Media List for Net weaver7.3 database DB2
Hello everyone ,
Could you please provide the media list(PDF) to download Net weaver 7.3 windows OS with DB2 database.
Thanks for quick response
Hi Akhil,
if you go to the most viewed tab you will find there Netwiever 7.3, then you have to select DB2 LUW and you Windows OS. Finally you have to select the DB2 release , among the different information
tabs you also have the SAP sw download center:
In the SAP Software Download Center (https://service.sap.com/swdc) you have access to the entire
software portfolio of SAP.
To download software you require the
authorization 'Download Software'. Please see SAP note 1037575 'Software download
authorizations for SAP employees'.

Media list for installation of an PI7.1 system based on NW7,4
Hello
I wander where to get media list for installation of an PI7.1 system based on NW7,4
Thank you in advance
JanHi Jan - Something is not clear..I don't think you can install PI 7.1 from net weaver 7.4.
For PI 7.1 you have separate installation media which is not part of net weaver bundle..
Incase you are planning to install PI 7.4(part of net weaver bundle) then have a look at the below document
Download and Installation of Process Orchestration 7.31
(it's the same process for 7.4) -
Media list required for PI 7.1 including EHP1 for AIX, DB2.
I am in the process of downloading software for PI7.1 including EHP1. But I identified below two links in service market place. Which is one is the correct link for getting combined pack of PI 7.1 including EHP1 for fresh installation?
https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000620973&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&
SAP Netweaver PI 7.1
SAP EMP1 for SAP NW PI 71
I think that we can install PI 7.1 including EHP1 directly without installing 7.1 first and after EHP1. Is this correct?
If anybody have media list for PI 7.1 including EHP1 for AIX & DB2, please share.
Regards
SudhakarHi,
Yes, you can directly install PI 7.1 including EHP1 directly.

Looking for a value in a list stored in a database table field
Hello,
I have a field in a database table that contains a comma
separated list on numbers. In my CFQUERY I am attempting to extract
records from the database table where a parsed number is present in
the comma separated list. I have tried the code below, but it is
throwing an error.
variables.publicationID is the number that I am looking for
in the database table field.
publicationList is the name of the database table field
containing the comma separated list of numbers.
where <cfqueryparam value="#variables.publicationID#"
cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer"> in publicationList
Can anybody help?
Many thanks,
smnbinThe only way to do it with the data model you currently have
is as follows:
WHERE publicationList LIKE '#variables.publicationID#' OR
publicationList LIKE '#variables.publicationID#,%' OR
publicationList LIKE '%,#variables.publicationID#,%' OR
publicationList LIKE '%,#variables.publicationID#'
You need to check for 4 cases:
it's the only ID in the list
it's the first ID in the list
it's in the middle of the list
it's the last ID in the list.
The better solution would be to replace this comma-delimited
list with a mapping table, where each row in this mapping table
contains a reference to the main table as well as a single
publicationID. -
Creating Installation Media component for Database Provisioning in OEM 12c
When creating installation media to use in a database provisioning procedure, do I have to unzip and rezip Disk 1 and 2 before I load them into OEM? I mean can't I just upload the zip files and tell OEM which is the "Main File" via the drop down box in the "Specify Source" section of the "Select Files" tab of the software library entity page?
Thanks for the answer Courtney. Then may I ask, what is the meaning of that "Main File" selection box on the file page?

MGMT$ view for a complete database users list?
Hi,
Is there a MGMT$ view that lists all the users that exist on every database?
eg. mgmt$db_datafiles has a list of all the datafiles on every database. Is there a similar thing for users?
Thanks in advance.
ser_pounceEnterprise Manager Extensibility Guide from Enterprise Manager Documentation in chapter 9 contains list of MGMT$ views. I dont think any of them list existing users in databases.

