Media Encoder Vimeo Preset Bug

Hi, all! I've found a strange bug.
I've created 1920*1080 video in AE CC, and decided to publish on my vimeo channel (I have vimeo plus account). So I've rendered it in Encoder and I've decided to use  it's Vimeo HD 1080p 25 render preset. The video rendered fine and played smothely in Media Player Classic (Windows). But I couldn't upload it to my channel! I had an error from Vimeo each time I've tried. So I've rerendered video to avi (h.264), as I usually do, an it uploaded sucsessfully. The question is why video rendered specially for Vimeo, can't be uploaded to Vimeo?
Thanks!

I push the h.264 files to Vimeo all the time using the preset and it works fine for me. Never had a problem at all. Give us some specifics.

  • Problem in Adobe Media Encoder CS6 Presets

This Problem appears to me when I want to export a project in MPEG preset:
I can't export an MPEG Video.
but H.264 and MOV is working.
My program and version is Adobe Media Encoder CS6. And the same is happened in Adobe Premiere CS6 and Adobe AfterEffects CS6.
So my question is: I want a link to choose and download presets fro Media Encoder (New presets or update the standard presets).
With my best wishes to Adobe to move forward.

    OK, give this a shot.

  • Premiere, AE, Media Encoder and title bug?

I think I've run into a possible bug.
I'm editing Canon 7D material with my first clip in the timeline being dynamic linked to AE. On the videotrack above I got a title. Everythings is prerendered ( greenbar above timeline).
Exporting directly in Premiere ( with matched sequence setting ) works like a charm. Fast.
Exporting to Media Encoder works great until it reaches the title above my dynamic linked clip. The render speed drops incredibly.
When I redo this without the title it works in ME. So there seems to be something going on with titles above dynamic linked clips and ME.
    Can anyone confirm this?

So, just to be clear, you're having a problem playing the sequence within Premiere when it reaches the embbeded After Effects file, or encoding the file through Media Encoder simply slows down when it reaches the portion of the timeline where the AE file is embedded? If it's the latter, then it's just a matter of the encoder having to process a more robust file. It's common when there's an embedded AE sequence, and/or when there are a lot of effects applied.

  • Media Encoder issue or bug? 720p50 to 720i50

Can anyone confirm a Media Encoder issue, happening when converting progressive 50-fullframe (or 60 for ntsc) to 50-interlaced frames?
I tried to convert DVCProHD 720p50 clips to PAL DVD wich uses 576i50 (25 frames devided to 50 interlaced frames). The result was, that every second frame of the source clip was skiped, so I received a PAL clip in 25 full-frames (25p). And it didn't matter which field-order I choosed (upper/lower/progressive) - the result was always the same.
when converting p50 to i50 I would expect, that AME would convert these 50 full-frames to 50 interlaced-frames with the field order I choosed. For example Canopus Procoder is working this way.
Btw, I lost the link, where to report Premiere bugs to adobe. Can anyone post it, please?

    See:

  • Media Encoder CS6 Presets Mac

Where are the presets contained on a Mac? I've looked every where. Loaded the Pro Res presets to many times & there are multiples showing up in AME. Confussing & I would like to delete them.

It doesn't matter where the suite is installed. The preferences should be in the following directory:
    /Users/"Your_Username"/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Common/6.0/Presets
Some of the directories will be hidden if you are navigating one level at a time so you can do the following:
    0. Open Finder
    1. Top Menu -> Go -> Go To Folder... (CMD+Shift+G)
    2. Copy and Paste the following string: ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Common/AME/6.0/Presets
    3. Press "Enter" key
Thanks for the bug. I agree that we shouldn't allow duplicates in system presets.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC or media encoder MFX OP1a Bug

Hi I'm outtputting for broadcast TV Commercial and getting a consistant audio issue with adobe premiere pro cc MFX OP1a using IMX30 pal export master. Orginial project is HD exported AVI from After effects, audio is .wav 48k. The audio has a glitch where it almost seems to drop out by a frame. I tried this over and over again with all my projects and the same issue. It's usually around 1 second in and occurs once. My projects are 30 second in length or 15 second at a time. I have ended up going back to Adobe CS6 so I can fix this issue and send to the tv station for playout (cs6 is fine). Is there any chance someone could look into this or check to see if there is an issue here?  I have tried this on all our computers here running CC and the same issue.

Bumping this as it seems to be an update issue. I have noticed it now with premiere pro cs6 update. Works fine for 6.0.3 but the update to 6.0.5 has the same issue as above. Have reported this to Adobe however don't see any changes, this is a major problem since this is the broadcast standard for uploading to station down in NZ and the media uploaded has confirmed other cases of this issue around.

  • Missing presets for Adobe Media Encoder 6.0

Im missing my DVD preset's in Adobe Media Encoder 6.0.   I recently  downloaded the Production Suite from the cloud.   How do I get them?
If I open Media Encoder the preset is there but if I send it to Queue it changes the encoding to AAC audio only.  If I use the Export setting in the media encoder it works fine.

