Media information in itunes!!! HELP!!!!!!
ok.. heres the problem. ive gotten my ipod working fine and im really happy about it. i had an mp3 player before this (not an ipod) and i found the media info through windows media player, and all the album art etc. showed up. but whats the use of having such an expensive ipod when you cant see the media information. whenever i say get cd track names in itunes, it tells me to import the song again using itunes. i cant rip the cd again because most of my music is downloaded! is there anyway to find media info and album art without all the trouble of manually dragging the pictures into itunes, or entering the artist, song name etc. by hand?

Regarding your title problem (not being able to view your account information in iTunes), can you give more details? What happens when you click on the account e-mail in the upper right corner of the iTunes Music Store? Are you able to sign in? -
Using Media Monkey and ITunes help
I have used Media Monkey for years to sync, burn, play... (I used to have a Sansa Mp3). I like the interface much better on Media Monkey and my children find it easier to just pull up and play music. We now have 2 ipod in our family and I am trying to get used to Itunes-not a fan yet. I want to make sure that I am not doubling up on my downloads. Can I save everything from my ripped cds to my music folder only. Sounds like Itunes automatically creates a back up folder?? Also, how do I move a song without it losing it's path in Itunes. I downloaded to my desktop so the songs were easy to find, after I added them to Itunes and Media Monkey I moved them to my music folder and Itunes could not locate the songs. So I guess overall I am trying to understand the most efficient avenue to download to Itunes and Media Monkey.
To my disappointment I have just Uninstalled Media Monkey. I was hoping to purchase the full license but the program is still in its development stage. It is full of bugs.
1) The Tech support didn't even try to solve the problems 2) The tagging of files is useless. 3) creating playlists is problematic (it won't let you put the tracks in the order you want)
The best program for ripping is Nero. I have to use itunes for syncing and updating.

HELP! Is there a way to change column information in iTunes such as name of artist, genre etc, other than deleting them one at a time? Such as the way you delete an entire group of songs by holding down control keys or selecting the Select All command. Thanks.
If you select all the songs you want to change, Be it one song or an akbum, or an Artist, Or Genre, or playlist. Then Right mouse click and Get Info. You then get a slightly different from normal Get Info box as this is the One for Multiple items.
In there have a look at the tags and see if the one you want to changes is in there. There are a few tabs so if for example you wanted to change the Media Type from Home Movie to Movie go to the Options tab and select Movie and OK and it will change the whole selection. -
How do I get my music from Media Center to my iphone 4s. Itunes 10.5 won't import the MC music library, and MC won't recognize and synch to the iphone plugged into the USB port so I can't load playlists from MC to my iphone. Itunes help doesn't work.

As you know, your iPhone 5 is not compatible with our iBook G4. To get your music in iTunes from your iBook to your iPhone you would need to migrate the music files to a newer intel based Mac. A Mac which has Mac OS X 10.6 or higher installed. Then sync your iPhone 5. -

I cannnot get overdrive media to recognize itunes for down loading library books or media. I tried "I think everything" Overdirive say I must download latest version of itunes. I have aremoved replaced downloaded 15 times tried older version. HP could not solve they said call you. Well I searched done the manual thing my computer recognize Overdrive but not you Please help.

Whenever I try to enter my credit card information into iTunes via either my mac book or my iphone it says there is an error and says "for assistance, please contact itunes support, etc...". Can anyone help with this?

My old computer crashed and deleted my iTunes media file with all my playlist.However, my iPod has the playlist I lost on the computer. How can I replace (reverse synch?) my iPod media information back onto my (now reinstalled) virgin iTunes media folder?
Yes it's possible to sync music back from a iPod back into iTunes that (I assume) wasn't purchased on the iTunes Store.
Apple allows iTunes Store purchases on devices to be reversed back into iTunes, just not cd rips and stuff like that. For that it's a one way trip to the device from iTunes.
I likely can't suggest such software here, but if you visit iLounge you can ask what is the latest software that works for your platform.
Really it only takes a mere few minutes to backup your iTunes Library and stick in a few cd/dvd's or a external drive. iTunes even has a menu command for it to make it oh so simple. Please use it and backup all your data.
Hard drives fail, computers burn up, thieves steal, stuff gets forgotten. Plan for something happening because it will.

I have tried 4 days to get iTunes 10.4 working on my Win7 x64 machine. I purchased a new iPhone4 and after syncing it the first time, I can't connect to the iTunes store.
When I try to run iTunes Help, I get this message "iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn’t connected to the Internet." However IE9 and Google Chrome run as always...... no connection problems.
I have already uninstalled IE9 x64 and iTunes 10.4 x64 and reinstalled but still the same. I followed all the instructions I could find about firewalls, ports, SSL etc.

Hey I have some files ( here 3 for example).
I put them into the "Automatically add to iTunes" Folder.
After that iTunes sorts them without any problem.
But based on which information does iTunes sort them?
I looked into the details of the file but i cannot find the structure.

Mk-maddinPast experience suggests that iTunes doesn't handle files with multiple tags well. I've not worked out which tag gets read when there are multiple tags but I've seen cases where iTunes can update one while reading back unchanged data fom the other.
At the file level iTunes will organize the files first by Album Artist, or if blank, Artist, or if blank use Unknown Artist. If the tracks have the custom iTunes property Part of a Compilation = True then they get stored in the Compilations folder instead of under their artist.
The next layer of folders is based on Album title or Unknown Album if none given.
FIles are stored in the format [[<Disc> ]## ]<Name>.<Ext> where leading disc numbers are omitted if the the disc no. reads 1 of 1 or 1 of <Blank>.
Tracks with the same Album Artist or Artist and the same Album title should be grouped together in iTunes as albums.
Within the iTunes interface sorting is based on the first non-empty value from Sort Album Artist > Album Artist > Sort Artist > Artist and Sort Album > Album.

I've read a FAQ of selling indie music in itunes on American version of your website, but there is only an instruction about selling music in U.S. and Europe region - not for Russia.
Also i trying to find any faq on Russian Apple web site, but there is nothing.
Also i would to know what about Apple-approved aggregators and encoding houses in Russia?

Hi there,
hope you can help me. I helped my sister convert her window media files to itunes and set up an account for her. Unfortunately her computer is really slow and it was really late and we had to turn it off. It processed some of the album art for the files that it had converted. However, some songs were not converted and because there was quite a few left, I don't really know which ones did not get converted as I selected all of the folders. How do I find out which ones I have left to convert and put the rest of the songs onto itunes for her please? Or are they on the itunes still as they showed up initially on itunes in the list to be converted.
Thank you!You could convert them all again and then dedupe, or use a Windows search to reveal all the WMA files and then try to work out which still need to be converted. If you're lucky iTunes would have processed the imports in alphabetical path order so it would just be a matter of working out where it had got up to...

Macbook Pro solid state hard drive?
I am getting ready to order a new MacBook Pro. What is the advantage, if any, of the solid state drive option? I would assume this is something that has no moving parts thus the computer could be moved while in use and there is greater dependabilty.