Pagination support for non-Oracle databases?
Hi,
I just read this thread (Pagination Support on pagination support. Is there any way to get pagination with non-Oracle databases? We are using an IBM iSeries / AS/400 DB2 database right now, and we're planning to use some local lightweight database in the near future as well (probably Cloudscape/Derby or "IBM Everyplace database".)
We currently use code like this:
String sql = "SELECT art FROM Artikel art" +
/* dynamically generated where statement is added here */
+ "ORDER BY art.artikelNummer";
Query q = em.createQuery(sql);
q.setFirstResult(firstResult);
q.setMaxResults(maxResults);If I look in the TopLink logs, I see queries like this:
SELECT ARTNR, ARALT, ARAFJ, ARXII, ARAVJ, ARXIV, ARANJ, AHGCD, ARNVJ, ARCRJ, ARARK, ARFKJ, ARTNK, ARGP1, ASGCD, ARGP2, ARPR1, ARGP3, ARPR2, AREX1, ARPR3, AREX2, ARPR4, AREX3, ARASA, ARINA, ASSCD, ARIA1, ARBAN, ARIN1, ARBAV, ARIA2, ARBAK, ARIN2, ARCES, ARIA3, ARCDT, ARIN3, ARCRE, ARIA4, ARCWK, ARIN4, ARHBH, ARIA5, ARDFA, ARIN5, ARDFG, ARIA6, ARDOS, ARIN6, AREPW, ARINN, ARFOD, ARIAS, ARFOE, ARINS, ARFOF, ARNAB, ARFOI, ARNIB, ARFON, ARNIA, ARFOS, ARNN1, ARFTA, ARNA2, ARVIV, ARNO2, ARGAP, ARNN3, ARGPT, ARNA4, ARGPD, ARNO4, ARGPA, ARNN5, ARGPO, ARNA6, ARHIS, ARNN6, ARISP, ARNIO, ARKHM, ARNNS, MAGCD, AROVJ, MTGCD, ARPL1, ARMXM, ARPL2, MRKCD, ARPL3, ARMVR, ARVKJ, ARMIM, ARV12, ARMDT, ARVVJ, ARMTE, AR#VR, ARMTU, ARZLS, ARMTM, ARIAT, ARMWK, ARAVS, MPCCD, ARNVS, ARBTW, ARFJS, ARXI2, ARG2S, ARXI3, ARE1S, ARXI4, ARE3S, ARXI6, ARIB1, ARXI1, ARIB2, ARXI5, ARIB3, AROPI, ARIB4, ARPRV, ARIB5, SZGCD, ARIB6, ARSPC, ARINO, ARSMF, ARIOS, VEAAN, ARNIS, ARSYN, ARNO1, ARVR1, ARNA3, ARV1S, ARNN4, ARVR2, ARNO5, ARV2S, ARNIN, ARVR3, ARNOS, ARV3S, ARP1S, ARTFA, ARP3S, ARTFG, ARS12, ARUVC, ARZLD, ARUCW, ARAJS, ARBKV, ARCJS, ARVVI, ARG3S, ARVVP, ARINB, VPOCD, ARIO2, VPECD, ARIO4, ARVIH, ARIO6, ARVHG, ARNBS, ARVRW, ARNN2, ARVPR, ARNA5, ARVVR, ARNAS, ARVVS, ARP2S, ARVV1, ARSVV, ARZK1, ARNJS, ARNA1, ARNO3, ARIO1, ARNO6, ARIO5, AROJS, ARE2S, ARVJS, ARIBS, ARIAD, ARIO3, ARG1S FROM ART WHERE ((((ARUVC = 'N') AND (ARHIS = 'N')) AND (ASGCD = 7)) AND (AHGCD = 15)) ORDER BY ARTNR ASC
(Yeah, I know we have too much columns in the table...)
So, no pagination in the query. As you can see, we have a mechanism in place to dynamically generate a where clause. This is because the user can set filters. The problem is, if our user sets a filter that causes the result set to be significantly smaller, the performance is way better than when he sets no filter at all. We suppose this is because the whole result set is sent to TopLink, regardless of the values of firstResult and maxResults.
We are using TopLink Essentials 2.1-10, by the way.