  • Premiere Pro / Media Encoder crash during encoding

Afternoon guys, wonder if anyone has any tips on how to solve my issue. It's a new pc that I'm working on, my first project on it, everything working great in terms of the edit, but crashing whilst encoding both through Premiere Pro and Media Encoder with an error message (below). I'm not great with this stuff so please let me know if I need to provide more info and I'll provide much information as I can.
    I'm a creative cloud user.
-Premiere Pro cs 6 (6.0.3) - I have tried to re-install the software, and ran all the updates yesterday after the install. Problem still persists.
    -Encoder cs6 (6.0.3.1)
-Windows 7 Professional service pack 1, 64bit. Whilst I was online re-installing Premiere Pro windows did some updates (I generally keep my editing pc's offline).
-DSLR footage (.mov) for video, up to 3 sources of video (nested for multicam shoot) and running one source of audio (mp3 file). Two of the timelines I'm trying to encode are about 45 minutes long.. I have succesfully encoded other clips (a 5 minute, and a 35 minute previously. Miraculously this morning I encoded a 1h12m clip using the mpeg2-dvd preset with only adjustment of quality bumped from 4 to 5). So this was encoded after all the updates, however since then everything else is not working.
-Initially encoder was either freezing, or giving me an error message. Since re-installing all the software yesterday it now does not freeze, but I get the error message: "Adobe Media Encoder CS6.0 has stopped working... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I get the same message when encoding with both AME and Premiere Pro.  I click "close" from here and nothing else happens.
-Trying to export to mpeg2-dvd, I have tried the PAL widescreen preset, as well as trying to adjust the settings, doesn't seem to make a difference, the error message pops up different points during encoding.
-The only plugin I have used is magic bullet looks for some grading. It also fails to encode with no plugins used.
    -PC     - Intel i7-3770 @ 3.40ghz,
              - 32GB ram
              - Operating system and Adobe Suite on c: (SSD 240gb)
              - Project source footage (video, audio, etc) f: (2tb)
              - Encoding files to e: (SSD 240gb)
              - my case is an Antec 902, with no additional fans. It does sound like it's working harder during encoding, not sure if a heat issue could be causing the software to error?
-I am using the mercury playback engine with a Gefore gtx 680 (2gb).
I have not been able to find any definitive answeres with regard to the crashes. I did also have encoder hanging whilst reading the xmp file. I have tried encoding video only (audio disabled) and whilst it doesn't hang during reading of xmp file, it still stops working with the above error message.
I also run an older PC with i920, 24gig, gtx570 and it never crashes but performs much slower. It is also running windows 7, same setup but different hardware. Not sure if the hardware on my new pc could be causing the issues, if you you guys have any troubleshooting tips it would be much appreciated. At this point i have tried starting a new project, new timelines, nothing seems to work, so I have transferred the data to my old pc for encoding (as I need to deliver the discs to a client), but I need to get this new setup working properly.
    Cheers,
    Stevan

    Hi Axel,
Thanks for your suggestions, I just tried cleaning out the media cache and also rendered out a wav file of the audio and placed it in the timeline and deleted the mp3 version.. Tried once again to encode an mpeg2-dvd file.
1st attempt encoding through Media Encoder, pal widescreen with variable bit rate set to 6, 7 and 8 = everything froze, had to restart via button.
2nd attempt encoding through Media Encoder = this time tried video only same settings just no audio = same error (Adobe Media Encoder cs6.0 has stopped working...)
3rd attempt encoding through Premiere Pro, same settings with audio = same error message.
4th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, pal wide preset as standard with no change = same error message.
5th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, h264 preset for vimeo, 720p = same error message.
6th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, AVI (Uncompressed) 720 x 480 preset. 1m40s in the dreaded blue screen appeared. "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval. " Bla bla bla.
In all instances the encoding is absolutely flying, but always ends up crashing.

  • Adobe media encoder in PP CS3

    Hi there
I'm using Premiere Pro CS3, when I try to launch Adobe media encoder or Matrox media encoder, the program bugs. Any help? I'm very new in this field.
    Thanx

Pull the Matrox out. Try with a standard project and likely your problems are solved.
Matrox cards are best used in a fashion they were designed for, as a doorstopper.

  • MPEG-2 option missing from Adobe Media Encoder (ver7.2.0.43)

    Hi all,
Having an issue getting the MPEG-2 option for our Creative Cloud installation, specifically in Media Encoder's presets.
The following steps were recommended on another Adobe forum addressing this issue:
1.Uninstall Adobe Premiere Pro or the Creative Suite.
2.Run the cleanup script found here: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
3.Reinstall Adobe Premiere Pro or the Creative Suite.
    4.Launch Adobe Premiere Pro.
5.When prompted for activation during launch, ensure that the computer is online and complete activation.
If the computer cannot be brought online, complete the offline activation during the first launch of the software. Do not choose to activate later.
6.After Activation, close and restart Adobe Premiere Pro.
We have been able to run through steps1 to 4, however the Activation option in #5 does not appear at all (must be activation is included as part of our CC license).
Without the option to deactivate/activate Premiere how can we go about getting the MPEG-2 option to appear?
    Thanks again

    Hi Jim,
I'm having the same problem of the mpeg 2 codecs missing from adobe media encoder.  I have 2 computers and on both of them the mpeg 2 options for encoding have disappeared today.  Can you please help?

