  • Help finding Media Encoder CC download

I can not find a download icon for Media Encoder CC. I am a complete CC member, and it doesn't show up in my application manager. I have tried searching through the site and google for any sort of link. I come up empty. Any help would be appreciated.

AME is installed along with Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Flash. It's not listed separately.

  • Media Encoder cs6 download?

Flash typically comes with media encoder but my download of Flash CS 6 did not install CS6 media Encoder and I need it to create an flv file since Adobe stupidly deprecated the format in subsequent versions of Media Encoder. All links I've found so far tell me I can not install the Media encoder because all I seem to be able to find is updates.
Here's the link i find on the site: Adobe - Adobe Media Encoder : For Windows : Adobe Media Encoder CS6.0.1 for Windows 64-bit
Anyone know where the original installer is?

there is no stand-alone ame installer.
reinstall your flash cs6 to reinstall ame cs6.

  • Media Encoder.exe Download

Hello. I have a big problem. I downloaded After Effects CC2014 and with that Media Encoder CC 2014...for testing. Now a problem with my computer forced me to make a system reset to a day before...when i done that, after effects and media encoder still were installed, but the .exe of both programs were lost somehow...I could deinstall after effects but could noch the media encoder with my windows 8.1...so Adobe downloader also thinks, I have still installed Media encoder even I deleted the whole media encoder libary...what else must I delete so that I can download it again?
Sorry for my bad English...Im from Germany!

  • Adobe Media Encoder wont preserve widescreen

    I have a mp4 file that has a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels.
When viewed in VLC it looks natural and in proportion. I simply
want to convert the .mp4 file to an .flv file for web distribution
maintaining the existing dimensions. I am attempting to do this
    with Adobe Media Encoder.
The problem is that Adobe Media Encoder insists on converting
the file to a 4:3 aspect ratio with a resolution of 480x360 pixels.
Viewing the output in VLC results in a squashed out of proportion
image. The output preview in Adobe Media Encoder also looks
    squashed.
When I select the option to specify the output dimensions and
manually set the resolution back to 640x360, in then adds to solid
black bars on the right and left-hand sides of the video which is
undesirable - aswell as making the video squashed. I have messed
around with every setting and have had no joy in producing the
    output I require.
I have a command line version of ffmpeg which is able to
convert the video successfully (keeping the correct aspect ratio)
    using the most basic command: ffmpeg -i input.mp4 output.flv . I
don't want to resort to using ffmpeg at this point. I just spent
$1200 AU to upgrade to CS4 Design Premium and want to use the nice
GUI I just paid for :)
Any help would be appreciated. Has anyone has a similar
problem with AME CS4 (I found at least one instance on the web)?
IMO it is a bug with the software - or a limitation, please tell me
    I am wrong!

I am having the same problem, with the same dimensions - 640x360, coming from a very high quality .avi, and not matter how I tweak the settings AME insists on crushing the width down to what appears to be the standard 582px. What gives? I haven't seen any answers to this yet...

  • Adobe Media Encoder wont Render from Beginning

Hi there I am trying to render a After Effects Project but when i try to render in Media Encoder it will only render from 1.47.26sec into my project ot the start,
i have tried to adjust the Source range in Encioder as well as make sure the work area is the full clip in after effects but cant figure it out, help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Have never tried what you're doing. Perhaps Export a new clip from AE using a lossless codec, and then use AME on that clip? On Mac, use ProRes, and for PC you can install UT, Lagarith, or Avid DNxHD for instance.

  • Media Encoder will download update but then fail

I get a push notification by Creative Cloud on my 13" MacBook Pro late 2013 and the update will reach 100% then "fail". When it gives an option to "Learn More" it just open finder with many application files.

Media encoder update fail do you receive any specific error messages?  If not then I would recommend reviewing the installation log file for the exact error message.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • Media Encoder wont refresh comps from AE

I have an incredibly frustrating issue with the way AME operates. I can't seem to find a way to refresh, or update a comp in the render queue. If I am about to render and notice something is wrong in the Comp, I just cant go into after effects, make the change, save and have it update in AME. I have to shut down AME, go back to AE, and send to AME again. And if I had already placed a bunch of presets, and file destinations on the renders I have to do that ALL OVER AGAIN.
Am I missing something? Why is it using Dynamic Link when it's not really dynamically linked at all?

AME uses Dynamic Link, but not in the same way DL works between After Effects and Premiere Pro. The link does not stay live.
Instead, AME loads a copy of the project into memory. You want it to do this; if you were allowed to change the project mid-render then bad things would happen.
What version of After Effects and AME are you using? There were some changes in the most recent (CC) release related to this. Specifically, now when you send a comp to AME a snapshot (a copy) of the AE project is made on disk (look in the project directory/projectName_AME), and this is the file that AME references. Premiere Pro does a similar thing, and has since prior to CC, but it stores the project file in a temp directory.
This workflow eliminates the problem of AME getting confused about the state of the project if you make changes. The downside is that after any change you will need to add your comp to AME again.
The benefit of this approach is versioning. If you send a comp or sequence to AME, that reference remains static. If you make further changes to the comp and need to return to a prior version, or simply need to inspect the history, the state of the render at the time you added the comp is maintained.
Now, all that said, I understand the case you're presenting, that you simply want to make some corrections after you've set up the comp in AME but before starting the render. Making AME behave this way will make it more flexible, but a certain amount of complexity will also be introduced. The best solution will probably be to let the user choose whether to keep the comp live or to take a snapshot.