Bart KummelHi all,
I'm trying to subclass <tt>DatabasePlatform</tt> to add pagination support for the AS/400 DB2 database of my customer. To be fair, it is not going very well so far.
The first problem is, the query Chris found by googling (Re: Pagination support for non-Oracle databases?), does not work for AS/400s version of DB2. In fact, although it is called "DB2", the database on the AS/400 system is a whole other database than the "normal" DB2 database that runs on Windows and *nix. The AS/400 DB2 simply does not have a "ROW_NEXT" function.
Another option would be to use the <b>row_number() over()</b> mehtod. But, as can be read here, this function is only available from version V5R4 of OS/400. And guess what? We're stuck on V5R3 at this client. (We cannot upgrade, because there's an application in use that's written in Delphi and IBM dropped the Delphi binding from V5R4...)
So I pretty much ran out of options. On the mailing list I linked to above, someone mentions the option to make a sort of stored procedure that generates a row count number. An example of how to do this can be found here. I implemented it, and ended up with this code:
package com.myclientsname.persistence;
import java.sql.Connection;
import java.sql.PreparedStatement;
import java.sql.ResultSet;
import java.sql.SQLException;
import org.eclipse.persistence.expressions.ExpressionBuilder;
import org.eclipse.persistence.internal.databaseaccess.DatabaseCall;
import org.eclipse.persistence.internal.expressions.ExpressionSQLPrinter;
import org.eclipse.persistence.internal.expressions.SQLSelectStatement;
import org.eclipse.persistence.internal.sessions.AbstractSession;
import org.eclipse.persistence.logging.SessionLog;
import org.eclipse.persistence.platform.database.DatabasePlatform;
import org.eclipse.persistence.sessions.SessionProfiler;
public class AS400Platform extends DatabasePlatform {
private static final long serialVersionUID = 0L;
public AS400Platform(){
super();
super.setShouldBindAllParameters(false);
public void printSQLSelectStatement(DatabaseCall call, ExpressionSQLPrinter printer, SQLSelectStatement statement) {
int max = 0;
int firstRow = 0;
if (statement.getQuery()!=null){
max = statement.getQuery().getMaxRows();
firstRow = statement.getQuery().getFirstResult();
if ( !(max>0) && !(firstRow>0) ){
super.printSQLSelectStatement(call, printer,statement);
return;
} else {
statement.setUseUniqueFieldAliases(true);
ExpressionBuilder builder = new ExpressionBuilder();
statement.addField(builder.getField("COUNTER() AS CNTR"));
printer.printString("SELECT * FROM (");
call.setFields(statement.printSQL(printer));
printer.printString(") AS R WHERE R.CNTR >= ");
printer.printParameter(DatabaseCall.FIRSTRESULT_FIELD);
if ( max > 0 ){
// Use of binding parameters is not allowed here, so use
// String concatenation instead...
printer.printString(" FETCH FIRST " + max + " ROWS ONLY");
call.setIgnoreFirstRowMaxResultsSettings(true);
public boolean wasFailureCommunicationBased(SQLException exception, Connection connection, AbstractSession sessionForProfile){
if (connection == null || this.pingSQL == null){
//Without a connection we are unable to determine what caused the error so return false.
//The only case where connection will be null should be External Connection Pooling so
//returning false is ok as there is no connection management requirement
//If there is no ping sql then we can not perform the ping.
return false;
PreparedStatement statement = null;
try{
sessionForProfile.startOperationProfile(SessionProfiler.ConnectionPing);
if (sessionForProfile.shouldLog(SessionLog.FINE, SessionLog.SQL)) {// Avoid printing if no logging required.
sessionForProfile.log(SessionLog.FINE, SessionLog.SQL, getPingSQL(), (Object[])null, null, false);
statement = connection.prepareStatement(getPingSQL());
ResultSet result = statement.executeQuery();
result.close();
statement.close();
}catch (SQLException ex){
try{
// Had to add this check because of NullPointerExceptions
// (maybe a bug?)
if(statement != null){
//try to close statement again in case the query or result.close() caused an exception.
statement.close();
} catch (SQLException exception2) {
//ignore;
return true;
}finally{
sessionForProfile.endOperationProfile(SessionProfiler.ConnectionPing);
return false;
}(As you can see, I had to override the <tt>wasFailureCommunicationBased()</tt> method as well, due to some unexpected NPE's. (A bug, perhaps?))
This code does work. However, the performance is not very well. The first page comes relatively fast, but as you browse further in the table, each page comes slower. I assume this is because the counter() method has to be evaluated for each row in the table.
I have to get the performance better and constant. Does anyone have an idea how to optimize this further?

Looking for A Powerful Database App
Hello!
I know this is not the best place to ask this question but I didn't have the choice. I am looking for a good database software to make databases for a bit everything: books, CDs, players list in video games, etc.
I have been using FileMakerPro for a long time and this program is great but I grew tired of the interface....even if you can do anything with it I don't like it.
So I looked on the web, I tried iList Data but it is not complete enough for me. And I just heard about AppleWorks. Someone said on a forum that it is better than iList Data.
Is AppleWorks what I could be looking for regarding what I want to do with a database? I want something complete but more userfriendly than FMP.
Thanks a lot!
Vinny.Hi Vinny,
As much as I love AppleWorks and use its DB module, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as a 'new' purchase for one simple reason.
Apple last updated AppleWorks in 2004, noted they were building the successor to AppleWorks in 2005, and declared AppleWorks EOL with the introduction of Numbers in iWork '08.
EOL doesn't mean that the application no longer works, just that Apple no longer sells, develops or supports it.
For someone familiar with the existing version and used to its quirks and foibles, that's not a major problem. For someone coming to AppleWorks cold, it could be.
FMPro is a relational database application, and capable of far more than AppleWorks (a flat file DB). The appearance of the interfaces is similar, as both were designed at Claris, now FileMaker.
OpenOffice.org and NeoOffice (based on OpenOffice.org) both have database capabilities. You may find their learning curves a bit steeper than FMPro's.
Database Options For The Macintosh offers further information on desktop and server DB applications for Mac.

