Media key volume control stepper, how to change?

So I just started using kdemod, and I got my multimedia keys working but I'm wondering how to change the volume stepper? Right now it changes the volume by 10% for every step made by my media volume control keys. I would like to have it set to something more sane like 2-3%. Anybody know what I'm talking about or can offer some help? Thanks.

Hi,
"Default value" tab is in Work center. Check for the same in CR02 (Workcenter change view)
In CA02, in Operations Overview, you can change the control key in the routing.
  Hope this is clear now..

  • Media keys (volume, brightness, mute ect.) only work as F-keys.  How do i fix them?

I have a macbook air 13 newer model (mid 2013) and after installing Maverick OS X version 10.9.2, my function keys only work as function keys (F1, F2, F3...) but do not do any of the media fuctions (play, forward, back, volume, mute, brightness...).  I have tried going to keyboard setting and making sure the option to use as standard function keys is not set.  With or with out the check mark they still only work as F keys, even when I press and hold fn key or not.  I have tried doing a wipe of hard drive and doing a new install of maverick twice but that did not help.  I have tried rebooting into safe mode and then rebooting back but still no luck.  I don't belive this is a hardware problem since the keys work as F-keys.  Maybe it is missing some driver or something but I have no idea what to do.  My keyboard is set to US on the imput source setting.  All updates seem to be up to date.  What else can I do to fix this issue.

When you booted into Safe Mode did the function keys operate properly? If so then the problem is somwhere in your account or with some kernel extension you have loading. (Only Apple's most vital kernel extensions are loaded in Safe Mode.) If the function keys operate properly in Safe mode let us know.
You referred to reinstalling Mavericks. If you used a backup to migrate your applications and data afterwards it is possible you migrated the problem right back onto the computer. I have had Mavericks installed on a number of computers ranging from a 2007 iMac to a 2013 Mac mini (and some notebooks) without the problem you describe so I'm pretty confident that it isn't Mavericks itself but rather something else is involved in the equation.

  • When I key in control-n, how can I get a new window instead of a new tab?

I would like to get a new window instead of a new tab when I key control-n or when I click on a link. Can I do this?

    '''Hey mickeyten'''
1 way to do this is that Goto Options > Tabs > Here Uncheck this Option: '''Open a new window in a new tab instead'''.
This will open a new window each time time for every New Link or New Tab you open.
    Hope this helps you alot.

I want to install Creative Cloud on my Mac but get the Error Code 22 for a case sensitive volume. It says I should choose a different volume to install but doesn't offer any way to choose the installation volume. How to I tell the installer to use my 2nd harddrive instead of my system drive?

  • Remapping PC Keyboard keys for volume control

I got an XArmor keyboard because I love mechanical keyswitches. Works great with my Mac.
However, I do miss having volume control.
How can I remap keys like say Option->Apple->+ to be the increase volume key?
The +, -, and enter keys on the numeric keypad would be great for volume control.
The only software I found so far for doing this was very clumsy and unreliable: Sparks.

Use the side edge volume controls.
There's no keyboard controls that I know of, other than the # key might place your device on the Silent profile (or the top edge MUTE key )

  • How does iTunes volume control affect digital output?

I'm using iTunes on a Mini with an external USB DAC. The volume control and equalizer inside iTunes affects the volume so it must be processing the digital data in some fashion.
It doesn't appear you can disable the volume control so how do I know what, if any volume setting outputs a digital stream that has not been processed by iTunes?

  • Mac Book Pro Media keys no longer work

    Hi,
I installed a third party 'mac' keyboard that has media keys, Volume, Play pause etc...
Now, my MBP keyboard's keys dont work.. Brightness, Volume, backlight are all unresponsive.
Is there a package i can install that will reset them?

Hi Phil, welcome to the discussions!
I'm not sure if this is the problem but if you go into the system preferences, click keyboard & mouse and then click the keyboard tab, there is an option there that says, "Use the F1-F12 keys to control software features." If this option is ticked, you will have to hold the Fn key whilst pressing the F1/F2 keys to change brightness. The media keyboard installation may have changed this for you.

  • Media source Volume Cont

This is probably a really dumb question, but is there any way to stop the volume control in mediasource from changing the volume for everything? I have mediasource playing music and another piece of software such as a game making noise. I'd like to have the music reduce in volume, but for the life of me I cannot find an option to do so.
    Ta in advance.

    Hi !
I just tried the volume thing with Creative Media Source and In fact it does change the System Volume/ I looked in the options and there's no way to fix it. But on the advanced volume window, there's a category called "Wave Sound". You can adjust this one without interfering with Creative MediaSource volume.
    Hope it'll help...

  • Is there a volume control specific for Facetime?

I'm wondering if there is a way to control the volume of Facetime without using the main volume control (like how you can control the volume of Skype within the application itself). Some kind of separate application or tweek?
    Thank you.

No, there is no audio volume control specifically designed for the Facetime application.  I'm using Snow Leopard 10.6.8 here but I'm sure this info also applies to your osx.  You'll find that Facetime is not nearly as sophisticated as skype, at this point in time.

  • How to remap volume control keys on aluminum keyboard?

I want to remap my volume control keys (increase, decrease and mute toggle) to F16, F17, and F18 on my new aluminum keyboard. But I can't figure out how to do this. I called AppleCare tech support and was told that volume key location is hardwired into the keyboard. Say it ain't so! There's got to be a way, right?
    Help?
    thank you!

I second this, I still think this was a poor decision on Apple's part. I loved real media keys, this is not a laptop keyboard, (Fn)+(..) should not be necessary. My real complaint comes from IF i can get it to remap in OSX i am still stuck with it as is in Bootcamp. No remapping programs work with (Fn) in XP.
Sorry for the rant but I have actually stopped using the keyboard because of this and finally went back to it to try again.

  • HT3887 how can i configure my wireless keyword so i can use the Function F keys to control volume etc...? I am using 10.5.8 OS

how can i configure my wireless keyword so i can use the Function <F> keys to control volume etc...? I am using 10.5.8 OS

little wireless cameras would not have the ability to send back to the base, even thought the base can reach it.
Now if you take regular cameras and wire them into a Cisco switch that was attached to a wireless bridge that could shine back to the base...now you might have something, but your still going to have to do a survey/path analysis to determine if it is feasible.
Coverage isnt throughput. I see one base station with 3 or 4 sectoral antennas depending on direction, pointing two several distribution bridges to bridge the gaps that go out again to the cameras...something like that. And all of it should be higher in the air than your construction.