  • Media Encoder From AP-Pro not working

    Hi,
I'm trying to export a premiere pro file, I go through the "export settings" like normal and then "ok", it goes to "exporting data" but then doesn't go anywhere.
Normally it should access the "Adobe Media Encoder" but it does nothing. When I try to access "Adobe media encoder from the programs it comes up with the error message:
"Adobe Media Encoder.exe - Entry Point Not Found" - "The procedure entry point ??0NewHandlerInitializer@ErrorManager@config@@QAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library dvacore.dll".
So I'm guessing it needs reinstalling but where do I get it from? It is not in the Premiere setup files and it's not on the adobe website, only the updates are.
    I'm using Windows XP and AP-Pro CS4
    Regards,

Just had the same problem. I have had cs2 cs3 and cs4 on the same PC Windows XP Pro.
The exact error message as the o.p. was appearing during export from Premier and when opening Encore.
I was able to resolve this issue after weeks by simply ...
Close all Adobe programs and restart computer.
    Go to Windows>Control Panel>Adobe Version Cue CS4
Adobe Version Cue Server window will appear.
Make sure your firewall is not blocking Version Cue or Adobe Updater.
    Click Updates tab.
    Click "Check for Updates" button.
Adobe Updater will connect with the update server. Click Details.
Checkmark Media Encoder and Photoshop Media Encoder.
Download the latest Adobe Media Encoder updates.
Im finally encoding right now so Im not stopping to look at the update version, lol. but my current version of Media Encoder is now 4.2.0.006

  • Media Encoder CC 2014.0.1 error on install: I can't unpack the downloaded files (translation).

I have troubles with the latest update of Media Encoder CC (2014). I get an error which says: I can't unpack the downloaded files (translated from Dutch). Please try again. I try again, but it don't help. I have a MacPro early 2008 with Mavericks.

Looks like one component in Media Encoder is either missing or corrupted somehow.
Could you uninstall Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 and please make sure all files are deleted after uninstall?  Then, please try re-installing it.

  • Creative Cloud Packager fails when downloading Media Encoder 7.2.2 update

    Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone else is seeing this.
I am attempting to use CCP 1.4 (Macintosh platform) to build a package for deployment to the Macs in our department. It is failing, specifically, when trying to download the Adobe Media Encoder 7.2.2 update, which I understand was released a few days ago. All other selected components download properly and the package will build if I deslect Adobe Media Encoder before building.
I have successfully reproduced the issue on two different systems, have tried purging the cache folder that CCP uses, moving it to another location/disk etc, all with no joy. Here is a snippet from the log:
    04/11/14 09:20:22:455 | [INFO] |  | ASU | EnterpriseNative | EnterpriseNative |  |  | 1315279 | downloadupdates returned error Code :U43M1D204

Wondering if anyone else is seeing this or if anyone has any suggestions please?
    Thank you and warm regards,
    Neil.

    Hi Karl,
I'm just following up to ask whether there has been any progress at your end with this - as I'm sure you'll understand, I am anxious to deploy CC to our machines and can't do so until this is resolved.
    Thank you again and regards,
    Neil.

  • ProRes presets for Media Encoder CC now available for download

    Hi everyone,
We have new ProRes output presets available for Media Encoder CC. You can download the presets here
While the new presets do not add new functionality to Media Encoder, they do provide added convenience. By definition, these presets are for use on Mac OS. If you are on Mac OS X 10.8, or 10.9, the ProRes codecs come installed with your operating system. If you are using Mac OS X 10.7, you will need to install one of the Apple Pro apps (Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, etc.) for the presets to function correctly.
Here’s what’s new with the Media Encoder CC ProRes presets:
Preset names have been updated to say "SD" (instead of “DV")
The Field Order of PAL SD presets changed from "Lower" to "Upper"
Frame Size of NTSC SD presets changed from 720x480 to 720x486. This is based on Apple's ProRes specifications. If 720x480 versions are needed you can create your own User presets with these settings.
Enhanced support for multi-track audio sources. New "Audio Track Layout" and "Channel Layout" sections let you specify the number of exported tracks, track types (single track, dual mono, or stereo pairs), and channel mapping for 5.1 audio
Please note: the ProRes presets should only be installed on AME CC (7.x). They may not work correctly in AME CS6 or earlier versions.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
    Eric

    Hi Eric,
Much appreciated, but I was wondering when we might expect a framerate and resolution independent way of transcoding media?
Sometimes (as in most of the time) I don't really care about changing resolutions or retiming anything, I usually just have a pile of media that I would like to conform to a single codec, independent of framerate or resolution, like at this very moment.
Right now I need to transcode 100+ clips in various flavors of h.264, mp4, and animation codec in order to get this media into Resolve.  I don't want to have to specify different framerates and resolutions, I just want them transcoded to ProRes.
The presets are nice, but the ability to do what I'm needing would greatly reduce the need for presets like these.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks!

  • Why is Media Encoder app not listed in the apps for download in CC?

Media Encoder application does not appear in the list of apps I can download from Creative Cloud.
It appears as separate application in the Adobe products, so NOT part of Premiere Pro or similar.
How can I get to download the Media Encoder app?