In need of a flash/html5/quicktime audio/video media player for a website
Hello everybody,
I'm looking to get some kind of audio/video media player for a website. I would like it to be customizable, and also most likely read a play list from some kind of text file or xml file.
Normally, I would look for some kind of flash media player, but recently the site might be read from Apple mobile devices also, which of course not flash which might be a problem, so I'm also looking into other options such as some kind of QuickTime media player web application or even html5 player.
I do not personally know how to code in flash or HTML 5, so I would be willing to hire someone to help out.
Is HTML 5 for long enough that it would play on most current browsers? I would imagine that HTML 5 might not work on older browsers–is this correct?
I don't know of any QuickTime media players - any links to get me started?
Does anyone know some solutions to this flash / apple issue?Looks like you are getting a very good lesson in why Flash is the best choice for a Web media player.... plentilful, easily customizable, and is a "right now" solution. Good luck on getting your viewers to download and install the codex need to play an Ogg video!
To add the extra accessabilty for the iPhone etc, use swfobject to provide an alternative video file type... the .mov
Here is an example of a Flash video that plays on the iPhone (well sort of..):
http://www.cidigitalmedia.com/tutorials/qt/play_qt.html
Using swfobject for Flash detection, if the Web browser has the Flash plugin, the Flash .flv video is displayed, if not, the QT, .mov version is displayed.
View the source code for more exact details.
If the Web browser does not have the Flash plugin, alternate content is displayed, which in this case happens to be a QT player, which displays a .mov video. In this case it's just a single video. Now maybe you have a QT player with playlist... but let me tell you.. they are a lot rarer than Flash media players with playlists, xml playlist, etc.... Strong case for Flash here..
But your alt content could just as easily hold a QT media player (with playlist) if such an animal exists.
Info on swfobject:

List of values from Database Adapter - BPM Forms
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to get list of values from Database adapter and a ServiceTask.
As example lets say a table has Employee and Department columns.
I want to list down all the Employees in BPM form (Select One List Box) once i provide the department to the Database Adapter.
Is it possible from the DB Adapter?? What will be the variable type?
Thanks,
NirHi DanielAtwood,
Thanks for your reply...
Actually when i send the variable in 'WHERE Clause' in Db Adapter query it will retrieve more than one record as the output.
I want to put that values to a 'SelectOneChoice' component and list down all the values..
First I tried with data control. But i couldn't find the way to pass the value to the variable(in WHERE clause) to the query in data control view.
Thanks,

Hi Gurus
How can get the deleting list for sale order?
Useful answer duly rewarded back.
Regards,
DevendraHi Devendra,
General Sales order will be deleted form the database after archiving.
Step for Archiving:
Sales Order is archived and deleted by the Archiving object know as SD_VBAK.
If you just want to delete the sales order with out thinking of saving to archive server then please follow the path:
1.GOTO SARA ---> Click Customizing -> click Archiving Object specific customizing (Technical settings)> In delete jobs mention start automatic --> Leave other settings as per the standard save and close it.
2. Click write --> Mention Variant name -->Click on Maintain --> Select all the sales orders that you want to archive and delete --> Mention sales organinsation under which you have created --> Select Production Mode --> Click on Attributes --> Mention meaning of that attribute it could be any text --> Enter and save.
3. Click on Spool parameters --> mention the output type --> Enter now you can see green signal light
4. Click on Start date --> Click on Immediate --> Save.
5. Execute or click F8 and see the job.
6. After some time you can see the data is archived and deleted form the database.
Hope this will help you in deleting the sales order form the database.
Please Note: It is bit complicated you should take help of SAP Archiving consultant.
-Thanks,
Ajay

Help needed with populating a drop-down list from an Access Database
Topic
data drop-down list
Jason Murthy - 11:39am Feb 14, 2005 Pacific
Hello,
I am trying to use the data drop-down list from the custom library. I enter the name of my data connection and the other 2 variables in quotes when they are initialized, just like the example says to, but it still doesn't work. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jason

I am having trouble (sleepless nights) with populating a drop-down list from an Access Database. The result is: I only get the first record from the data connection. So the connection works but I cannot go through the other records. Maybe there is an other way to do this.
I am trying to selectively fill a form with data from an MS-access database.
I hope someone can help me.

The Netherlands (small country in Europe)If you email the access DB and the form to [email protected], I will try to take a look at it for you.

11gR2 Infrastructure Upgrade Question(s) from 10gR2
Hello. We are currently using both Linux (RHEL5) and Solaris (5.10) for all of our Oracle 10.2.0.5.0 RAC DBs. Weare NOT using ASM currently. So, we are going to upgrade our DBs to the latest version of 11gR2 - and this obviously will include our CRS.
