market. It is a mission impossible.
Qosmio is a multimedia unit and if you read specification about that you will see that you can do everything listed there (watch TV, connect camcorder and create own DVD movies etc.). Every one of us has some specific and unique wishes but nobody can guarantee that everything you want will work.
For example: since almost a year I have Qosmio G20. I have tested it with my camcorder, with VHS recorder using it with preinstalled and also third part software and for every situation I have found solution and it work somehow.
I really dont know which cam you have but if you want to have web conferencing without any problems you should by USB webcam with highest resolutions and frames per second. Web cam will be recognized and installed very fast and you can use it any time. Sorry but web conferencing via MCE and cam is not known to me.
Anyway you can try to contact support. Maybe they have some magic\solution. If you will find out how it works please write again. I am really interested if something like that is possible.
    Good luck!

  • Media encoder not showing in cloud apps

media encoder not showing in cloud apps - I receive an error opening it and I want to reinstall but it is not in the download list

    Hello, Adobe?

  • Media Encoder Not Exporting as DV NTSC

ya, so as the title says. I've gotten too used to the ease of export that Final Cut Pro 6 along with the additional Compressor 3 provides. My problem begins when I open up Media Encoder and drag some video files from a P2 card into it. My export options are very limited.... NO QUICKTIME MOV OPTION. Even when I export the clips or a sequence from Premier Pro CS4, the export options allow me to select Quicktime, but when I submit it, Media Encoder opens and does nothing. It doesn't even load the sequence or clips. How do I get a Quicktime export option?

Crud..... The thing is... reinstalling is a pain, last night I reinstalled without running the clean script but, normally, installing Production Premium crashes my system. I tried reinstalling 6 times last night and it would crash from between checking the system and installing. Giving me the grey, restart your system now, screen. I had to boot in safe mode and install it. Now this happens when I run it and it tries to install media exporter cs4 ...
I can use the app, and export to quicktime, but alot of the other formats are missing and this dialogue box is getting pretty annoying.
and these are the formats I have now

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC renders do not reflect changes to Dynamically Linked After Effects Comps

When rendering a Premiere timeline with a dynamically linked After Effects composition, Adobe Media Encoder will sometimes use an older version of the linked composition (even after I have saved changes in the After Effects comp).
For example, if I correct a spelling mistake on some text in After Effects, save the composition, and then add the sequence to the render queue in Premiere, the final output from media encoder still has the old spelling.
If I do a straight export from Premiere instead of adding to render queue, the output is always correct. I've noticed this problem on several different Windows 8.1 systems.
All versions of the software are up to date as of today.
Why is this? Is it something to do with the disk cache in After Effects? Does media encoder have it's own cache that I need to clear?

Hi, I've been having this same issue.  Here are some additional things I've noticed about it:
Changes are reflected properly when played back on timeline in Pr CC 2014.
Happens regardless if the dynamic link file was rendered or not, thus deleting the render files does not fix the issue.
The issue can persist through saving, closing, and reopening both AE and Pr.
I'm using OSX 10.9.4, so this is not just a PC issue.
Other than manually watching for every change to be reflected in the render, there is no way to know a problem has occurred.  Needless to say this can be incredibly costly.
Please address this quickly, it's completely unacceptable that what we render out could be a different version from what we see on the timeline.
PS Some additional things I will be testing:
Does the issue persist through closing all CC apps, including Media Encoder.
Does rendering directly out of Pr, i.e. not using Media Encoder, fix the issue.

  • Media Encoder CS6 Avid DNxHD video codec settings do not update in video settings tab

I want to encode a file to Avid DNxHD, but I am unable to change the resolution in the codec settings. I am choosing Avid DNxHD codec within the video codec tab, then clicking on codec settings and choosing a resolution from the resolutions pulldown menu. It will let me choose different resolutions from that menu, but after I hit okay, it has no effect on changing the video settings the way it's supposed to. For instance, if I try to encode a file that is 1280x720 with a source frame rate of 23.98, and I choose 1080i/59.94 DNxHD 145 8-bit, the frame size and frame rate does not change in the video settings tab. I am running Media Encoder CS6.0.2 on a Mac with OS 10.8.4. I am using Avid quicktime codecs v.2.3.7, because my system is running Avid Symphony 6.0.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No one ever responded unfortunately and I never figured out a work around.
In Media Encoder CC there is a system preset for DNxHD MXF which I've used
to yield Avid files. The weird thing is that the CC version does the exact
same thing as the CS6 if you choose quicktime, DNxHD codec, and try to
change the codec settings. None of the settings update. If you find out
anything more about this I'd appreciate getting an update. Thanks!

  • Adobe Media Encoder - not encoding entire video

    Hi,
I'm runining CS4 Design Premium on a Windows XP machine. I'm trying to convert an .avi to .flv, but Adobe Media Encoder is only converting the first few minutes of the video. Is there a file size limit for the source media? My .avi is pretty huge, almost 2 GB. Could that be the problem?
    Thanks!