  • So I have made a .f4v file in Media Encoder, now what?

Media Encoder's presets are all about making .f4v files rather than .flv files out of video clips, so I figure it is the prefered format, but DW in CS4 seems to have never heard of them.  What's up?  How am I supposed to use these .f4v files in DW?
    -- Don

Adobe Media Encoder, without warning, embeds a huge iSkySoft logo in the upper left hand corner of every movie I put in the queue.  I did find a way around it, though.  One must specify Flash 9.0 or above to avoid the un-invited logo embed.  Absolutely disappointing. I read in a post that the Encoder is a stand alone added to CS4.  Dreamweaver will only accept FLV or FL4 files, and the Media Encoder will supply this, but at a hidden cost.  Really, all users must download Flash 9.0 to view my videos without the iSkySoft logo?

  • Exporting from Media Encoder using Vimeo Preset and getting pixelated footage in a specific location

I am exporting a video using Vimeo preset 1080p 23.976 H.264.  Everytime I export the entire video approx 5 minutes long I get pixelated footage at a very specific point every time.  I've tried multiple workarounds, relinking the media, exporting to different location (willing to try anything at this point).
When I just export the specific problem area the problem is non existent.
    Any advice/help is greatly appreciated.

I am using the CC version, so I should be up to date from my understanding.
Magically, that worked!  I'm just curious why I had that problem in the first place?  Any insight?
Thanks again! You're quick response is much appreciated!

  • Media Encoder CC - Bug or just finicky?

I'm confused about Media Encoder, and hoping someone can help.
I have a short film that's primarily 4K ProRes augmented with some "flashbacks" that are 1920 by 1080 h264 files.  All edits beautifully in my 4K ProRes timeline.
I have some Magic Bullet B&W corrections on the 1080 footage.  On the 4K footage, I just have an overall grade in an Adjustment Layer (for now).  I can play in Software Mode (CUDA won't work on my Retina Mac - separate thread!) at 1/4 resolution.  The 4K stuff looks great, the 1080 pretty bad.
I've been outputting by matching sequence settings.  The file is TITANIC, but looks great.  I use that file to make various smaller files in APPLE COMPRESSOR.  I find it better and more flexible (especially with cropping for 2.35, etc.)  What can I say.  All in all, the workflow works for me.
So here's the problem.  Today I wanted to use In and Out to export a small section for music review with a colleague.  No need to have a huge file, I just used Media Encoder in a Vimeo SD mode.
In the first attempt, the 1080 stuff oddly looked terrible.  Just as it does when viewed at 1/4 resolution.  To make sure everything was okay, I outputted that section at Matched Sequence settings.  All good - the 1080 stuff had the Magic Bullet B&W look working great.
Then I tried again with the Vimeo SD setting.  Only this time I checked Render at Maximum Resolution.  Took FOREVER, but all good again.  The 1080 stuff was fine.
Next I renendered "in to out" in my sequence (I hadn't done so previously - I was working "red line").  Output without checking Max Render Quality.  Back to the horrible 1080 stuff.
Finally, I chose "use previews", but not max render.  All good again.
So, at last a question.  Does this make sense?  I never before had to use either Maximum Render OR Use Previews to get acceptable quality with "device" settings.  Is this a bug?  Or related to my disparate picture sizes?  Or something else?  Thank you all!

    [Moved to AME forum.]
I can see where this would be expected behavior.

  • Pixel Aspect Ratio bug in Media Encoder export

Having a weird bug in media encoder exports that I can't seem to figure out. I have a 1080p sequence with a mix of 1080p footage and PAL DV assets. The PAL assets have a pixel aspect ratio of 1.0940. When I format them in my Premiere sequence, I am able to scale them correctly and they look fine. When I export them directly from premiere to broadcast standards it's also fine.
However, when I try to export these sequences in Media Encoder via File->Export->Media-> Queue using the same exact settings (I'm using a preset), Media Encoder formats the PAL assets as if they have square pixels. Thus, half of the footage in my sequences gets horizontally "squished." Note that this does not happen for footage that natively has square pixels, such as my 1080p camera footage.
Has anyone encountered this bug? It seems strange to me that Media Encoder would treat items in a sequence differently that Premiere during export, I was under the impression they were using the same rendering engine... It's really a problem as I'm going to have to crank out multiple versions of this 48-minute film and not being able to queue those exports is going to be a huge headache.
Using latest version of CC 2014.1 (8.1.0).