I'd ask you to post in the Adobe Media Encoder forum, but I cannot find one :-( Perhaps the After Effects forum or Premiere forum will know an answer or where to look. People here are not likely to have an answer.

  • Media Encoder Not Encoding Whole Project

    Hi all,
Pulling my hair out here and have deadlines to (maybe) reach.
I am using the trial version of CS6 Premiere Pro, Media Encoder etc through Creative Cloud on a Windows 64bit based machine.
Problem is I am trying to export a sequence (DSLR, 25fps) that is about 1hour 5minutes long (video and audio).
My settings are Mpeg2 DVD Custom, Quality 5, 2 pass VBR min 3, average5, max 7, maximum depth render, tick all the other boxes to make it the best quality etc.
Send it out to media encoder to let it do its thing. wait the hours then end up with a Mpeg2 file that has the full time frame of audio but only 45 minutes of video footage.
I have not rendered the timeline so there are some red and yellow lines but that shouldn't matter?
I have also done this with a video only sequence that came out 20 minutes short too.
Any ideas for a desperate man?
    Thanks heaps in advance,
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
Is content missing at the end of the movie, or is everything there but the duration's wrong?
What app(s) are you using to check the duration of the encoded video?
Try setting in/out points either in PPRO to shorten the sequence to just a minute or so, set Source Range to Sequence In/Out Range, and encode that segment using your custom settings. Is the video still shorter than the audio? If so, then you can use the short segment for the following tests.
What is the multiplexer setting? DVD or None? If None, please try with it set to DVD.
Please try encoding using one of the system presets. If the resulting video is the correct duration, then I have one suggestion and one request:
Suggestion: starting from the system preset, change one setting at a time to match your custom settings, then encode to see if the video duration is wrong. I'd start with Max Depth, then Max Render Quality and Frame Blending of those are enabled in your custom settings.
Request: please post a copy of your custom preset for us to download. If you don't have any place to post it, then you can email it to me at mapes [at] adobe (dot) com.

  • Adobe Media Encoder pausing rendering while working in Premiere Pro

    Hello everyone,
So I am redering a video in Adobe Media Encoder and at the same time I am editing a new one in Premiere Pro.
I noticed that AME is constantly pausing the rendering and did not know why. It turns out that while I'm editing a video in Premiere Pro, I am constantly pressing the space bar to start/pause the video I'm editing. While I do that, AME keeps pausing/unpausing the rendering. Somehow, pressing the space bar in PP has an effect in AME.
I have no clue why it does that because the Premiere Pro window has the focus, not the AME one.
    Has anyone ever seen that?
I use Windows 8 and Adobe CC.

    Hi Rallymax,
Yes I do queue footage by having an Autowatch set up on the directories where the video is written to.  I rarely do a direct export unless testing new settings.
Don't take this as gospel but I too had a feeling that GPU acceleration didn't happen with AME, only direct export.  Not sure where that came from, I did watch some of the recent Adobe TV Web Seminar's about new features of CC products etc, so maybe on one of those?
I found this while trying to find out where I had seen it but it is from AMD site not Adobe so whether it's fully 100% correct I dunno:
    Adobe Media Encoder
The Adobe Media Encoder (AME), with support for OpenCL™ and GPU acceleration, automates the production of multiple encoded versions of source files, sequences, and compositions in Premiere Pro CC. With the GPU-accelerated AME and AMD graphics technology, editors can quickly encode projects and output files for virtually any destination. AMD GPUs handle the heavy lifting, freeing the system’s CPU to perform other functions.
I will try the same test as Jason, if I can find any AVHCD video and see what the results are.  Will be interesting.

  • Adobe media encoder not available in Photoshop CC - attempting to render animation.

I just downloaded CC about a week ago. I'm running it on a 32 bit Windows 8 PC. I've been trying to export video but the adobe media encoder is gray and unavailable. I can't find any support on this issue. I purchased the photography plan as all I needed was Photoshop. Anyone know what to do? When I try downloading the media encoder from the adobe website, nothing happens.

Unfortunately, video features are not supported for photoshoop cc and cc 2014 on windows 32 bit operating systems.

  • AppV - Adobe Media Encoder not in default location?

I'm virtualizing Adobe Captivate 5, which includes Adobe Media Encoder. During virtualization, when I launch AME, I get a message:
Adobe Media Encoder is not being run from the default installation location. This is not a supported configuration."
I never changed the installation location for Captivate... it's going to wherever Adobe has it set to go.
After I hit OK (that's my only choice, no "Don't show me this message again") the app seems to be OK... so if there's a way to change a registry key or something and just get rid of that message, that would probably be fine.

Unfortunately, video features are not supported for photoshoop cc and cc 2014 on windows 32 bit operating systems.
